It's really fun when you wait half an hour in the queue for Killer in 2v8 only for your duo to be AFK the entire time and ruin the trial. I'd take a bot Killer over that. Can the devs implement a feature that can remove a Killer after a certain amount of time of doing nothing? I mean this mode has already worn out its welcome massively but if we're going to have it every five minutes anyway some5 comments 161 views last activity

I've been spending some time theorycrafting and I've figured out how as Killer you're meant to work around the incredibly powerful abilities that Survivors get more or less for free during the Black Banquet. Here's my top three tips! If a Survivor suddenly gets a free heal or sprint burst or teleports, simply play Blight, Nurse or Ghoul! They don't care if a Survivor gets a health state back11 comments 382 views last activity

There are more Survivor and more Killer characters in the game than there were this time last year. That means more BP is needed by the average player to spend on perks, items, add-ons and offerings between them. In what way is it then desirable or reasonable that there are fewer of the event offerings that increase BP available overall? I don't want this to become something about hurt feelings o3 comments 152 views last activity

I'm just in the normal queue because I don't like most of the maps they've had in the showcase rotation and the MMR mismatch in these lobbies is unreal. I know that MMR is pretty loosey goosey in DBD in any case, but when the player base is halved or divided up even more unevenly it gets even worse. As Killer I'm waiting a few seconds for a game where I average 5 hooks maybe and that's if I'm pla7 comments 131 views last activity

I get 1 kill and I'm still apparently an awful terrible person who should quit the game because I try to win on mid-to-low tier Killers. What is happening? Am I just supposed to stand by the exit gate and kiss the Survivors on the forehead as they leave?11 comments 282 views last activity

It's such an unhealthy perk. Not only does it make exhaustion perks even more difficult to deal with on Killer, it also disproportionately affects weaker Killers who utilise debuffs as part of their Power. And you only need one Survivor to have it for every Survivor to benefit from it. It's horrible playing against multiple Sprint Bursts or Lithes with a Vigil making them show up almost constantl9 comments 191 views last activity

I've seen a number of posts talking about/complaining about 'genrushing', and while I do feel that generators in my games are going faster than before, I don't think it's down to a single factor. It is an accumulation of a lot of things happening across the game, which I've tried to enumerate below. First, the number of Bloodpoint farming events we've had in succession means that the Bloodweb e33 comments 1,144 views last activity

Yeah it’s a little goofy but it does definitely covey an otherness, an alien divinity like Dürer or Bosch depicted, that ‘floating humanoid figure’ (something we have in spades already) and ‘humanoid figure with extra limbs’ really didn’t for me. I see a lot of people asking for a nonhuman Killer and then when they get shown a really out there design nobody actually wants it. Moreover, I thi16 comments 191 views last activity

I've been trying her out again lately and she feels awful. Survivors now have so much time to turn off her TVs and Condemn provides basically no pressure if you're not on a tiny map. Her Manifestation is kind of a joke power against Survivors with any experience and many of her addons aren't useful at all. Additionally, she has a lullaby that as far as I know still shows up on the Visual Terror R5 comments 131 views last activity

The Swamp maps have no business being in the game as they are. The weird lumpy terrain interferes with Killer powers all the time and there's far too many random bits of poorly-visualised map geometry you can get stuck on for no reason. The object layout/logic is abysmal, and having so many important assets spawning at the edge of the map causes problems every Trial I have there. The main buildin0 comments 22 views last activity

I'm so tired of horrible matches where I feel totally powerless as Killer and I've lost before the match even begins because of perk/power/map/MMR matchups. I no longer have faith that BHVR can fix these problems, so just let me go next without having to DC like Survivors can.36 comments 533 views last activity

Sometimes tunnelling happens because the Killer plays very aggressively and hounds someone out from the start. Other times it is because individual Survivors or the Survivor team as a whole makes mistakes– not healing promptly, not taking chase, not completing side objectives, bad positioning etc– and facilitates tunnelling. There's also the kind of tunnelling where partway through the game the K12 comments 251 views last activity

There's already a lot of systems that have been introduced to the game that simply are not explained in the tutorial or anywhere diagetically (in-game). I don't think it even covers hexes, and they've been in the game since like 2017. Add in the proposed changes and there's a lot of new basekit information and events that aren't clearly demonstrated or elucidated for new players or players who0 comments 11 views last activity

For those who don't remember, there was a PTB where haste effects were reworked so that individual ones were more powerful but they were not able to be stacked. They didn't make it through to live because there was an outcry about the loss of gimmick haste synergy builds on both sides. However, some people felt that while it might have been less fun immediately, it would be healthier for the game13 comments 351 views last activity

Now that the Grimoire has been updated it looks like we're getting an angelic Killer, which I guess I'm okay with, even if I'm surprised at its popularity. But for a moment I was really excited at the prospect of the 'chimeric' type Killer, especially if it had gone in a wolfman/werewolf direction. 'innocent person who turns into a hulking beast' is both a staple of horror and also a niche that's11 comments 161 views last activity

Basically the above. My matches have been absolutely miserable since the event ended, and the only way to get anywhere at all is to be so tryhard and mean that I stop being able to have fun. My theory is that only the super hardcore players who weren't even in the event queue are still around and everyone else has left: hopefully people come back for the Walking Dead chapter. It's not even a square. It's a huge rectangle that's impossible for non S-Tier Killers to navigate and defend at any stage of the game. At the start of the match you usually spawn in the middle, forcing you to commit to searching one side, wasting a lot of time if nobody's there. Even with Corrupt Intervention you end up with horrible gen spreads with really safe loops all closely connected to on2 comments 92 views last activity

Just realised that the 'Rate Your Experience" buttons that appeared at the top of the endgame screen have disappeared. Is that unintentional or a deliberate decision? Maybe devs were tired of everyone saying their matches were 1 out 5.13 comments 201 views last activity

They make a huge number of Killer Powers and addons totally useless, as well as Perks for both sides. Making an event where you can do less stuff than normal seems like a bad idea to me from a design perspective. The change in strategy from normal generators to Blood Generators is potentially interesting but the rest of it removes a whole dimension of gameplay. Does anyone have a different perspe18 comments 681 views last activity

Most perks on both sides are not very useful, or only work in a very specific build or context. There are several perks that are actively detrimental in most situations. This matters slightly less for Survivors than it does for Killer, because they have more perks overall in a lobby, can bring items and have more base-kit utility now than they did in the past. I'm having such miserable matches as Killer right now that I'd like a way to make them go faster without getting a DC penalty. You know, have a way to demonstrate that I know that the Survivors would have beat me if the match had fully played out but I'm saving us all the time. Survivors get to kill themselves on hook and go next with whatever BP they've earned. Can there be an option for the Kil10 comments 152 views last activity

Simply put: why does the Lich (aka Vecna) have a cooldown at the start of the match before he can use his powers but the Dark Lord (aka Dracula) doesn't for his? They have similar effects, and Dracula's are arguably more powerful, but one Killer can use their abilities immediately and the other can't. I wonder whether this, among other things, might be addressed in the upcoming tweaks for the t5 comments 211 views last activity

On some iterations of the Haddonfield map group it is possible for Survivors (possibly Killers as well) to get stuck on top of a hook if they fall off of one the open rooftops from the main building. As far as I can tell this can mainly be used to become untargetable by most Killer abilities or to hide. It was used against me in a match by a group of survivors who brought a map offering and hook0 comments 61 views last activity

Who hurt you? If you wanted to play a randomising game mode, why are you trying to remove the randomness? If you're scared of not having control over everything in the game, maybe you shouldn't play a game mode like this.27 comments 411 views last activity

I'm seeing this perk on at least one Survivor in pretty much all of my games. If I'm not playing a very oppressive killer, gens go by scarily fast, especially since regression perks have been nerfed, and after the event everyone seems to have a million Commodious Toolboxes with Brand New Parts. What's more, Resilience can make chases pretty painful when you keep missing what feel like guaranteed23 comments 573 views last activity

I love the concept of the Knight. A strategic Killer who can multitask and manipulate Survivors while looking awesome to boot. However, the reality of The Knight does not live up to the fantasy. His power is incredibly buggy and difficult to make work in so many places, especially on crowded maps or tight loops, and even when it does function it feels weak and easily outplayed by Survivors simply1 comments 42 views last activity

I'm colourblind, but a lot of the time it's not really an issue in DBD like it might be in some other games once I put colourblind settings on. The only exception is when I struggle to make out scratch marks and auras compared to the ground textures and corn colours on Coldwind Farm maps. This has actually caused me significant problems in games on those maps. I play on console so filters and thi1 comments 41 views last activity

I'm seeing increasing numbers of survivors with really high prestige numbers in my lobbies, but when I check their hours (when I can, I can only check some console players), they often have very few hours, sometimes less than me. It's not that they only level that one Survivor, since they run the full gamut of perks. Even having played through the anniversary event I don't have any Killer or Surv7 comments 882 views last activity

Clown is still bugged where his bottle switches in midair if you change bottle type, and the marker to tell you which type of bottle you're using is still gone. I also assume the camera glitch is still present but I didn't see that when I was playing.0 comments 11 views last activity

Normally you can tell pretty quickly that a certain playstyle doesn't gel with you, but for some reason it's taken me this long (basically a whole year of playing him on and off) to realise that The Mastermind has no redeeming qualities for me. It just clicked in the middle of a game as him: I hate how his power feels, I hate his chase music, I hate his run cycle and I don't even see that when pl5 comments 191 views last activity

Is there an ETA on when there might be a fix for the two Clown bugs– the one that prevents the Killer from seeing which of his Afterpiece bottles are being used and the bug which causes the type of bottle to be switched mid-toss? Thanks :)0 comments 11 views last activity

Just had my 3rd match in a row tonight where I got placed against extremely high Prestige Survivors in really coordinated groups and got destroyed. And all that after a massive loss streak yesterday trying to improve my Singularity play. I've messaged a few Survivors afterwards and they had at least double my hours in the game, some up to 8 times as many. They're all bringing BNPs and Made for Th9 comments 201 views last activity

I know that in theory he can be very strong. But having the terms of your power dictated by Survivors is awful and makes him feel incredibly frustrating and unfun to play. The steps required to use his power effectively are not only almost unfeasibly complex at times, but also extremely vulnerable to very simple Survivor counterplay. EMPs are available all the time at absolutely no cost or risk t9 comments 281 views last activity

This is personal. I don't like being gaslit by a perk. I don't like not being certain why some hits don't connect when they would have normally, and having to consider whether it's latency, cheating or this perk. (PS5) Yet again Twins is fatally bugged. I unbound Victor to chase Survivors on Toba Landing, near the threshold of the main building (see image) that connects to the upper floor, and could not move, charge my pounce, or swap back to Charlotte. Unlike a previous bug I've experienced with Twins, the UI remained visible and accurate. I was hoping a nearby survivor would kick Victor and maybe that0 comments 51 views last activity

I've just been having some of the worst matches of my life recently. I chase Survivors but somehow I never catch up to them before they reach a really safe window or worse a pallet. I either have to spend 5 minutes trying to mind-game them and they predrop the pallet anyway, or just brute force it and accept I'm getting pallet stunned, and then on to the next incredibly loop. A large amount of traffic on this forum (particularly in General Discussion) seems to be jeremiads about how bad Skull Merchant is, and how the devs should killswitch her to rework her or just straight-up remove her from the game (neither of which is going to happen). Basically the title. I love the idea of Oni as a killer, but he's unwieldy, awkward and so easily outmanoeuvred when you're not playing with M+K. All of the things that make him challenging as a killer make him horrible for me on console. The 'aim assist' you get when Demon Striking near a survivor seems to make me miss more often than hit, and the more limited adjustability even a high-sensiti1 comments 41 views last activity

Something of a vent post really. Red Forest (particularly Mother's Dwelling) was generally agreed to be one of the worst– if not the worst– map domains in DBD for Killer. Far too big, an very unforgiving main building and tons of safe loops. Since I don't play S tier killers frequently I struggled a lot with this map, since its size and structure favoured high mobility killers and invalidated a3 comments 471 views last activity

Does this do anything? Trying to determine whether a survivor in my game was cheating or just insanely lucky. Endgame Collapse, 2 survivors dead, 2 never hooked. I catch one and hook them before other survivor leaves. They still get to attempt to unhook because they were hooked before last standing survivor left, no problem. The RPD maps are almost unplayable as Dredge. There are massive swathes of both maps where there are simply no lockers. What lockers there are are often tightly bunched together or centred around hooks, making Reign of Darkness practically useless. I know that RPD is pretty survivor-sided in most scenarios anyway, but to ruin the entire power of a mid-tier killer purely through level design is sa1 comments 42 views last activity
