  • I just want cross progression so when I go on pc for ptb my rank, character perks, etc. are there from ps4.

Well, my idea was: hide moris, shrouds and map offerings. This is gonna be nice imo

I figured the more hidden the more mystery there is.

What the heck? So people get penalties for errors, loss of internet and all sorts but when you DC in the loading screen you get nothing?? Do the devs know this?!

And damn, that sucks.. But that's why I support this idea. Although @OniWantsYourMacaroni makes a great point, I'm pretty confident people would still DC when they see the Hidden offering, balanced Mori's or not.

The map thing isn't necessary tho IMO. I've never really seen any matches cancelled for taking us to a certain match.. Maybe a DC once we arrive, but at least they'll get a punishment for doing that. But, tbf its rare I see someone bring a map offering anyway

I think it's because the match cancels so there's nothing to lose, just have to go wait in queue again.

They could balance the game perfectly and people would still find fault with it. They'll get more information from people playing than avoiding to make changes too.

Figure if they do all there's no offering being singled out giving away what the other players used. BPS and the special occasion ones being exception because it let's everyone know they can get extra BP - but if they hid those too I'd be fine because BPS is always a jinx when I'm survivor.

  • @OniWantsYourMacaroni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/155090/hide-all-offerings-except-for-bps

No,i would rather see the devs properly balance maps and moris so players don't feel forced to DC in order to avoid an extremely unfun match.

Maps it looks like they are trying to balance, taking small steps but atleast they're doing something. Moris I'd love for them to adjust but I'm extremely doubtful they will.

They get way more information from people actually playing the game than people avoiding matches. If they hid the offerings then more people will play the matches and they'll get more information to be able to make changes.

  • @MiniPisa said:

Kind of agree with this. I've never known someone to DC because of offerings (especially not with the penalty) but I can believe it.

The whole "hidden offering" thing is pretty redundant. Its so rare that it's not a mori that the symbol for the hidden offering might as well say "MORI ALERT"

So, yeah, they might as well make "hidden offerings" actually invisible.

You don't get the penalty if it's during the loading screen, only once match starts. People in FB groups tested the penalty when it first started and found as long as the match hasn't loaded in you won't get a penalty for leaving. I've had 3 matches today already where a player dropped out during loading, all ebony moris.

I started thinking that maybe they couldnt hear the oinking? Ive never been surv in that situation so idk.

They can hear the oinking. I've been lucky to boop 2 snoots and they did the oinking after the boop and whenever they came back around to check on me if I was working a gen. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yes! I tried that with the pig, they dont get it with her ๐Ÿ˜‚

You'd think the repetitive oinking and making no move to injure/chase would be a big enough hint to boop. I die trying to boop pig snoots when I'm survivor, I wish I'd get ones freely offering up the boop. ๐Ÿ˜‚

When Iโ€™m not my Claudette main Iโ€™m My doctor main and like shocking them at the gates๐Ÿ˜€.

I don't know why but I get more enjoyment from shocking people than hitting them as the Doctor. It's like when I'm the Trapper I just enjoy catching them in the traps. They can free themselves, I don't care, I'm just happy they walked into them. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Santa Clause they catch on pretty quick too. Wraith too if you follow them just slamming your bell ๐Ÿ˜‚

There's been a few times they've caught on when I'm the Doctor just shocking everyone or Mikey just stalking and not making move at tier 3. I tried going around oinking as the pig trying to get people to boop the snoot but everyone just runs away, 0 trust for the pig. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sometimes I dress as santa claus with clown and do the same thing. Ive seen people dc before, rarely but it happens, this is the first time someone got mad

Only time I've had people DC is when I haven't used Ghostface and they DC because they don't like the killer so they would've DC no matter what. My go to is Ghostface because with the others people don't catch on as easily if at all. Not sure what it is about Ghostface, maybe it's the ability to teabag, but they catch on and trust I want to mess around pretty much immediately.

Thats what Im saying! Look I totally get sometimes people just want to play the game, thats fair, but we were just messing around she could have broke free from my grasp and went back to the gen if she wanted ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I always let them break free - helps them understand I'm just messing around. Usually ones that want to farm will go stand under a hook for me to get some hooks in. Tbh I'm fine just slashing, chasing, marking. Hooks are bonus but not necessary. I'm getting more points anyway even without the hooks than I was as survivor being camped/mori'd. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • I can't imagine reporting a killer for not trying to kill me and just having a laid back round. I go in as Ghostface all the time and just hop around the map letting the survivors farm with me if they want. Sometimes after playing survivor and having multiple matches against campers and moris just want to play some laid back matches for points.

  • I got it with randoms during the tome when escape using key was a challenge. Lucked out that hatch was in front of open door while I was being chased. I'd gotten some distance after dropping shack pallet, they opened hatch as I neared and we all escaped.

  • Borderlands 3. Otherwise making way through single player games that don't require being online.

Used to play Destiny 2 alot but their servers got terrible after they split with Activision and I hated the choices they keep making with gameplay.

  • Just back up from hook so your terror radius won't reach it and BT won't activate.

  • This keeps being posted in here for people on console and pc, really hope it's fixed in patch soon.

I actually think PS4 que times have improved the last 2 months or so.

Can confirm wait times not bad on PS4, it just depends on time of day for the side you're playing. In morning/afternoon survivor is quick and is killer long, at night it switches but longest I've waited for either is 10 minutes - I just switch to whichever is short wait.

  • -Survivors leaving you on first hook when you're running Kindred - they see the killer isn't nearby as well as other survivors auras not making a move.

-Survivors sandbag way more often in red ranks, as solo survivor makes red ranks not enjoyable to play with.

-Killers/survivors in red ranks trying to see who can make the match last the shortest amount of time so it's low scoring on both sides.

  • I don't think I'd use "boring" to describe a killer, would use "disappointing". Like when I play a pig and she just tunnels people with traps on and 3 hooking them before they can even attempt to remove it, disappointing because I've seen ones apply amazing pressure with the traps and it adds a level of suspense to the match. Or someone plays Mikey but they don't even bother to play him as stalker, just quickly kill everyone - it's disappointing because he's my favorite and I've played ones that do amazing at making you feel nervous about him being around corners the entire match. When I play a Trapper and he doesn't use traps or a Demogorgon doesn't use portals - disappointed because they aren't using their powers that make you pay attention to your surroundings, just move freely around map without watching your step.

  • Depends on situation but I have no problem blaming my own play (since usually it's mistake I made) or the play of other survivors instead of the killer. I only blame killer if they tunnel me off hook and mori me at start of match or camp me (before dedicated servers lagswitch was also a reason) because aside from "don't get caught" can't do anything about those.

No matter what the reason though I don't message people complaining. Think that's the ultimate issue, people being sore winners/losers and finding the need to just make others feel like crap or complain after the match in messages/end game chat. Just get over it and move onto the next match.

  • If doing 50 do couple rounds with each killer you have. Think it'd be interesting to see how they compare to eachother that way.

  • There will be people that save a sick person while another sick one is hooked, they'll immediately cleanse the little sick they have, go save the other sick person and cleanse immediately again. I think they just like giving the plague power.

  • I rarely see Oni on PS4. If anything he needs something to encourage people to play him, not a nerf.

in Nerf Oni Comment by bm33
  • I wish survivor names would be hidden until end game scoreboard. On PS4 I'll go against the same killer in back to back matches, they'll tunnel/camp me if I prevented them from 4k in previous match. No toxicity, just only one to escape. :/

  • I love killers that are able to do that. They tend to be the ones that don't camp/tunnel, hook everyone 3 times, and it's decent long match. That killer more than earned that 4k, especially when they had 0 help from perks/addons.

  • When he aims at you there's a ringing sound as he's aiming, if it stops you're out if his line of site/reach. I wish I had that much information against Huntress hatchets. I love going against him. One killer you can fight back against when they hit you rather than just relying on dodging hits.

  • I think she can be a great killer but I notice most times when I go against her she just tunnels a survivor she's put a trap on rather than apply pressure to the other survivors - seems like waste of a trap and more often than not I see her only get a 1k, maybe 2k. Feel like many don't use her to her full potential making her not as difficult to go against. The ones that use the traps well to apply pressure tend to be pretty brutal to go against.

  • If I have a killer that's just slugging or tunneling people off first hook to mori for 4k when no one has been toxic - the killer is just upset from previous match or just wants 4k - I hope one of my teammates is able to escape to prevent the 4k.

If I have a teammate that's basically the mvp of the match I want them to be able to escape because they deserve it.

If I'm killer and I see someone that's doing all the work but their team was potatoes I want them to have way to escape because it sucks they got matched with crap - they deserve the extra hatch points too.

Removing hatch (or anything else) because you're upset with end game chat is not a good reason - just ignore the chat and move onto the next round. Removing hatch (or anything else) for things that are "not common" and "doesn't happen often" are not good reasons.

I play for escapes and am primarily a stealth player, but even I think this is a bad way to play. You're much more likely to escape if you actually contribute. It's like in a society: the society is more likely to do well if everyone contributes toward the same goal than if everyone's just looking out for themselves.

Yeah, it's definitely not a smart strategy by any means. Just saying the probable reasoning behind it is similar to camping. My nephew used to have that mentality when playing swf with my brother and me, we had to spend alot of time explaining why it was such a bad strategy. Still does it on occasion because he'll fall into the "my fam will work and I'll hide until I can escape" mentality. Think my brother getting out of low ranks into green/purple helped push him out of it because now he goes against higher rank killers that target the stealth players. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • @Gomolazoli said:

The problem is escaping is worthless. You can hide all game and sandbag your team with it so the gens wonโ€™t go and you get the hatch with left behind. And then guess what? Wellcome to deppip town. I can do half the gens alone, half the unhooks, escape and then still blackpip at red ranks. Thanks no. If I see my teammates doing this I rather DC.

I think it's similar to killers camping in that they don't care about the points/pip just the kill(s) - survivor only cares about the escape. For someone that wants the pips/points it's a dumb strategy, for someone that thinks win is just escaping its worth it.

  • Creator said his new TV show is supposed to be more horror like the first couple movies, hopefully it'll make people see him as a viable option for killer. I'd love to have Chucky in the game. I'd mentioned the dolls as crows to someone on Twitter, in addition to being disturbed though could allow him to travel between them if disturbed. With voodoo you have quite a bit you could do to make Chucky work. With his height he could also have smaller red stain, make it harder to keep track of him.

  • Chances are people would only try OP builds rather than realistic ones from going through bloodwebs. Also many would probably stick with their meta perks instead of actually trying different perk builds. Miss out on alot if possible bugs, including bloodweb issues for new characters, that way.

  • I keep having to go against facecamping red/purple Onis when I get him as a killer. Doesn't feel like a killer in need of a nerf. I'd like to have Onis that move around a map while a survivor is on the hook. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sorry, I wasnโ€™t clear in my post since Iโ€™m on my phone. My point is that adding totem offerings would bring in more risk since Survivors would have to waste more time. We already have thread after thread complaining about NoEd, if they implement more totems we will get thread after thread complaining about Trapper and Hag.

I think totems are fine as is, but wouldnโ€™t be against offerings that increase the amount of totems, just be prepared for the salt.

I will never understand the NOED complaints, totems are quick to cleanse and have no skill check - easiest 1000 BP in the game. I wouldn't want them to nerf Trapper or Hag but it'd be nice to see them as killers worth complaining about. Don't think survivors find them bad to go against, why so many just set off their traps in front of them while ignoring the dull totems.

Salt will be there no matter what they do. They gave people 1.5xBP and people complained it wasn't 2x. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • Should probably tweet this, they're probably not in the forums.

What are you going to do when a Devour Hope spawns in a hard to find spot wedged in a corner and Trapper decides to trap it with the add-on that inflicts damage when disarming the trap? Solo Survivors will have a hell of a time looking for it since totem spawns would be plentiful.

Heck, for fun, Iโ€™ll run a totem build with Hag and place all my traps on the lit totems just to scare the Survivor for fun. Theyโ€™re not going to crawl through all the traps.

The Trapper and Hag already do this so it'd just be business as usual. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I am a solo survivor in red ranks and would love option to increase totems. 5 totems aren't that hard to cleanse, totems only have handful of spawn locations and can use Small Game or Detectives Hunch if you have problem finding them. Right now alot of Survivors purposely will ignore totems and only cleanse once activated as a Hex, increasing the number of totems/locations they'd have to check at end game if NOED is activated might encourage them to cleanse earlier in the game. Plus, extra easy BP cleansing more totems.

  • @AvisDeene said:

Would make playing Trapper, Hag and Basement Bubba more fun if a counter were put in the basement. But no, I am still against a counter without buffing Killers. A totem counter would take away from the uncertainty of hex totems because it would encourage Survivors to cleanse totems asap. Killers who use hex perks rely on Survivors not knowing how many totems are left.

If a totem counter is introduced, it should be a perk and something should be introduced for Killers to help counter it.

What if they introduced offerings that allowed you to increase number of totems? Do it for both survivor and killer. Inner Strength people would get more use from their perk. Survivors would have to check basement more often to see counter. Would also let killer know if NOED is going to activate.

  • Would need to adjust for the maps with no shack. Maybe on the exit gates? Run up to see only 4 when hit with NOED would be rough.

  • I remember it used to happen to both parties but I think it was after they changed how you could invite friends for swf it no longer happened for survivor.

  • I don't think it happens as much in SWF but I see it alot as solo survivor. Even running Kindred I won't be saved until killer has picked up another survivor. It's either that or injured survivor goes for save while being chased without BT, is knocked down during unhook, killer then knocks down recently unhooked, picks up/hooks unhooker first to try and slug DS out of the other survivor. If that survivor has Tenacity/Unbreakable they have decent odds of being popped up before killer tries to hook them. If killer knows they don't have DS they'll just go right back on the hook.

  • @xGodSendDeath said:

I like to bring moris for teams of multiple blendettes, keys, and dailies. Sometimes I don't even use them if I'm winning the match because you get less bloodpoints

This is why I leave lobbies if I'm matched with multiple same survivors, flashlights or keys. Most killers will just tunnel/mori off first hook when that happens and I'd rather be waiting for lobby than waste my time in a 5 minute match.

  • DS - many times a survivor is not unhooked until the killer is picking up a second survivor to hook. Because of this timing DS would be deactivated basically the moment the survivor is unhooked, the killer could just go straight back for that survivor knowing they definitely won't have DS after being off the hook for only a few seconds.

NOED is fine the way it is already, doesn't need a change.

Self Care doesn't need a speed buff.

Monstrous Shrine - don't give basement campers two basement options on a map.

  • @Peanits said:

Correct, as the progression system on DBD mobile is completely different from the PC and console version. You don't level up with bloodpoints on mobile like you do here, they level up characters with XP. A double XP offering on mobile is basically like a double bloodpoint offering, and those already exist. For PC and console, your player level is more of an indicator of playtime than progress, so having a multiplier for it doesn't make as much sense.

It'd help on the rift since xp goes towards rift fragments. :)

Again, sorry but no aree, change my Mind. Playing aggressive to be not gen rushed. But against good team if they want they can gen rush me, so I must capitalize time if I dont want be teabahgged at exits. So I risk killing more then one people and close the game. Also is not my fault if they play bad and got 3 genned, or if after kill 2 I patrol, but they di nothing, I governi dinner and after 15 min of me RESOPOND TO AFL WITH AFK, they got nothing, only doing statue in the tall grass. Also if they Do ONLY ONE GEN, i can give up one or two gen why not, but THEY DO NOT WORK GEN, SO IT IS IMPOSSIBILE, EVEN IF I TOOK AWAY THE GAMEPAD AND GOT DINNER! Hope it is clear this Time.

Unless you're messaging them that you're grabbing a bite they don't necessarily know you went AFK. Maybe they went and got dinner because for 15+ minutes they couldn't get to a gen because your patrolling wasn't allowing them to touch the gens. Your aggressive play is working in the sense you're not getting gen rushed because the survivors can't touch the gens. But your aggressive play is working more against you than for you if you keep finding yourself in this situation. Once you're down to two survivors with multiple gens you can pull back a bit to let them think they have a chance so they don't avoid you and go into stale mate. Just like you need to know when to end a chase in beginning of the game you need to know when to back off from patrolling when you're down to last couple survivors to draw them out.

  • Just had another match where I had no HUD but the map name stayed the whole match. Different killer, different map. Killer this time was Doctor so I could not snap out of it without tapping to avoid skill checks.

It Is Connected. If I dont play smart by make decision on chase to down a surv with the risk to concede a gen, or not chase but patrol and only make injured the surv, so they can lose time healing and gen regress, I will Be automatically gen rush. And if you suggest me be gen rushed or gift gen to evitate game Hostage simply not. However, mine are only suggestions to devs, that I hope they like always read the community, but our ideas need testing and balance. And no, I dont want to make more difficile for survivor to escape by hatch, but simply prevent game hostage when hatch cant Spawn because the two surv remaining have not do the 3 gens needed for 2 surv Spawn hatch. Also resolving the problem will regole the empass and making the hatch escape for one of the two surv faster, if the killer doesnt want to slug, other case when this solution is not obvioisly needed.

Your fear of being genrushed is causing you these stalemates though. If you killed 2 survivors already you can get the 3rd by giving up one of three remaining gens. That last survivor will need to choose helping that 3rd survivor or escape. You're choosing stale mate over a single survivor possibly gen rushing 3 gens on their own while you chase another survivor.

  • I figured killers don't stagger because they're inhuman, makes sense a fall wouldn't hurt them. Maybe make a survivor perk Dead Weight where it'd cause the killer to stagger if dropping from height with survivor.

  • @Prex91 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1292078#Comment_1292078

That is a different thing. Playing killer you have to make decision, and continue a chase to get an hook is a decision, to stop a chase because wasting too much time at looping and risking gens is another decision. Is a time besed decision. Refuse a chase or decise to tunnel are strategy (also irritating actions from both sides can change the play style). I just hope devs take actions against the player I reporter for game hostage, but honestly I prefer if they do something to preventiva it, I dont request killer Buff, but solution for game hostage. And no, I dont think perks are the only solution for game design problems.

Yes, as killer you have choices and if your choice of strategy is preventing the survivor from being able to do anything to progress the game aside from walking up and letting you kill them that strategy is preventing the game from progressing. A killers choices influence the survivors play causing the stale-mate. Again, if it's happening to you this often your choice of strategy is probably causing it and you should change up your playstyle.

You did suggest killer buffs like free aura reading which would be terrible because of the way killers will prevent survivors from being able to do anything, they'll basically be guaranteed free information without using a perk slot. They ended the last man/hatch stand off by making the hatch appear, letting killer close it to trigger EGC and power the doors. They'd need something similar to that which doesn't give either side a buff/guaranteed win. The idea to open a door starting EGC would be a way to end it, although they would need something like no chases/gens for x amount of time so it wouldn't just be killer opens it after being run for 3 gens or their Devour Hope was cleansed at beginning of game and they don't want to bother with full match.
