  • 7. It's not that serious lol

  • The bots are more useful than some of the actual braindead survivors i've been getting in my matches. So i'd rather they stay to relieve queue times.

  • Aw i'm gonna miss the last of the bloodhunt. I was looking forward to getting some extra BP this weekend :(

  • I just want my BPs. Why take them away from my perks to rely on the daily incentives which don't work? The BP gains per match are abysmal if you don't bring offerings.

  • Could be an experienced killer trying blight for the first time too. The killer MMR, as far as i'm aware, is shared somewhat across all killers. Just a thought but the MMR could also be awfully broken lol

  • I'm more concerned about the quality of my solo queue teammates. All of my matches have been terrible because of the actions and decisions taken by my own team

I had a match against a Lich today that was tunneling/slugging/camping; all three Survs DC'd so I was left with all bots. I just evaded the Killer to make it to end game, except the Lich killed two of the bots and then dragged out the match for +30 minutes with the last bot.

Kept downing the bot, picking the bot up and letting the bot wiggle free to just constantly repeat the process. So the bot couldn't bleed out and the bot couldn't do gens. The Lich did this for +30 minutes until I just finally went afk and then even when I came back, the Lich had us both slugged and bleeding out.

The game is atrocious right now and just incentivizes awful toxic gameplay on both sides.

Wait how does this even happen, something doesn't add up here? lol the killer was focussed on the bot for 30 mins you say? Did you not work on a gen while the bot was being chased? Did you not try for exit gates? Sounds like you extended the match for yourself here.

  • Why you throwing pallets if the killer is about to walk around it… Sounds like a skill issue. Should read the killer behaviour better.

  • So yall complain about gens being boring but when killers want to find you quickly to start a chase (assuming that chasing is more fun than gens) then you still complain? Lets be a bit more consistent in our complaints here pls. Also they're wasting time kicking a gen. Surely that's really good for the other survivors that aren't hovering around the kicked gen? People will complain about literally anything now.

NEVER did I think that "nowhere to hide" would be in the little survivor book of complaints.

  • Is it not a "challenge" for a reason though? lol

  • Quick!! The recent hex buff was nerfed. Lets complain about hook numbers next.

Instead of 10% it used to just say slightly/moderately/tremendously...and some killers tremendously would be the same % as another killers moderately. I do not miss that!

omg I blocked that out. I do NOT thank you for reminding me 😂

For real though we need better in-game numbers for basic mechanics.

  • The lack of in-game information for killers is awful. I play some killers over and over again and some of the basekit numbers/ power intricacies are still completely lost on me and the information is no where to be found. That seriously needs improved. Only then will some of the complexity complaints drop off. Example: addons which say "10% cooldown for…." ok but what's that 10% of? lol

  • I'm actually having the opposite experience to OP - My survivors games are always largely fine but playing as killer is mostly stressful AF. I'd say i've always been at a 80-20 split in favour of survivor but have been leaning more into the killer role recently for the extra BPs. I feel like the overall quality of my matches has went down since the introduction of MMR though.

  • I doubt they'll go back to them for another while tbh. They should literally just improve Viktors tracking abilities and make him latch on to both injured AND downed survivors to prevent slug spamming. That would get rid of the worst of the slugging issue. I always hate going against this killer

  • I only slug when survivors swarm around me looking for a flashlight save. I only camp/proxy-camp when gens are going at a ridiculous pace and want to secure at least 1 kill. I only tunnel when a newly unhooked survivor throws themselves at me to try and weaponise their OTR/DS/UB. What do yall expect when you body block killers from going for the unhooker or a potential person attempting to save lol. Theres also really no incentive for hooking either. Survivors get more out of hooks than the killer. But then survivors feel the need to do these things because of tunnelling and camping etc.

It's a vicious cycle of survivor do this → killer do that → survivor do this → killer do that. It's so awful

let’s put it like this then, ping should be less than 100 for all players. Not 1k cap I think it’s set at. How’s that? And no the game isn’t fun for survivors when you get hit from 10 miles away or the killer randomly swinging to get those hits knowing their ping is bad.

Agreed! See how easy that was coming to a solution without dragging one set of players through the mud :)

  • While I do agree, my killer games also have survivors benefiting from high ping. So this is a general ping issue not "killers exploit ping" issue so lets not have another one of those threads of us vs them please.

  • Better solo queue teammates? the current calibre is wild

  • @Ivantxugp_ said:

Nah, the way things work in this game is survivors can't get any benefit from high ping (don't ask me why bcs i don't know the tech behind) but it is something that the hitboxes from survivor register properly and the attacks from killer don't or something like that.

well no theres validation on both sides so a high ping across the board from dodgy servers will not benefit anyone in that case. If a single person had bad ping then it's an issue on their end and not a server issue so can't blame that

  • If the servers have issues and cause high ping then surely all players will be affected no? You listed only killer things there. Survivors can benefit from the high ping issue too.

  • I'd use it more if my soloq teammates would actually do gens while i'm in chase. Would really help

  • I acc really enjoy playing as her and like her as is tbh (not considering the buggy bits). She is very versatile for me. I can have my map presence with "search" and have my chase power with the dog. Tried a few different builds that are my fave and i'm having a blast. Would agree with ~A tier based on the matches I've had. I do feel like some things will get tuned down a bit though which i'm ok with but additional nerfs would ruin her.

  • That's a lot of clicking…

I am just going back to regular queues I think, there is no incentive to play the event since I am not getting any extra BP anyway. Plus the event queue seems to have much higher ping than regular queues and I don't get sandbagged by snowmen in regular matches

Oh my god yes that constant snowman sandbagging is so annoying.

  • I reported this a few days ago and for some reason my bug was "declined"

  • Did this not happen a few patches ago…? Or was there another nerf??

  • Not really tho is it? "There’s always a comment like this on every single post whenever a survivor main has input on the survivor experience,", "the argument KiLLeRs cAnT hAvE aNyThInG is silly" implies you thought I wasn't a survivor main. You can try and argue against it but literally that's what it is. I gave my opinion as a survivor main and you still moaned. Again, dry up.

  • "Tech" is a real funny word for "exploit"

There’s always a comment like this on every single post whenever a survivor main has input on the survivor experience, it’s tired really. I play both but mostly survivor, and I’m all in favor for the game leaning as killer sided since it is an ASYMMETRICAL horror game and it’s 1v4. Lets not ignore the elephant in the room, coldwind seldom has any safe pallets, the argument KiLLeRs cAnT hAvE aNyThInG is silly when they quite literally are on the winning side just as the statistics show they are. Dev’s want the ratio to be 60/40 for it to be balanced right? I have no issue with that.

I'm a survivor main lol Dry up

  • God forbid something is killer sided lol. Survivors have countless other maps with incredibly safe pallets. Just wait to enjoy one of those

  • I played a few matches last night and there were no incentives on either side - never seen that before.

  • Are we complaining about a hex now? Great lol. With Thrill + a hex that's literally half of a killer loadout. What more do you lot want - literally just run a totem perk if you're so concerned. Or ignore them. Not sure what we want killers to do now? Full gen slowdown is apparently a no no, now hexes are a big no no. Should they go perkless?

  • Same issue happening to me on PS5

  • @CLHL said:

Awful in all aspects. Given how little she was promoted, they must have been aware that the result was not very good. And please, stop adding color indicators that overlap the existing ones, the orange gens are more annoying than helpful...

This really confused me even after reading the update notes. Like I was running discordance jsut to give me a bit more oomph with the dog search thing and the orange gens confused me with the yellow gens, which apparently means they're completed? So it was a complete confusing mess for me to see the orange gens

  • I tried to play her a few times and it feels really meh lol. I send my dog out and it takes forever to come back so i've got no power. Or i send the dog to catch a survivor and it misses by a few pixels. Feels bad. So think I'll just to back to my fun killers

Exactly! I'm not understanding why people are saying this is survivor sided. Is it because you can't proxy camp or tunnel? I have been tunneled a handful of times but this matches are over quickly. Thing is of the killers work together the match is quicker. I found the most popular way for killers to play is together around the board so I stay behind them. There are some questionable things and having two killers that can super speed the board isn't fun but overall this is more fun that 1v4. I think the killers that complain are the tunnelers and proxy campers.

It's survivor sided because of the immense number of pallets, lightning fast gens, incredibly fast heals etc. That's why lol

  • Why is everything blue? The halloween event was all blue (strange considering everyone associates halloween with oranges, reds, blacks etc etc). The deep rift stuff being always blue-er has always confused me. I'd love a colour rotation for deep rifts

  • Luckily I haven't had an afk killer in 2v8 yet! But ngl the incentive needs to be at least 400% for survivors to funnel more people into the modifier. It's not really worth it for me unless the incentive is there tbh. As it stands, as soon as I finish the tome challenges, i'm going back to 1v4 which I know wont help those killer queue times but it's a better experience for me. So yeah the incentives for survivor need to be better.

And why the hell is pipping off lol. I want to pip after my matches to feel some type of "progression" - I don't get that with 2v8.

  • Cant tell if this is satire or not lol. This is the easiest mode for survivors there has ever been. The gens go ridiculously fast, heals are basically instant, there are an absolutely disgraceful amount of pallets (which they can rebuild) not to mention the countless additional buffs from the 2v8 survivor kit.

  • No thanks, I don't want people to identify "favourable" maps and constantly bring me there. That's boring. And it's been rightly pointed out how that would work for a 4v1 game. If all maps were perfectly balanced then yes 100% I might be interested. But they aren't and never will be, so a pre-match map selection likely wouldn't work.

  • We stan a Python king/queen/monarch. Lovely post OP. I see a lot of people still aren't happy (it is the DBD community after all lol). But thank you for the effort and explanations. They are very much appreciated.

  • For me, I play all aspects of the event as survivor. However, when I swap over to play some killer I select the event queue purely based on the better queue times.

  • I believe it's just the endurance effect that gets cancelled. The other effects stay.

  • It's killer compensation for the sheer number of pallets on maps nowadays lol

  • Same issues for me on PS5 too

  • Same thing happening for me on PS5 too - I can barely load up the game atm it's so so slow after the patch

  • When i seen the roadmap announcement with Freddy i ran to the forums to see what @GeneralV had to say. I'm absolutely delighted that Freddy is finally getting some love. First killer I ever played when I truly got into DBD 😭

  • omg people will complain about anything now. In my little book of complaints i did NOT see wglf being complained about LOL

  • Interesting idea, and prob a bad one BUT what if hexes started at full strength, then cleansing ~3 totems reduces the strength of the effect. Then when the 3rd is cleansed the hex is gone? But the ~3 relevant hex totems are lit up at the start of the match.

I've no idea if that's basically the same as the old ruin undying days (I wasn't around then and don't know much about it lol). But would certainly need to reduce the overall hex strength if that idea were the case.

Or have some type of unreasonably difficult reactivation condition. Something hard to do but would be worthwhile for the killer.
