That's what I was doing too @se05239. But then I thought maybe it does matter... So an official statement would be great

"Did you have fun?" I wish the answer wasn't a hard no so often.
i do not rate the match with 1-5 points. I simply select 1 if I happen to face a steamrolling instasaw billy, omeganurse or ultratoxic gameplay, and 5 points if the killer did just do his job and kill us or we escaped. So kind of a boolean rating from me here, fun: yes or no
-
I like Dance with me and Windows of Opportunity. Dance with me is cool for indoor maps and helped me escaped a lot of times. Also helps in outdoor maps but you need to break LOS. Windows is a good perk to know where the next pallet is or if it was broken before. Also helpls me optimize my way in a chase
-
@CheersTC I second that. Q&Q is really func, when you are in a jungle gym and jump in a locker. Nearly no killer expects you to be that stupid so they wont check it at first.
-
@Peanits could you give us a little bit of information here?

Why would that make you a bad person? If you enjoy the game and want to play it on a different platform, then by all means do so. Only thing that matters is your enjoyment. Video games are entertainment. Do what entertains you.
I just dont want to be a toxic scum that bullies killers that have not played as much as I do. I hate it if a killer is "toxic" and I would really want to not be like this (as a surv). So if I go up against R15-20 Killers, they could get a bad experience and I really like everybody in a match to have fun. Do I contribute to the toxicity then?

Maybe you ARE a bad person. Who cares? Have fun killing silly survivors
I would play survivor. I would really try to not be toxic and so forth. I thought about trying alle the funny survivor builds like unbreakable,flip-flop,tenacity,boil over. Or something like this. Maybe ultra loot builds and i run around and hand rangemedkits with instaheals to other survivors
EDIT: is unbreakable even available on PS4?
-
Thx for the input guys. I did not want to say PS4 is not competitive. It doesnt matter if i create an alt account on Steam and stay at grey ranks for casual games or play on PS. I just wanted to have a reason to play on my PS4 a little bit more often as it gets more and more dusty since I got addicted to DBD

I understand you and think you are right @Rivyn. If Solo play is buffed like this there would killers buffs be needed as well. But i think it would be easier to balance as there is no big gap between swf and solos anymore.

Just do a communication system similar to Identity V.
Have hotkeys set up for preset messages.
"The Killer is near me!"
"Do generators!"
"The killer is chasing me!"
"Follow me!"
"I need help!"
"Don't rescue me!"
"I'm cleansing a totem!"
"Go ahead, I'll rescue the others!"
"Wait here!"
And etc. It works completely fine in Identity V. If someone keeps spamming it, they can be put into a cooldown and they're not that annoying anyway to begin with, all while keeping communication pretty close to SWF levels despite being solo.
This sounds perfekt for me, as I am the kind of survivor that likes to have as much information as possible. But there should definitely be some kind of timeout to prevent trolling like @Heroiq mentioned
-
@se05239 no voice com, just in game notifications like the ones the killers sees when you fat vault as surv or something like that.
@twistedmonkey i get that some people would not like that kind of information, thats why i mentioned that the "feature" would have to be optional. You want to play "alone"? ok, disable it. You want to get infos from your mates, then turn it on.
Also please note that I definitely think that that buff to the survivors would also need buffs to the killers in some way.
Edit: maybe not a bubble is shown, but you can make you aura visible to other survs for idk 2 seconds with some kind of cooldown. for example when you make the point gesture you are shown to others?

I get the feeling that the DC epidemic has improved. I am playing in europe region red ranks and I i get a Survivor DC every 5 matches max. Killer DCs are even less frequent.
In contrast to my experience about 1/2 months ago, there was not a single match without at least one DC. So I am seeing an improvement to the situation. Am I the only one?
-
that is exactly why you cannot talk to each other but "place notifications" on the map. Maybe with an option to disable the feature so trolls cannot spam 1000 bubbles everywhere
-
do you think dedicated servers will fix some of the issues?
I can only think of ping when i experience head on not working.
@Peanits are DEVs aware of the situation, that head on is unfortunately "bugged"?

Urban Evasion and Self Care? Sloppy Butcher? Starting a gen near basement? Sounds like they don't have too many hours.
Don't waste your time and move to the next game, sometimes I question how my teammates are actual people.
to be honest i do not understand why self caring against sloppy is that bad. If i do not know here the killer is, and i dont run bond or something I will self care. What is better, "wasting" time healing or getting hooked? (because I am no godlike looper). Also wasting time healing slows down the gen rush, which i hate as survivor too.

You should heal against Legion imo. They're faster now, so they can down you. It's also more possible now to avoid the first hit. If you're gonna not heal for Legion, might as well not heal for anyone, but that'll put you in a bad spot if there's a gen in a weak spot.
I think so too, but it depends on the legion imho. If he always runs at me with frenzy, then i won't heal, but that does not happen very often in better ranks. If he knows what he is doing and can outplay me with mindgames, than i definitely heal.
How do you "handle" plague?

Because bbq has plenty of counters ? BBQ has no counters only if you doing extremely good. Tremendous terrors block inactive gens and doesnt block active ones meaning you already know where is everyone. And unlike bbq it works every time you hook someone.
I think that the perk is called "Thrilling Tremors", but you have a good point. i did not know that he can see the difference if the gen is blocked or not, i just thought it was to slow down the game.
So a good idea, if you know that the killer runs the perk, is to stop working on a gen before someone gets picked up?
And what do you mean with the private profiles. Mine is private, but i did not think that i effects my mates' or the killer's playstyle.

Btw even if killer has bbq you can still keep repairing the gen. He will be either on you or somebody else. Better if you can waste his time than letting him take down somebody else in 1 sec. Go in locker only if you are mid distance and you are doing nothing or you are injured.
the timing is: go in locker when you see the kiler pick somebody up. Not when he downs somebody.
Right, i see a lot of people get the timing wrong. Also if you hear the sound and see the bubble fo someone being hooked and you are not fully in that locker, it is too late. I had a lot of games where i was hooked and could see the others get into lockers, but the killer saw them.
@Slayer why do you think that?
Maybe a few more tips that i can come up with:
- if the killer is legion, try to stay as far apart as possible. Same goes for freddy imho (heal against him?)
- don't heal at the edge of the map after you go unhooked. There is no pallet or window to protect you. (if you know the killer is in the complete opposite area, then it is safe i guess)
- only heal at the hook if you can be sure that the killer will not come back
- if killer is LF, it is extremely unsafe to unhook someone in the basement. These situation tend to stack and end up with 4 basement hooks sometimes
-
I played a few games yesterday with my surround system. I could not hear any chase music at all. All other sounds also seemed "wrong". e.g. chainsaw sounds or spirit phase walk. I nearly could not hear those sounds either.
I will try it with my headphones today, maybe that is better.
I tested it on the PTB and thought it was a bug, obviously I was wrong.

Run hope with sprint burst and adrenaline. Start sprinting just before gates are powered.
ZOOOOOOM!
Where is my post? Nevermind. Hope good stuff...

hope is amazing and very underrated
I also run hope in my current build. I really like it, but i am not sure if it really helps. I got downed in endgame using it and i escaped using it. It is one of those perks that is hard to tell if it helps you or not. There are quite a few of those. Dance with me for example. That is the perk that i really want to use, but often dont...
Edit: But these perks add to the fun of the game as not everybody runs the same meta build

Red Rank SoloQ Survivor Experience:
- Get in a looby
- 3 default clothes Claudettes join your lobby
- You check their profile and realize that they have like 70 hours.
- Dodge the lobby because you know it's not worth playing with baby Claudettes.
- Join another lobby, point 2 and 3 repeat like 5 times before you get decent survivors.
- Load in the game
- Start doing gens, notice that it's Ruin, but I continue working on it.
- I popped the gen, 3 minutes pass and we're still at 4 gens left because everybody is looking for Ruin.
- Get in a chase with the Killer, waste his time for 3-5 minutes, no gens popped because others can't deal with Ruin.
- Get hooked and reach second hook state before you actually get saved.
- DC
I think you are kind of right. But you are generalizing things a bit too much. I have these games like you mentioned. But other red rank rounds are the exact opposite experience. All 4 (probably Solos) know how to play. Everyone can at least decent loop the killer some time, nobody spends hours for ruin search, no camping a camping killer, no cleansing...
But there is could be a simple solution to that situation. There should be guidelines on how to play optimal. I know there is a thread somewhere here, as i read it when i was struggling to ge through green;). That thread should be refreshed. I know there are YT vids and all, but i think that this information is too much spread.
To be honest. I spend a lot of time with this game (twitch, forums, ingame) but sometimes the "optimal play meta" changes and i didn't get it either so i my be a burden to my team. Like healing agains the new legion. Still not sure what the current meta is and sometimes i do heal, if i have the impression that the killer can mindgame me at loops without frenzy. But if a godlike surv sees me i will end up as a potatoe in threads like this one.
oh and for the record: please don't DC. even if the match is that bad. We need to get a different mind set and just stop dcing on purpose

Sorry, didn't scroll down and the link took me to a few posts above the picture
Thx

Where did you get the stat picture from? I know there was a thread with stats, but I don't remember this particular one.
Regarding your post, I agree that "clean" stats would be cool as there was also a missunderstanding in the survival rate of rank 1 PC users.

Ok thanks
