Styptic was actually a really interesting change. I like how unique it is. The needle feels a bit underwhelming now though. If it only heals one health state then it's not worth it to me.
-
While possible, I don't see why they would. How often do you see people complain about Billy? He's honestly pretty fair. I feel like he's the most balanced killer in the game. My only complaint is the saw hit boxes are a bit questionable.
-
My only gripe is how over priced the cosmetics are. $10 for a single outfit is nuts.

Did it really though? I've tried it in the past. All you need to do is put on Empathy and stay close. Bonus points if you're on voice chat and they can tell you when they're about to go down. You can spend that time working on nearby totems or generators, even.
Obviously if you're waiting around for the chance to use it then no. I'm talking about having the situational awareness to make the save at the right time. Similar to a flashlight save without the aiming. I never used the insta heals, so the changes don't really matter to me. I just think your assessment of how mindless it was is a bit unfair.
-
@Peanits said:
Yes, we did. They were far too powerful and didn't take any planning or skill to use. Any time you got hit, you could use it to get a free health state. You could even use a syringe after the killer downs a survivor to completely negate the entire chase and reset them back to healthy. It was definitely too much.
I agree they were too much. But the picking up a downed survivor did take some planning and timing to use effectively.

25% is huge.
Imagine if it were possible for the killer to be given an ability to instantly remove 25% of a survivors bleed out timer, or 25% off of a survivors sacrifice timer?
25% doesn’t seem so small anymore does it.
A BnP completes 5% of the total survivor objective. In order to be equivalent it would have to reduce each survivors hook times by 6.25%.

Don't care to be honest.
-
This again? -sighs- Very well. I'll start with saying I dislike Noed. I do feel it's kind of a cheap perk. It's also easy to counter. Will there be times that you can't because of being chased? Of course. Your team will fail to help cleanse totems. But it's still pretty easy to avoid. They upped the points, made them count towards your emblem, and gave us an awesome healing perk based around cleansing. With all those incentives only damned fools refuse to cleanse totems.
-
Two activations with 30 seconds each. Or just leave it alone. Whichever.
-
So don't be a dick.
-
Best solution I can come up with is base it on killer movement. Say 5 minutes without moving triggers egc. This would prevent people playing legitimately from being unfairly punished.
I remember a couple of times where the game went very long because I was looking for the hatch. The one the killer DC'd. I'm pretty sure he thought I was just holding the game hostage. But I was actively trying to find the hatch. The other I was hanging around the barn on one of the Cold Wind Farms maps because I swore I heard the hatch. It was actually on the opposite end of the map. These were both when I was a complete noob. Also examples of people trying to play legitimately while likely being misinterpreted.
-
Just hide all offerings. Problem solved.

Oh, btw, yes: I'd love to see BP Offerings buffed some more.
It's always nice to get some more, but it's just weird to have Escape! Cake & Survivor Pudding at the same rarity as those weaker BP-category Offerings.
I know. It always baffled me. Cakes and pudding being the same rarity as the letter and shell.

@thrawn3054 Same, like those useless 3k Bp offerings, amirite?
I don't mind those so much. For me it's the maps, keys, and flashlights, and their addons. I basically never use them. So they're useless to me.

I just want to be able to sell back the stuff from a blood web that I don't want.

I would much rather be able to have the option to use the perks with her power than not, I don't care if most people would never use it like how i would, but now i don't even have the choice to use sloppy butcher or make your choice like i used to. I can't ambush the make your choice, and sometimes I won't even use sloppy at all in a chase because I like to use ambush when I can. Lastly no one was asking for the pig to be nerfed. Most people I play vs are happy to see a pig and comment that playing vs a pig is fun even when i would get a 4k . @Gay Myers (Luzi)
As a Pig main I hate to see her getting nerfed. I also love playing against her. She really is a fun killer to face.
-
I went through phases.
Claudette because I liked her back story. I also really like being altruistic. Not sure. She still might be my favorite.
Feng because I love Lithe. She's for my more aggressive moods.
Dwight because I love his perks. Prove Thy Self is so good for points. Bond gives great information. I also like his back story and general playstyle.
Meg for when I want to mess around.
Lastly I'm really enjoying Nancy. Her perks are great.
-
Yup. Had it multiple times tonight.

45 seconds without add-ons. 55 with add-ons.
Thanks. I tried looking it up. But apparently worded it wrong.
-
How long is Ghostface's exposed effect supposed to last? The couple of games I've played against him it seemed incredibly long. I'm assuming he has addons to make it last longer. But it seemed crazy long.
-
Her twitching has always bothered me. Not in an op kind of way. It kind of messes with my eyes.

It's a med kit. Relax man.

The devs would never falsely imply a character they DON'T OWN is coming to their game. That's how you can get sued. The logical explanation for why the devs are teasing Pennywise is... because he's going to be added soon to the game.
They haven't implied anything. They followed someone on Twitter. People speculated from there.

The ol slight of hand technique.
Give people a good reason to look at what you want them too so you can distract them from what's actually going on 😉.
The devs are well known for trolling the userbase and laying crumbs which lead to false hope.
That's actually what I was wondering. If they aren't doing that to make people assume it's Pennywise. Thus throwing them off the scent of the real plan.

I think they said it was Haddonfield but I'm only 80% sure the Devs confirmed that.
I hope Lerys eventually gets some more variations/reworks just because I find it funny how people still complain how it's confusing even though it's been out years😄.
It's like the suburbs. Everything looks the same. Kidding aside I actually enjoy that map.
-
I haven't tried it. I do remember Panda was having a nightmare of a time getting it to activate. Nancy's perk seems better. Far easier to activate.
-
I think his point is about the frustration from the lost momentum.
-
Thanks for the input guys (and gals if appropriate). I have seen (it I guess, not sure if a gender applies to this killer) in a few videos and it looked like a really fun killer.
-
If you want to run Noed, it's fine.
Since people are suggesting a rework. Maybe make it hook based instead. Remove the Hex part. Make it where Noed only activates if you have x number of hooks before the gates are powered.

In that case i'm sorry i misunderstood.
I read it as "bhvr never fixes things 3 years and still gen issues"
Np.

The quality of life for killers has improved significantly in those 3 years too.
Gens were much faster as well.
In old DbD you could have 4 gens done in 15 seconds by going to a gen and tapping them with 4 bnps.
You could get looped forever every vault was a fast vault, animations across the board for killers was slower, survivor perks were better like 20 second sprint burst with running not stopping the timer...
Double pallets, pallet vacuuming, old ds, perk heals faster than than a killers blade wipe animation.
3 years? Yeah 3 years of major improvement in every way for Killers and gens.
I'm aware. I was just correcting the OP's claim that it's been 4 years.
-
3 years. It's been 3 years.

Then explain all the fan films that is coming with the name "Friday The 13th"
Also... "There is nothing off the table" NOTHING, if they cant get Jason at all, they woundnt lie and say that
It will not be Jason. The rights are in dispute. Until that's settled there'll be no new things for that franchise.
Fan films are privately made and not for profit. They're allowed to draw on source material so long as you aren't making money.
-
It's a numbers game. You'll see more survivors, so you'll see more toxic survivors than killers.
-
Alert, Bond, and Empathy. Also Botany.
-
No hackers. No people dodging after reading your steam profile. That's about it for pros. Cons are the poorer performance.
-
I think the timer should be a bit longer if there is only one survivor left during egc. It would make stealth tactics more viable.
-
7 hooks. All 4 survivors hooked to activate. Gives you a green mori. Remove yellow and green mori's from the blood webs. Keep Ebony ones as an offering. This would require a bit of work for the kill while freeing up blood web space.

The only problem with this is that killers with top tier addons would consistently get 4ks. Think Prayer Beads or Insta-hatchets. Hard to play around Ultra rare addons when all but medkit addons on survivor are basically trash...
@Visionmaker said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/566105#Comment_566105
That wouldn't work since the rarer add-ons make it easier to get more kills in themselves. Against any team that isn't complete potato, your rarest add-ons would be virtually permanent.
Which is why I suggested pips could be used instead. It would need testing. You could be correct and it would prove to be a bad thing.
-
Killer is already fairly easy to get decent blood points. In most games I average 20k. Add on bbq and I'm up to 40. I'd have to play extremely well to equal that as a survivor. Also added bp is good for everyone. Lessened grind, quicker lobbies, and more enjoyment overall.
To the OP's original point, I do feel killers are a bit over taxed to get good addons. My suggestion is to make it so a killer can keep addons based on performance. Either through pips or kills. 1 pip you keep your cheaper of the two addons. Two pips you keep both. With the kill version a 3k you keep the cheaper addon. With a 4k you keep both.
-
Which is why I have messages turned off. Unfortunately for every decent person you'll play with/against there's always at least one who will be an ass for no reason.
-
I rarely used it, so not a big loss for me.
-
I was only starting to play during the Summer Bbq event, so I could be wrong, but wasn't that fairly successful? I thought if you burned an invitation you got rewarded for completing the margarita gens and putting survivors on the grill hooks. I could swear things seemed pretty relaxed during that event.
-
I forgot those existed. At first I thought the op was asking to trade Master Splinter for Ghostface.
-
Agreed. When you are trying to maximize your effectiveness vague terms that change from item to item and addon to addon are useless.

You are correct, with both of your points. My tone did come off as condescending, I apologize and shall change it. And looping does take much experience, just like everything else in the game.
But that’s not the question/topic: I’m just genuinely confused on why people get so triggered about looping? It really seems to me you can simply trick them and score an easy kill as they vault into your arms. Without a teleporting killer.
It's not the looping that sets them off (though it is sometimes the focus). It's usually more about bad map design really. When you get into a loop, a good survivor will typically not fall for simple tricks. Then if they know how to maximize the loop they can waste alot of time. This leaves you the option to chase or leave. Both can be painful as they are wasted time.
-
Because alot of killers hate OoO. You should hear Hybrid Panda. He despises it.
-
I just want him to shut up. Everytime he talks in a lobby it startles the crap out of me.
