  • A killer is already on the clock without having to wait on a cooldown timer. 3 seconds is 3 seconds you aren't doing anything

  • Thats kinda my point survivors hate playing against spirit but they will be against more spirits now more then ever.

  • Now you will be dealing with more spirits congrats for that

  • Devs suck at their own game....

  • As survivor just use sprint burst that will hard counter her now

  • @VexTheHex said:

Spirit was already more popular. Pervs and weebs like her body for one. And she is easier to play than Billy, Nurse, or Hag. Lastly, she has a almost uncounterable add on that is only beat by a single perk that a Survivor has to equip before even knowing what they are facing.

Thats my point Spirit will become much more common with these changes and survivors hate playing against her. So good job bhvr :D

  • Nah man the 3 second cooldown will ruin nurse as its in between blinks just use sprint burst and she is screwed :D

  • Freddy changes are good but why nerf pig?

  • If you say so....not from what i've seen...

  • No its not object is being abused right now its not a issue if they can loop

The thing with this topic is that both the company and individuals are at fault to some degree. People can argue how much, but it's pretty irrelevant.

Some people have the means to take advantage of other people in legal ways.

Some people willingly and unwillingly let themselves be taken advantage of.

The topic here is how far will BHVR go to take advantage of their playerbase and how many people will allow them to do so and willingly support their decisions.

Bethesda took the monetization route as well... time will tell what BHVR becomes.

Many players may not be playing their games by the time their fate becomes apparent though.

I don't think DBD is the type of game even worthy of a battle pass given how the game is built. It just seems really off to me that they would try a battle pass but they are gonna milk the game dry anyway. I think they are just gonna end up locking more stuff behind a paywall

When you see predatory I see optional.

You are putting the sole blame onto the companies and nothing onto the consumer for making bad monetary decisions.

That's the same as saying anything limited edition is predatory no matter what company sells it be it a special edition game or an item of clothing as someone will always feel left out. They can chose not to spend it but when the do spend more than they can afford for something it's not their fault?

I wish I could have done that with many things I've bought in life. Sorry I felt forced to buy that last drink at the bar each time as I would have missed out before you closed.

I really dislike this modern culture where no one has to take any responsibility for their own actions as someone puts a label on it and passes the blame onto someone else.

Why do you think games like Fortnite make billions every year? they prey on people who are loose with money or kids who don't know any better. I don't see how Bhvr is any better $10 a cosmetic add's up really quickly although I believe the cosmetic/graphic designers are really good one of the few departments who do their jobs right.

DBD sadly can sell out all they want because they have no competition since this genre of game is low in demand :/

Lets hope a good title comes out soon then I'm waiting for Hide or Die myself because its gothic and moody.

  • Well thats sad talk about killing creativity

  • Survivors usually try to put two per a gen at least at least from what i've seen they wanna get done as fast as they can.

"The gameplay has been the same for upwards of 3 years with little to no change except EGC."

Some very fundamental things have changed. If we went back to some of the 2016 stuff, you guys would freak out! :D

Totems (and therefore Hex Perks) did not exist until the Hag shipped. Hook sabotage used to be permanent (man I can't even imagine what that must have been like).

There are other fundamentals that have changed. The EGC is certainly more obvious a change as it's really in your face, but many less obvious things have changed that greatly impacted the general play of the game.

    :)

No DBD hasn't changed all that much at base with the objective being the same and refusing to evolve the objective beyond do gens....and do gens fast is the meta right now. Plus a lot of bugs recently and perks that are kinda op....didn't Cote say gen times are fine on a few occasions?

  • Honestly they could make more money if cosmetics equaled $6 or $7 I would find that price reasonable. But $10 for just about every cosmetic? that is highway robbery

  • As a killer its hard to do that when they have either perks or insane add on's that make gens go insanely fast. Ruin barely matters even when you have it and Discordance has shown survivors put two per a gen at least to get them done far faster without toolboxes or perks like leader. Killer can't do anything much less pip if the clock is against them already and devs refuse to change that for some reason.

  • Problems for killers right now ranking and pipping seem to be a mess from what i've seen I rarely get ruthless killer anymore. Plus it seem's like the pipping points are messed up and the objective is outdated at this point or its way too easy I think its both outdated and boring. DBD needs a rework to be honest of some kind because this is 2019 we should expect more from games.

  • @KaoMinerva said:

How about we address the fact that EVERY KILLER IN THE GAME has been nerfed at one point. That includes their powers & perks.

The dark times were real for killers. Where is the dark times for suhvivahs?

Devs would nerf a apple if they thought it wasn't "fun" in game :D

  • You have no idea how much I want new game modes or objectives :( but BHVR refuses to evolve with the times it seems like and is still stuck with a crazy easy, boring M1 objective. Didn't Cote say Gen times where fine once or they weren't gonna mess with them because some BS reason?

  • xD I'm just annoyed that the devs haven't had the guts to evolve the objective beyond do gens...run around throw wood on killer...do gen....run loop....throw wood...the killers greatest threat is wood....

  • And how are you supposed to do that? ruin is a joke and don't even talk to me about applying pressure the devs game them enough perks that pressure means little. But again DBD is a primitive game with a ok skin over it

  • Ahh that explains all my brutal killer ratings despite getting downs and hooks

  • I think it says a lot that DBD's whole objective is kinda over way too fast and is outdated at this point. Its 2019 the devs should have more to do that means winning besides doing gens..........also I hate ruin because it doesn't mean anything at higher ranks where people 2 person gens all the time. Legion's perk Discordance has shown survivors rush mainly by putting two survivors per gen if they can and if you are a 110 killer like huntress by the time you get there its almost done even with ruin.

P.S. Spirit isn't hurt by it so much because she has mobility

  • I don't wanna play like 1,700 hours for a cosmetic.....

  • New huntress cosmetic is 21K shards it wouldn't be so bad if the shard gain was higher

  • @Andreyu44 said:

Increase the cost to buy a character with shards but decrease the cost to buy cosmetics (with shards AND auric cells,10$ for a skin is too much).

    Ez fix.

$10 is highway robbery to be honest I bought a game for $10 during the spring sale on steam

  • I think the shard grind is a little absurd with how expensive some of the cosmetics are

  • As far as 115 it would help me get around the map quicker.

  • Spirit/Billy are grouped together a lot as far as power goes.

  • Like I do like playing Spirit but again no counter play and prayer beads spirit might be one of the most disgusting builds in the game. Even good survivors fall to that but again a good spirit will dominate like nurse really.

  • Unfortunately the devs have doubled down on the meta killers as of late which is a shame. I like playing Ghost face but again not viable at all at higher ranks

  • If you lost a game do to harder skill checks I don't know what to say lol

  • @ASpazNamedSteve said:

Oh come on, not Spine Chill. This is an Object of Obsession problem only.

Completely agree with @brokedownpalace though, really do not think this perk should work on stealth killers whilst they're in their stealth mode. It's seriously really lame for them to have a counter THIS hard.

That is my issue with Object I love playing stealth killers like Ghost face but he gets hard countered by it :(

  • OoO is certainly being run more but I do see the utility of the perk

  • I regret including spin chill but object is more my issue with regards to the stealth killers

  • @artist said:

imagine having over 100 perks u could make changes to and choosing to nerf spine chill.

Object is more my issue recently but maybe its because object is being run more

    You didn't answer the question

Spine chill is most deffinately not broken in any way. its an early alert that doesn't do much most of the time, but can tip you off to someone being near.

object of obsession isn't broken in any form and considering its a high skill tier perk, requiring high awareness and requiring facing away from where the killer may be to stop from giving away your own location i feel it has its fair trade offs

maybe actually play survivor. i play both heavily. neither of those two perks needs any form of changes. your rant is poor, and yes those maps need reworks (though lerys is actually pretty balanced imo, though i know many disagree.) if anything the only adjustment object and spinechill need is to not reveal ghostface when he's in stealth, maybe the same with pig and wraith.

My rant is poor because I don't want killers cucked by a perk? lol whatever

  • @brokedownpalace said:

They don't need a rework just a change. Make it so they don't work against cloaked Wraith, crouched Pig, Freddy when awake and Ghostface in Night Shroud.

There's absolutely no reason for them not to work against Huntress.

I agree the perks need a change so stealth killers can kill

  • @martin27 said:

Have you ever tried playing a survivor?

    Survivor is boring and easy its just sit,do gen,run loop,do gen,run loop,do gen,use adrenaline when hit,run some more,do gen,run out gate....

  • Have you seen his Brush add on the new one? its far from trash

  • Why would a killer be dependent on a ultra rare add on? make the pallets add on common or like Doc's green. Ultra rare is really absurd as far as dependency

  • Ghost face should be like tier 1 Myers immune too detection perks it would really help him. I mean he is pretty good anyway but immunity to those perks would really help him.

  • Using a perk to try and fix a gameplay mechanic is both dumb and lazy at the same time.

  • You know they won't address their game on a fundamental level changing objective would be mean changing the game significantly. Which they are too cheap for so lol

  • Well this is a what the ######### topic if there ever was one.

  • This is the issue with a game having a singular goal and only that goal.

But a 2 die 2 escape is what the devs want for the game so to say the killer should be an oppressive force of nature goes against their vision.

The genre is just a 4 v 1 nothing states the 1 has to be an overpowering that just what some people beleive it should be.

The problem comes down to what players want versus what the game is and what the devs want, it's a game after all and the devs want it to be fun for all players.

Maybe what some of the players seem to want is not what is best for the actual game afterall. Other games have came out and tried the other way and where are they now? DBD is still going strong 3 years later so they are obviously doing something right which the vast majority like.

Well then they shouldn't call their game asymmetrical its loosely asymmetrical at this point. Weak killers only further this point with maybe 4 killers remotely viable besides maybe Hag

That's a problem with the emblem system then as 2 kill 2 escape is what the devs consider balanced.

The problem is you have to not do too well in any rank or you won't pip as killing quickly usually means a depip which is really silly.

The devs say that is balance but I think the fatality rate should be very high however the leveling and all wouldn't support that. This genre the killer should be a oppressive force of nature not a joke.
