I usually have fun because I decided to get better at the game and I've played this game long enough to see how bad it actually can be. This is a PVP game, you aren't gonna win every match and the opposite side isn't gonna let you just win lol. The game has also been out for a long time, people aren't always going to be potatoes. The meta is defined, people know what is the strongest thing to use on each side is, and there aren't many people not using the best stuff. If you as a killer (or survivor) use bad or meme builds or play badly, don't act all woe is me about it. If you aren't gonna try to win, then dont act surprised when the enemy team trying their hardest to win - win.

This just applies to almost every pvp game. If you aren't having fun, take a break. It is ok, no one is forcing you to play a game you aren't having fun in. Please stop acting like you are tortured and forced to play the game against your will lol.

I think it's probably the fact that this is one of the only notable games in the genre, although there is prop hunt and VHS is coming out soon. However, I myself have fun with the game, despite me playing killer and survivor 70-30. There'll be annoying moments that make me wanna explode but I just move on to the next game, and what do you know, the next game after that is completely more fun.

Baiting a deadhard, or outwaiting a deadhard is playing around it.

There is not one singular perk in this game that you can't play around lmao

Ever think that you're 'tired' of 'repeating' yourself is because maybe.. you are wrong?

That's one way to show us that you either have never played killer or you go against people who don't use DH properly.

  • just wait ig, nothing more we can do.

  • Yeah, it's unnecessary. The devs should make it so that the bottles don't give that effect on the screen. He should also be given nurse movement speed so that looping him will be fair for both sides. Oh yeah and clown players should receive less bloodpoints, because you should FEEL BAD for playing this busted annoying character. Go play a fair fun killer like hillbilly, so I can predrop 2000 pallets and camp windows. Fair and fun for both sides.

  • don't worry, you're not alone in this. Let's sit next to the campfire as we desperately wait for bhvr to give us our shards.

  • Can they just do a full rework of artist's power? It's extremely boring to play as, I have more fun playing pyramid head and nemesis than playing bird lady, even though all three are anti loop. I expected her to have a canvas or something to paint her different powers, and when her power was shown, it honestly looked extremely boring and frustrating to use, I mean IT IS. Hell, it's not even fun going against her either, you end up holding W, even though with other anti loop like nemesis and PH, you have some fun counterplay, like greeding pallets, or juking PH's judgement. The counter play to artist is literally just to hold W. How fun.

No. Killer mains not understandIng what perks are viable does not make it bad. It is obscenely powerful, there are other reasons it is not run. Some people convince themselves it is for baby killers. Some can't handle a survivor main baby raging end game about their perks. Others prefer gen defense to emulate the days of pre mmr. Some are trying to prevent their mmr from going up.

NOED is VERY strong, not necessarily for the instant down. The speed is better. End game pressure to make them do totems is better. The instadown is the cherry on top, really.

Then I'm curious as to why people go absolute ape rage mode when they see Noed in endgame chat, when you won't see as many people in end game chat complaining about Dead Hard. I do think Noed can be strong, but DH is most definitely more powerful. It's ability may seem small, but it comes in the most clutch moments, extending chases for way longer than they should've been, without a counter to it (assuming you're using it for distance).

  • I would love if the game promoted spreading out hooks by rewarding the killer by, I don't know, not throwing the game while doing so? We recently got the new change with DMS and people pairing it with Pain Resonance, and imo it's such a nice change. It incentivizes spreading out hooks, while rewarding you by giving you more time to do more chases. It's such an amazing change, and it's a shame people want DMS nerfed. It honestly gave much more fun gameplay, compared to without it and killers usually resorting to camping and tunneling to create pressure.

It's not that powerful if you think about it, since it blocks gens from regressing, but it's so satisfying to be rewarded for spreading out hooks. It's why I love perks like BBQ and No Way Out, and to a certain extent, Grim Embrace, although the reward you get from Grim isn't that good. The thing is we should start moving on from perks and start making something to reward the killer by spreading out hooks and not camping in the base game. No, I don't mean bloodpoints, I mean something that would give killers an advantage to make them go out of their way not to tunnel and to spread hooks. That's where the difficult part is, and I'm wondering what a good idea would be.

  • I find it so funny that people compare dead hard so much to noed, yet you don't see the latter as often as the former. It's almost like noed isnt that OP busted perk that everyone makes it out to be...?? Otherwise you would see it on almost every killer build.

I don't even check profiles in the lobby - I click to search for a match and then I tab out to Discord or browser without even paying much attention.

Private profiles etc do not bother me, I know many people who have their profiles on private to non friends (mine is partly private also), people do that for all sorts of reasons and not all of those are connected with DbD. I concentrate on my own game and don't really think about the players I'm playing against in a negative manner.

Was about to make a similar comment. I usually queue up then watch a part of a youtube video for a bit. Sometimes it's a mistake as I fail to realize im going against a 4 man SWF, all dressed up in bright colorful outfits on Nea or Feng.

  • even if this post is bait, why would you waste your time making this? do you like get off to this crap?

Any fake works against any skilled killers, it's mind game. No one will tell me that he has never been fooled by a fake window, a fake Dead Hard or anything else. I myself am sometimes very surprised, despite my great game sense as a Killer. A skilled Survivor will know how to mind game you at least once, you are human, not a bot. The fake Dead Hard almost all good killers get fooled.

If I do fall for a fake window, it's like my brain registered that it's an obvious fake, I actually go in my head and say "this is an obvious fake" but for some reason like it's instinctual or something, I lunge. It's so weird, it's like my body and brain are out of sync sometimes lol.

swf is just queing with someone else, i still think the majority dont use comms

If you add a person, and the person is someone you know, it's definitely going to be coms on. If they're online friends, nobody has a reason not to use coms, there's discord, one of the most popular platforms, available to them. It's so easy to just hop into a voice call with your friends. I don't see why a MAJORITY of people would just decide not to do that, because for whatever reason.

Cause people shouldnt be punished for playing with friends/family, and the only thing people hate about swf is comms rights? but how do you know if a swf is using comms , the majority of swf dont use coms.

What in the world are these levels of copium, I'd say a large LARGE majority of SWFs use coms, unless it's a twitch streamer playing SWFing with their chat.

You two want know something funny. You could have avoided this post. And gone to someone else's who talking about nerfs or buffs.

The title made it seem like you had some controversial take on the idea of FNAF being in the game, which is why I was interested, since most posts I do see and gloss over are the same copy pasted "here's why springtrap would be good in DBD", and never posts explaining why they DON'T want it in the game.

But I guess that's my fault, I guess I have to play the guessing game because you decided to make the title this for god knows what reason.

  • Uh, I'm not sure what you want. Welcome to killer, I guess? Just put up with it, like players have for so many years.

  • @Pulsar said:

Oh, we're starting FNAF spam again?

I literally escaped reddit to avoid this, IS EVERY PLACE INFESTED WITH THESE POSTS???

  • I'll just say it here, since I don't wanna make a post about it.

On second floors, add one or two hooks that come from the ceiling. They can't be sabo'd, since they come from the roof, and they invalidate those "unhookable spots" with boil over.

  • I don't think a lot of people think this way, although there's the occasional oddball. It is a common occurrence though. I usually check out a TTV to look back at how I played. If they're nice/aren't rude, I'll give them a follow. If they're calling me names, saying some mean crap, I obviously won't follow and just go on to the next game.

Although the fact that I haven't followed many of them tends to say a lot. Of course I won't quickly assume just because you have it in your name.

  • My thoughts is that clown is absolutely busted, as I've NEVER survived a game against him. I suggest that we remove all of his addons and delete his power, and give him nurse movement speed.

  • @Nicholas said:

They already it do anyway. Idk why people are pretending slugging is a new thing due to BO.

There's a difference between slugging and slugging to bleed out. When I play Oni, I'll slug. But there's a difference between me downing 3 survivors and then hooking them one by one, and slugging 3 survivors on RPD library, and instead of hooking them (because I can't), they're going to bleed out on the ground.

Whether I'm on my 'good' killers or my 'bad' killers, my queues are now completely instant. Day or night.

Same here, at day time or at night, the queue times are completely instant, at least here in NA.

Devs: Nerf it to the ground!

You're right, I should just dumb down things in order to make it look good for my narrative. Good idea!

  • @gendoss said:

Yeah the community is really overreacting about this one.

    A. It tells you they have it when you pick them up

    B. Just walk down the stairs, it's really not a big deal

    C. I know there's an infinite but they could put a hook up there, it's not the fault of the perk

It's not a bad perk don't get me wrong but if you want any value out of it you have to make entire builds or play styles around making it work and that's taking up so many of survivors resources just for a chance to wiggle off. Not worth it at all.

    A. You slug them, they run unbreakable/boon/no mither.

    B. You waste even more time walking down the stairs, which makes the wiggle bar go even more than if you just dropped down.

    C. Agreed.

Don't nerf the perk though, just buff hook spawns. Make like 3 hooks on coal tower's second floor, 3 hooks on the second floor of the library, 3 hooks on the 2nd floor of Crotus Prenn Asylum, etc. Don't only put 1 hook on the second floors, because then they'll just be easily sabo'd, and the same stuff will happen as it is now.

I strongly disagree you’re point about COH. And it was also just nerfed.

Except it did objectively gut an entire playstyle, the hit-and-run playstyle. I've ran sloppy butcher and nurse's calling on wraith and ghostface, but now i've completely ditched that playstyle due to the infinite fast heals they can do with that one perk. It nerfed healing times by increasing the time to heal by like 4 or 2 seconds. I'd say that's a pretty pathetic nerf.

End of the day, just don't engage with "survivor rulebook" stuff at all. There's no point and it only dampens your experience. Play how you want. When all is said and done, there are 4 of them and 1 of you in EGC, so even if you're right, you're outnumbered. Just don't engage and go next.

And I obviously don't follow their rulebook, but it's sad that has to come guaranteed with crap talking me because I wanted to win as much as they did.

Im not even going to mention what went on durring the game because the moment that I mention the perk that was used this thread is getting closed. You already know. Not that we care what some survivor thinks about the state of the game when he messaged me unwarranted or even the words i type right now. The game has never been about winning or losing, it's about killer humiliation. We are always quick to say "you did this", you should have done this. We've gotten to a point where it is socially exeptable to deny the killer auditory information from spamming lockers and having a safe spot on the map like the base in tag and somehow this is my fault. And that's not the entire list that is just from this update alone. It will always be the killers fault becuase we have to humiliate them.

It's always been like this, except now it's changed only a bit. When dead by daylight was in it's earlier stages, there were a ton of rules set into motion, since the community was small. The rules for killers were like, no m1ing as billy, because if you charge your chainsaw only, then we can just vault windows or drop pallets and instantly counter you! If you got 2 people in a basement, then you have to leave otherwise you're a POS that deserves to die, even though it's the correct play. Same for tunneling in certain situations, proxy camping, anything that is deemed "unfun".

And what were the rules for survivors? Not much really. Survivors still used broken addons such as BNPS, to instantly do gens. Survivors still looped around strong structures that were insanely hard for killers to go against. There were even infinites back then due to always being able to fast vault and not having windows blocking. They would constantly abuse that, but who cares because there's no rules for survivors, they can do whatever they want. There was no "Golden Age" back then, the "Golden Age" was just survivors abusing broken crap and getting away with it, when killers can't use their strong things, otherwise they're bullied by the community back then.

Name one rule example of the survivors limiting themselves in gameplay because it was "unfair" or "unfun" to the killer back then. Survivors can loop, drop as many god pallets, send you to god awful maps, loop around the strongest of structures and hold m1 on a gen like their life depends on it, which is completely fine. But why am I not allowed to do strong things unless I get constant amounts of hate? You see so many killers giving hatch to survivors, but do you ever see the same amount of survivors giving themselves to a hook? I feel like I'm one of the only 20 survivors in the entire game who does this. I'm allowed to play to win as survivor, but when I switch to killer, suddenly I'm a horrible person who needs to "get therapy". Now it's sort've better, there's more people telling you that tunneling and proxy camping when necessary is a viable strategy and you shouldn't be afraid to do it, but you still get so much hate for doing so.

There was never a golden age back then, it was just an age of crapping on killers, because they're just "suRviVors SurVivin". But sure, it was definitely a golden age for survivors.

My thoughts on the new boil over is I bled out almost 40 survivors tonight.

  • This isn't even comparable to the snowman event, THAT actually helped survivors so much. THIS is barely anything for killer, survivors waste like a couple of seconds doing an interaction once.

I get salt less than 1 in 50 games. Now if I were a new player I could say maybe I just got lucky... but being half way into devotion 2, with over 700 hours, there is no way I'm THAT lucky.

So the only thing I can figure is everyone else over exaggerates... that or I REALLY need to ######### play the lottery because my luck is god like.

It's different for everybody, I'm also above 700 hours, and I've gotten so much hate because I tunnel or camp when necessary (not for malicious intent). However, despite what most people have been saying, I haven't gone against a SINGLE hacker (although I have no way to tell if I went against subtle hackers).

  • Lazy gameplay? I'm pretty sure holding m1 on a generator and pressing E when in need for distance is about as "lazy" as that. All games are "lazy" if you dumb it down to that.

Good for you cause IMO that weapon is the worst out of the cosmetics.

And the events shows what the devs want especially with what happened for the last 2 weeks.

-######### up on their QnA by basically circling around what people know the dev's mindset is.

-advertised a licensed tome even though they nerfed pig again.

-advertised a new event which doesn't add anything new

-released a new set of cosmetics

IMO the whole set up showed that the devs are survivor biased and are seeing the game more for profit rather than passion.

I just want the trapper weapon skin because I cba to spend anything for skins on him that much.

  • Against new/below decent killers, it has worked. The only time it has worked against is when auto-aim decides to mess me up by making me go towards them but not actually hitting them. It's hard to describe, but if it's happened to you, you'll know what I'm talking about. These youtubers usually go against lower experienced killers, hence why they absolutely look like babies in those videos. In reality, they aren't going to show a ruin undying blight who won't fall for 360s or whatever.

Short answer: works on worse killers, experienced killers don't fall for it.

  • I'm just excited for that trapper weapon.

Dbd events have always kind've been underwhelming compared to other games. A good example is how For Honor did their event compared to Dead by Daylight when they had a collaboration together. For Honor had this whole event with a new mode and a new enemy that looked like trapped, when all we got is a charm. The anniversary events have always been "here's more bloodpoints to reduce the grind" without actually adding anything cool.

I've been playing Genshin Impact for a while and they have spectacular events with new items, weapons, storylines, etc. Of course they have the funding for it, it being a gacha game and all, but doesn't Behavior get a ton of funding from all the DLCs, the Skins, and the base game?

  • I find her to be the most boring killer to play as. I don't really mind going against her but I feel like it's a pain to play as her. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing an m1 killer, she just feels really slow and I barely get injure states or downs out of the birds, although they're very good for info. I like her perks though.
