I ain't gotta love game mechanics to agree that they are fine. I HATE getting camped at endgame and I will be talking crap but in the end I know that I cant blame the person and it was the right strat. I dont got to like or favor anything to agree or disagree

    ๐Ÿ˜‘

"So I love how people complain about hatch."

"I love how just because a game goes in your favor you NEED that 4k."

"I dont got to like or favor anything to agree or disagree"

    ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜

    K.

Well, you just keep doing your survivor main "I'm right and that's definitely right and it doesn't matter about my logic" thing buddy, seems to be working for ya ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™

  • I'm not bothering to read through 3 pages of whining and cringe arguments; I had some ttv bad word get their buddy to switch survivors to one with a key at loading screen so I didn't spot it so then 3 survivors got to hatch exit with 2 gens left because they couldn't outplay me. Is this the thread to moan about that in? OH MAHN BUT I CAN MOVE SLIGHTLY FASTER THAN SURVIVORS SO I SHOULD'VE SEEN THE HATCH AND PLAYED BETTER! DERP DERP DERP

So I love how people complain about hatch. Its a mechanic with a good use. "It rewards bad survivors." Ok so what if there is a 3 man swf who dc and one solo? Oh so you dont care about that person? And they gotta care about you. Hypocrisy. If it comes down to a hatch game, chances are you have enough points, deal with it. I love how just because a game goes in your favor you NEED that 4k.

You move faster so you have a higher chance of finding it. And you have hatch priority so that's a added bonus. And lets not forget if two survs are left and the hatch spawns just find it chances are they arent gonna rush that gen with 2 people. You complain for not getting the max points you can when hatch games usually result in 10k less points for surv than you and if you think survs are entitled because they don't want tunnelers And campers imagine wanting a 4k no matter what happens.

You have a choice to find it and when they get it you complain. Ik this isnt everyone but seriously everyone who does complain wants 4k that's selfish all they care about is their game and not the others. So keep in mind its a mechanic for a reason and has been balanced to soothe killers feelings. And most of the time you don't escape through the hatch, not everyone is monto and they say oh the doors spawn soooo far away. Then why do the doors always spawn 40 meters from each other when im the last one left?! If the doors are so survivor sided why is it so easy to kill the last person when the hatch is closed?!

Do you actually love it tho?

  • As a pedant sentences like "During this entire time, he has not left the vicinity of the shack for the entire match." just help erode any attempt at making a valid point-the entire time of the entire match? I CBF'd arguing all the points individually but the whole thing reads like a tween fan of Scot Jund trying to sound like a big boy and 44 dummies liked it because they assumed it's the real Scot doing a bad critique of Tru3.

  • ๐Ÿ˜ง I've had 3 days of post work 4 hour sessions where it was 95% bad/frustrating/not enjoyable games and it's started to feel like the game is a complete waste of time and it turns you into a toxic "I'm smarter than you" butthead...this thread makes it seem like talking about the game is a waste of time too and reiterates the toxic smartassery....thanks heaps OP ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Ok, so you lost some points. If I assume the Claudette was already on the hook and David was hooked at least once, plus the points that you get from them DC'ing, then you lose about 675 of the tons of other points that you get from other things in the game. You were not cheated out of points. SWF is also allowed in the game. A better word to use for describing their actions would be 'underhanded'.

If you need more, here is a link to a wiki that someone very dedicated to the game has made listing every single score event for survivor and killer that is possible.

    https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Score_Events

I've had multiple games where survivors DC'd when I was trying to do that "Kill all 4 survivors" challenge in one of the tomes. One game with an ebony mori I had two DC. Maybe "there's a button" but feels like I got cheated out of 60k bp ๐Ÿ˜‘

  • ๐Ÿ˜… that guy bootlicking while also using "I played Leatherface a lot and it put me with harder players" when everyone knows Leatherface got overbuffed and is the OP "gg ez" killer to get easy 4ks with against lower skilled survivors ๐Ÿ˜…....good lols, now back to the teeth pulling pain of PS4 MMR.

  • ๐Ÿ˜‚ I can't stop derisively loling at the dudes posting that Otz isn't "a real rank 1" or "only plays 3 hours a day" or saying he changes killers too often and hasn't played the same killer at least ten times by now. Not worth arguing with anyone that makes these hilariously wrong statements ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ‘

I usually sent gg <3 on ps4, and complimented their playstyle, I'm a killer main and I know that sometimes it's harsh but I love that people keep playing and getting better and better just because they got complimented once, I hope that people understand the other side better so toxicity would decrease and people could enjoy the game more.

๐Ÿ˜• err, y'know that the toxic teabagging survivors (usually also red rank SWFs) on PS4 regularly send either "gg" or "wp" etc messages to killers post game as trolling bait to be extra toxic right? It's like this boring trolling script they just parot for lulz that starts out seeming nice then they go ultra toxic if you respond or make fun of you if you say "thanks gg to you too" etc in response.

The added problem is if you call them out they'll pretend they aren't being a toxic troll (because every good troll pretends their not trolling for as long as possible) so you're stuck being unsure. Other day a team of red rank SWFs going clicky clicky, teabagging, trying to bully entire match etc and I didn't camp or tunnel them so all 4 escaped and one hits me up with a "gg" and I was like "Lol, gotta follow that script huh?" and they were "yeah lol" so I told them I wasn't gonna take the bait but I'd make sure I mori'd or facecamp them if I saw them again and they were all "I'm confused?" pfffft.

Fellow survivors can also be toxic to each other post game on PS4.

  • On my way home now; game was okay (apart from MMR problems) yesterday for me apart from that regular "can't change to killer from survivor menu so havento quit the game and reload" problem and then a wait time for killer so long I just quit playing. Did have sone troubles with trying to get SWF going a few days ago and 2 of the folks in the SWF group said they'd had the game crash a few times.

Does anyone else feel the hitboxes have gotten bigger since update? I keep getting in spots where it looks like I've vaulted a pallet and my Lithe kicks in but then killer takes a swing and somehow hits me over the pallet.

  • ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ is the OP sarcasm, irony or absurdism? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ The PS4 MMR is just an awful test of "how many mismatched bad games can you take?"

  • @TheMonadoBoi said:

Bruh, are you really that desperate you had to come complain here for FIVE MINUTES of penalty?

It's stopping dozens of DCs but you can't wait FIVE minutes because of an in game error?

Y'all fully looking ilke ๐Ÿคก sometimes.

๐Ÿ˜… the logic of your statement: it's not worth complaining about but it's a good deterrent to DCing ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • ๐Ÿ˜• there certainly have been a lot of days recently when for the entire multi hour session at the end of each trial where it says "Did you have fun?" it was 1 out of 5 rating ๐Ÿ˜

  • Ash so you can be edgey tho ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  • I thought it was probably something like that but I had an Ace challenge last night so was trialing it and a couple of times actually said "Oh, a gen right here-that's lucky" or "Wow, Ruin hex right there, what good luck!" etc so had started to convince myself I was moderately more lucky while using Up The Ante ๐Ÿ˜†

  • And what about "Luck"? I'm damned if I can work out if a purple Up The Ante actually does anything ๐Ÿ˜•

  • ๐Ÿ˜‘ I've never faced that perk combo before so would've been as confused as the guy in video at first but after the third time it happened he should've changed his play style and treated it like BT.

There's also a few points before the video is 5 minutes in where he downs a survivor and leaves them to keep chasing someone else-pretty sure he had two downed at once at one point-personally, if I feel I'm getting outplayed by a SWF I'll try and hook ASAP if I've got one or two downed and another one injured. SWFs are gonna waste genrushing time unhooking and even if they're only hooked briefly they're getting nervous after the second time they're hooked.

Those survivors threw away pallets way too early too tho..

  • I got Huntress not long ago; got completely bizarrely lucky and got a 4k first game and I think one 2k and then it all went downhill and I got severely, embarrassing outplayed each game after that and just gave up playing her. I haven't played Nurse in over a year because I just can't seem to work her out. If there's a chance the new MMR let's me play other killers I can't play at the moment I guess I can try and get used to not spending bp on a killer I'm trying to prestige up while waiting for a game ๐Ÿ˜‘.

In regard to the Wraith/Hag vs multiple flashlights squad:

I'm wondering if certain "non meta" perks might become more popular or even get buffed? I've only tried it a few times I had some small success using Overwhelming Presence against a flashlight squad; "clicky clicky clicky, whoopsy no more battery, oh no!"

  • I agree with most other posters here but especially Pryzm.

I'd just say: watch lots of Otz videos (I watch em while queuing).

I used to be a Trapper main but probably play Doc more lately. I used to be getting 4ks regularly with ol' Chuckles but when I prestiged him I got a different set of perks and I've been losing more often so probably shouldn't give advice.

That said..to the issue of early survivor chase-not ideal but doable if you don't waste too much time and you can pick up traps on the way. If you waste too much time and they pop some central map gens you're gonna have a bad time tho.

You are going to get screwed with by red ranks SWFs-I've had traps that were tarred that I could barely see to pick up sitting setup well hidden in grass get disarmed by trolling red ranks-try not to get too butthurt about it and occasionally they'll get cocky and complacent and even run into two obvious traps in front of the open gates.

Being the obsession only extends its near infinite range by 8 meters.

Nearly every single logical downside you'd expect OoO to have(Like the survivor and killer needing to look at each other for the survivor to see the killer's aura) is absent.

    Cheers for the info ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™

In one of those weird coincidence type things I've only run OoO when solo queuing and I guess none of the other randoms I'd played with had it because I'd be Obsession with OoO so I thought that's how it worked.

  • ๐Ÿ˜• I'm confused; farming what? If it's points farming in OP's example, well the killer only got 17k bp and I'm sure I've gotten scores in the low 20k zone with 0 kills before. Farming some specific action for a challenge? Again, I've focused on hitting challenges and still got more bp. Shards farming? That's just 10 minutes of game time and unless you AFK for it you can still kick some gens and scare a few survivors for over 17k bp ๐Ÿ˜

  • ๐Ÿ˜• I thought OoO only worked for one survivor per trial tho?

  • ๐Ÿ˜• "stealth is boring because it's repetitive"? Orly? Some Loopmaster that's memorized every loop location doing what looks like an exact repeat of Noob3's videos isn't repetitive?

The main problem I have with looping are these sweaty red rank SWF teams that elect one (or two) looping pro members to just goad the killer into running around in boring unwinnable loops while the others gen rush. With the loop pros I'll just get this "######### am I doing? This isn't even remotely fun" moment and kinda just give up on the game.

More killers should just AFK or DC when the game's not any fun.

  • ๐Ÿ˜’ I'm in PS4; played as a rank 12 killer tonight trying out Huntress- who I've played 4 times before-for a challenge and got matched against a 4 SWF Ranked 1, 3,3,5... boy it was fun! As was the next game where it was 3 reds and a purple. Yay matchmaking ๐Ÿ˜‘

  • ๐Ÿ˜• in F13 the game is just set to end in 20 mins, if killer doesn't kill in that time it counts as a survivor escape-maybe should be the opposite in DbD.

I've had some past matches with Trapper where it took 45 minutes to kill the ladt two; so boring and not worth the bp or shards wasted.

  • I think if there's a "Console vs Console" version that'd be fine. It is weird watching streamers play DbD on PC and then jump on PS4 version and get confused why there's so many little differences.

  • LOL, I literally just got hook grabbed by a Hag running Rusty Shackles so I had no idea she was behind me when she hook grabbed. She'd killed one and the last guy screwed up my unhooking or latency got him cuz I died on first hooking from that dang hook grab ayyy. I was flabbergasted because I hadn't seen a hook grab in so long. Flabbergasted I tells ya!

  • I dumbly thought it did make the lullaby song in game for other killers which is why I bought it off the shrine: I figured it'd be confusing to hear the lullaby and then "Boogity-boo its actually me The Doctor, you goofballs! Go crazier!"

  • Is Hellraiser too obvious?

    Killer: Pinhead

Survivor: Phillip Merchant (I liked Bloodlines the best)

    Map: that derelict space ship

  • I'm on PS4 and got game the same way as OP, took a break for at least 6 months until recently so Deathslinger and P.Head were new to me and I felt similar to OP, "Oh, these are just overpowered pay to win killers obviously" but that was mostly because the first half dozen encounters with P.Head or Deathslinger they were well practiced killers. I've since played against baby killer versions of both and it's kinda just sad how they'll get outplayed especially P.Head.

Like with many killers it can all come down to how useful/helpful your team mates are.

  • ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™ thanks for clearing that up guys.

1.I thought controller sensitivity was different to camera sensitivity because there's certain games where there's both options. Either way upping camera sensitivity seemed to help when I tried it ๐Ÿ‘

2.Good to know; I was trying to work out the "most economical" way up the bloodweb and wasn't sure if I was making bad assumptions . I've been trying to use all the bonus bp from "The Time of Many Cakes" to prestige up a few of my characters but then I get stuck at level 50 with cakes still to use up but not all the perks I'd prefer ie my trapper has 27 cakes and bunch of other useful sacrifices but somehow not Whispers which I'd prefer. Sure, I can just keep buying at level 50 but it's kinda wasted bp if I'm trying to prestige that character anyway is my logic. For anyone curious reading, about 400k bp seems enough to prestige and go from 0 to level 20, I think.

3.I've played Paladins and Cuisine Royale a fair bit so got used to their versions of VGS, I guess. It's hard to say what gamers will use to taunt; Paladins quietly removed the "Great job!" VGS because it was kinda used to taunt team mates (people just use "You rock!", "Cancel that!" instead now).

  • Thanks for the reply dude. The video shows PC settings tho and PS4 has "Camera Sensitivity" instead of "Controller sensitivity" like in the video shown-I kinda assume they're different things but could be wrong ๐Ÿ˜‘.

  • I genuinely shrieked out loud (in a manly way obvs) the other day when a Screamface with no terror radius was almost on top of me before I saw him while working on a gen.

Michael creeps me out often and when Demo is chasing you snorting away it's a bit nerve racking.

On the killer side....Steves, goddang Steves been getting me butthurt recently so he's dumb face kinda triggers me now ๐Ÿ˜

  • ๐Ÿ˜’ the guy saying there's not many SWF players mustn't play killer much.

I'll admit one of the reasons I currently hate DS is because I can't seem to ever do it when I play survivor. I dunno if it's a PS4 bug but I'm not useless at hitting difficult skill checks usually and it looks like I've got it with DS a few times but it just never seems to register properly for me.

Other than that a SWF team running DS and BT and doing a "2 of us take turns being a martyr and trolling killer while other 2 genrush" is just a drag to play against. The unhooked survivor body blocking you trying to chase someone else because of BT is a drag. Survivors having access to perks that mean they don't have to worry about playing sloppy or even fearing the killer at all is a friggin draaaaag.

  • I play on PS4 in Australia in the after midnight hours and towards the end of my "oh ######### I've stayed up too late playing this again" session it seems like in whatever other timezone it's time for all the red and purple rank SWFs to come out. I only re-downloaded DbD a few weeks ago so only rank 13 killer and trying to have "one last good game" when you're against high ranked SWFs coordinating, splitting focus, multi torch blinding and tripple body blocking when you try and hook just leaves a nasty taste in the mouth. Some of these guys have some RainMan level memory of pallet locations and looping spots.

And how are you not being a toxic douche if you're a rank 1 and it's obvious you and your pals on mics have ganged on and outplayed the killer but you still gotta 99 the gate, then run the killer about and time it so you hit the gate and out with a quick teabag when the killer tries one last attempt at a chase? "Ha ha, one last humiliation just to rub it in your face that me and the other 3 are red ranks!"

Unless there's multiple cakes involved you're only losing maybe 20k bp so why no just disconnect since you're gonna lose a pip anyway?

  • ๐Ÿ˜• The Demogorgon prayed on kids younger than Freddie didn't it? I haven't seen Freddy movies in a while but I remember them being in senior high school while in Stranger Things they were much younger. [I must be one of a small minority that doesn't know much about FNAF so I don't get the fuss about the dead rabbit guy]

  • ๐Ÿ˜‚ these dudes posting bs about "there aren't that many SWF teams" and "I barely ever lose you just need to get gud" type stuff are pretty funny. If their opinions are even remotely based on the truth they're referring to a certain time of day on a certain system/platform: you can't blag on like an expert if every game you play is on PC between 5pm-7pm because you've got NFI about games on PS4 at 3am or games on Switch at midday or games on Xbox at 10pm.

I play PS4 post midnight and the PS4 community board is always filling up with people looking for SWF co-horts to team with. Sure it's not every game but when you start getting multiple games where the survivors are regularly doing split focus genrushing, martyring themselves to get hooked to waste your time and otherwise obviously co-ordinating their game play it's just not that fun to play. The galling part is the fukers act like they're amazing at the game and outplayed you when they coordinated on mic but they're actual playing style is dumb as ######### and they'd never get to the rank they're at without playing SWF. I've seen obvious SWF use multi cakes and still gen rush hard and not even try get chase points off me before they're out the gate for a 6 minute trial.

I still play as killer because there can be good fun games and every now and then you can ######### with an arrogant sweat survivor that gets complacent: other night I sacrificed a YouTuber who was teanagging in the open gate and had been an annoying prick in games I'd played with them so sacrificing them felt nice...same dude flashlight trolled me and wasted my time looping next game while team gen rushed and my ebony mori was unused though ๐Ÿ˜ก.

  • ๐Ÿ˜’ yeah, strongly disagree with OP; any green or red SWF on mics that have half a brain will split up and gen rush in pairs or otherwise coordinate to frustrate the crap outa you as a killer. I try and be "honorable" and not camp at all if possible as killer but I'll often regret it when it gets obvious they're decent ranks SWF and the jabroni you hooked twice and didn't camp stands there teabagging in the open gateway ๐Ÿ˜‘..

Plus that new "jump out the locker" perk is annoying af.
