Laughable as much as people wanting to be able to report for teabagging, waiting at the gate, blinding, slapping on hook, ground humping and so on
-
Ok but let's talk about the nurse dcing in gideon after having all 5 gens done in a 3v1 and complaining about survivor sided maps
-
Tldr + you were playing knight
-
If a killer has to waste time to 2 hit me to push me out, an injured team mate that couldn't possibly make it through that gate could easily run to the other and open it. It's buying them time. That's a simple reason and a win/win for us. Either push me out and waste time or have me there to help my team mate with bodyblocks, unhooks etc.
-
Honestly wraith just needs his lunge duration buff-nerf to be buffed again to 1.25s. Or make it 1.15, a middle ground, everyone happy

In the last week I've had a winrate of around 30%, and by win I'm including any games where I get more than 1 kill. I get that I don't play the strongest killers and I'm not the most experienced person in the game but I am I stupid for thinking that there's something seriously wrong if I'm getting zero kills, and sometimes zero downs, in the majority of my matches?
Is it possible to get some actual gameplay footage?

by "stupidly buffed" you mean +0.5% per injured survivor?... Really?
Yes, really, because if you read the rest of my message I said "it had already recently been buffed + it was getting a shadow buff because of the increased gen times in that same patch"
Is this difficult to understand?
-
@MB666 said:
survivors got thana nerfed just because "red bar = bad" even back when thana was 20% and 5% for each injure was still countered by toolboxes and resilience + prove thyself....but no one wanted to run other perks outside of the meta soo they did massive complains about it and there you go.
it was more of a problem with plague tho...(yeah 8 seconds extra to a gen was soo MUCH to some people)
funny enough dejavu is gonna get buffed which is 6% now...against the lame values of thana this is just sad on many levels...
Don't spread lies. Thana got nerfed because it was stupidly buffed in patch 6.1.0, when it had already recently receive a buff, on top of the fact that it was already getting shadow buffed because gens times were getting increased too in that same patch.
4 stacks of thana during 6.1.0 would mean a single gen would take 115 seconds (that's way more than 8 seconds extra), and considering it could be easily stacked with other slowdown perks it would easily make games last forever, especially on Legion and Plague.
Was the rework effective? No of course not, because now thana is still only viable on legion and plague. But let's not pretend it would not have been a problem

You gonna even remotely consider what to give her for a power then cause that is literally supposed to be her standout ability as bad as it is.
Yes, I considered it. The answer is nothing
-
4. Survivors working in gens don't have their lock on timer increased so they will not get exposed
-
I know you go all in to win but man is your build obnoxious, especially considering the killer you're playing

That's a big cap,dude.
Please, refrain from ever making such a bold yet wrong statement.
Nurse is unarguably the strongest and worst designed killer.
She predates the era of 2016-2017 when everything was AWFUL for killers.
She doesn't deserve to be in the game anymore, damn the thousands of hours of Nurse one has put into their game,if it's bad it's BAD!
And nerfing her is the right thing and that's FINAL!
Worst designed? Are we playing the same game?

But how many other matches are engaging? If i play with players which can keep up with a nurse, most other matches against other killer end with one or two hooks.
I personally have many fun matches against nurses, but its hard to tell if its bc of the skill level of the nurse. Sometimes i go down in 20 seconds in the first chase and loop her then for 2 min in the second chase, just bc there are more los-blocker.
Killers and killer players aren't as trash as this forum and as some content creators tend to say
Of course we do also get players that get rolled over, just as often as when I play killer and get soloqueuers that I easily steam roll

In my experience, most nurses games are usually stomps at 4-5 gens because we are sent to a map with little obstacles and walls or easy games because the killer cant hit one person like 15 times and give up .
Neither of them are fun, engaging experiences i must say
Of course, i only play in swfs so nobody gives up. We know what we're doing, and nurse games are usually engaging regardless of the outcome and unless she's a baby nurse
-
@Rovend said:
The main problem with nurse has always been her power. It's impossible to balance a power that lets you teleport in a game where the opposite side needs to loop or put some obstacles between to survive.
Unless the devs rework her power(changing basically everything that makes nurse what she is) or Drastically nerf her power( not addon changes or exposed hits, i mean huge nerfs like 1 blink max or cant blink through walls), she will always be tier S and not fun to go against
Speak for yourself, now that all those skillful god tier nurses that somehow were only able to play with starstruck and range add-ons are gone, she actually IS fun to go against again
-
After the most recent nerfs complaining about nurse is just a huge matter of skill issue.
I don't understand why they removed the lightburn mechanic, as she didn't need buffs and this was a skillful counter to her power, but I'm pretty sure most people who complain about her wouldn't even be able to pull it off efficiently anyway
Also you were tunneled for 2-3 minutes?? If you weren't the only kill she got after such a chase then your team didn't really deserve to escape anyway
-
My thoughts exactly
-
Lery's isn't actually that bad for nurse, if you know the layout.. RPD is far worse
Also i think one of spirit's worst realms is red forest because the rain sound covers survivor footsteps way too much
Anyway interesting choices, it would be interesting to hear your opinions on why you made certain map choices but that would create a very long thread i guess
-
Dude couldn't you post this like a couple of days ago?
I literally played 3 genning skull merchant with build + map offering all intended to 3gen from the start yesterday. Could've actually recorded

The intended way for killers to play is “lose humiliatingly, allow survivors to call you slurs, never ask for any improvements.”
Sir, you forgot to wear your make up 🤡

Considering how it went with the first map, I hope not

Man, all the face-camping Bubbas are coming out in droves to make sure the devs don't ruin their "fun"
If you don't like being punished for doing nothing but staring at the survivor you managed to hook and that's your only idea of fun... Go play Civilization.
Ironically speaking, bubba will still be the best face camper, since he can eat through basekit bt and again with one chainsaw, guaranteeing the down

Most people are going to leap at the first chance they get.
I also think the timer shouldn't slow down if people are around the hook, it should stop completely if the killer is in a chase around the hook, but if the killer isn't in a chase and there are people hovering nearby waiting to try to save, it should not slow down at all.
Yeah and most soloqueue survivors will just spend 2 whole minutes crouched 10 meters from the hook waiting for the killer to leave, jump out at the last second and fail the trade, instead of doing gens
Guess what: most players are dumb and have literally zero game sense

I think the builds become an issue when the player is good, and that's a bit of a blind spot the devs have had with many add ons and loadouts for as long as the game has been around IMO.
Alc Ring won't do anything for someone who isn't good at Blight. But it will make an average Blight punch way above their weight class, and it will cause a world class Blight to win hundreds of games in a row. Many killers have add ons that have exponential power creep as player skill increases.
Nothing to object on what you said, I agree 100%. But it's the same on the survivors side. 4 good survivors with 16 meta perks, 4 medkits or toolboxes and a map offering are really difficult to beat. I mean you didn't take a side on your first sentence, but you only spoke about blight afterwards, that's why I'm speaking about survirors too. But I agree100%
The way I interpreted op's post though was killer builds giving them free wins even though they weren't even as close as good as the team they were facing. There's stil a few things (MDR/DCB spirit, blight's addons...) but overall I don't think we're anywhere as close to a free win than starstruck ranged nurse ever was for example

What do you feel is a build or map which guarantees the survivors are all going to escape? I would love to try that build.
Like what is the instant complete generator perk which is the mirror opposite of an instant kill perk?
None, as there are no such things for killer either, it's more about the intention of having a way easier game than usual
If I showed you thhis screenshot without context you'd probably think immediately that nurse was up for an easy win. This was berfore the CoB and PR changes too, and she got Coal Tower of all maps.
The reality is that she dced after not getting a single hook after 3 gens popped
It's all about the intentions, but it really depends on who you go against (a nurse trying to pub stomp going against my swf, where my friends have all 8k+ hours and comp experience, + me being a noob with 'only' 4k).
At the same time, I can assure you that if my friends and I brought these kinds of builds (from the next screenshot) in our matches + map offering, we would quit the game out of boredom:
Tbf I was palying spirit, but does it really matter when I was facing those builds? (4 adrenalines btw, as if they thought they would reach end game :') )
To sum up, no builds will guarantee a 4escape or 4k, but there are things that will simply make it easier for one side if facing someone of similar skill. If one is bad, maybe just wallhacks could carry them
-
It's the nature of this game, and it's not a one sided story. There are very strong things that generously compensate a lack of skill on both sides
It's not fair but it is what it is

I'm glad you guys remembered you actually have this feature to use when stuff breaks 🙂

Here's the one's I think are worth it for the perks alone:
Myers ~ STBFL is really good. PWYF is okay, at best. Dying Light is bad.
Bubba ~ Franklin's is good. BBQ is still good. Knockout is bad.
Ghostface ~ Furtive Chase is bad. I'm All Ears is good and so is Thrilling Tremors.
Nemesis ~ Lethal Pursuer is an extremely good perk. Eruption is still okay. Hysteria is bad.
Pinhead ~ All three of his perks are absurdly good. PR is godly, Deadlock is really good and Gift of Pain is agonizing to play against.
Sadako ~ Floods of Rage is good. Merciless Storm is due for another bug soon, take that how you will. CoB + Overcharge is still good on Dull Merchant.
I think you confused PR (Artist's perk) with Plaything, which is still quite good though
-
Midwich is one of the most horribly designed maps in this game. It's not only a nurse issue. Think about skull merchant, doctor, blight or wesker.
Meanwhile all other killers suffer from the most uninteractive but efficient counterplay: w gaming. Other than the fact that it's extremely anoying to be downstairs, hear clearly a survivor working on the gen on top of you and having to walk to uganda and back to reach it, just for the survivor to have pre run in the opposite direction and being at the end of the corridor already
-
Nurse after the last nerfs is finally fine, although they should've kept lightburn mechanic on her
Blight and Spirit are fine base pwoer wise. They just need some of their addons nerfed.
The last mid chapter was probably one of the best patches we've had in a long while. The only issue remaining is the existance of SM. Knight is boring as ######### but his 3gen potential is nowhere close to SM's.
This game has one of the worst map design teams I've ever witnessed, and most of the new and recently reworked maps are extremely survivor sided.
Honestly speaking, camping is the only issue I see for survivors, because it forces trades, and in some cases (bubba etc) it's just impossible to also trade, and the only band aid patch we have for this is locked behind a paywall. Tunneling is a skill issue on the survivor's side (both the tunneled person and the rest of the team, who should be slamming gens and not wasting time). Get better at chases and by the time the killer gets you to death hook, all gens will be done

So... like where should I run? To comp corner? Should I hit a survivor, run to the furthest point on the map, wait for you to heal and then come back? I'm just trying to figure out exactly how I, as a killer, can actually make survivors the most happy, because really that is what all this is about.
You should run to find someone else???????????????? Very difficult concept
-
I don't mind hit and run as long as it isn't hit and go back to check my 3 gen
-
You're not losing your mind, I noticed this too
Can we have one single patch ever where sounds don't break in a way or another please
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
We can't balance maps while we have killers like Blight, Spirit, Nurse.
Nah, we can. The problem with certain smaller maps is that they spawn unbreakable 3 gens. But that ain't an S tier killer problem only, is it?
Unfortunately all the new maps have been ass and they managed to make mother's dwelling even more unplayable, which is unreal
-
No, but they should show who the survivors were teaming with in the post game screen. This would definitely open the eyes to certain killers who keep "losing to comp swfs" and face "nothing else"
-
Dude, earlier I loaded in midwich and obviously the killer was skull merchant. The survivors didn't stand a chance, I locked a 3 gen and kept slugging them until my challenge was complete
Bonus points: i took the map offering
Kudos to them, they didn't dc

Killer:
Overrated- Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance
Only having 4 hooks and 4 tokens at 25% Gen regression means that a Killer either needs to prioritize Hooking Survivors on Scourge Hooks at the beginning or in the middle of a Match... TL;DR adding more things that Killers have to keep in mind is kinda bad IMO
Underrated- Oppression
Having both extra Gen regression and information is great... even though it's all base Gen regression is still can pack a punch if used right
I don't have an opinion on Survivors perks as of right now... I don't play Survivor that much
Asking the killer to have a minimum of strategy is... Bad?
Idk what killer perk is overrated. Meta perks are obviously not, and non meta perks are at most considered good. Corrupt is not overrated at all btw
Underrated though: agi (and new gearhead now that i tried it and see literally no one using it)
Survivor: overrated, Rebecca's perk for skill checks
Underrated: self care ;)

Then I am curious, what exactly are the facts that make her objectively bad? Because if she is objectively bad, you must have facts to prove such a point.
If you can't figure out by yourself how a killer that can permanently lock from the beginning of the game an area making it impossible for survivors to progress the game is bad design, i don't know what to say tbh
-
I'm actually fed up of lore-matching skins. Idgaf about the lore of this game, since it literally has no impact on the gameplay
Look at plague, she literally has one skin only

Wake Up WAS crashing the game. It made the killer crash when the survivor touched an exit gate.
But yeah I wish they were more consistent with it. Twins and Merciless Storm both should’ve been disabled when they were bugged.
Wait, you are right, i forgor
