I also hate that gas heaven is a flat map with almost no sight blockers, only worse map is a blood lodge. Zero possibility of mind game, so it's mostly "chase in straight or hope for them to be stupid", and most of the pallets are far from being unsafe to compensate for a lack of possibility to use tricks.
Ormond is a random map. It has tiles back to back, sometimes they're all corridors, sometimes t-walls. Swing in difficulty is very wide, so this map is unbalanced in more than one meaning of the word.

This is probably off-topic, but to everyone here, should i buy oni over hag and clown with shards?
Look at Hag's gameplay. She's constantly reduced speed killer, means all her gamepaly is designed around her power. Fair amount of people don't like, how they're different from "normal" killers.
-
My best shot is a Hag with agitation and iron grasp (and something like ruin + STBFL), opportunities come all the time. Finished 3rd tome and 4th tome basements with relative ease.
And yes, you just have to keep trying. At some point you'll get a group without pussies that can take a hit.
-
Right about that... It's like the last night I had a weird situation near a hook. One guy started unhooking another in front of me, I've made a delayed swing and hit an unhooked person (the unhooking guy stood behind him so I wouldn't be able to reach him in time). Unhooked person flinched from a hit... but didn't go down. In confusion "maybe it was BT and it had no visual for some reason?" I've attacked him again... and now he had the BT. Basically, visual of unhooking was so desynchronized with actual action that I even seen a person flinching from a hit standing on the ground, but the action wasn't finished yet.
So no, please no, no priorities. Survs has BS on their screens, killers has on theirs. Devs should work on removing BS from the screen, not adding more of it.

Ok... Am I crazy or the basement in haddonfield always in the same place?
Cause I'm pretty sure it isn't always at the myers house.
Haddonfield doesn't have a killer's shack, and basement always in the killer's shack or in the second map based location. So Haddonfield has only one basement location, as well as The Game. Lerry's has a room resembling a shack, so there's two places. The Lab is unique in this regard, both of basement places look nothing like a shack.

Basically, Exposed is problematic when it works with special attacks.
Frenzy, Hatchets, ect.
Sloppy Butcher and 3rd Seal both COULD work with special attacks, but a case could be made either way so it's whatever.
Dark Devotion I put on the list for a reason.
STBFL should work with special attacks as well, since the whole point is that you are attacking non-obsessions and focusing them before the Obsession.
PWYF basically already works like this.
Surge couldn't work like this. It doesn't proc on injuring a Survivor so this keyword wouldn't work for it. If we were to remove the basic attack requirement it would instead be by wording it like infectious fright.
I'm probably forgetting a bunch of on-hit effect perks but you get the idea.
Frenzy can't down, so exposed doesn't do anything anyway. STBFL shouldn't make special attacks faster, therefore it shouldn't trigger tokens as well, just to make it clear it doesn't work with special attacks.
Yeah, surge is another perk that could relly benefit from MELEE attack restriction, not just basic. It has too many restriction already :(

Getting deviousness as a pig is something you never expect to happen when playing her. So I agree. Also I think the Pig should get points when helmet is removed, it promotes leaving survivors to making their new secondary objective instead of chasing them down with their helmet on. Every killer is rewarded with points when they do something beneficial with their ability so it's visible they do well with it. The Pig is rewarded with ambush dash (+250), ambush hit (+500) and setting up traps (+500). You've forced "the game" to start (activation of a trap) - "doesn't matter", survivor had to follow your rules an play "the game" (removed the trap) - "doesn't matter", having a "game over" - "doesn't matter". So according to the game rewarding system it's fine as long as you set a trap on a person and smack'em with your ambush.
-
I feel more immersed as a scary killer when people hide from me than when we have a Monty Python~like chase around a pile of garbage with a pallet in the middle. Personal opinion.
But getting stealthy when there's no heartbeat or signs of a killer, is the same as crouching as the Pig the whole game without sings of survivors nearby.
-
To be fair, only things that need a special treatment is Huntress hatchet with exposed (write it so exposed is effective only on melee hits), and STBFL (should only work with non-special attack). That's it, not a single one of any other abilities need restrictions. Is Dark Devotion op with ranged attacks? One shots? Ambush? Eh?

"This survivor plays like a baby! If I brutally kill them, they'll be discouraged from playing the game. Why not show them some mercy while they're still babies?". Like, seriously, you must that one guy that brutally beats people in competitive games with clueless amateurs.
-
- has 0 chance of surviving;
- killer can kill a person ANY TIME, but HAVE to make it in very specific way due to a special objective;
- survivor knows it, so he gonna make everything possible to deny a special objective while at the same time HAVING A 0 CHANCE OF SURVIVING or getting any other objective himself.
Yep, that's killers fault for sure.
(If I don't get it, neither do you!)
-
They fixed it in PTB.
-
I would like to see amount of PLAYERS compared to their SURVIVAL/KILL RATE. I.e. what kind of rates players can achieve, and how many players are there that can achieve that.
That would look more like workable stats.
-
Is it PC or console? Funny business.
Are you trying to do flashlight challenge or something? Maybe it's your skin? Try changing something about you. Maybe it's your profile that's offensive.
-
- sometimes at vaults, I appear before a vault, hit the vault, then appear on another side of it;
- when I teleport behind the pallet, some weird *** happens to auto-aim, I turn 180 to swing at a surv that vaults, but auto-aim locks me back, so I swing at air like if I didn't turn the camera. This thing happens pretty often with teleport when auto-aim locks you into position, where surv WAS, not where he IS;
- with new severs I tend to overcharge blinks, because charging "enough" results in blinks at place.
Something like that.
-
She's still good at chases, but so is clown. That's why she's close to him in statistics, I guess.
-
Why reward people with more if they gonna do it anyway?
Well, something like that.
-
Boy, am I exited to see page 4 challenges "farm 50 teammates" feelsgoodman.jpg
-
Why you think devs didn't take the feedback?
It's just doesn't mean they gonna use it on already made archive. It's probably gonna be used for next one. Also they gonna use it in a way that suits them, not in a way you expect them to.
-
Basement Chest Guardian Bubba you say?

Yeah I can't really see myself paying for premium again if I can't get to the last tier either through the challenges or grinding. A lot of these tome 3 and 4 challenges are asinine.
Imagine expecting to pay only once for the same battle pass.
-
Good thing dedicated servers didn't affect killers at all, and only survivors fell victims to them.
I miss grabs (pun not intended). Hell, I miss auto-attacks on missed grabs.
-
I'm used to play killer more and always ended up with red rank, while standing in lower purples with survivor. Now I'm at higher ranks with survivor than with a killer... I guess last two chapters I'll just farm points for the rift with afk end game wraith and finish the rest of survivor challenges when I feel like it.
-
I find it troublesome that they're the same as in previous level, but require more and reward the same amount.
-
Next tome? You mean next archive? I don't think they gonna change current format until archive is done.
-
Justification of doing nothing maybe a coutner play. Using cosmetics to counter ultra-rare add-on - yes, this silly.
-
Wanna count, how many killer perks discourage killers from camping?
- Hex: Devour Hope. A meme perk that usually gives you nothing;
- Make Your Choice. Mediocre perk, hard to use on average killer, pay walled.
- BBQ & Chilli, amazing perk, but again pay walled and was in a shrine only twice since Bubba was added (or was it 3 times?).
Wanna count perks that encourage/enchant camping?

So your guess is, if the 4 hook condition comes to play, we will have an incredibly raised number of same skinned survivor groups confusing the killer in fear of a mori offering?
I would definitely do.
-
@yermom said:
Wait, I don't understand, would people rather not have challenges to do? I love the rift / tomes and don't want them to be any easier.
Some people might not like that the challenges cause players to deviate from playing the game normally, but if people were a little more introspective, they would learn from their mistakes. Assuming this is what frustrates people about challenges.
People love challenges, but not grind and time restrictions.

@Deadeye said:
@avilmask Except survivors running different items, except stalking single targets with ghost face, except people cleansing or catching them while healing with nurses. Shall we battle? This is all conditional. I'm not saying it will never happen, just in the majority of games it is not that hard to determine in game who is on death hook and who I have not found yet. If you play with obsession perks like STBFL or PWYF you get used to it
In majoirty of games people don't feel obligated to immerse and use identical skins, because there's no real reason to do so.
-
@Deadeye said:
@avilmask You still see the icons, who is injured, if you chase the obsession and other stuff. And if someone is preferring to approach to death hook than granting the mori, would it be so bad?
I think the condition would be fine. In an older thread we had the idea of that condition as well. We just 'reworked' moris completely to say a single mori is killer basekit after every survivor got hooked. And the moris add +1/+2/+3 to it. But currently the stats show killers are all above 2k on average, so a basekit mori would probably not be much appreciated. Survivor mains would yell about that in any way I guess :)
Except when you're plague, except when survivors don't heal (hello, 4 man adrenaline), except when you don't camp and don't see people getting unhooked and healed.
-
@Todgeweiht said:
Make it so that you can kill only if you have hooked every single survivor at least once.
Encourages one person to immerse for no reason but to deny a mori and feel justified about it. And this is a dumb idea as long as it's possible to use identical skins. 4 hooks.
-
Haha... What I've noticed is solo survivor experience is quite close to average variety killer experience. You're always on a run and on a clock, always making decisions that may or may not win or lose a game for you, since you can't afford to rely on your teammates. The more I played the more I relied on iron will, because it makes me quiet and allows me to not rely on teammates, be a hard target to pick even if I stay injured.

You mean mature enough to not tell people you got a commodious and will put in a map offering?
If you are unable to speak a language i understand it, but some people think you are able to speak theirs. I'm also no english native speaker.
People that can't speak english still would tell you that in a language you don't understand. Might as well assume they're not talking to you.

If you are a (please insert any nationality except countries with english as main language) and you see three people speaking english in pre- or post game chat, what do you do:
a) speak english too
b) speak your own language
I wouldn't write in chat. Woo, boy, how many things would change if people just WOULDN'T WRITE in chat. But not a lot of people are mature enough just to not talk.
-
I guess, killer role is again that popular noone want to play it? It appears that lobby dodging is quick enough to not care about waiting times. Might as well prepare to play against a Spirit because your team seems to be intimidating for some reason, and Spirits are only ones that don't care about how scary you are.
Well, the answer is obvious then: go play killer!
-
@FriendlyGuy said:
The only and really the only problem i have with some russian players is, that they think everyone speaks russian and talk only in russian. As if it is so difficult to speak english.
You don't sound better. Non-english version of the game doesn't have any kind of indication that people in the chat can't speake english, or nothing BUT english. So people speaking different languages is a "norm". People can be stubborn in any country and refuse to speak anything by their own language. For them it's you're that one strange guy that for some reason speaks foreign language in a game that's perfectly russian otherwise. What isnt normal (well, probably it is, but isn't good and violates rules) is for people to harass each other.
As for the OP. You may not like it, but if you play a killer you WILL be harassed, always. You have to be used to that. Ignore in-game chat (just hide it), set your profile to read-only for everyone, who's not in your friendlist, or hide it, or block and report people that harass you in your profile to steam. It's also a violation of rules on Steam.
-
Are you trying to shame people for liking playing strong killers or something? :/ Because it's a strange question "why you like winning".

Was so obvious someone would misinterpretate these stats to rant about nurse being unplayable. Just learn to play her since she just needs adjustments in her playstyle to be nearly as too strong as she was in basekit before. Accept you wont be able to blink braindead as before. Cause thats the real issue players are suffering from atm (besides servers -.- ).
Funny that people keep interpreting "not strong" and "not fun to play" as "bad" and "unplayable".

knew once i saw the stats people were gonna use the stats to heart to come up for reasons like nurse to be reworked or buffed.
By stats, she's close to a clown at red ranks now, WHILE still being extremely bad at non-red ranks.
You think her popularity gonna go up from now on?
-
@Alphaphalt said:
Take the stats with a grain of salt. Nurse under performs because she's harder to play and as you can see she's played a decent amount. Freddy over performs because there are specific loadouts that are the issue, which should be addressed, such as Forever Freddy and Snarelusting which can get some fast downs.
What's going in is that they're averages and don't represent real matches.
she's played a decent amount
Yeah, about as often as the Clown, with about the same kill rate (at red ranks!) T_T Now she's balanced alright.
-
@Omans said:
No need to address a change that was beneficial to the game's health.
Take the advice all you nurse players gave to survivors and adapt your play style.
Or take an example and complain every day until nerf is reverted.
-
With what they can get way is better. If they can get away with first, it's better, because -1 hook stage, if they end up trading... Well, as long as it's not a kill hook.

Well she's not the only one you can do it. If you're a good enough nurse or billy player they'll do it just fine too.
Maybe (big maybe) on huntress. Depending on if/how they nerf oni he may end up being the new slug god though.
Well, description of Oni's power literally says "if you don't slug, you lose your power".

just play spirit and the if you can becomes a "how did you lose"
That's how you should have started "play spirit and...".
-
@SkeletalElite said:
Who needs to slug for the 4k when you can just equip IF and knock out and slug everyone, all the time. It's pretty much the strongest strategy in the game if you can get downs quick enough since you're going to be applying way more pressure than is possible otherwise.
Nice "if you can" you got there. And if you can't it's a pointless perk.

I mean, really? It has a better mobility, can rotate 180° instead of 90°, can one shot multiple people and has basically no cooldown
yet he have a rough early game and loses his power when picks up survivors (including charge), plus he's loopable, even though harder than normal loopable killers.

Explain how someone can out play the a nurse player who is very experience and skilled? You talk about a surivior can rscspr from her, but never explain how exactly.
Of course it's easier to face nurse players because how many of them are good compared to those just doing dailies or are bad?
Huntress would have to go to a locker and grab new hatchet. This gives suriviors time to escape, otherwise Huntress will become an easy loop able killer.
Hag would have to waste time placing down traps which give suriviors time to escape. A surivior can also use items such as a flash light to disable it.
Myers would have to fully stalk you and that itself takes a long time which commonly result in 3 gens being done depending on the team.
Hilbilly's attack can be dodge (like every killer) and result in the killer haven't to waste time recovering for there punishment on missing there chainsaw.
You can juke a spirit, so does that mean she is weak killer?
Old base nurse hardly required patient. Her fatigue is normal compared to other killers. Obviously the new one is more longer and unfun (she wasn't really that fun to begin with). But she isn't weak.
So a killer going into fatigue isn't a good thing? So a killer should have access to spam there attacks?
She still does exist in red ranks, so what are you talking about? There is now 14 killers and you expect one of the hardest killer to learn to appear frequently?
I dont think you are that good with nurse or have seen good nurse players if you are saying that.
She wasn't easy to begin with, why make her not only weaker, but also even harder? No-one plays her means she's balanced, because all 5 nurse players have a 50/50 result on her.
-
Strangely, I had a similar idea.
I had an image of a body-builder survivor, that has brute force based perks. One of them is "Mighty shock-wave: if you're not exhausted, your next pallet stun blinds and deafens the killer for 2 seconds, also preventing him from reading tracks for 6 seconds. You become exhausted for 60/50/40 seconds)".
