Why exactly were people annoyed by Legion besides those exploits, infinite mending, etc. Their gameplay was so cool at the beginning. I am not saying that now they are the worst killer in the game, but it feels so basic and boring to play compared to the old legion. They have a fri**ing knife, why aren't they more lethal?

OP says they point of another female killer is to even things up. Maybe you don't want another female killer just for a ratio but some people do.
And if that was the only reason I wanted a female killer, how is this even you're problem? I get that you disagree with my opinion but at this point you are just throwing dirt at me.

Can we let this discussion die, please? To even the number of female killers in the game wasn't the only reason I wanted a female killer. I posted several comments with additions to my Original Post, and I am sure you read them.

Wait I'm confused, do you want more bottom tier female killers?
Gender isn't important, what is is the quality of killers. I would be pretty upset if the devs decided to forgo Jason in favor of their OC with boobs or an obscure female horror killer
only 2 female killers are below average: Pig and Plague( and if you count Legion, then 3)
I agree that gender isn't important, but as you prefer Jason to be added in this game, I prefer female killers over male killers. It's just a matter of taste.
-
I dont know if I am correct here, but arent the devs divided in different teams, that are responsible for different things?Like the team for fixing bugs, I am sure it's doing its best job rn, but this team has nothing to do with the team that comes up with ideas and concepts for new content so saying that this kind of discussion is irrelevant is not true because I am sure the devs listen to the preferences of the community .
Now I agree that new killers should feel organic and not forced by any means, but for me the last few killers didn't really stood out the same way the female killers did, and I am sure a lot of the player base agrees that the female killers stand out more than the male killers do. I am not saying the male killers are not unique but some things just get....repetitive, but here you can disagree if you want and I am okay with that.
Thanks to @Iceman and @Orion and many others that explained my point better than I did. I am not a native english speaker and I know this isn't an excuse and I am trying my best to explain myself as good as I can. Thanks again ! :)

I personally enjoy the female killers more because they typically have cooler powers, an intriguing backstory, and are very well designed. Not saying the male killers aren’t but the female ones just look better IMO.
For the females you have a killer who can go through walls, a ghost who can go invisible, a priestess who vomits on you, a grandma who can teleport to a different body, and a Russian who sings a lullaby and chucks hatchets.
I wouldn’t want more female killers just for the sake of them being female but I’d want more females because they just seem better to me than most of the male killers.
omg, you worded that better than I could have ever done. Thank you sir :0

ok so I lowkey regret making this discussion, but that was just a thought I wanted to share. Do I think that killers must be labelled by their "genitals"? No, as someone mentioned before, this is a horror game and this kind of thing isn't its main goal, BUT personally I like female killers more than male killers . I have nothing against non-gendered killers like demo, but as I said before, Female killers are more relevant to my preferences.

Yeah, no one cares about Male/Female ratio.
Now regarding this, I am sure there are people out there who have preferences towards a specific gender, Thousands of people play this game daily thus this assumtion is completly wrong from my point of view. I find it weird tho that on the LGBT topic no one said "Yeah, no one cares about sexuality" but on the topic of male/female ratio, this statement suddenly is relevant.

Which of Lisa's perks is best?
Personally I think Ruin is the most impactful as people tend to not commit to getting rid of it any more. Devour Hope is great when it works but so unreliable. Third Seal is still very weak against any form of SWF.

Hi! I had a question about Cheryl's new perk, soul guard. If you pair it with unbreakable and there is an active hex in the game, does picking yourself up use up the free pick up from unbreakable? Because technically as long as there is a hex you have unlimited pick ups.
From what I've heard it wastes your unbreakable first then it counts if there are any hexes in the game. kinda dumb but maybe it's a bug.

I've been theory crafting a fun/interesting Killer build and think I'm ready to post about it.
The perks Blood Echo and Forced Penance would work well together(in theory) as long as you can injure survivors easily and get protection hits. They will be exhausted from Blood Echo(when you hook a survivor, all injured survivors become exhausted for 45 seconds and bleed more often until healed. and that will happen more enough because they can't heal due to Forced Penance(when a survivor takes a basic attack to protect a nearby survivor from the dying state, they cannot heal for 60 seconds).
In practice I found an issue with it - it is very hard to get Forced Penance to work because 'protection hits' are very hard to get. As an aside, if this score event was more optimized, Forced Penance, WGLF and MoM would actually be worth running on their own. Anyways, the issue was that survivors would scatter from generators - if I could even find more that one at once. So, I put on Discordance(get notified when 2 or more survivors are on a gen at the same time) to find multiple people at once and the meme that is Mindbreaker(survivors are exhausted for 3 seconds after leaving a generator) to stop the scattering with Sprint Burst. I quickly remember just how useless Mindbreaker was, so I took it off.
This left a final perk slot. I was doing this build on Wraith using his addon for a built-in BloodHound(blood is very bright) and that made it very scary for the survivors to be injured and exhausted and bleeding more, because I could track them so easily. Stridor would be good too, actually(survivors are louder, especially when injured). However, YOU CAN PRY BBQ AND CHILI FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS so that is currently my fourth perk.
Whole build:
Killer - Wraith
Addons - Hound(bright blood) and windstorm(faster when cloaked. Allows for bodyblocking pallets mid chase)
Perks - BBQ FOREVER BITCHES, Discordance, Forced Penance, Blood Echo
Offering - bloodpoints, duh
As Wraith, I had a pretty simple time getting first hits on people, but they were not always protection hits. Either it would only be one surv or the other one would get too far away to count as a protection hit. As such, usually the build was useless except for BBQ aura reading. However, on the few matches where I was able to get more than 1 survivor broken at a time, and the whole team was exhausted + hemorrhaging + broken, it was very fun and the survivors were very scared. in those games, i would ask the survivors in the postgame chat how much the build contributed to their loss. usually they said that they couldn't use [exhaustion perk] to get the exit gate/gen/survivor in time to carry on the match/escape. I also had a very easy time finding them due the excess of very bright blood.
My thoughts on how to make the build work more often would be to replace BBQ with Nurses Calling to know where to go to get easy protection hits and make more people injured at once for Blood Echo. If Mindbreaker was better it would also be a great idea. Blood echo also currently has a 45 second cooldown, so you cannot keep resetting the survivors' exhausted timer. That really sucks when i'm snowballing too fast for the timer to catch up with, and the survivors end up getting their exhaustion perks back. Then the snowball is over.
This is obviously not meant to be a great build. I depipped many times because the build simply never got rolling. However, when it did work, it was incredibly fun to watch the survivors realize just how ######### they are now that their exhaustion perks are gone and they are down in one hit, with me always somehow knowing exactly where they are at all times. I also pipped, for what it's worth.
Please please please give me feedback/suggestions/your own experience with this build if you have all the perks. It would mean a lot to me if I was playing survivor and went against this build, or if someone could make me go OH, DUH, with a suggested change to it. Once I get the perks on other killers, I will either edit this or more likely will comment on it with how the build works on other killers.
I've tried to craft a build with Forced Penance in it too, and what I ended up with looks like this:
Forced Penance+ Hangman's trick+ Agitation+ Mad Grit
basicaly with this build you want to pick someone up, and traverse the map, with the help of Agitation, and you can find survivors using Hangman's Trick ('cuz you can see survivors' auras when they are near a hook), then when you hit any survivor while you carry another, their timer is paused thanks to Mad Grit and because Forced Penance the survivor that you hit becomes broken.
This build works on every killer if you ask me, but I recommend using Demogorgon because of his bounce attack but generally speaking you can use it on who you want.

Soul guard paired with For the people and swf is actually op, ngl. I saw many videos that put this build in the spotlight and it's just powerful.

the point is its a very lackluster perk and the 10 sec haste buff is actually an insult. make it 30 sec to be AT least a bit usable.
I saw you commented on many posts regarding Blood pact and you keep saying the same thing, that the haste is pretty useless. If you adapt your playstyle to this perk's benefits it can be pretty nutty if you ask me. Not every perk can be as easy to activate as Sprint Burst that just requires you to run in order to activate it.

Fair enough. It doesn't say in game what the haste magnitude is so it's not the worst assumption I've seen. But nope, hope effect.
kinda nasty that haste is referred to 150% and %7 bonus also. new players might have a hard time understanding this effect. Could really use in the perk description to specify what type of haste you get.

My only thought on them is:
1) Killers can't see most of their cosmetics anyway.
2) Do survivors really want a shiny, floating, glowing thing around their head all the time?
1. yeah, but that applies in general with any outfit. Crowns aren't supposed to be an exception
2. immersed players? surely not. Survivors that scream for attention all the time? of course.
-
kinda off topic but are there any multiplayer games, dbd-like that did actually introduce pride outfits or references to the LGBT community? From what I know, no, but I might be wrong.

It is a little bit of a grind to do it for all the characters. I'm trying to make a point that it feels like a needless and pointless grind to get it on everyone if they treat it the same as the other events and hand it out for free.
it's not for all the characters, it's just for the original characters, which isn't that much, considering you have 2 weeks left to earn them till the event ends
-
I don't want to be the black sheep here, but I honestly think that's not a good idea at all. I don't know if many of you acknowledge that DBD isn't a game that just american people play. It's almost worlwide guys. Most of the people in Canada, USA, etc. truly support the LGBT community, but that's not the case everywhere. In A few countries from Europe and not only, it is still a hot topic, and by bringing in game this kind of outfits just seems ridiculous to me, thinking that a lot of the playerbase will just be MAD.
I'm not a part of the LGBT community, and I don't have anything against them, but can we actually enjoy together a game that doesn't promote sexual orientation? Let it be just a survival game with some diversity. If you think that a certain character could be a part of the LGBT community, well good for you, dont emphasize that concept over and over again. Keep it simple, we don't need any more drama in this world cuz' it's too much already.

Indeed this new chapter brought up some awesome new perks that can go in a lot of builds. Lately, I feel like they tried creating perks that work good on weaker killers (Blood Echo, Forced Penance, Deathbound, etc.)
This build, as you describe it, is kinda nasty, and I love it.

I think that seperated ptb you suggest was already suggested. It is then the experimental mode of overwatch. Which I think is a great Idea.
The main reason a lot of perks arent used is because they are situational.
And why play a situational perk that rely on the enemys and the map when you can play a perk that can be used in Every match effectively .
but playing every match effectively doesn't become boring after a while? I get that everyone wants the best perks out of the best, but idk I feel like sometimes less used or not so common perks spice up the things a little bit, and if they do their job it's even more refreshing. idk maybe it's just me

I tried explaining to myself why the devs chose the aura thing to alarm survivors and I think I finally have an answer.
So, some killers have the Undetectable status effect built into their kit. When survivors face one of the stealthy killers, they'll pay close attention, knowing that at any given time, the killer can just jump scare them.
Now let's talk about other Undetectable perks:
1. Insidious. This perk is bad by itself, it encourages you to camp objectives which is not healthy in any way. But once the survivors find out you have it, they'll watch out and pay close attention when they're going for an unhook. That's its "counter".
2. Dark Devotion. The same thing. Once you realise that the Obsession carries the Terror Radius or the killer is stealthy after the Obsession has been hit, you'll look on the HUD more to see if the killer has hit the obsession and is planning to come after other survivors so you can be prepared in a way.
3. Tinkerer. The same thing. Once the killer comes at a gen almost fully repaired with Undetectable you can play around that next time.
There might be other perks I missed, but You get the point, right? After the first time the killer uses the Undetectable status effect, you'll expect it in a way, either by seeing that the Obsession got hit, or you almost complete a gen. You can ASSUME that maybe he is coming and you can keep a close eye.
Now imagine how this perk would work without the gen aura being revealed to the survivors. At any given moment, the killer can just come at you, being Undetectable of course, and you can only play around that, just by treating the killer the same way you do against usual stealth killers, which would give an imense advantage to the killer for the whole game.
Imo I think it's balanced the way it is right now, you can also pair it with Hex: The Third Seal for its full potential. Hope I helped! :)
-
Just combine it with Thrill of the hunt+Third Seal so the totem can stay longer up and use this perk. That's the point of builds in dbd, to make perks work better together, removing downsides. One example I can give you is Spirit Fury+ Enduring. They both give eachother benefits that you wouldn't get by running them separately. Just work around it and if you dont like this combo use PGTW, a perk that gives you a big benefit and doesn't require that much of a skill, oh and also doesn't have a cooldown! Sometimes people just like complaining....

Blood pact is 10 seconds haste now.
Yeah, I realised it later that they modified most of the perks a bit. 10 second is better than 8, but now you have to fully heal to get this effect. I feel like you could have gotten more plays if by just a tap you got haste, but still it's a decent perk, tho I find it the worst out of all her 3 perks.
-
Do you guys think that her perks should have some use now? You are extremly wrong if you think so. First off Soul Guard. Do you think now after not only a day from release, killers would just slug you without thinking you might have it? Of course not, wait until everything goes back to normal and the killers wouldn't expect you to have this perk anymore, then SG will show its power.
Repressed Alliance has the same problem. PH doesn't get the most benefit out of PGTW and RA was made especially to counter PGTW. Wait till everything goes back to normal, people will play other killers and most probably they'll run PGTW and I am very positive that Repressed Alliance will be a good perk against it.
Blood Pact, if it hasn't changed from the PTB, should still be a decent perk. Think about the haste you and the other survivor get for 8 seconds by only tapping that survivor. You could even use it in a chase to give that haste to the survivor who's being chased. Really underrated imo

Hello. In my opinion, SFTS was perfectly buffed. The thing that makes him bad is a lack of crows on the map. There are so many places where should be crows, but they are usually in the corner or even better on the hook which is very confusing when somebody is hooked. In general, I think that crows are badly done. Devs could have put more effort into the crows.
It's not necessarily that this perk is bad but there are other perks that work better, and synergize together. SFTS is more of a perk that works by itself and usually people choose perks that, when paired together, have a bigger impact on the game.

@TWiXT said:
On one hand it removes the survivors ability to hear the killers TR which can lead to some surprises for the survivor if they aren't paying attention. On the other hand, it doesn't remove the killers red stain effect, and the afflicted survivor(s) have a status effect icon that tells them they should be more alert and look around more. When they first announced these status effects I was worried that both Oblivious and Undetectable would show up on the survivors hud, but fortunately only Oblivious does. Can you imagine if Undetectable showed up for survivors every time the killer used it? That would pretty much defeat the purpose.
That's how I feel about Oblivious, It would be a strong effect if the survivors didn't know they were affected by it, but since they do, It only makes them more cautious to the killers whereabouts. Also given that it doesn't remove the killers telltale Red Stain, Survivors can more easily spot the killer while under its effect unless they are on an indoor map with lots of LoS blockers, or destructible walls they killer can smash through and surprise them. Basically Oblivious is a weaker version of Undetectable that makes anyone but noob survivors more cautious and vigilant when they are affected by it. While that doesn't make it totally useless, especially in indoor maps where its much harder to spot the killer, but it also doesn't make it anywhere near as useful as Undetectable.
The devs did this by design so that the survivors would know they are being de-buffed and need to be more alert. In a way, solo players having that icon appear on their screen have a tendency to be less bold until it goes away, but in the instances where the survivor is in an SWF team on voice chat with their friends, it becomes a useless status effect.
I fully agree with what you're saying, but the devs just keep using this status effect on new things that are being added. Is it really necessary?
As you stated before, oblivious is just a weaker version of Undetectable, which I'm totally ok with, not everything has to be strong, but it feels to me like a wasted potential. Maybe 'Deathbound' will manage to pull some plays with the oblivious effect, and will give oblivious a good purpose but I highly doubt it. Remains to be seen tho.

Because the devs support the LGBT community and some of their employees are LGBT themselves. Just a wild guess.
And yes, profit is also relevant. They're a company, saying they do something for profit is like saying the ocean is salty; it adds nothing to the discussion.
Good point, Orion. Off topic btw, I admire you very much for your integrity in this forums. always quick, on point and respectful responses! I am glad that this community has people like you :)
And regarding the LGBT, I somehow think that the devs know that a part of this community includes LGBT people, and just want to make this game as enjoyable for anyone as it can be. The same thing applies to the characters released after Jeff too, you can see that the devs started making survivors more diverse and not as lifeless as before.
