Yeah this type of trolling is getting old and boring, come up with more creative ideas.
It's not a troll. Devs don't address gen speed, introduce boon totems which kills hexes entirely, nerf Deathslinger because he was apparently OP, Spirit gutted and not gonna see play anymore, new joke add-on for Plague, Trapper's add-on doesn't let him pick up traps, Pig's base dash untouched, Legion untouched, hatch and key is still a thing, and Pop is still at 45 seconds whilst DS is at 60 and doesn't deactivate when the killer hooks someone else. I could do on, so don't even think about calling a killer player a troll again, unless you're ready for a list of all the ways killer is the underdog.
-
Hexes were dying already. I can't believe people still use Ruin/Undying. Guess they're just high rollers who get the best totem spots and have them up all game. Everyone else has wised up and stopped using perks that can be destroyed. Now hexes are completely dead because of boon totems, because the survivor has extra incentive to look for totems. It's disappointing because Plaything was so well designed, so I thought we were entering a new era of hex perks actually being good. Now it's all over.
-
It's getting ridiculous for killers, man. It's like, do I have to bring NOED every game now? There's no point in defending gens, so why not? Just hope to tunnel someone out and get a 2nd kill from NOED. No other choice.
-
Because key escapes and hatch are still a thing when they shouldn't be.

Any way this is just something they can test,if it's to slow then they can always change it back or never implement it at all that's why they have PTBs
Yes, they can just do a test. Even though we know what the feedback is gonna be.
Bloodlust removal test? Community: "Yes! Keep this permanent, even though killers need it!"
Gen time increase test? Community: "It will never work! Killers will only camp and tunnel!"
It's survivor-sided double standards.

I have no idea what my MMR is, but I was at rank 1 long enough before the SBMM.
Again, I understand that the game is still survivor sided at the highest level of play, but it was so much worse back then, the game has come a long way since then and it's not that terrible anymore, in my opinion. The pallet distribution nerfs and healing nerf from a few years ago for example were really good. In the last few years the buffs have been less impactful in general, but killers themselves have received some big buffs, like Doctor or Leatherface.
My biggest thing is that I can't help but feel that many matches, the killer didn't even have a chance to win. Whether it's me or someone else. That if it was a low or mid tier killer, running full gen defense, making few to no mistakes in chase, they probably would still have lost no matter what they did. Sure, maybe they could have gone for a 4-man slug, but it's not healthy for the game if that's what it has to turn into every time the killer gets on the back foot, which is the case from the very start of the match a lot of the time.

Scratch Marks
Footsteps
Grass tufts
For gods sake, Otz played the Spirit with NO AUDIO and he still managed to 4k. So I don't believe you for a second that Iron Will actually matters on Spirit.
Its not easy, but its far from impossible, especially if you understand the survivor's patterns at tiles.
Wow, how many scores of attempts did that take him?

Otherwise your 4k is left up to a dice roll.
Oh no, I have dominated all game but 1 person escaped because of hatch. Anyway..
I mean seriously, what happens in that situation? Are you tied to a gaming chair and someone punches you in the face if you don't get a 4k?
I get wanting the 4k, but is it THAT important? You won the game already, there is no need to drag the thing for 40 more minutes
I don't know. Why should you escape as survivor? 2-3 of your teammates already did, so why do you need to escape so bad?
-
Because at this point the survivors have more information on her during her phase than she has on them. If you know where the killer is, there's no mindgame. It's pretty self-explanatory.
-
@botrax said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/283126/why-people-saying-spirit-cant-mindgame
Because the majority of survivor use iron will and she cant see them while the survivor know where she is. Its kinda hard to mind game something you cant see but they can see you
Can't see OR hear them if they've got Iron Will.
-
He's dead after this update. I'm not even gonna bother to play him anymore. There's no incentive.
-
It's gonna be busted with this build: Built To Last, Streetwise, commodius toolbox + both charge add-ons. I use it already, and after this buff it's gonna be insane.
-
At minimum, removal of the weird add-ons he has. Like turning your shock into a ring and crap.

cough cough, undying, cough cough.
Not the same thing. Maybe old Undying, which actually gave the survivors a second objective. But new Undying? You're just spending a perk slot on a perk that can be destroyed... to protect a perk that can be destroyed, and it only saves it once instead of the old potential four.
-
I don't know what to say anymore. Survivor complain, survivor get.
-
Imagine if killers could relight their hexes. There would be a great outcry.
-
I don't think Deathslinger or Trickster needs a lullaby. It ruins them.

Stealth is unfun for survivors and we can't have killers have unique gameplay styles that survivors find unfun.
Yes. Deathslinger with M&A was apparently OP but Doctor can do the same when using some of his add-ons. It's picking and choosing.
-
Because the game is just a survivor circus. Killers are the entertainment.
-
Keys are still unfair, because hatch is unfair. Still a free escape, even if they have to take 5 seconds. What's changed?
-
Pig used to have a 28 meter terror radius as well. I guess stealth killers aren't allowed to be stealthy.
-

It only spawns with one survivor remaining and the key can only be used after killer closes it, with a progress bar.
Not good enough. Hatch is a trash mechanic.

@Blueberry said:
Workshop Grease should literally just be a base kit change. Her ambush is trash and we shouldn't have to waste an addon slot trying to bandaid fix bad design.
The other addons are cool mostly.
Obligatory "you're just an ungrateful killer main" comment.

I disagree. I do think that at the highest level of play, the game is still somewhat survivor sided, yes. But it's not that bad anymore, and in the last few years killers have been getting generally good changes that favor them.
These changes are subpar. Do you not play killer at high MMR?

@Apollos said:

You were really mad about keys for a long time. I don't see why you'd still be bitter rn.
A solo survivor can still escape with a key, instead of taking a risk and going for the exits. Hatch also still exists, which means you still have to slug the 3rd survivor to get the 4th. Otherwise your 4k is left up to a dice roll. Why can't they just give us a fairer and more creative endgame mechanic?
-
Because he's "OP" I guess. He sees so much play at high MMR and at tournaments, clearly.
-
Don't forget the new joke add-on for Plague! Can't have any killers without those add-ons!
-
@EntitySpawn said:
So killers getting nerfed, bad/unused addons will get replaced with meme addons. Killers have more objectives (boon totems, which btw can just keep getting replaced unlike killer) and our buffs to a useless perk now applys blindness? Wow thanks, great buff!
Honestly these are the type of things that put people off killer let alone see so few variations in perks and killers themselves. Killers are players too, without them the game dies so maybe give them a reason to take that role?
Side note: at least keys got a balance change... was a simple change that could of been done awhile ago but finally!
Killer queues are already almost as fast as survivor. People are getting fed up and giving up.

Dear lord, insane how people still think BHVR only cares for one side.
And because BHVR is so survivor sided, they buffed Trapper and Plague, right? And that's also why they nerfed keys into the ground, right?
Not to mention all the other good changes that killers have gotten in the past.
They're still not even close to evening the playing field. Survivors have the advantage by far.

Medkit nerfs
Probably the strongest item in the game unless you're facing Plague.
-
They didn't want him sneaking up on people anymore, especially with M&A + his small terror radius. And yet, Doctor can do that still, and stealth killers like Pig and Ghost Face can have no terror radius at all. They just wanted to nerf Deathslinger into the ground on all fronts I guess.

They were good. Solid loopers. I just was lucky they couldn't find ruin. And it's no secret that wraith with sloppy and gen perks can stale matches for a really long. Hit and run, easy peasy
Well if you were playing hit and run well, with the right perks, I can imagine them having a hard time overcoming that. But a superior team never would have let things get to that point. Allowing themselves to get 3-genned when they're facing Wraith? No, they still had some room for improvement.
-
We all want to play killer. The thing is we're too busy defending runaway gens to do that.
-
It's just gonna be some BS changes no matter what. BHVR's track record.

I've played Pig and Plague consistently at high ranks for years. The parroted 'only 3 killers are viable' noise is just that.
It's not just noise. It's super obvious and observable.

You think the game could be balanced if survivors played in first person also or instead of killers? Survivors have a lot of leeway because of their field of view.
Killer fov should just be increased. Survivors can see killers over hay bales and stuff, but the killer can't see someone who's crouched in front of them. Shadowborn should be basekit, as an fov setting, not a perk.

It's not rocket science. I once stalled an entire team as wraith with that same build for 10 minutes and they did only 2 gens in that time. Just for fun. Then I destroyed them
They're god awful survivors if that's the case. Survivors who can't put gen pressure on any killer really do puzzle me. I'm assuming they were just getting hit, running across the map to heal, and only then did they come back to the gens. They will never win that way. They have to take risks and commit to gens while injured sometimes. Simply picking up a survivor and hooking them should give them 15+ seconds on gens at least, so what are they doing during that time if not that?

Those clicks? It is a form of morse code. They are telling us that we suck at killer and they were with our mothers last night. Very offensive stuff.
I would think the only thing that's "griefing" in this game is when a survivor sandbags their teammates or something. But flashlight clicking is definitely toxic. The in-game equivalent of "f*ck you".

It changed the cap, though. Deranking to purple or whatever didn't stop you from running into full red rank swf. Deranking to low mmr gives you lots of bad players and beginners unless you run into other derankers.
I actually did run into people who were clearly not the low mmr survivors I usually face. They were trying to bully me with head on, flash bangs, whatever. I was struggling to get my BBQ stacks, mostly because I suck at Legion and it was the swamp. All they need to do is duck in the grass and I literally lose them. My eyesight is SO bad, bruh.
But after they rushed gens and triggered end game collapse, they refused to leave. I got a 4 man entity fatality. Lol. Even when Deranking, survivors dictate what happens. Fancy that.
Survivors dictate everything in this game. They can destroy your perks, deny you of perks, rob you of hits through poor killer fov and slight wiggles, sabotage hooks, stun you over and over. It's their game to lose no matter what.

Just a quick question right now i am fine with using hag and wraith until high sbmm says no more. I know they are the viable killers at higher sbmm.
Edit: I forgot pig because pig is a proven tournament winner🤑
Edit deux: which killers would take over the mantle(if any)?
That would do it for me. I'd quit. Because it would show that killers aren't meant to be viable.

If that's the case, then the whole idea of MMR is what is ruining the game and the game devs need to take it away.
Except before, we had de-ranking. So no, MMR doesn't cause this. Smurfing happens no matter what system you use.
-
The survivors, when they've had an easy game via cracked gen speed, they feel unsatisfied because they didn't have to work for a thing. So they try to make themselves feel better by putting the killer down. They're the power role, so they're gonna milk it and bully the killer for kicks.
-
How are they griefing?
-
Yes, he still breaks his own chains. We said not to let that aspect of him go live, and he released like that anyway. The fact that the chains always spawn behind the survivors means that you almost can't hit a survivor without first breaking your chains. His power really isn't as thought out as it could have been.

All the time. It could have to do with his teleport sounding being about the same as the box sound: standard electricity.
-
It's funny because from Blight's first teaser, we all thought it was gonna be a werewolf.
-
Don't do any dulls if you're not going to do them all. Otherwise all you'll be doing is getting rid of the obvious totems and ensuring that NOED spawns in one of the really hard to find places.

What skill? B lining to the gen and chase that survivor is giga brain skill now?
The killer still has to juggle gens if he wants to use those perks well. If he just comes back to 1 gen every time Tinkerer happens, and the survivors don't push a different one, it's their fault. The killer can't be everywhere at once. That's why even 3-gens fail, because survivors actually knowing how to pressure gens causes them to win.
