  • Trying to make a patch rework that (ideally) has less problems compared to the previous iteration of the 9.2 changes. I'm looking for critique more than anything here, as this is a workshop. I don't want to add to the floods of suggestions without getting some opposing views. Me and my perspective of the game: I play 60% killer, 40% survivor, and I don't tunnel or camp (at least not intention

  • I'm trying to guage how much killers are for or against the 9.2 changes (which as of now have been delayed). I'm mostly talking about the anti-tunnel/anti-slugging stuff.

  • Forget all the "Anti tunnel/slugging changes will ruin/save the game," stop making survivors hot! That's the most overpowered ######### in the game! Imagine trying to stab someone, but this is in your face the whole time: And don't even get me started on Sable. Every time I mori her as the Shape, we lock eyes and I envision the life we could have had if

  • I'll admit, I don't like these changes, but at least some of that has to be me getting my butt handed to me, and some more of it has to do with "It's new, kill with FIRE!" mentallity we all have (me included). But, I want to know if anyone else thinks it sucks, and why or why not? For me: What I want is quality of life improvements. Your changing the game to discourage slugging, cool. Make it

  • The following is a bunch of alternative solutions to the idea in Patch 9.2, ones that aim to try and fix the unintended consequences. This is coming from a person who plays about 60% killer, 40% survivor. I'm open to and kind of looking for critique. Anti-Slug: Problem it's trying to solve: Slugging that's unnecessary, and allowing survivors to recover from losing games. Sometimes there's one

  • This is coming from a killer main, but one who is for the goals behind the new PTB updates. I think making it so slugging/tunneling/camping are less viable is good, and while I do think they need to tweak survivor perks that can make this super exploitable (Flip -flop/Boil over which can make it physically impossible to hook someone you downed), I'm not going to add to the arguments against t

  • I do not own the Ghoul, I have not played the Ghoul, and if I did, I am absolutely certain I wouldn't mind him as much as I do. It's one of those things where it looks unfair from my side, but genuinely takes a lot of skill from the other side. Again, I don't really know, but I assume it is that way cause it tends to be. The ghoul is my most hated killer in DBD. I would rather fight Legion/Oni

  • SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: My Mastermind Teammate and a feng Min were stuck all game. I didn't see what led up to it, I just saw the Feng min trapped inside of the Mastermind. I attempted to down the feng min whilst she was inside the wesker, hoping it would free her. She did enter the dying state on my end, but she was still stuck, and even though she was dying, her bleed out meter never progressed.

  • Blood points are important in 1v4 as they allow you to get perks, items, add ons, and offerings, but in 2v8 they don't do anything. This is a good thing, as we don't want it to be that players that grinded a lot get a bunch of advantages, and people who are new to the game don't have those advantages. However, I wanted to present my own ideas on what we could put in for this. For survivors an

  • I hit enter before writing my stuff on accident. Give me a minute. I don't main plague and I have to confess, I don't like to fight her. I'm very concerned as to how she'll play in the 2v8 mode, as her infection kind of works similar to legion: it tends to grow the more survivors are remaining in the trial. Especially in the context of how certain killers (Oni) can seriously utilize things like

  • I've been in que for survivor in 2v8 more for about 10 minutes now, and I'm fine with the waiting, but it's been instant the past couple of times. I tried originally to que for killer in 2v8, then clicked on the, que as survivor while I wait thing, but that didn't do anything. Then I turned the game off and back on, went into survivor que, and now it's been about ten minutes. Is anyone else havin

  • This is mostly a collection of unfiltered opinions aimed at trying to argue for balance changes to the 2v8 mode, before the august return of 2v8 mode. I play about 60% killer, 40% survivor, and I like the 2v8 mode, a lot. I do think that most killers don't have enough power to be a threat, which honestly makes a lot of survivor matches boring, because you don't do anything but generators all

  • Give trapper a shotgun. You only get 2 shots per a trial. Hold control, for 2 seconds to switch from Trap mode to shotgun mode. Shotgun mode lowers movement speed to 4.2 m/s. Aiming the shotgun takes 2.2 seconds, cannot move while aiming, and your max turning speed is 20 degrees per a second. Anything within 6 meters, and a cone of 45 degrees is considered hit when you shoot. Cannot go through

  • This serves no purpose. This is only hatred. I'm hoping it amuses someone. But as far as critique of this game goes, it's not even critique. It's simply, hatred. I think I finally snapped today. I looked upon the godless beast which is Dead by Daylight, and saw a greater monster than I saw a monster hiding under the beasts stomach. So many decisions other players couldn't comprehend, I had made

  • I swear on my mama I main killer, but so far I had ONE game in which fog vials were a problem to fight, and it was because this one Rick Grimes was running a stealth build with it. I've been seeing the weirdest inconsistencies regarding Fog vials and people's takes on them, where people seem to think they 100% blind killers like a flashbang would. Some of what I think is effecting this is… The

  • Sorry, hit enter before I finished writing my stuff. BRB. I understand the red add on makes the fog vials a lot stronger, but other than that, I'm not following the hate. I can see the scratch marks pretty well, and the only game I've really struggled against it is this one game with a Rick Grimes bringing a stealth build into the mix. Other than that, it's been fine. As far as giving survivor

  • I've heard a couple people mention Clown should get to trap generators. I don't like Clown, but I do think he should get some form of Macro gameplay or gen defense, and I don't think buffing his yellow bottles for map mobility like they did was a good way to go about it. That all said, Killer powers should not be a flat out buff to a problem. If you want a power that slows down gens, you need to

  • I don't like to play as or against clown, but I do think as one of the weaker killers, they should be trying to buff his skill ceiling in some way. (By buffing skill ceiling, I mean giving them some new option or tech to learn). There's stuff I appreciate about his current reworks, like requiring more precision with pink bottles, and you're trying to make his yellow bottles more viable, but I don

  • Disclaimer of Bias: I play 60% killer, 40% survivor roughly. I don't think every killer needs to be an A tier, or that Trapper should be super strong, especially when the concept of the killer is to take away survivors options (such as trapping windows and pallets). He is a killer who requires a lot of skill, but that's because he's weak, not because trap setting is necessarily a skilled m

  • Edit: [Just to be clear, I get my butt handed to me as killer all the time. I'm not good. I have to stick to higher tier killers like Hillbilly, Unknown, and Singularity. I'm not making this list because I think this game is Killer sided thanks to these perks.] I'm not of the opinion this game is killer or survivor sided, because there are to many killers/maps/perks/add ons that entirely change

  • I'm biased because I'm a killer main, but I spend almost as much time as survivors (about 60% killer, 40% survivor). I don't own the ghoul, and I don't want to buy him, but please don't just nerf him. He's annoying because of that free health state. Unlike legion who has to actually get to you and stab you, the free health state on Ghoul is an auto aim attack doesn't feel like it has a lot of cou

I don't think every killer needs to be an A tier, or that Trapper should be super strong, especially when the concept of the killer is to take away survivors options (such as trapping windows and pallets). The fact that trapper is weak isn't bad in my opinion, but it should be that he is not map, perk, or RNG dependent. Whilst I don't want to make it so he

  • I main killer, but Wraith has never been a killer that appealed to me. He relies on hit and run, a tactic I don't like to on most killers. That said, I don't think anyone would mind fighting or using these buffs. This is a workshop though, so my goal is to get feedback on my ideas more than anything else. I'm aiming to add depth to killers just as much as buffing any of them. Buff 1: Base kit C

  • This is a workshop: not only is Critique welcome, it's what I'm looking for. I'm speaking as someone who plays 60% of time as killer, 40% as survivor. I would argue most killers in 2v8 are too weak, and that this ends up making survivor boring to play on this mode, on top of a lack of playstyle variation people have pointed out for survivors. That said, Oni, Legion, and the Oni/Legion combo are

  • I'm a stubborn, outlier, and most players like voice lines, even me sometimes. But I prefer my given character to just be a set of cosmetics, and than I make up the character from my actions in game. I'm totally fine with voice lines existing, but I would like it if I don't have to hear Orela complain about the hook being rusty, or that one girl from the Anniversary Game mode who was always talki

  • These are a bunch of ideas I had around base kit game mechanics that I thought would help mostly killers, but I think would still be healthy for both sides. The goals are to make the game more consistent, meaning things like improving Solo Que, Hex Totem spawn RNG, and making it so weaker killers aren't as far behind the strong killers, at least in the early game. That said, this is a workshop,

  • I main killer, but I am coming from a perspective that perks shouldn't really matter. It should primarily be that whatever issue a killer has, such as struggling with pallets or vault locations, is solved within that killers kit. If Trapper struggles at pallets, give him a higher number of Traps he can carry, and make the finishing trap set up sound quieter. This way he can fake setting a trap, o

  • For context: I play about 60% killer, 40% survivor. Buffs to a killer should not just make them "Better." It should add more depth, or nuance, or it should fix problems like RNG and map dependability. I'm focusing mostly on adding nuance, but also making so good survivors, or ones in a SWF, aren't super good against Ghost face. Also, this is a workshop. I'm not actually presenting these ideas, I

  • The short version of this is, if a player does 4 games as a survivor in 2v8 mode, they get to do one round of killer slightly sooner. How we would do this is through something I'll call "Que Tokens." Que tokens are earned by playing whichever side is more requested (meaning whichever one has the bloodpoint bonus), and meeting certain conditions. The conditions for survivors to earn que tokens is

  • As the title suggests, I hate fighting clown, but as one of the weakest killers, I think it's important to give him a shake up of some kind, especially if Behavior intends to nerf killer perks to make it so stronger killers aren't more OP. Being that I hate him, I'm focusing on Buffs that I wouldn't mind fighting, and in fact would kind of like. I do main killer, so there's obviously some bias. I

  • I'm trying to phrase the poll in a way that isn't biased or passive aggressive, but I'm of the opinion Behavior should slow down new chapter production to work on older stuff. Whether that be things like fixing bugs, balance issues, or just taking the time to focus on reworking old things. However, I don't know if I'm alone in this opinion or if this is a common thought process. So I'm trying to

  • These are the 5 perks that I, as a killer main, like most from survivors. My thought process is that by saying I like these, Behavior goes, "Okay, perks like this are what we should make," as opposed to ones I don't like. Yes I'm being sincere, and yes some of these Perks have serious mechanical problems, namely the first one. Also, obviously these are my opinions, so don't freak out about them.

  • I play killer and survivor about 60/40 percent of my time respectively. I'm more interested in having fun than winning, ergo I try to get 8 hooks before my first kill. If someone DC's in the early game, I will play for real, but I'll let whoever doesn't dc go unless I'm trying to build up MMR. Also, despite what a lot of killer mains have said, I've seen a pattern that I kind of like with Behavio

  • Knockout makes it so when a survivor is put into the dying state by the basic attack, they're aura is hidden from teammates further than 16 meters away, and inflicts them with the blindness status effect while they're on the ground. The result is that this perk is used for a very sluggy playstyle, and often in a match where the killer will never hook, but instead just make everyone bleed out. For

  • This is one of those "My dream rework," for The Shape, after looking around the forums, and doing some polls. The main idea with this rework isn't to buff myers to s-tier, it's to give him more options, and fix quality of life issues without adding assets or animations that I can't expect behavior to implement. 1. • This is an angry killer main, coming fresh of a game in which survivors did something I don't like, and now I'm going "Argh! How could the devs allow this," but I genuinely want to know how to counter this because I've got nothing. I've never heard anyone complain about it before, so it's probably easy to counter, I just don't know how. If you don't know what I'm talking about, sometimes survivor

  • I’m a killer main, but please don’t misunderstand this as a “what my dream rework for each killer would be.” What I’ve here is a bunch of guidelines on how Behavior should do killer buffs, if they do any. The criteria for good buffs is as follows: The buff incentivizes good playstyle (rewards anti-tunneling/camping playstyles, rewards killers for using their power of what makes the killer univ

  • For context: I'm a killer main, and obviously bias. I want it to be that killer has a legitimate reason to go around hooking each survivor, but not on that is so good people who been unhooked are invincible until the killer has hooked everyone else. The concept is based on an older, bad idea I had where if the killer hooks a person who has the fewest hooking states, the killer gains a basekit t

  • The premise of this game mode is there are teams, each with 1 killer and 4 survivors. The survivors are trying to complete as many gens as possible, and the killers are trying to get as many hooks (not just kills) as possible. At the end of the match, a score is determined based on how many hooks and generators each team got, and whoever has the higher score wins. Killers lose perks, but instead

My goals for this rework: Maintain how Myers actually

I'm not saying he isn't annoying to fight, just that he's fun too. However, his dash attack is what I consider the easiest to use in the game, and it has minimal counter play. • For context, I'm a killer main. I find that in games where you don't tunnel, it's more fun, but not only is there not a lot for survivors to counter it without having a loadout geared towards that (Decisive, BT, Sabo builds which are just as effective if the killer is choosing not to tunnel), there's not a lot of incentive for the killer to not tunnel, except for having more fun. So, here's my

It's so annoying for her to get scan lines on you, gain a huge speed boost, whilst you're hindered in the area you're in, just because she said "NO LOOPING HERE!," without slowing down and giving you the option to go elsewhere. There's also the fact that it is super annoying to get scanned by the very tip of the scanline, and suddenly I'm hindered and injured. I think the

You can try and vault it as survivor and it will make you do a vault animation roughly 0.5 meters away from the window, not actually vault the thing, and keep you in the same spot. It's on these burned house tiles, not the main building. I can't leave a screenshot (i tried but I'm doing something wrong). It's been like this since the Dracula PTB, b

However, there's an issue right now with how if the killer slugs, it will technically kill a survivor faster than hook

  • I need some input on an idea I had regarding how Totems should work in DBD. My main goal is to make it so RNG doesn't screw over the killer into never being able to use there perk, nor does it guard the totem without any effort from the killer. The way I view it, Hex Perks should be something where the killer is almost guaranteed to have it early game, but will probably lose it mid to late game.
