To be honest it's pretty chill at the moment outside of funny swfs with eyrie of crows offerings. You can tunnel very easily even through ds 90% of the time (at least with chucky), slugs are only relevant to be carefull with in case of flashbangs, flashlights or palettestuns and even then it's okay most of the time. At least with chucky hit'n run is also very easy a lot of the time. You also don't have to get the toolbox, I use lethal most of the time and I just chase the nearest one I find in a good position because the first gen gets done anyways. You can miss m2 a relatively huge amount of the time but of course that depends on the genspeed.
whats ur mmr? I match twitch SWF every game

We're mildly curious as to the point of this randomness?
You can tunnel if you wish. You can play hit and run. You can slug. You don't have to catch the toolbox one, you can afford to miss an m2 (wouldn't miss many however), you only need to have basic care that the slug is not under a pallet or someone with a blind is nearby which takes all of a second (and thats less on gens and another victim for you), you do not need to be a computer as the survivors are human too and prone to errors, (we're assuming opponents here?) survivors do not benefit from every action, survivors can easily get themselves killed via gen rush as well (not even considering the fact that killers can potentially stop them or that killers have a mirror with multiple regression), survivors have 3 chances cause of how easily a killer can get a down, and both sides annoy everyone on these forums to get nerfs to both sides.
No, your are all wrong. You can't tunnel cuz babysitter, OTC and DS is too strong, you can't afford missing any M2 cuz any chase time should shorter than 1 min. BVHR never nurf surv but give them more and more OP perks.

I understand what the OP is saying. I also play solo queue on the Asia server, and I often see matches like this. Of course, not all matches are like this, and since I’ve never played on servers outside of Asia, I can’t speak to the solo queue experience on other servers. But yes, I do often see solo queue matches where gens get done very quickly, just like the OP describes. Chasing the first survivor for only 60 seconds can result in 3 gens being completed.
In Asia, players are more tolerant of tunneling and camping compared to other servers, but even with these tactics, killers find it difficult to win against skilled solo queue players. And it’s even tougher against SWF.
Of course, that’s something every player who has spent thousands of hours on this game has noticed. Since the patch that made hook stages 70 seconds, these issues have become even more pronounced. I’d love to see statistics for each server and MMR bracket.P.S.
I’m a player from Japan, and I’m glad to know that players from China and Korea feel the same way🥺Yes, that's what I'm saying… I find most US server players enjoy more in chasing and spend less time on gens, they don't realize how fast gen rush could be if they save time on hanging out. Also, experienced surv will take over teammate's gen on purpose.
-
In the Asian server, survs has a "formulation play style". They will take Sprint Bust, when they hear the heartbeat, they start running to pull the killer from the gen, then another team member will continue the gen when the killer leaves the gen. The chasing one doesn't do any loop, he just keeps running, drops pallets whichever he sees, and runs to the corner to map to lengthen the killer's hooking, which they called a "marathon". The whole chasing will cost the killer around 1min. Then, they will take hook-related perks, DS, OfftheRecord, BabySitter, and Reassurance to counter tunnel to keep all members alive.
With this playstyle, even killers get 1 hook every minute, the gens will still be finished around 6th hook, which killer can't get a kill without the tunnel. It's pretty easy for a soloQ to carry out.

To be fair, this is a rather extreme case. This map is already a pain against inexperienced survivors let alone against survivors that know what they are doing, which seems to be the case here. Also, on Asian servers they seem to have a very different play style to other servers. They play more stealthy, so that would explain why the total chase time was quite low (although 73 seconds for 2 downs on this map is quite impressive).
Without the video of the match, we cannot really say much more. This might just be a very inexperienced killer getting lucky. Or something else was going on. Either way, this is definitely not a normal game.
Are you serious? This map full of palates which is the one of the best map the survs.

Killers stand no chance to get even 1k playing against skilled survivors is just 😂
Do you not realise how ridiculous that statement is and how badly it reflects in your personal skill level? You can literally go and watch any of the numerous content creators that make videos for this game and watch them consistently beat skilled survivors and 4 man SWFs. You can even watch them doing it live on stream so how does a screenshot from a random game in Asia prove this theory of yours?
At this stage gauging by your other comments in similar related topics about survivors being OP it just sounds like you're angry at the game because of your own personal experience losing against SWFs & you want people to agree with you because you think the game is at fault.
The proof is here, in those videos killer get 4k just cause surv are not playing in the right way, in the video, the total chasing time is 73s, and game ends less than 5min, how can the killer slow gens down with only 2 hooks? How can the killer be faster with these pallets and accelerate perks?

@Huge_Bush said:
If every Killer starts slugging and not hooking, Survivors will start DCing as much as if not more than they do for Skerchant. This will get the Devs to gut slugging like they are about to gut Skerchant, which will basically take away Killer agency and dumb the game down even more. We don’t need that.
So please, to the Killers who read this, don’t slug unless you have to (they have boiled over), they misplay(keep going for hook saves in your face) or you see the last Survivor as you down the second to last teammate. It’s also acceptable if you’re Oni and are using your power. Don’t be a douche and bleed people out when you can hook them.

Won plenty of games with Singularity & Knight versus SWFs so I would consider them to be in the 75%. Never really got into Ghost face that much so can't really comment on his viability versus a decent SWF.
If you can only win against SWF playing Nurse and struggle with other killers then it's an issue with your personal skill level. It's absolutely worthless being good with Nurse because there's no skills you can carry over to other killers because her power is one of a kind and ignores all game mechanics that apply to other killers.
As I said before slap on a load of aura perks and start working on your macro gameplay. When to start chase, when to stop chase, when to slug, what pallets to leave, when to break pallets, mind games, right ways to cut off loops and a load of other minor decisions you make during the game. These are real transferable skills that will make you better on all killers you play and of course you need to be competent and practice on each killer, which only comes with time invested.
Look at all the well known content creators in this game. Most of them aren't even comp level players, but merely just good at the game. Do you see them struggling and never winning with most of the killers v SWF? No you dont because they played this game for many hours and invested a lot of time, just like many of the people on the forums. Map knowledge is also a huge part of the game & that really only comes with playing the same s**t over & over until you can basically visualise the whole map in your head without even thinking about it.
I main Nurse cause I have to, like you said you can't win SWF with Trapper, so do other killers, they all can be countered by SWF in a a certain way as long as this SWF is skillful enough, just watch matches.
-
@Lost_Boy said:
You can win against most SWFs with 75% of the killer roster if you put the effort in to learn them properly. The other 25% will be very difficult, but not impossible against most average SWF groups (which is what 80% of SWF teams are just average).
Different builds that don't follow the normal gen regression meta work well. Mix up your play style and don't just rely on gaining an advantage through gen regression perks. Use aura & status builds to apply pressure through constant chase & downs. Use things like body blocking, flashlights, sabotage to your advantage by leaving one slugged and take a second person down. Theres many ways to apply gen pressure that's indirect to actually using regression perks. It also helps you massively to improve your macro decision making and gameplay without the reliance of regression to carry you to higher MMR ratings.
Obviously I don't personally know my MMR or even if I'm playing at high levels, but I play a significant amount of SWFs, TTVs & 2-3 man stack TTVs all the time. I only really struggle when I return from a 2-3 months break, but after a few weeks when the muscle memory is dialled back in I can win versus most of the SWF I play using multiple killers with various builds.
Biggest thing imo is the macro plays. Stack aura perks and get good at that and it carries over to all killers. Obviously it's much easier on some killers to apply pressure, but it's not impossible to do it on most killers with a bit of practice.
I disagree, like I said, certain killers could be countered by SWF easily. If you play Ghost, SWF shares your position, if you play Knight, anyone could steal your flag to stop the guard, if you play Singularity, anyone could shock your spore when you chase someone. In a simple word, these killers are designed to by the toys of SWF.

DBD is my most played and favourite game, I think its the best Video Game EVER! i might not play anything for weeks. i need some dbd in my life other than it just being part of my life on a daily. i do tho never get the win lose mentality in DBD, i am always been on that the Survivors play for me even though i am very nice killer often and meme and all that, i win even when i lose or w/e. im a long time Fan/Player of dbd and yeah… dbd4life. dbd is my old persons Candy Crush. been a journey. no amount of words would come to an end to express what dbd means to me, i want to cry happy tears for my love of the DBD Universe, it grew so nice. all survivors are the same.

SWF can be a problem, yes, but it's not going to be a constant. You'll never have fun if you're worried about SWF every match. Play a killer you wanna play, put on addons/perks to help just in case (personally I run lightborn to avoid the current flashbang at wall thing) and just play your best. Maybe it sounds optimistic, but I'm not nearly as stressed playing like this.Enjoy ur tbag and ggez then

Huntress doesn't need any mobility. She has a ranged attack for crying out loud. You can hit people that are 10+ metres away from you and you can hit over many loops. Pallets have to be pre dropped against her and even then she can play around many of them with little trouble.
Even main tiles like jungle gyms, pallet gyms etc. aren't safe against her because one small mind game can result in a hit with a hatchet. The same goes for the shack, which most killers have trouble with.
Not all the maps allow long-range throw, and low mobility causes low seeking efficiency and gen defense, thats why she is even not worth an A tier, but B at most. When I match a Huntress I laugh out.
-
@Xernoton said:
Play Freddy. That's a real bad killer. Huntress is pretty strong. She's probably among the top 10.
Her chase power is amazing and she can even hit you cross map, if she's really good. That's more than most killers have going for them.
She lacks mobility so she's countered hard by genrush perks and most maps have tall obstacles and airwalls, all these makes her actually terrible.

Pain res doesn't require you to kick the gen post hook. You can make that argument with Pop, but not pain res.
And this is a pretty good example of why hooks should have been the metric for how a match goes over kills. The idea that getting a bunch of hooks, regardless of not killing, meaning you lose makes no sense. So I do agree with that, somewhat.Pain res is also nerfed hard that if it works on a far gen then it won't stop finishing repair. Most killers take it cuz there's not better choice. The metric of a match is only how many you killed cuz if you get 8 hooks but 0 kill surv will tbag and type "noob" on you,
-
@ChaosWam said:
It's not. You can still get value from hooks, especially with perks like Pop and Pain Res. As for being unable to tunnel, I see that as a good thing as long as it effects the worse of tunneling and not when trying to get someone out in late game.
Unless they start stacking even more buffs on survivors for getting hooked, you'll be fine getting hooks.No, as Pop and PainRes get nerfed hard, normal walking killers are not able to hook someone and then kick the gen fast, unless ur have transport ability, but even that hooking still wastes you 10+ sec which is half a gen totally, in the match to high-rank survs, hooking is actually wasting killer's time. If you can't tunnel, you hooks 6-7 times but not killed anyone, then you are just sending free wins. Why you people just cant accept something new and right?

I would say in terms of is difficulty it's on survivors side. You need to get 4 good/decent players and most players are bad.
But when we talk about how stressful it is, then it's on killers side for sure in my opinion.
There are killers where I am confident to win against 99% groups, if I would play to win every game, which I am not. With Blight I try to end the game on 0/1 gens left if survivors are not that useless.
There are definitely killers, where you are going to lose na matter what you do at some point. Legion is very good example of that. That's something that comes with the killer and you should expect it to happen, that's like people who expect to escape games regularly as soloQ.
Most survs are bad cuz they are spoiled by OP perks, imagine I'm taking Deliverance + Off the record to anti-tunnel and plunder killer's advance, the killer can never force the game into 3v1 therefore survs are always in the lead.
-
@Toystory3Monkey said:
I think you should stop worrying about that and focus on improving your general skill before expecting to win against much better opponents running meta. That'll get you way further than trying to play full meta and sucking all the fun from the game.
No matter what game you are playing, you have to play the most OP char to get more effect with the same effort. In DBD, a top SWF team is dominating, they can relax, gen rush, or bully as long as they want. In opposite, how many top killers can get 4k as long as they want? That's my point, killer and surv do not get the same effect with the same effort
-
@Hex_Ignored said:
Knockout is an insanely unhealthy perk ever since its release and I honestly don't understand why the devs aren't reworking it. It encourages some of the worst gameplay (slug until bleedout) and is very unfair against soloq

What you don't realize is thats a horror film for you.... But you also need to realize that you don't win until they die. Here's my example why.
I played battlefield 4 a lot back in the day but I had 1 experience that set a match apart from the rest. The other team was kicking our asses. We had 7 tickets left and they had 106. Somehow we took a flag. Then another. Then then we had them all. Oir tickets were at 5 and theirs trickled down. 90.....85....75....60..... Then they took another base and we went down to 4 and they were down to 50 but we took it back. 40....30......25.....15.... Then they took another. Theirs were at 10 and we went down to 3 but it was too late. We won the match at 3 tickets left. Should have been a done game. They won right? Wrong. Its not over till the last ticket.
So again. If a survivor is alive on the hook the match isn't over. There will always be clutch plays. Game isn't over till last player eacapea or dies. You win and complain? Good. I'm glad you uninstalled. You were a garbage person for not wanting other people to succeed at trying to win and have fun. You think the survivors have fun by being hooked in the basement while the killer stalks nearby? Nope. Give them a chance and they will take it so they can have fun. You killers think that if you are having fun, everyone else is. But unfortunately nobody has fun losing. So of course the survivors aren't having fun unless they have hope of possibly winning. But apparently when the have hope pf survival, you killers aren't having fun. When you should be. But no. You want a quick match where the survivors have no chance of survival and thats garbage and very toxic. Get over yourselves.
How about killers? Can killers win back if they play bad in early game, like get the first hook when only 3 gens left?
-
@DCash said:
If you were really an experienced killer you would know how to avoid BT and DS. Its very easy. Almost every survivor runs these perks. You are either a troll or really..................
Actually, run into DS is my best choice at that time, if I wait for DS timer, I don't know whether they have Unbreakable, and I also don't know where are the others two. At that time, my choice is I need to get their DS at least.

I run into DS all the time. It does not reset the game. It is a "stun," no more and no less. You get stunned by pallets, flashlights, and even the odd firecracker. Those are far less predictable (and unavoidable) than DS. I am not as good as the OP claims to be, and I'm able to deal with DS just fine. Anecdotal as that evidence may be, it is a fact. Some helpful reminders are:
- DS has a Timer. You can just slug them and wait.
- DS can be forced to be used early in the game (I do this all the time).
- Just avoid letting them save it for the EGC.
- I don't have time to wait the DS timer. When I wait 15s for BT and then wait for 45s for DS, all the others survivors are doing the gens. One gen need 80s for one survivor, so if I indulge others doing gens for 60s, I would lose at least 2 gens!
- Even I force survivors to use DS in early game, I still can't affort the loss, because I need another chase when others three are doing free gens, just as the above one.So if I took DS, I have to tunnel that one to playback.
-

Sounds to me like you went back to basement hook to force a possible snowball. Which is very common with Oni players who camp.
In the end there is very little to go by, without any info, but if you were as skilled as you claim you are then you would know that there is a possibility of a DS stun waiting to happen, and would have slugged.
I did't camp, I just walk out from the basement and look around, tell me where should I go? Then I heard footsteps and go back to defense, you know the footsteps on the whitehouse's floor is obvious.

I mean, im a rank 8-10 killer usually but only because I don't have time to play often. if I got that situation is be so proud of the survivors for getting so close to making a comeback, they had the perks, they had the guts, and they almost got away with it.
Your being a bit cringe man, how can BT and DS be so OP if you still killed them all with 2 gens left?
I won because I'm more experienced than most killer players. If others killers get the situation, 4 kills maybe turn to 4 escape. After all, my full advantage turn to nothing, I have to win everything back from the beginning. This is how streamer teams escape easliy everyday.

If you think clutch plays means not using perks, you should play something else..... Even killers rely on their perks for 4k.... And if you say you don't, try playing without any perks at all and then come talk to is.... Perks make the game. Plain and simple....
And, your points seems reasonable, but, the thing is, when we talking about the strenth of a killer, we need to mention this killer's core perks.
Bubba with Bamboozle and Bubba without Bamboozle is totally two different killer. If we delete Bamboozle now, Bubba would become a trash killer instantly. So does undying+ruin to all the killer are good at mutiple injury but have low mobility, like huntress, deathslinger and hag, cause they need perks to help delay gens. So does BBQ to nurse and spirit, they need to find the next target quickly instead of patrol.

Of cause I'm meanning! I'm angry because I feel like I was being taken for a fool! How they can save three from the basement? What's the use of the basement? Survivor perks are so much OP that they can get two free gens!

If you're efficient at hooking, my friend, allow me to introduce you to my favorite perk combo thus far:
Dying Light + Save the Best for Last.
Ignore the Obsession, and for each Survivor you smack, you get to attack faster and faster. For each Survivor you hook, generators slow to a crawl as the game goes on.
Take them down one-by-one, don't panic, and the final two gens or so will be completed at a snail's pace. Once you reach about 5 hooks, the generators will be mostly a non-issue.
I use this combo when I paly Freddy or Doctor, but as oni, SBL doesn't help a lot.
