Well that's true, I also don't have anything against them as a concept specifically I just don't like the current existing ones.
the current non chase killers are weird, skull merchant was just poorly designed, singularity is complex, and other things for chase/other killers.

I personally don't like trap- or informationbased killers, so I'm really fine with chase- or movementbased ones xD
that’s fair but I just think it would be a change of pace cause from just chase.

Personally we'd say yes, but the last attempt at one of those was skull merchant so jury is out on public opinion.
reworking her power would be a lot of fun, having them show up on a tracker while in the zone would be Awsome, and having to switch cameras for each drone so it’s like singularity but only info

when the chase isn’t worth it. I loose a gen and haven’t hit them, I hear a gen about to pop, they are the 4 stacks chaser, or they lead me to a god zone, and sometimes I will drop if they drag me out to the edge cause then I’m stuck without hooks or map pressure.

I think people are just not used to playing agenst him, I got a 4k on switch (which was running like a potato) and everyone just looped him like he had no power. I was lucky cause his zombies where is a good shot (I was on nostramo and one was on main with the gen and one was in the bundle of gens.) it’s inexperience not strength.
-
normally in America the DLC costs around 5-12 dollars. And if it’s in Philippines currency (I googled and that’s what I found) that is 66 US dollars. That is over 5x the amount.

I have it. But i don´t play him very often.
Somehow survs often see and discover me… when i play against GF i don´t see him and are magically exposed and downed out of nowhere sometimes :-)
he kinda just does that. He’s magical and every ghostface mains knows this

He's already a very weak killer. As a survivor, your job is to deny him stalking you or force him into dumping his stalk by taking protective hits and such. He keeps his distance and stalks you over time. That's his whole schtick. If that deteriorated, then he may as well not exist as a killer, consider that he stalks, then has to approach to ambush, and womp womp, his stalk meter deteriorated. While most killers rush in and go straight for chases, ghostie has to prep his ambushes and chases (unless he's just playing basic m1 style and may as well be playing trapper or wraith at that point). The stalk meter deteriorating would essentially punish him for using his own unique mechanic. He has zero chase power, so he's entirely reliant on successfully stalking someone to 99 and saving them for a later ambush…assuming you're wanting to actually use his power. Stalking someone up in their face only works against new players who don't have any situational awareness.
that makes a lot more sense now that you brought up how he was intended. I’m used to seeing people play chase ghostface.

@Langweilig said:
He is one of my favorite killers, but not quite strong. Funny enough as I started playing survivor I thought he was super strong, so I bought him and I really enjoyed him and still do, but I often get survivors who abuse the hell out of the reveal mechanic, which is very unfun to deal with.
reveal is his worst enemy. But to most players they won’t know how to reveal him. But on the rare chance you get your own reveal stalker it’s the worst thing.
-
looping is still a thing but you just need to learn how to counter a killer. Just find a video online and learn how.

It is the worst part of playing against him, no doubt. But there is also the issues of 99% survivors, as other people here have pointed out.
Not a fun character imho.
I say 99 should deteriorate after a bit. The devs want you to get a stalk to 90 something before getting in close, revealing them, then jump out. But 99 chase builds are kind of like Myers’s and removes the fun parts of him.
-
I kept seeing people say how fun it was but I never liked it, most killers use a build on that killer to specially cater to their play style. And random defeats that. What good is a chase build on ghostface or a stealth build on Billy. And that’s if you get perks that work together.
-
@Backmon said:

I mean hes very dependent for his grey addons (1st for stalking and 2-nd for shorter cooldown)
it’s boring to be locked in those 2. I run camera every time cause it’s just not worth not running it but the second is normally a purple depending on what build I use. Mostly knife sheath.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/428049/how-do-you-feel-about-ghostface
I want to play him, just to scare people, just being a ghosty
But each times I play him, I'm always revealed by the wind, and can't never be stealthythis is the curse of a pure stealth killer. He is completely different then any other and you need a whole new skill set to play him.
-
@Backmon said:
His cooldown is very long and most of his addons are boring (not weak, but just stat increase or niche aura reading)
The purple and iri add ons are the only ones that change it noticeably. His camera is the only one that is like a need to run but yea he needs more variety.

I don't mind ghost face but I just wish he couldn't just mark you in a chase and down you instantly.
that’s more along chase ghostface, those are kinda annoying but it’s still using his power right. I will say jumpscare ghostface is the best and doesn’t make chase as one tap as it would be with a chase.
-
@GeneralV said:
For a very long time, he was the killer I hated most. That reveal mechanic made so many of my survivor games miserable that I've lost count.
But not anymore. Wesker took the title from him.
he does have that part and it’s annoying from both sides. Sometimes you’ll be looking at him and not reveal him and sometimes as ghostface you get revealed by someone across the map or have someone following you to not let you get in power.
-
I stopped playing ghostface for this reason. I kept seeing people hate on stealth killers cause “it ruins the chase game”. When that’s the point, ghostface was a new thing and you had to keep a look out for him. But no matter how much I tried people never gave in and called him a boring killer.

Funny you say that because nemesis players always tunnel regardless if they are infected or not
I mean that’s true, for me I try and go after whoever is closest or infected. sometimes i forget and tunnel but I would rather not cause then it’s just boring.
-
in defense, when someone if infected it’s just better to go after them, unfortunately that normally is someone who just got hooked.
-
@Gplays2000 said:
Taking unbreakable in Solo Q is just not worth it most of the time. In my opinion they should implement a basekit unbreakable mechanic to incentivize the killers to go for hooks and not leave people on the ground…as that is just completely miserable.
as a killer main I try and see both sides (I’m biased so let me know if I’m wrong) but I say having that would be have it not start until other survivors or the killer is so far away. So survivors can’t just make the killer wait to pick up my running in with flashlights or waiting near pallets, but if the killer leaves yea give them the up.
-
@Devil_hit11 said:
i think people play killer that are fun. part of the having fun as killer is the killer power being strong and fulfilling to use. lots of killer powers are not fulfilling to use.
it’s a negative loop, people play fun but weak killers, they get wiped by one too many bully squads then they choose a strong character (whether or not it’s still as fun) to counter it, then a normal group meets the sweaty killer and get mad and become a bully squad.
-
well it’s more just the fact he’s a lich. But dnd art is all 2d so like here is his art
but I’d say a better looking character would be acerak. He has a much more horror themed style. And he looks better

though i don’t think undermining the horror of a killer like Skull Merchant or Trickster is the right way to get your point across (I know you didn’t actually argue against them) - the fact these are way more realistic and could actually work on the real world like that is very frightening. And people always forget that even Ghost Face belong into that category.my bad, that was when I was more annoyed and was trying to show how it was shown for Vecna. But yea it undermined my point tbf

I mean we just got an entire chapter dedicated to a fantasy roleplaying game so…and its about everything and what people have been saying in regards to DBD. Adding in a fantastical wizard who's only form of 'horror' being a gory mori is still a bad decision that strays extremely far from what DBD has and should be. If having a gory mori is all it takes to be classified as horror adjacent then throw in Mortal Kombat while we're at it and make every survivor have to win a 1v1 fighting game stage against the killer💀
Bottom line is this about a collective things and the direction DBD is going in is just not good for the actual fanbase it has and is quickly becoming just another 'throw anything in it just for money' type gamednd may not be entirely horror. But ravenloft is horror based. But it doesn’t seem like it if you only hear of the horny bard jokes. I will say having acerak would’ve been cooler (having traps like his dungeon and having a deactivated tomb of horror as a map, but that would just be a better trapper.) but they chose him due to
- The undead lich is an amazing horror concept.
- They wanted strahd con zorovitch but castlevania is coming eventually.
- vecnas book came out on roughly the same release date.
Just because it isn’t traditional slasher doesn’t mean it isn’t horror.
and btw Vecna is just cool -

Wait what?! I didnt even know there legendary tier of magic items And Now I read about them on Wiki And they both sound insane lol.
ikr. It gives the broken status now for 30 seconds when you use a Vecna item atleast now
-
this would be abused so easily. I think it being a 50/50 right now is a fun mechanic. If a swf brings it and uses a gen rush build along with hatch offerings then the killer couldn’t stop them. It would be a nightmare to face this.
-
I played on Xbox once as doctor and it felt horrid. It was slow and his power didt even work. Half the time I couldn’t even shock people.
-
I’m buying Vecna day one cause I love dnd but I hope they nerf his special items. Like teleporting is insane and you can’t stop it. I’d say have it charge for a few seconds before it teleports but I don’t really care that much cause it’s Vecna and he’s cool

Yeah, I can see how stealth feels more viable in solo q.
I don’t have anyone else to snitch and no one sees that I’m scared of the killer. Like hiding when the heartbeat first comes by. But when I try and loop I go down immediately so stealth is easy
-
I got a spinner I use and I got like 8killers I play but I do have mains if I just want a quick one. I say main is the one you play the most. So you can play a lot but still have a main
-
I don’t have any friends who play this and it’s easier to play stealth alone
-
I think we keep the old as a base Moro but we could get a new store spot with different mori’s

You can absolutely 360 on Switch. I do it daily. Change Survivor camera sensitivity to 55%
Also, don't use a characters personal perks. Killers expect newbies to have their own perks and play according.
Always use Kindred.
My SoloQ build is Kindred, We'll Make It, Distortion, and Resilience. 3 are going to be in any bloodweb and you just need to Prestige Jeff for Distortion.
I was planning on getting Jeff next either way cause I like his metal head style so now I got a better reason. Thanks a lot for all the tips as well

it’s simple. The game should track how many DCs and how many early hook suicides someone attempts. Once it hits a high threshold, matchmaking should start grouping them and matching them against like minded players.
actually that’s genius. Hook suicide should be allowed a bit like if you face a impossible check doctor, or if you want to report a fellow survivor for cheating, and keeping track and matching them would make soloq hopefully better so you got competent team mates and better for killer so you aren’t playing a 1v3 or playing agenst bots
-
it seems like a great list. Bad ham is horrid as most killers but I love it cause it’s the first map I played on. But as a killer it sucks so much. Open streets but also horrid buildings

Several of Unknowns add ons and cosmetics say that people can go completely insane just by looking at him.
oh yea, your right. I only remember iri and purple add ons. And clowns color flip addon

I got a few
1: Hawkins is only good if your playing with nostalgia, the upstairs sucks, the one person generator is a trap, the best chance you got to get a survivor down is hope a hook spawns up there or around otherwise there getting out, and it feels like a maze, with lerys you atleast got windows to move but I keep getting turnt around.
2: people who are toxic normally suck at the game so just tunnel them out if you really don’t like them.
3: the 3 gen stop is flawed if the game goes on for a while. I’ve had gens get blocked while playing normally. Having it reset after so long or having it be able to be kicked again after so long would be great, but it won’t happen cause some people will take advantage and have it reinstated
4: people who say “this can’t be in the game because it’s not horror” don’t realize it has aot, Alice in wonderland, and so much more, having fun things would be Awsome
And one Icy cold take is killing your self on hook should have a penalty as well

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/415161/just-bring-x-perk
For instance Is it a good balance to make a flashbang uncounterable just because the killer can bring lightborn (they removed the look at a wall counterplay)?
Flashbang is counterable.
To make Flashbang you have to:
- Equip such perk
- Do gens to 50%
- Be nearby downed survivor and not be spotted by the killer
- Time out flashbang just right
It takes skill and shouldn't be nullified by simply looking at the wall, because why?
If killer hangs someone on PainRes I don't have skillcheck to mitigate regression or some kind of mechanic. They earned it by
- Finding survivor, chasing them
- Downing survivor,
- Bringing them to scourge hook
- Hooking them.
But the survivor can just bring perks to bring down the tunneling value?
There are no survivor perks that hard counter tunneling, DS / OTR just delays it.
We've partially solved this in the past before with basekit BT and Anticamp.
Yes, because unlike flashbang, facecamping as Bubba was uncounterable. Same as hitting someone off the hook - it relied on another survivor bringing BT and I don't have influence on what my teammates bring to the match.
The games basically balanced by at least 1 gen defense perk.
No, it doesn't, it only made you think that.
Like, be for real, killers got buff to bloodlust, increased speed to kicking pallets, gens (-5% basekit regression btw), gen tapping is no more, maps got smaller, tiles got weaker and instead of strong pallets its something like this:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/F63EN12DZGZZ/image.png
This game is easier than ever before for the killers, because what survivors have left? Windows of Opportunity, to see tiles as above?
if you think just bringing flashbang should allow you to get free save in somewhat entitled. The killer already had to spend time to chase and down the survivor, had to use mind games, to use the power correctly, and then you do the counter by looking at a wall and someone runs up and ruins half the time you just spent downing them. Having counter play is a key aspect of everything, some gen perks are not very counterplayable, but the same can be said for things like background player or boil over. Because one side has or had uncounterable things doesn’t make it right for the other.

Marvin’s blood and the oblivious zombie add ons are really good tbf
