No, thankfully not. Although I'm sorry that you have. Sounds like torture.

Oh it really wasn't as bad as it sounded. I got a 4k they were really bad at looping.they only got 3 gens done with ruin still standing.

  • You have never seen true horror than seeing 4 survivors switch to Claudette at the very last second all armed with tool boxes. And then seeing 3 greater mist offerings and a swamp offering pop up.

  • Legion is one of the best mobility Killers in the game couple that with Fuming Mixtape and you can always find survivors to hit.

  • 1.Killer offerings that effect gen speed.

2.Two gens need to be done for the hatch to spawn.

    3. 5 perk slots for Killers.

    That's about it.

  • I play solo survivor in red ranks just fine. The only thing that irritates me is I'm always the first one found I think it's mostly because everyone skulks around the map while I jump on the first gen I see.

My advice is run Quick and Quiet. I mad Killers double back because they didn't hear the quick vault. It makes looping without pallets better.

  • This is one of the 2 games that brought me into the Multiplayer world. Hitting Red Ranks as Both A Survivor and Killer I have to say it was easy to rank up as survivor. Playing Killer was massively harder. Now a day's in red ranks I have one survivor trying so hard to get my attention and after he's dead on the hook I get spammed messages calling me a tryhard, a Tunneler. Gen's pop like crazy so I run Noed. Spammed by SWF's party's calling me out for using it,

My point is SWF really needs to be reeled in. Its to the point on console I get spammed invites to join party's all the time and when I don't I get the Killer lead right to me, I get Sandbagged. Its annoying, and it feels like the Report button just leads to the delete bin.

I legit can't tell if you're genuinely looking for feedback/a discussion or you're just trying to show off how morally just and woke you are by not caring if you get mori'd in a game.

They're all unfun features that shouldn't be in the game and just because you're not competitive enough that it matters to you doesn't mean it should be that way for everyone else.

People have always complained about them, but in case you're not aware DBD is one of the fastest growing games from a relatively small developer so obviously the larger the community grows the more people will speak up about things they don't like.

Fastest growing. . . I am rank 3 as Killer and I'm Rank 5 as survivor. it takes me 5 seconds to find a game as Killer and upwards of 15 to 20 minutes for a survivor game. I have never played SWF and I have experienced everything in this game that you could experience.

If you let a teabagger or a salty camper ruin your experience then no amount of fixing anything will help. There will still be campers even if they get no bloodpoints Key's and Mori's always will be a thing.

But fair enough since you say Unfun features should be removed.Let's remove

Exposed status, Tombstone, Tuft of Hair, Tombstone Piece, Piggy's Traps, The Killers ability to move, I could go on but why bother. The game is full of things that make us Rage, and Laugh.

In any case I'm trying to tell people to push the chair back walk around the room before they go shouting that this or that should be removed.

  • . . . . No, I remember reading something that the devs said way back in the day. "We don't care if the character in game is scared, we want to scare the player"

Communication is a curse that is destroying this game. You hear a random heartbeat you get off a gen and scout around. With communication it removes the fear that the Killer could be targeting you. SWF is a horrible mode that shouldn't have been added. Be honest if your running with 2, 3 or even a full stack how many of you tell your friends "The Killer is chasing me do gens"

Communication ruins the fear aspect that this game tries to build up. Killers become a joke because survivors shout out they need help and here come 3 survivors to body block the hook.

Its so bad on console that I get spammed with party invites to join the other Survivors. It happened Yesterday in two matches. And when I didn't join I got hookfarmed, sandbagged you name it. I would be in the side of the map healing and her comes a survivor dragging the Killer right too me.

Communication is ruining this game point blank and simple.

Not a great build. Completely map dependant. You get The Game? This build is great. You get Red Forest? Not so much.

That's were PGTW comes in handy, Fuming Mixtape helps you find the gen most repaired so you can pop it down. If your observant a survivor will usually be around to tap it and there you go tense and repeat.

  • I have been a legion main on console and I have to say the Killer is completely fine as it is.

It's better to leave Him/Her as they are least we mess up something that shouldn't be touched.

i personally never used fuming mixtape, i always thought it was a really useless add-on, but thanks for the build

Surge pushes Survivors off their gens with that 8% regression, Thrilling Tremors to lock off gens so they can regress a bit, PGTW to hit those gens that are outside Surge, and Infectious Fright to find the general location of the other survivors.

Fuming Mixtape is great because you can tell immediately which Gen is touched as it turned light pink,

  • My Optimal Build is Surge/Thrilling Tremors/PGTW/Infectious Fright. Fuming Mixtape to find Gens being worked on, and either Cold Dirt or The Legion Pin.

  • I've been called a Tunneler by going after the guy who had Make Your Choice on and not going after the guy who was unhooked.

  • Not that I've seen.

  • I love Oni. I feel like it's the perfect Killer to maintain pressure on the map. It has the scare factor of Myers Tier 3 and Billy's speed to apply it.

  • I honestly don't feel like there should be a change to Key's. If your asking me specifically I still think the hatch should spawn for the last survivor unless 2 gens are finished. Other than that I think the hatch and Key's are fine.

  • Level 62 and I can't seem to get the two sacrifices with Noed.

  • Ruin is slowly becoming a crutch perk for all the M1 killers. That's what I feel anyway, I main Oni at red ranks running Surge/Thrilling Tremors/PGTW/Blood Echoes.

The growing trend I see with dbd is that more Killers have the ability to one shot survivors. With the exception of the spirit but with beads she was a monster anyway.

Learn to play without it, the more games you play without worrying about a totem means the more pressure you can apply on the map itself.

  • How about the fact that a survivor can still escape with five gens up by a magical randomly spawning hatch even if they did absolutely nothing all game.

It just irritates me to get 3 survivors gone and find the last teabagging on the hatch with 5 gens up.

  • Are you serious? Games are way too short to have a crafting system. Trading would be wonderful if you could trade items and add-ons for bloodpoints but I don't think that will happen anytime soon

  • Surge/Thrilling Tremors/Infectious Fright/ Cruel Limits.

If your feeling frisky use STBFL with Nemesis will have you flying around the map at lightning speed

  • I run Surge/Corrupt/PGTW/enduring on all my killers when I play seriously. The only time I really use Ruin is when I'm messing around with different Killers.

  • PS4 red ranks 15 to 20 minutes for survivor, 5 seconds for killer.

  • Usually when I play Killer I get the SWF's groups on console. Flashlight blinds, 3 man blocks, not to mention the smart asses that run Vigo's Cloak and Shroud Of Binding.

The best thing you can do is keep playing and get better.

  • Looking at it logically the only way to fix totem spawns is to make them more random but with an algorithm that places three walls adjacent to either side of the totem.

  • If you want me to be real with you most Leatherface players are usually campy little things. That don't bother chasing someone else unless they get to close. And most just go for the swing of you get to a window or pallet.

The best thing is leave it as it is. Giving it any kind of buff even if it's to the tantrum time will just get survivors pissy and screaming for a new nerf to counter it. Just hope people learn to cookie cut the obstacles, and time window saws.

  • I'm usually chill and never tunnel off the hook even in the extreme cases but if you hit me with DS I will tunnel you into the pavement. Head on's, Flashlight blinds that's fine but hit me with DS and I will spend the entire match putting you on the hook.

Let me ask you something. How many chances did this Rank 3 Bubba have to chainsaw me?

    https://youtu.be/ltGSfc-p_ug

That Bubba had no excuse to miss you that many times, thanks for the time stamp by the way.

The way I see it the Bubba was way too anxious to get you down and on the hook. He got tunnel visioned. Plan and simple.

  • He doesn't need a buff. He just needs people to stop camping and getting all butt hurt when the screw up a chainsaw. I play Bubba in red Ranks on console and have no issue. Get better.

  • I honestly felt like the new rank reset is pointless. If you keep all the skilled survivors together in purple and red ranks then there is no one to teach the lower ranks to run loops.

We get annoyed at getting paired up with inexperienced survivors but the more we play with them the better they get.

Anyway that's how I feel about it.

  • I honestly don't feel like it needs to be changed.

  • I just want skill checks to come in one speed not three. Laggy, slow, and faster than sound. It's annoying with Ruin.

  • I have given up playing for a while because once I hit red ranks all the Killers I go against all seem to have over a 160 to 180ms. But the ranking system isn't really crap.

The blame rests on "SWF" it is an unfair game mode. When this game is played by yourself it's a constant struggle of guessing if the Killer is looking for you or a teammate. In "SWF" that aspect is gone and replaced with a steady calm team that can communicate the Killers position and power through gens. Communication between survivors is a determent to this game. Even when I play solo on PS4 I get spammed party invites when I play Survivor I always decline but a remember getting sandbagged a lot during some games.

  • I said up and running, meaning on decent servers not on the company toster.

  • I guess I'm the unlucky one nearly 90% of my match's are against SWF.

  • I think that this game has lost its horror aspect when it's played with friends. SWF's is a completely broken game mode for those survivors who know how to loop and use pallets to effectively gang up on a Killer.

That's why Insta heals are changed, that's why borrowed time was changed, it's why DS was nerfed. Survivors should never have the advantage over any of the Killers.

If anything I believe that the Killer should have the ability to shut the exit gate and make survivors re-open them from the start. It's your own fault if your too altruistic not to leave the match.

  • Camping is a valid tactic, just like Gen rushing. I personally only camp if the survivor is being a toxic little ball of sunshine. Like Spam messaging me, or teabagging at every pallet. Other than that I'm usually more inclined to hunt another Survivor.

The best thing you can learn is that not everyone has the same mindset as you. You may get a killer that camps one game but one that doesn't the next. The greatest lesson to learn is that if a Killer is camping do a generator don't just walking around looking for an opening.

  • The game will be fine once the game is on a stable server. Right now there is too many instances of killers making hits they really shouldn't. Skill checks that go from a decent pace one game to fast as hell the next.

The funny thing I notice when I read through these forums and salty messages is that your expecting someone else to conform to your assumed play style.

I'll be blunt in saying that SWF'S should never have been a thing. Having the ability to communicate with other survivors removes that fear aspect that comes with the Killers terror radius. That thumping heart you hear is the killer coming towards you. "No he's on me keep doing gens" your friend calls out so you keep doing your gen and boom another gen falls.

  • I was always partial to giving the Survivors unique abilities. Meg moves at 105 movement speed, Dwight has a slight increase in generator repair speed, Laurie struggle bar fills more quickly.

Little things like that. But it won't happen.

  • I actually believe the state of the game is fine. The only thing that needs to be player side is skill checks. I have games where they are actually a manageable pace and then games where they are unusually fast.

Camping is a play style that is unfortunately part of the game. The best thing you can do to improve the knowledge of those that play. I.E if the Killer is camping gen rush.

Mainly the thing that players need to understand is that dying is okay not all games are the same.

  • . . . . . What?

  • Anyway let's look at the current state of the game where Ruin is a must have Perk at any rank below 7. Once you step into this territory you hit the more coordinated swf and more and more people hit great skill checks consistently.

At some point in time the game has flip flopped to the point that Killer is almost no longer the Apex of the map. I know how to run loops I have made many Killers rage quit or just straight out camp me and I don't blame any of them for doing so.

  • You must play Killer a lot more than your letting on because I play a good bit of Killer about 2 hours a night with survivor more or less under an hour. I started this season at rank 12 and after multiple 4K's I have just reached purple ranks.

  • I would personally like to see great skill checks removed from gens when two or more people are working on it.

The only issue I can see with the game is that it's too easy to hit good skill checks and people will generally double up on a gen when there isn't a ruin.

So my Idea is to shrink the good skill check zones, and remove the great skill check on gens being repaired by more than one player.

  • Giving us the option to play against or without Swf would be a huge improvement.

  • Maybe just give the Killers the ability to re-craft the totem I mean the pieces are all there. Make it so that if you have like Devour Hope with a few tokens the value resets to zero.

  • I was actually thinking about a change that removes great skill checks when two or more people are working on the same gen. It would lower the speed of gen progression by a small bit.

Writing in the code that a totem has to have 3 adjacent wall when it spawns, just to make Ruin a harder target. I remember I played the Nurse's map and my lit totem was sitting right in the middle of the field no tree or debris blocking it.

  • Ah I love Dead Hard it gives me exhaustion and lets me enter dying state.

The amount of DC's and First Hook Suicides have increased I've noticed, and while it doesn't normally hinder my progress climbing the ladder, it's a pain in the ass when trying to complete Challenges.

I need to help finish 3 generators with the Darks Senses Perk? That shouldn't be too... and 1 team-mate has hook-suicided, 1 is down and not healing, and 1 is being chased near the downed Survivor and not actively trying to move away.

I know the feeling, you start on your first gen then down in the corner you see someone get hit and before it even gets half-way their on the ground. but I actually like solo survivor it gives me the fear factor I want from this game.
