How is it killers can go in with little to no perks and slay people like that in a game that’s so perk dependent 😂 telling me killers don’t need a nerf on their melee range or speed or something? They dont even need perks 😂 solo survivor makes me sad man this ######### sucks. Killers just swiftly get their 4Ks so I don’t wanna hear about gen speeds
That's funny. I get out 7 out of 10 games and of those 7 games, I'd say everyone in the match escapes 5 out of the 10.

Why do survivors get less points than killers?
Has behavior ever addressed this?
Am i mistaken?
I had a 31,000 point game as survivor yesterday.

It's a one time perk that can't be used any other time in the game, unlike lithe or sprintburst or deadhard or spine chill. I love people that use it but I don't need to slug everyone for a 4 k... I would occasionally slug someone early in game leave them down and go after someone else because it has the potential to take up at least 2-3 survivors time. But slugging everyone as a strategy to win? How is that fun? I say use a better strategy.

More experienced players might know why this is a bad idea but it seems to me that in my journey to level 16 as killer I seem to be:
A: Playing a lot of survivors way above my rank (I guess that is match making)
B: Watching everyone wasting time in the exits waiting for me to eventually get there just so they can bounce up and down pointing like idiots until I try to hit them and they run out.
Seems to be that the exit gate is like the paint in basketball. If you are in there for more than 3 seconds (or however long it takes to run across it) then you should get booted back to outside the door, maybe some number of meters outside.
When I play survivor (I got to rank 13 so far) if the door is unlocked I either go back in (if someone is hooked) or run out.
Is there a point reason to hang around? I know that getting run around, hit by people jumping out of lockers, blinded at every palette, and then teased at the end seems like a bad look for the game. No killers means no games and if you are being made to feel like a jerk it seems like a serious flaw. I know EGC was put in because of what Survivors used to do, but can you enforce sportsmanship using code?
I look forward to your thoughts!
I just walk around looking for the hatch and let them wait most of the time. Every once in a while someone ends up dead 😂 and I get a chance to close the hatch for extra points. I play both sides and have only tea bagged killers that try to camp and/or tunnel all game

Honestly one full minute of 3 survivors looking for the ruin was one less gen popped before your first hook. It was worth it for some killers.

i see a lot of hate for DS, but you can counter that very easy by just leaving them for a minute then hooking them. but borrowed time, you get cocky survivors running straight to the hook and unhooking in front of you . i think borrowed time is the most toxic survivor perk not DS.
whos with me?

The only time I tunneled is if there's one Gen left or the gates are powered, hopefully by that point I have at least 2 dead (8 out of 10 games) if not Im most likely going to lose anyway. Tunneling someone straight off a hook takes no skill so I'd rather not. So BT is ok by me.

True, however if you have been inflicted with a debuff it only makes sense that the game tells you what it is let alone notifies you.
So killers should also know if survivors have DS, unbreakable, BT ect?

Maybe try survaillance?

No I don’t. I just want it to be fun every once in a while. It’s not and since there is nothing else like it right now, I can either move on or deal with how crappy it is.
I'm a survivor main and honestly the doc isn't that bad to go against if you know what your doing. It has to be fun for both sides or there won't be a game.

Of all the things I have found wrong with DBD, the biggest issue I have had for way too long is No One Escapes Death. I refuse to see why this perk has went so long without a nerf. I'm not going to say to remove it, but something needs to change, because I'm tired of playing a game great only to die immediately to NOED. And it's hard to find the will to stay on the hook, since then all you do is risk killing anybody else. I'm not saying ditch this perk, because I understand that the best use of this perk comes from matches that went poorly for the killer. However, this inspires toxic gameplay. I absolutely despise the fact that you can do awful the entire game, yet still possibly net a 4K due to this single perk. Ruin was changed because people hated how annoying it was, but Ruin didn't need a change anywhere near as bad as this perk. Here are just a few ideas on how to nerf this perk: 1. When the killer runs this perk, change the design/color of the totems, that way it is worth it to cleanse dull totems, but doesn't totally eliminate the possibility of NOED actually triggering. 2. Have a requirement for the exposed effect, like only have the exposed effect if 4 or 3 of the survivors are still within the trial. This will still help Killers who've had a bad game, without entirely removing the ability for the survivors who've played well to escape. 3. Buff the survivors in some way. This doesn't have to be a big buff at all, but anything that makes it slightly easier to not die immediately is worth it. Like, how about removing all the survivors' exhaustion or make vaulting pallets and windows a bit faster. Just one of these tweaks would make playing against a killer with this perk infinitely more enjoyable, without making this perk worthless to run. Please, anybody consider this and spread it. Out of all the current balance issues, this one seems the most obvious.
I play survivor main. There is a perk to find bones and take them out. Let's not make this game any more boring please! Its boring enough playing survivor since they butchered Ruin.

Honestly about the only time I ever brought a mori into a game was to complete a daily to kill a survivor by your own hand with whichever killer or I'd end u with no pips or blood points.
-
I think they are spending way too much time on cosmetics. I like cosmetics but I would rather the game be balanced and work well.

I can't give you a number but it can happen quite more with IG and Agitation
I've played for almost 3 years survivor main for the first 2 and I have rarely seen it in the first 2 mins. Maybe a couple dozen of times and I was addicted to DBD Only seemed to happen when someone was not playing smart and trying to rescue before the killer leaves. Or on small maps.

Curious what the stats are for mori usage. I know I mostly see them as expensive bloodweb fodder. For all the grief killers get for being sweaty and such, you gotta admit... Most moris go unused.
If a killer uses a red nori and kills everybody after one hook they will most likely lose a pip or barely save. It's usually not worth bringing them. The other mori's don't make a huge difference.

That actually helped see it. Seems right.
Though in those very same 2 minutes he got 2 basement hooks
Yeah but how often does a killer get 2 basement hooks that quickly?

Okay, maybe I'm a bit of the odd duck on this one, but I never played with Ruin. Lately, the matches seem to have gotten easier for me. It's not uncommon to get a double pip without running Ruin. For the record, I've been running Legion using Nurse's Calling, BBC, Dying Light, and Thana.
Just curious....do you get your 4k games without tunneling survivors straight off the hook? And do you only play legion? I needed ruin with a couple of the slower killers to be able to have a decent game. (I refused to tunnel survivors straight off the hook because it isn't challenging at all) I really liked when everyone got good points and had fun during a game. And as a survivor (I mained survivor) I considered ruin a challenge. I'm using past tense because I almost never play anymore.

I mean, nobody is more critical of BHVR than me, but the guy above me is right. Everyone who posts here saying they are done are doing it for attention and were probably reinstalling 30 seconds after hitting the "POST COMMENT" button.
I was addicted to this game for years and I haven't played in weeks. And when I did before this, it was only because friends asked me to. So it may not be all just for attention. I'm a bit sick of the cosmetics coming first. Not to mention I bought the rift pass last go around, no intentions to this time. You have to grind like crazy to complete it. It's just not worth the stress which I imagine has gotten worse with all the changes.I play killer but I was survivor main.

If your core base that has played it for 3 years stops playing, you close down.
New players come and go here because of tie ins (ST) and the fact that most refuse to actually LEARN the game. They want it to be easy, and cant stand to look up a video. But guess what, they already paid.
They have money from the new players wether they quit or not. However if your actual core playerbase quits, theres no more DLC or cosmetic purchases from them regularly. Theres no playerbase to actually keep the game running. Especially if it's the veteran killers that leave. Theres no veterans to make videos or give information TO the new players, in turn giving them less reason to stay because they're COMPLETELY in the dark as to what to do.
Focusing on just new players to "keep you alive" isnt ever going to work. Catering to the newcomers while alienating those who have supported you, THROUGH ######### DECISIONS AND TIMES, is simply a suicidal business practice.
I must agree. I mained survivor a year and a half before challenging myself to play killer (much harder then survivor, if you are a survivor try a game as killer with a few killers to see). After 2 and a half years of playing Dead by Daylight I am unhappy with the changes as a survivor because it's getting too easy to survive. (It is after all called Dead by Daylight, I expect it to be very hard to survive even half the time). And I've pretty much stopped playing killer. I have bought all the DLC's to now and many many cosmetics but do not plan to waste my money if the game is going to be so wishy washy for new survivors. I learned to play with hex ruin up and around other perks. My son quit playing because it was too easy (killer and survivor so he wasn't challenged enough by either) after 6 months and that was way before all this. I only play now when friends ask me to which is why I no longer play killer.

If they want to be that way then many killers will make it as unfun for survivors as possible, ebony moris that many killers haven't used will probably be used more.
I have so many ebony mori's that I've never used because I am a survivor main and I don't like to be a camping tunneling killer. I like the game to be fun for everyone but as hard as killer can be sometimes, especially against SWF. I say killers have at it with the mori's.

Help DBD is dying, help help. My ruin is getting nerfed!
I am a survivor main that plays killer occasionally. Killer is much more challenging. I have to agree with what cosmicmain says on this, both as a survivor main and killer. Game is getting boring. My interest has started to fade.

While camping is a valid strat you'll never get better doing it.
Amen to that. The only way I camp is if it's end game and I have one or less kills. As a survivor I won't go near a camping killer lmao to the ones that do.
-
I play survivor quite a bit more then killer but Ruin kept the game interesting as survivor. Gen rushing can hurt your score as survivor as much as it does with killer so ruin actually helped that some. Have already stopped playing DBD as much as I used to after hearing about the changes coming and I'm sure after the change to ruin my play time will go down even more.
-
I don't see myself buying a pass on the rift/archives again. They made it take too long to complete. I like to be able to play other games occasionally. I got my pass for this and fortnite at the same time and completed my pass on Fortnite easily compared to DBD. I'll still play some but honestly am disappointed in how the rift is set up. I just started playing Fortnite recently and still enjoy DBD more but if they make it too challenging for me to do I will just stop spending my money.
