Archael, you're wrong. Multiple people have tried to correct you. Protecting a 3-gen isn't holding the game hostage, and it 1000% isn't bannable. Report those killers all you want, there's only one person here crying about it
-
At the very least, hook grabs shouldn't exist. If you got to the hook without being detected or injured, you've earned the trade.
"Stand offs" aren't fun, ever.

i feel bad
Yes, we can tell
-
You can just 99 your Sprint Burst!
Sure, but the point is: OP's original claim of "no downsides" was bullshit
-
We wouldn't have to guess if they would be more transparent with the kill rates and such.
Remember when they said they were going to do that? And we haven't heard anything in 6 months? Good times
-
In the early game, survivors should be spread out working on separate gens. If the killer wants to down someone and then, instead of hooking them, trek all the way across the map to find/chase a 2nd survivor, leaving the downed one to be picked up by someone else (or, at best, losing track of their location), then great! Thank you!
As a survivor, if you're making that strategy successful, that's on you.

Yes, I main survivor

The game really shouldn't give Survivors more information than the Killer.
The game is responding to the fact that Discord already gave them that info. It wasn't BHVR that did that.

FOV is one of tools survivors have to get away from killer.
What will be next? Remove windows a d pallets, because otherwise I can't catch survivor quick enough?
I don't think changing the FOV will lead to them removing windows and pallets.
Every time this is suggested, the people against it come up with dumb slippery-slope BS like this. They don't have any actual concrete objections to it. If they did, they'd share it without having to be shamed for their stupidity, first.
They believe BHVR will remove pallets. Think about who we're arguing against

You don’t hold it. You have to just press it.
Ok, but does YOUR method work sometimes and sometimes it doesn't? HMMM?????

Since BHVR is working to remove sluging with basekit ubreakable and basekit mori for killer, would it be possible the next quality of life change is going to be camping
Since BHVR is working on those things, I would imagine the next QOL change is going to be... you know... those things.
It's possible they will jump over those changes in favor of something else, but we don't really have any info as to what that would be. It's not like the code for basekit unbreakable is RIGHT NEXT to the code for camping, and they'll fix it real quick while they have the file open
@danielmaster87 said:
Go ahead. Then all that's left for killer is going for random chases, no strategy, and hoping the survivors play bad and let them win.
Does it often feel random and strategy-less when you chase? Because I have a suggestion to improve that, if you're interested
-
I would never use this in Solo Q, where you can't share the info with anyone. It's fine to know where to go, but when the killer shows up, you're kinda screwed without that Spine Chill or Dead Hard or whatever you gave up to make room for Deja Vu
In a SWF, I still wouldn't use it, since you have 4x the searching power + instant info sharing already. Do you ever really have a game where NONE of the 4 of you can find a single gen?
-
You didn't technically say PERMANENT ban, so I'm right. Oh, and sorry about the racial slurs or whatever

Regrets? I've had a few.
But then again... I've never regretted how I voted in a Christmas-themed videogame poll

>ruining the world. literally
My mom said videogames would destroy the world too
-
I watched "Terrifier" last night, and I think Art would make a good killer. Not sure what his power would be
-
Rest assured, BHVR is hard at work looking for more ways to increase the kill rate. We don't need to help them find things.
-
I don't disagree, but seeing the perks in real time would be too much of a liability for them to go that route.
I'd like to see a "Match History" from the main menu, so I can look at the results of my last X matches. That lets us solo-Q players have that info without compromising the match itself.
It's weird that DBD is the ONE game that doesn't have, like, any stats page at all.
-
Even if that were true, who is going to report you? The survivors you just gave tens of thousands of BP to?
-
Sweet, thank you. I may need pallet stuns for a challenge, so if I do the "Come this way" gesture, I need you to stand in the hitbox

I wish they'd never released that information. Nobody apparently read any of the caveats attached to it, that just saw a number and never stopped clutching their pearls since.
Maybe BHVR-senpai will notice you if you memorize enough of their corporate propaganda

>survivor sided game
If your complaint happens often enough for you to get salty about it, then maybe you have to admit that 61% is more than enough for your side?
Or, no, I'm sorry. Go on about how it's SO HARD when you're winning

No Camping is still strong cause Survivors do not rush Gens when a person is camped,
Instead, Survivors crouch near the face camped hoping to get the unhook, or run straight there and get downed too.
Had a bubba this weekend who camped his first hook. The rest of us (with Reassurance and Prove Thyself) finished the gens and let him have his 1k.

PLEASE please keep posting these. All of you. They are hilarious
-
They'll probably undo the change if enough people cry like infants about having their binky taken away
-
They should really balance killer to be a 70% win rate, NO WAIT, 80!
-
>Of course there are scenarios where it makes sense, such as the killer is clearly distracted and un-hooker has We'll Make It.
You're complaining that solo q players don't know when the killer is distracted or what perks his teammates have?
Because you know that lack of info isn't their fault, right?
You remember that, right?
-
>What's wrong with solo Q
You are ADORABLE
-
>trying to protect that 3 gen is still work
So much so that you can only accomplish it 65% of the time!
-
While it's a great idea, BHVR seems to be struggling to keep matchmaking incentives going with only a single MMR that represents all your killers. I don't think making it more granular is going to net good results, unfortunately.
-
>tells you all you need to know
Was this copy/pasted from the wikipedia entry on Confirmation Bias?
-
>Record if possible, and Report them after leaving the match.
This makes it sound like the "recording" part is optional, which it is absolutely not. In fact, if you're going to bring it up, I'd probably put it way earlier in the process (since, if you've gotten to this line and HAVEN'T done it yet, you're already screwed).
Rule 0: Set your PC up to record matches, or else you will have 0 recourse if you encounter a hacker, which we will get to later.
-
Can you take a thread that gives away 300k+ BP and make it even better?
>Butt Scratches!!!!!
Yes
-
>Just allow us to unclick the last node purchase
But then you'd get to the see what The Entity is going to do next, so you could abuse that to get whatever items you want.
I'm fine with that, if BHVR is, but I doubt they will be. I'd also be ok with, "If you misclick... sucks for you."
-
>How is an item that can stop a survivor being hooked bad?
I suck at killer, and even I find it insanely easy to avoid flashlight saves. 99% of the time, you can just face the nearest obstacle and go for the pickup.
-
>prepare to be final person standing
Hey, I came up with a bunch of builds that wind up the same way. Do you guys want to see those, too?
Guys?

I estimate we'll all be enjoying double xp next time we log in

>just tell your team
Which gesture should I use?
-
>Game is already over. I ended up w a 3k
I'm not saying what you described isn't frustrating, but if I was going to pop a quick anecdote into my post, I'd probably pick one that supported my argument better... maybe even one that rose to the level of "at all"
Like, we've all camped to secure a 1k. Just say that.
"Ended with a 3k" unbelievable

I don't have that kind of information, I'm afraid.
We have to wait for an official announcement.
Do you have an estimate on when you're going to be told about the announcement?
Or do you have an estimate on when you'll be better able to judge when you can make that guess?
Or
-
>Cause this thread is starting to spread misinformation.
It doesn't help that there are three different sets of rules: what the game lets you do, what the rules say you can do, and what the people wielding the ban-hammer will let you get away with.
I hate misinformation, too, but BHVR isn't making it easy to tell what the truth is.
