Aura reading can be hidden by a locker or close the killer. So it can work. But 'sometimes' it doesn't.
BBQ like 'Friends 'til the End' will not necessarily reveal your target all the times (especially against Billy or Bubba). You need something else.
So 'such a low-skill'… it depends. I'm using 'Dead Man Switch' to counter the counter to the aura reading…Unless they use the dredge perk. the point stands.
-
It doesn't.

It takes quite a bit to reach an hour. If it's from rage quitting enough to get it that far, that player should be put on cooldown. If it's genuine connection issues then that needs to be sorted out as it harms the trials for everyone involved.
Irrespective of the reason, it's ridiculously harsh and then they reverse one stage at a time. I am not a DC'er, but I think it's a pathetic system. If it is rage quitting, it's usually other side behaviours and BHVR bears responsibility for that also. Plus there are bots, so it's an irrelevant and punitive measure.

I'm sorry but it's not possible to tell whether someone is deliberately tampering with their internet connection or genuinely has bad internet. It's an unfortunate consequence of being an online game that a solid internet is required (as stated in our game requirements). The penalty will therefore still be applied to players who disconnect from matches, that is not something that will be changed.
The timers are far too harsh and punitive. They should never be more than one hour.
-
Aura is such a low-skill way to play.

Ok. Your answer is that it is impossible for them to do the thing you want them to do. They have also given you the tools to hide your name. Feel free to use them.
Plus, it's not impossible, not by any standard. If you believe that, I would recommend you never comment, your ignorance makes you look silly.

Why is it all your posts are you being sarcastic? It's a really telling trait.
Also, I don't want to hide my name all the time, so stick that in your pipe.
And

I had that, although it also kept turning my game 'windowed' when pressing return/enter.

How would BHVR even be able to tell if someone is streaming?
That's for them to work out. Although there's many ways, ASK, change T&C to declare. Suspend accounts.
Why so cynical?
Just taking answers, not further questions.

this has been said over and over. falls on deaf ears, per usual.

event is the highest rarity in the game, you cant go further than that
Fine… at least fill it 25% rather than do nothing. Not well thought-out.

They are event items why would special item to be able to be upgraded to normal item?
Actually… are you seriously saying this perk should basically be redundant during an event? Why can it not just add 25% if no upgrade?

Why wouldn't it?

They are equivalent to green… I would think it goes to purple…

Seems to be the Masq Flash. Yellow and Green seem to be fine same map, same loadout.

I think the gens themselves are not the issue, nor even the perks. What are an issue are the toolboxes. They're easily the single most powerful thing a Survivor can bring between the sabo buff and the repair speeds, and if you put the right items on them they get even stronger. It's imperative now that Devs look at toolbox speed and ask, "when perks do only up to a 10% increase of repairs, is it fair that the right toolbox can do 50% or more in one go? Do we really need that much?"
I guarantee slower toolbox speeds would reduce the need for Killers to feel as if they have to run gen hold.
It's very easy to gen rush without a toolbox. Plus, killers have aura… so I think we're pretty much even ;)
-
It's now a nice looking very poor map.

Just pointing out your flawed bias.

I do a spread of probably 60/40 killer/survivor.
Depends on the time of day i play, but i generally avoid killer in the morning and survivor late at night. It also depends on the challenges i have going on for rifts and such as well. If i get a dual challenge i pick the side that it is easier to complete (I.E. i play killer for the "hook X survivors or safely unhook X survivors" since they can usually be completed in 1 game as a killer whereas doing that as survivor requires me to throw the match.)
Says the 'mostly' killer main

If youre not gonna be constructive dont comment. im not talking about last minute desperate kill. im talking about those who only ever tunnel the entirety of the match. noone will be mad if one dude is tunneled at the end of the match.
They always reply like that, a waste of time.
-
So many posts about this! Will they listen ?!? Mandy (I think) said she would put this forward.
-
Chains shouldn't break on environment. Chain hunt is too slow to start. Recovery on binding a survivor is too slow. Apart from that's there's some good combinations that can be setup with Ceno.

I've waited many years to see hillbilly fun again, seeing the roadmap for the next months i was scared to see billy is set to get changes. why bhvr buffed him just to nerf him couple moths later. He's the only thing keeping me playing this game. if he gets nerfed even slightly me and perhaps many billy mains will say goodbye to this game. stop butchering killers pls bhvr
Bye.
-
The more you play, the better you will get, don't worry.
And even if you get killed, try new loadouts, play in swf… have fun and don't sweat the outcome. Plus, it's fine for us all to have a little DBD rage from time to time… it's part of it :)
-
Surely better just to hide from killer? Useful for other survivors to see.
-
I didn't have any. worked perfectly PC< >PS5< >Switch.

Should be fixed now!
It is, that's great. What about the left and right arrows to cycle through the characters in loadout etc.? Also, are they going to put the cosmetics link back on the left? All these changes have made it much more difficult for basic interaction! :(
-
Where has the countdown timer gone? The same place as the back and next arrows?! Please bring these things back. The update has been so annoying.

Have you logged into both platforms? We highly recommend players boot the game on the latest version before enabling Cross-Progression, in order to facilitate the syncing process.

That's what I did and it worked instantly, perfectly.
That would be hassle though, if you sold your previous device!

I'm sorry, do you think there will not be a conflict? And we will be able to be on at the same time?
You won't be able to use both at the same time if linked. You could still have your home account on a second PS5 for example and play on a second account, the DLC will still be useable that way. I'm not sure if other consoles work that way.

For the time being. They did specifically state in the live stream that they would add more killers in future iterations.
I guess that's if they return it at all… not seen any of the other modifiers return (tbf… yet)
-
I would think not as it will look to BHVR for your player ID instead of being platform specific.

@Dreamnomad said:
I don't know. I kind of disagree. Beyond potential balance issues (who wants to play against 2 nurses?), it also just doesn't make sense. There is only one Michael Myers. There is only one Freddy Krueger. Even all the unlicensed killers have their own name and lore. I think an argument could be made for multiple Legions or Xenomorphs. But for basically all other killers it doesn't make sense.
Other than nurse, no others you mention are in 2v8?!
-
Hopefully that won't matter as the link will be ascertained through the BHVR portal. I assume you know to do this through the BHVR website?
Bearing in mind it isn't 'live' … yet.
-
Zero sense… it was fine as-was. Perhaps it was an oversight/accident. There's quite a few issues with this update.

She also has an outrageous hitbox. Can we fix that or call it quits on this one? lol
-
Only joking…. the 8 hit gen mechanic breaks the 3 gen situation. Try not to hit the gens too early or bring gen countering perks.
More importantly… it's just one bad round, just try and enjoy the good aspects… there are plenty :)

It makes it more difficult to find the issue tho.
Would be probably fine to put some warning display if you select that killer and want to queue into the match....
I am an epileptic btw.
A sensible answer… but my point was more about a bit of kindness than just the usual 'that's your problem'.
Your point is good though, actually get those affected by such issues involved.

You don't need an absolute proof to shut down something potentially life threatening immediately.
Videogaming has always been an "at your own risk" scenario for people with photosensitive epilepsy and DbD comes with a warning saying as much.
How about a little kindness to those it actually would affect. Imagine it was your little sister or brother, would you perpetuate the whole 'it's on you' nonsense?
Personally, I would prefer they just cautiously kill switch him momentarily rather than a fellow player have a seizure.
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:
Can't really think of any modifier I would want less, but so long as it's a separate queue I guess I can just ignore it.
Modifier… optional… Short term…. Just a bit of retro fun
-
Agreed, no rewards… just nostalgia and a bit of fun… and it's an optional time limited modifier… so people can experience the good, bad and ugly :)
