  • I honestly would be fine with CoH if it were one or the other on healing. Either you can self care at full speed, or you heal allies twice as fast. The fact that it's both is far too powerful, on top of the fact that the existence of a boon gives Killers a new objective that Survivors can infinitely replace whenever they want anyways.

The one time I got hit with power struggle I was a bloodpallet Freddy.

    He hit a bloodpallet

Honestly if they made it so you could Power Struggle a dream pallet I wouldn't even be mad. It's Power Struggle.

Dragons Grip with Insidious on a normal terror radius killer and then hide nearby a gen after kicking it. I've personally fell for it twice. Once against a Trapper and another on a Demo I believe.

It probably wont work all that often but I imagine it's hilarious to see.

Insidious in general at weird spots can get some funny hits.

I know a guy who likes to run DG + Trail of Torment on Clown. it's scary how good it can work.

  • Seeing a lot of people recommending Thanatophobia here. I'm gonna pitch in and say Survivors heal too fast for Thana to be good anymore unless you're Plague and remove healing from the video game. Instead, I'd recommend Pain Resonance. It's a much better stall perk on a stall-based Killer. Especially if DMS doesn't get nerfed on launch; regressing the gen, blocking it. and then making them mend sounds tasty.

Coup de Grace and Play With Your Food on Legion

Nobody expects it and 1 hit is all it takes to go down after a frenzy. People tend to really greed vs m1 killers so that extra lunge or 5% ms often causes that one extra loop to be fatal

I like PWYF on Legion for reasons other than the unexpected nature. I like PWYF on Legion because it's just good on Legion.

Seriously, it rewards you for using your hit-and-run power by improving your ability to hit-and-run. It's great.

That is true. For the first month it seemed much better/tighter than what we have now, which is completely random. But the framework is at least there for this to work if they ever get inspired.

Having the framework there doesn't matter if the framework sucks. It's barely functional, doesn't do what it's designed to do, and, frankly, doesn't even work in Dead By Daylight. Seruosuly, who thought it was a good idea to put skill-based matchmaking in one of the least skill-based PvP games on the market?

It actually does put more people in closer matches than the emblem system did on average.

I'll believe that statement when I see it.

And considering I, you know, play Dead By Daylight, I should be seeing it all the time instead of literally never.

I agree with most of his points, especially about how MMR seemed much better in the first month after release and how now it's just throwing all players together with seemingly zero logic.

As much of a pain as MMR has been at times, it's a necessary evil. The devs can't make changes without good data behind them, and they can't have good data without good matchmaking. You need a controlled environment to see these things.

I hammer the lack of nuance regarding skill calculation on the survivor side, but it's better than what we had. And there's unfortunately not a great way to quantify game sense/positioning outside of looking into how often a particular survivor's entire team dies relative to remaining gens. A spectacularly dumb player probably has a high correlation with 4ks at 3+ gens.

I think they're trying to have their cake and eat it too with the system though, and it won't work. I still maintain that hiding personal MMR does more harm than good for the community. And you can't have good SBMM without significant wait times for outliers. Some players are going to have to wait for good games.

"As much of a pain as MMR has been at times, it's a necessary evil. The devs can't make changes without good data behind them, and they can't have good data without good matchmaking. You need a controlled environment to see these things."

That logic fails on account of how, for all intents and purposes, MMR is a worse matchamking system than what we had before on account of how it doesn't do its job. The goal of MMR-based matchmaking is simple: Put players in matches with players of a similar MMR level. And it DOESN'T DO THAT. It does not do the one thing it was designed to do. The environment is even LESS controlled than before because players are not getting matched with their own MMR brackets even close to consistently. DBD's matchamking is not good, so it will not give good data.

  • Pig is just as playable and just as unplayable on high MMR as she is on medium or low MMR because MMR doesn't work.

  • Anything that isn't a set.

  • They've been doing this a lot lately, with both buffs and nerfs. An addon gets its value tweaked and winds up the same as a different addon. Usually the second addon also gets tweaked accordingly when the PTB hits live, but this is the fourth time this has happened.

-Trickster's Fizz-Spin Soda addon had its initial throw rate value decreased from +3 to +2, the same as Ji-Woon's Autograph.

-Pinhead's Torture Pillar addon had its chain hunt timer reduction decreased from -10 seconds to -5 seconds, the same as Burning Candle.

-Bubba's Long Guide BAr addon has its tantrum threshold bonus increased from +1 second to +2 seconds, the same as The Grease.

-Clown's Solvent Jug addon has its invigoration bonus increased from +1 second to +2 seconds, the same as Garish Makeup Kit.

  • Killer: Rancor. The entire perk is just "screw that one person in particular." It's not even good. It's just an uncounterable permanent NOED and mori for whatever poor sod is the obsession.

Survivor: Boons as a whole. If the game were more balanced, boons would be fine. But in the game's current state, Killers REALLY don't need another bloody objective. Especially when Survivors can just put that objective back whenever they want an infinite number of times and make the Killer's time spent doing said objective absolutely pointless.

  • There is a way. You can pounce in such a way that Victor lands exactly on the window and stops, allowing you to move off the sill and down onto the roof. However, this can be risky: The windowsill is considered the "death zone" for Victor, and he will die if you don't move off it fast enough. But don't move too fast, because if you do, the Survivor will have time to run up and kick you once you fall down.

Hell, for all I know, they could've brought back the thing where you can kick Victor on the windowsill. Did they ever even patch that bug or is it still there?

Iiiiii do not think you've been here long enough to make that judgement. We've got some lovely Spirit PFPs in these parts.

Trust me, I have. And there is no such thing as a "lovely" Spirit pfp.

  • Spirit should be on the polar opposite side of the chart. Not a single post from a Spirit pfp is anything other than the most woke and obvious bait posts ever made.

Well Rin was always the Chad Yamaoka anyway so it’s fine.

And here we see concrete proof that opinions can in fact be incorrect.

  • Well it's very simple. You don't snipe with Artist. You place your Nemesis down at the pallet and then launch it when Survivors get near it.

  • Well it's simple. I don't.

  • Well, if he released now, he'd be a Killer that's coming out after 2019, so... a 115 zoning Killer with no mobility, clearly.

5th perk?? Isn't it literally apart of the 4 perk slots if you choose to run it?

When Circle of Healing is up, the other three Survivors effectively have 6 perks: The four they decided to bring, We'll Make It, and Self Care.

  • Meanwhile Freddy who has not received a single skin since his release.

  • With the buffs she got in the mid-chapter and now the fact that she is the only Killer in the game who can effectively counter CoH, maybe BHVr secretly wants Plague to become a meta Killer.

On a side note, I think it's realy telling that the only Killer who can reliably and effecitvely counter Circle of Healing is the Killer that disables the healing mechanic entirely.

  • Shadowborn: Add a Killer FoV slider to the game. Shadowborn has a new effect: Instead of increasing the field of view, the visual distortion caused by noise notifications is eliminated and the Survivor that caused the loud noise has their aura revealed for 5/6/7 seconds.

Aftercare: No longer resets when being hooked by the Killer.
