  • I feel like most people have settled on whether or not they like 2 V 8 by now and I'm kinda on the not so much side of the camp. Not that there's anything fundamentally different or worse about it this time around, it's pretty much the same as it ever was. That's sort of the problem for me. The Survivor side of the mode has barely changed in serveral iterations now. I like using the void crystal whenever I can find them, but that's all there is that's new (the fact that they also took away the herbs from the last version adds to the stale vibe imho).

That said, I think it's still enormously popular with most of the player base. It took an age to queue up for the one Killer game I played in the regular mode (usually I would get into a Killer game instantly at this time of night).

I glad it's here for the people that like it, but I think I'll just play enough to complete the quests and then do something else for the next 2 weeks. There's only so much Ghost Face I can take. The dude is my Legion / Skull Merchant.

  • Yes and no. It's still one of my all time favourite games, but I find I need to be in the right mood to play or else something will happen that will make me grumpy.

Besides a few small hiccups, I genuinely think operation health is going really well. I think it will be in a pretty good place for new players by the time the next chapter drops.

  • I'm at 15 and feel like at the rate I going, I should be able to make it beyond 70 levels without having to grind for it. I'm not even playing all that much, just a couple of hours every other day.

I don't think I'll be buying the rift this time around though, despite actually liking a lot of it. There's nothing for any of my mains and / or the cosmetics are not really my style. In any case, I like new system and overall think it's better, even if I'll miss the uniqueness of the Tomes and the ability to go back in time to complete them even after a rift has long been closed.

This might not be unpopular, but honest to Gonzo, I'd rather lose on any map, then play a game of Hawkins lab, regardless of if I win. It's so tight and narrow, that most times I can't hit a survivor, but if I do hit them, they didn't have anywhere to dodge. It doesn't feel like there are good mind games on the map. I'm certain someone will disagree, and that's fine.

I love RPD and I HATE, I mean HATE Hawkins and cursed its return lol

Good to see some fellow Hawkins haters. I knew I wasn't the only one.

There are only two maps I dislike as much as Hawkins, The Forgotten Ruins and Dead Sands. It's pitch black down in the dungeon on Forgotten Ruins and not much easier to see above ground (this might change soon with the new settings coming for console, because it's not as bad on PC). And despite the decent number of pallets on Dead Sands, on this tiny map nowhere really feels safe to me. It's like BHVR decided that rather than balance the Eyrie to address the problem of map offerings, they decided to add one of the most Killer sided maps ever to the realm instead.

I doubt those are unpopular opinions, though. I think those two maps are probably universally disliked.

  • As a Legion main, I LOVE getting multi level maps with high pallet and window densities. Give me RPD, Midwich and The Game to play on, because those maps have relatively easy to defend gens that are often easy to ping pong between and chain hits, since they tend to spawn fairly close together between the two floors. I'm in my element on these maps.

Also, their expanded terror radius in Frenzy gives them a pseudo-stealth because there are few open lines of sight, you can often sneak up on Survivors. Their power is really effective and fun to use on these maps, especially compared to wide, high visibility maps that give Survivors more opportunities to see you coming to pre-run away from their gens.

I also really like Toba Landing, but this is less for game play reasons. I know it has some strange looping structures that a lot of Survivors don't like, but that stuff doesn't matter much when you can hardly loop anyway! I mostly just dig the Sci-Fi aesthetics, all the little details and the beauty of the map.

IMO the numbers are fine. From what I have seen, my progress on the Rift is pretty good.

However, my main point with the Quest-System is that it is really, really boring and does not feel rewarding. The challenges so far are just "play the game". I think some of the older Tome-Challenges were a bit too much "Throw the game", especially on Survivor. Killer was mostly "play the game", but there you also had challenges which spiced up the gameplay.

And of course having to play certain characters or using Perks you would usually not use made it interesting. With the current Quest-System there is 0 reason for me to play any Survivor besides the one I am playing anyway and 0 reason to play any Killer aside from the one I want to play. And it makes it honestly a bit boring.

Plus, a big turnoff for me is that you cannot claim the Rift-Progression yourself anymore. It being automatic feels it less exciting. Before I would claim the Rift Tiers and be like "Oh, the new Jake-Head, neat.". Now I just get it and sometimes I dont even realize what exactly I have gotten.

I would like to see character specific quests return. Maybe they could have a character related daily in addition to the other three dailies that you can re-roll one time (if you get a character you really don't want to play). It doesn't have to be anything special. Just something like "use power x amount of times" or "be chased for x amount of seconds as such and such". I think it was good for variety.

I don't know about other players, but I used to do the odd daily for the BP. Since they changed it, I've mostly stuck to playing my mains.

  • Glad to see they are keeping an eye on it, but I feel like I'm making pretty good progress with the rift so far. Of course, I've not done the maths like others have, so I don't know if I'll be able to complete it.

But I think I'll still finish the rift with all the content without a crazy amount of grinding. It probably helps a lot that I play both sides of the game, though.

  • I've said this before, but I'm not a fan of this upcoming change.

Not looking forward to the entire lobby emptying out just because I've got Self Care or a silly locker Dweet build equipped.

  • It's a Gremlins chapter with Billy Peltzer and Kate Beringer as Survivors!

Or A Jurassic Park chapter with Dr Alan Grant and Dr Ellie Sattler!

    Don't tell me I'm coping.

  • I'm kinda glad they've removed it, to be honest. I just used it as a knee jerk way to vent about the game.

I won't lie, my grumpy behind would often rate a trial 1 out 5 if something happened that ticked me off.

  • I hope the Tomes stick around in one form or another. As a charm enjoyer, it's been fun to be able to go back into the old Tomes to collect all of the past evolving charm sets. Some of the best charms are in those tomes (the rabbit ones, hatching spider, the universal ones, to name just a few).

Unlocking these has keep me busy at times when there's not been much in the way of new content or events going on. I'd hate for newer players to miss out on that.

  • I feel like some of you guys must be playing a different game to me sometimes. You guys must be pretty good at the game, because I feel like I see a decent mix of high and low tier Killers in most of my play sessions (I Solo Q only).

That said, players who SWF up, play with comms, loop well, play altruistically (but don't throw), load up on best perks and items and escape a lot, should not expect to see anything other than top tier Killers. My Legion would be lucky to get more than two hooks against a team with an ultra competitive mindset like that. It's almost as if DBD isn't really designed to account for stacking the deck that far in your favour. I would have to play in a such a ruthless way just be in with a chance (I don't enjoy playing this way and I know most Survivors don't enjoy it either).

I feel like the time that I play has a big effect on which Killers I see. If I play in the daytime when less people are playing, I might see a lot more low tier Killers like Ghostie, Pig or Myers. If I play at a time when only the SWFs are still online, I'll see more top tier Killers. When I play at a time I suspect most people are playing, I see a pretty good balance. So yeah, people are still playing M1 Killers in my experience.

  • Aesthetically speaking, I really like the new rift skins. But then I'm a big fan of plants so that probably sways my opinion a little.

That said, I wouldn't use any of the Survivor ones. Flashy, attention grabbing skins that the Killer can see a mile away don't complement my play style (unfortunately, that makes quite a lot of skins pretty unappealing to me).

  • If I'm honest, I think I would rather play against the original DC Merchant over The Ghoul. They are probably my least favourite Killer that isn't Ghost Face. Any Killer with an oppressive chase power and full load out of aura perks and add-ons is not a recipe for a fun time (especially when you can barely loop a basic M1 Killer).

That said, his popularity has already fallen off quite a bit and I've not seen more than a couple in the last week or so. Or his performance is such that he's already way above whatever my rock bottom MMR ranking must be and I just don't see Ghouls anymore. Either way, I kinda hope it stays that way for me.

  • Oof, My least favourite Killer is coming to 2V8 (Ghost Face). I guess it had to happen one day. I'm not Oni's biggest fan either and no juicy incentives this time, so I might be sitting this one out. Or adding to the Killer queue times waiting to play the odd embarrassing Legion game.

Disappointed to see that once again, there don't appear to be any new Survivor classes planned (especially since only two of the 4 are any fun). But I am excited to see the void bombs added to the mode because those are lots of fun.

  • I mean, outside of edge cases like a strong 3/4 man SWF on Discord, the game is Killer sided by design. I don't see how more randomisation in the mode would change that to any significant degree. Camping and tunnelling is how a lot of Killers play the game anyway. I will say that as Survivor, I never like to see a map offering in play because I know it can put otherwise chill Killers in a more competitive mood and thus increase the chances of sweaty play styles.

That said, I jumped back into the regular mode after some Chaos Shuffle games with plenty of both and found the experience to be a lot more chill, so there may be some truth to what you say. BHVR give us a silly meme mode to play around with and some of us see that as an invitation to take the gloves off. Short of making sweaty play styles impossible, I'm not sure what else BHVR could do to encourage a more casual mindset.

  • Seems like an interesting idea to me, if true.

I'd love to play some Legion games in the 3rd person, since they have so many cool cosmetics and an "anything you can do I can do better" aspect what with their ability to fast vault over pallets and windows. It would feel pretty natural, I think. Like they're just one of the Survivors who turned against the others to do the bidding of the Entity.

  • Yes, the novelty has worn off a little bit but it's still my favourite DBD variant overall.

I just like trying to get value from whatever build the entity gives me and I guess the slot machine aspect of whether I will get good or bad perks is kinda addictive too. Even the camping and tunelling bothers me less than it might otherwise because it's hard to take the mode all that seriously. It also stays fresher for longer compared to 2V8. Mostly because of the infinte perk variations compared to the 4 classes of 2V8 and the limited Killer roster / crazy queue times.

Of course it has some shortcomings. Perks that need urgent reworks can pop up (Like Hex: Third Seal and No Mither), with the potential to make some trials a terrible time. I also wish BHVR would fully embrace the random spirit of the mode and make all items, offerings and add-ons totally random. The temptation to bring the strongest things to trial is too strong for some players (Guilty as charged. I always bring my favourite Killer add-on combos and a juicy Med-Kit).

  • Nice! Meg will be my first P100 Survivor too (but she's only at P40 so far).

My Legion is getting pretty close, though. They're currently at P88. And yes, I do have hundreds of soon to be useless Bloodshot Eye offerings. Thanks BHVR 😅

No one who runs Lightborn cares about playing optimally. They just want the annoying blinds to stop. You and every other angry survivor can argue until you're blue in the face about how Lightborn is a "bad perk" that no one should use but no one who uses it actually cares. It is a convenience perk and little more.

Amen to that. I run Lightborn because I want to be in a good mood playing the video game I love and flashlights frankly irritate me. It's as simple as that. It's well worth wasting a slot on a crutch perk if it allows me to relax a little bit more when playing Killer.

I'm sure if all those Lightborn haters out there got their way and BHVR nuked the perk, they'd be back here soon enough wondering where all the relatively chill Killers disappeared to.

There’s one question about why you took a break from the game or something, and the answer options are all survivor sided like killer power/perks too strong, and nothing about why a killer player might have stopped playing.

It does give an insight into the devs mindset that the killer players are not as important.

Maybe they have data that shows Survivor players are the ones who take the most frequent breaks from DBD? I don't take that many breaks from DBD, but I do sometimes stop playing Survivor to play only Killer for a little while.

I can only speak for myself, but it's more fun to play Killer than it is to play Survivor at the moment.

  • The Ghoul got nerfed!? Pfft.

I played him today and I didn't notice any difference. Still the third best Killer in the game by a long shot.

Honestly you can just sit in the main doorway next the downstairs Generator. Survivors cannot physically access the upstairs Generators without being hit or bodyblocked, and Survivors downstairs are close enough to just swing at.

Also keep in mind that there are two Dull Totem spawn locations within that house (downstairs in the kitchen, upstairs in the "matress" room), so if you get lucky enough to have Hex: Ruin spawn there, you can bypass the 8-Regression Limit.

The more you think about this whole Gen Spread, the worse and funnier it gets.

Legion don't even need Ruin. They can bring their Fuming Mix-Tape add-on (with the Scratched Ruler to recharge their power quicker) and regress those gens by frenzying Survivors for an unending cycle of infinite mending torture!

That's a truly evil 3 gen spawn, if ever I saw one.

  • I also get around about 55 - 65 ms ping when I play on PC (over WiFi). I think that's pretty decent, tbh.

Weird thing is, this is better than what I get when playing on my Nintendo Switch, which is around about 75 - 85 ms on a good day (sometimes it goes above 100 ms).

I've tried everything I can think of to improve things but to no avail. I've even forked out money for an ethernet adapter but it made virtually no difference. It's such a mystery to me. One that I can only put down to an extra layer of Nintendo jank on top to the regular DBD jank that somehow adds an extra 20 ms to my connection. I get 40 ms when playing Fortnite on my Switch, so my best guess is that Fortnite has better netcode or closer local servers (or both). I think I'm at least 200 miles away from my nearest DBD server. I also think Switch DBD might frequently send me to a European server, judging by the names of a lot of players. Perhaps that's also an issue?

DBD is just about playable at 80 ms, but pre dropping pallets is really your only option. There's no chance of stunning the Killer before they hit you. That said, having better ping is typically a big advantage regardless of the side you're playing. I've played against plenty of Survivors with 20 ms connections and they've usually been able to get reliable pallet stuns, as well as avoid most hits over vaults and pallets.

If the match making system could match up players with similar ping to the server, that would be a big improvement. But that could also impact on queue times, so I can understand why they'd be reluctant to do so.

  • From my experience, you can only spend cells you bought on Nintendo Switch on Nintendo Switch purchases in the in game store. But if you have any spare cells on Switch left over and you also have cells that you bought on another platform, those other platform cells will appear when you log into your Switch (but you will never see your Nintendo cells on any other platform, as you probably already know).

I was able to afford the Iron Maiden shirt for my Sable this way because I had 240 cells on my Steam account and 10 cells left on my Switch. So when I logged into my Switch account, I had enough combined to afford the shirt that I couldn't buy on Steam. I don't know if that helps you at all. But I've been able to completely clear out my Nintendo account of all the cells that are locked over there in this way.

No matter how many times I get sent there, I always get lost on… is it West Wing? Trying to get from the exterior exit gate to the main room. Go up the stairs, and yet, I keep going through the corridors expecting a left turn to have materialised somewhere. Brain just turns off when I play it. xD

I feel the same way about Hawkins. No idea where I am on that map. Those dead end rooms that spawn with only one way in or out? Yeah, I'm guaranteed to run into one at the worst possible time.

  • Personally, I'm not sure sending Killers to RPD is the gotcha a lot of Survivors think it is.

I've been sent to RPD so many times in both my Killer and Survivor games that there isn't a map I don't know better in the game. Besides, as a Legion main it can often be a pretty happy hunting ground for me (though I know other Killers like Trapper, Billy and Huntress suffer terribly on those maps).

I genuinely LOVE getting this map as Legion. And if it's to counter Kaneki... Well, I've not faced many Ghouls that've struggled on any maps, frankly. I think they're the third best Killer in the game right now.

  • I estimate it's normally around 20% to 30%, but my "official" escape rate according to BHVR is 35%. I think that's probably gone down a little, though. I play at times when there's a BP incentive for Survivor, which usual makes for more uneven trials and I run silly meme builds often, so that probably has a negative overall effect on my escape rate. I also think my MMR must be as low as it can go, which no doubt hurts my chances as well.

But it's hard to tell what my real escape rate is, because I exclusively play events whenever they're live (Chaos Shuffle / 2 VS 8 / Blood Moon etc). Since BHVR don't track event stats and the match making is a lot more lenient in those modes anyway, I probably escape a lot more or a lot less than usual (depending on the mode in question).

There's also not much time when only the regular mode is available to play these days, so I hardly ever play normal DBD anymore.

  • Ah, I didn't realise. Thanks for the update.

  • bpfix.jpg

Are we sure Blood Generators have been fixed? I swear they're still not giving BP in the objective category. I completed two blood gens in this trial and got nothing in Objectives.

  • The only reason I bring the eye is because I've run out of cakes on my main. I also won't bring party streamers or anniversary cakes because doing so seems to jinx me by summoning the sweatiest possible Killers and I get less than 10K BP. Plus, I'd rather save those for a time when I know everyone else will be burning them.

I wish BHVR would make the offerings stack for everyone but I think they want the BP gains to come from hitting the community goals instead.

  • These all seem like decent changes to me (even if it means the silly turbo Legion end game build will no longer be possible).

I'm glad to see Penti get some changes, too. Probably not a problem for SWFs with a dedicated Totem finder, but when this perk is paired with Plaything it's an absolute Solo Q destroyer. With the recent Knock Out change as well, I hope we'll see less things in the game that disproportionately damage the Solo Q experience.

  • I know radio silence from the devs can be frustrating, but I believe they are working hard to make the game better. Even small things like showing the number of items / addons that you have left from today's hotfix patch:

    numberofitems.jpg

We all know there are biger fish to fry, but I think players sometimes don't appreciate how long these bigger issues can take to fix (especially with DBD's legendary spaghetti code). This is the kind of game where changing one little variable could give the Nurse infinite blinks or something else just as absurd.

  • Not that many Killers do anything other than play their regular game of DBD when queuing for the events anyway, this time around they've got an excuse not to because there really is nothing for them to interact with! This is a typical complaint for me when it comes to these events and Blood Moon is even worse than the others in this respect.

BHVR, you've got to give both sides a reason to do event stuff or they just don't work. Bone Chill was a blast because both Survivors and Killers could make use of the snowmen. This one, not so much…

I'm still gonna play it because I'm an events gamer first and foremost, but if lots of other players want to sit this one out, I totally get it. I can't help but feel like this year's Blood Moon is a little under cooked.

  • I love running scene partner Steve.

I learned in one of my recent Killer games that Sheva is also another excellent choice (she sounds even more like a Seagull than Steve does).

  • If one of the last 2 Survivors is slugged on the ground like this, please let them abandon the game without getting a DC penalty. BHVR, you guys said operation health is about making DBD a game that respects a player's time.

Being slugged and unable to do anything while the Killer goes off to find my teammate does not respect my time. I had a Blight do this to me today and it soured an otherwise fun game.

  • So long as players remember there are other Killers in the game beside The Ghoul, the event will be fine. The new Killer being near impossible to Survive has been a running theme for me since Alien, so that's nothing new. I don't care who the Killer is, it's never much fun to play against the same Killer over and over again.

So I'll be doing my part by playing the buffed up Legion (sorry).

  • I don't think any more Killers need to be buffed, to be honest. Maybe Trapper could do with a few buffs, but he's not as weak as some players think. And Skull Merchant is in a very sad state at the moment.

As for nerfs, Blight could do with a few more nerfs. I appreciate the skill it requires to properly learn the Killer, but when facing a good Blight, it often feels like there is very little you can do to avoid getting hit at most loops in the game. Just an absurdly strong Killer.

I think Singularity has been over buffed. Even before his buffs, he was already a very strong Killer (albeit one with a very high skill floor). But I don't think I've escaped one since they buffed him and has pretty much no weaknesses that I can identify. I especially dislike the nerfs to the EMPs, since they're his only meaningful counter play. Good luck getting a gen done before being interrupted now that the biopods don't stay deactivated for very long (especially with perks like Grim Embrace and Pain Res).

I'm sure The Ghoul will get some nerfs, but it's too early to say what those should be so I'll reserve judgement for now. He's easily the strongest Killer at release that I've ever faced.

I freely admit to being a rubbish Survivor and I'm barely able to loop, so take what I say with that in mind.

  • For me, 12 - 3 PM is a slaughter fest. Clueless teammates usually versing a competent (but not especially tryhard) Killer. You can run the Killer for at least a gen only to look at the hud to see that yes, were are indeed still at 3 gens and not a single Survivor is repairing one.

From 4 - 6 PM, the sweatier Killers come out to play but the Survivors are still the same. This is the worst time to play for me.

From 6 - 10 PM my games become more balanced and generally feel fairer. I assume this is the time that the most players are online so the MMR system is probably working better. This is the best time to play for me.

10 PM - 12 AM is what I call SWF O'clock. Instant Killer queues but fairly long Survivor queues. I sometimes play Survivor at these times for the novelty of playing with Survivors that really know what they're doing. They'll often be able to save my potato Survivor behind, but the Killers tend to be a bit too much for me, with high chances of facing a Blight or Spirit. Sometimes they'll be a wannabe bully squad SWF and be throwing themselves at the Killer (that's not so much fun because I know the Killer will be in a bad mood and nobody will survive). But I usually just play Killer at this time.

After 12 AM - Things get weird. 50% chance you'll get meme Survivors or tryhards.

Saturday all day is sweaty. Sundays can be pretty chill.

The search bar is there, just hidden under the initial pop-up window that shows what charms you have equipped. By clicking on the icon again, it goes away.

I only just learned about the charm search bar yesterday. So I'm not surprised somebody else out there had no idea it exists.

  • I've been using a similar build, but with Fire Up and Forever Entwined instead of Spirit Fury and Bamboozle. Sometimes I swap out Surge for Brutal Strength and use the Fuming Mix-Tape instead of Iri Button for gen regression. I personally don't think they're that much stronger to be honest, but they are certainly much more fun. I loved playing them before the buffs of course, but this takes the fun to the next level and that's the important thing to me, really.

That said, I'm sad to see they've finally fixed Fire Up so that it no longer increases vault speed in Frenzy (what the Entity giveth, the Entity taketh away…). All I need now is an add-on that increases vault speed and I'll be the happiest Legion main.

  • Huge W! If it is a bug, let's hope they don't bother to "fix" it. But this is definitely something players have been asking for, so I don't think it is.

I've been using Jeff's Ormond sketch charm to rep my love for Legion on my Meg, but now I can also use all the Susie ones that I've got, too. And my Meg Figurine is definitely going on my hooks. Thanks BHVR!

  • Be nice to see DBD for Switch 2 perform at least as well as it does on the Steam deck. I think I read somewhere that Switch 2 will have similar specs, so hopefully performance will be equivalent to DBD on low settings with at least 60 fps.

That said, I don't actually think DBD runs too badly in handheld mode on a Switch Lite. I tend to view Switch DBD as the portable version of the game. The version I play mostly when I'm visiting my family and away from home. So I'm not in any hurry to upgrade to Switch 2 just yet.

Performance when playing docked is a rough experience and ping is consistently higher on Switch. It also looks pretty terrible on a big screen. If they can address those issues for the Switch 2 version, I'll be happy. I wouldn't even mind if we just got a flawless, slightly improved version of the current DBD Switch experience for Switch 2, though I'm sure it will eventually be upgraded specifically for the platform in time.

There's got to be limit to the number of system BHVR can realistically support though, so I guess we'll see.

  • They feel a lot better to play now, but the buffs have barely moved the needle when you go up against half way decent Survivors. I'm still only getting 6-8 hooks before the gens are pretty much done and I don't always bother to pay attention to who I've hooked, so I've lost most of my games despite the buffs (obviously that's on me for not tracking who's on death hook at 2 gens left). Legion are barely stronger than before, they just feel nicer.

I'm still loving the changes, though. I'm really enjoying the 10 second power recharge with the Scratched Ruler add-on. You can genuinely Frenzy for distance now and it's pretty good paired with the button or the Fuming mix-tape. It's definitely made me change up my build.

The MMR system is probably struggling to find me suitable opponents with the huge Killer wait times being what they are, so I don't know how well they perform against the Survivors that I usually go up against. I think players that already struggle against them will hate the buffs, but they won't bother the more skilled Survivors so much. But the same could be said whenever other low tier Killers like Myers, Ghostie or Doctor gets buffs, too.

I'd like to see some future buffs and QoL changes for sure, but I think we should wait a little while to see how these buffs work out first. I think they're in a better spot than they were, at least from a fun to play perspective.

  • Best to do the Adept now while he's totally busted and overtuned, I guess.

I know it's early days and nobody knows what (if any) counter play they have, but to my mind he must be the most over powered Killer I've faced so far on their release. I've only been playing since Skull Merchant, mind you.

Oh well. He'll be up there in Blight / Nurse MMR soon and I'll barely see one after the next week or so.

  • Not gonna lie, I never had the map knowledge to be able to tell the variants apart anyway, so I doubt I'll be missing them much (especially not the Badham variants).

I get the idea behind them, to keep things feeling fresh for players, but to be honest there are already a lot of maps in DBD even before considering the extra variants. Things were in danger of becoming unwieldy and difficult to maintain, so I totally get why they've done this.

  • I will be. I know nothing about Tokyo Ghoul but he looks like a lot of fun to play all the same. He'll probably play a bit like Demo to me (in other words, I'll be pretty terrible with his power but I'll still have some fun launching myself across the map).

But to be honest, I'm mostly looking forward to playing with the new buffed up Legion. I want to make a silly do everything faster build for them with The Ghoul's Forever Entwined perk. Got a Million BP all saved up and ready to spend.

  • I'm hoping the trailer is kind of a teaser for a future neon city street map that they're got in the works. There's a generator in the middle of the street, after all! I don't care if it's based in Japan, South Korea or Hong Kong, just so long as it's suitably Blade Runner-esque.

Come to think of it, Blade Runner could make for a pretty cool full DBD chapter (map with a Killer and Survivor). Before anyone says it's not horror, Ridley Scott's version is essentially a modern retelling of Frankenstein, so I think it could totally work for DBD. Roy Batty wouldn't really work so well as a Killer though, unless the entity took an earlier version of him to the one he became at the end of the film.

  • I liked to upvote certain posts in the past as a way to say thank you for sharing that opinion, that wasn't something I'd considered before. This was especially true of opinions that I didn't necessarily personally agree with. But now I feel like I can't really do that anymore, since with the presence of a downvote button, I feel like upvoting something gives it my approval.

I also find that the best forum posts have been the ones that have taken nuanced approaches to certain issues. These posts are unlikely to get as many upvotes or downvotes because they tend to be reasonably balanced or because people might agree with some of what was said, but not everything. I worry that this kind of feedback is going to fly more often under the radar if BHVR are just looking at feedback as some binary thing.

I've also felt less inclined to share my own opinion since downvotes were brought in. Sometimes you'll write something and get downvoted and be left feeling puzzled by what it was that you'd said that was disagreed with. It doesn't feel like a helpful feature to me.

Surge is fine. It's only 8%

I agree. If two Survivors are on the gen, that 8% barely slows them down. Please don't get my favourite regression perk nerfed. It really doesn't need to be :(

Reducing the area of effect will destroy a lot of the fun of the perk, too. I like making lots of gens go kaboom.
