Do I think Blight should be 110%? Yes
Do I think it will ever happen? No, not really.
It just would be nice if Blight actually had a weakness as opposed to either being extremely strong or just average in every section of the map.

The basement is a double edge sword.
While the killer generally won't check basement without a good reason, getting caught in the basement injured is a free hook and basement hooks can be difficult for a survivor team to deal with especially against certain killers.
I do get that I just don't think "this could lead to a really bad scenario...that will barely ever happen" is much of a knock against the perk.
Especially if you're smart and only go do it when someone else is being chased or the killer has to apply gen pressure and can't stop patrolling then you've just negated that downside completely.
-
I think it's a strong perk, stronger than botany/self-care. You can still run it with botany for turbo heals but you don't have to and it frees up a perk slot which is also extremely useful.
I am generally of the belief basement isn't all that dangerous so I don't get the hand wringing about that pert of it.

Just play normally and don't gen rush, you'll be fine. Cleanse a totem or take hits etc.
What is gen rushing? Do you mean doing the only objective survivors have? This feels like you're saying "play poorly and you'll be fine. Source: Just trust me bro".

Skull Merchant making games 35 minutes instead of an hour doesn't make her more fun to go against lol. At least this version encourages chase.

I'm just amazed that Weaving Spiders copped a nerf.
I mean, the permanent charges is good, but making it lose a third of its power to compensate for that when the perk was so deep below balancing standards... I don't think this improves anything but the 'feel' of the perk, which honestly makes me worry that people are going to actually use it now.
It's not at all a nerf, what happened most of the time is you added the 15 charges then the killer went around kicking the gens and all except 1 or 2 would go back to zero. Having those charges locked in is a massive buff.
-
The Unknown buff literally only buffs Unknown players that hit their shots? I don't understand the point of this thread.

That's not true at all. Some killers are more complicated than others and harder to play against for low mmr survivors.
Unknown is one of them.
I don't think a killer that forces survivors to do something they should be doing anyway is a bad thing tbh.
-
Twins.
I've always thought being chased by Victor was hilarious.
-
Do you think anyone actually likes playing with AIs?
-
Hard to say there are a lot of bad ones. I guess I'll say Slinger?
Getting a spear put into your back and then shot through your midsection up through your throat and out of your mouth is almost Mortal Kombat level fatality to me.
-
I see maybe 1 per game, I don't even bother to think about it anymore but seems good still, probably one of BHVR's better success stories when it comes to them balancing formerly problematic perks.

The old DH couldn't do something like this either, but it was the strongest exhaustion perk. Anyway, if you are close enough to a pallet that the old DH can get you out of the dead zone, Dramatugy can also get you out of the same place. You may have dodged the damage with the old DH, but the killer will knock you out when she recovers.
Dead Hard you had to be injured Dramaturgy you have to be healthy that is a massive difference. It's why DH was so consistent because you could use the speed burst of being injured to get where you needed to be not to mention DH had i-frames even if you did get the hit. They're similar as far as getting through a pallet goes but old DH was leagues stronger than Dramaturgy.

Use this perk for the loop. It's like the old DH but a little different. You're right about the need to be healthy, but trust me this perk makes it harder to get injured. When used correctly, it protects you from taking damage almost every time. I've been using Dramaturgy since the day it came out and I haven't regretted it, and neither will you.
I understand how it works but it can't be the strongest exhaustion for a reason you just pointed out, you have to be in a loop to get value. Compare this to Sprint Burst or Overcome which doesn't have an area of the map where it's bad. Lithe is a little bit of an exception to this because windows are everywhere and even if you're in a dead zone you can you the speed burst of getting it to make it to a place with a window.
Dramaturgy doesn't have this luxury you have to be positioned correctly from the start of the chase or you get 0 value and that is a serious weakness.

We won't know anything until Monday at the soonest but probably not until day of.

Have you ever used Dramaturgy for looping before?
No but I understand the principle of it, it's not a bad perk but it requires a couple things namely being healthy and having a pallet around to take advantage of the short speed burst.
You get caught in a dead zone and the perk barely does anything and can even be worse than nothing if you get exposed.
Not to mention you can't really bring strong items with it because they might get replaced.
-
My favorite survivor and map they've ever done.
Unknown is probably a bit above average for me in terms of killers.
I can't wait for next Tuesday.
-
Sprint Burst
Adrenaline
Lithe
Dead Hard
Overcome
Dramaturgy
Background Player
Balanced Landing
Smash Hit
Head On
Probably my ranking based on consistency.
My personal build at the moment is Overcome and I use it with Shadowstep to lose the killer then heal up with botany/self-care to do it all again. It's a little shocking that most of the time my boon stays up all game cuz the killer can't be bothered to put it out.
-
I would be okay with it being played later but not removing it entirely.

No. All the "cleanse one and done" hex perks are still complete trash, and aren't worth using. Allowing survivors to just delete a perk with a single cleanse, is a waste of a perk slot for killer.
This means killer is mostly just stuck with plaything or pentimento, which aren't really that popular, and honestly don't feel like they are as impactful as slowdown perks.
I mean I disagree I feel like I get a lot of milage out of them but maybe I'm just extremely lucky with my totem spawns.
And even if they get cleansed that's them not on gens so they're still useful.
-
A moment of silence for all the mending survivors had to do to make this possible.

Running into a lot with Distortion. Enough that I don’t even bother with aura perks anymore.
So what I'm hearing is it's time for hex builds to make a comeback.
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
Slowdown perks are the only reliable perks, because of distortion and calm spirit. Why should killers bother running tracking perks, if survivors can just bypass them? GE, PR, Corrupt, and Pop are all reliable perks, that survivors can't easily bypass, so of course they are going to be popular.
Running into a lot of people with calm spirit?
-
It's a shame cuz it's such a lazy build, I understand running 1 or 2 of these but running 4 is such overkill being run be people that bought into the lie that gens go too fast otherwise (spoiler: they don't, you just suck at applying pressure) and leads to so many honestly very decent and fun killer perks never seeing the light of day.
-
Imagine if people actually ran OTR. Or if people ran Babysitter and/or BT.
There are things to combat tunneling in this game but nobody runs them and then wonder why tunneling is so common.
Like I'm actually not kidding if every single person ran Babysitter/OTR you would see a full front page of threads with killers complaining that tunneling was impossible.

But they look so fun!
Tbf only the invocation is bad, Wicked is very mid and SiS is a good perk that only works if everyone thinks it's bad which they do so for now it's good if people catch on and start using it it might be mid hard to say.

Don't underestimate killers. How many tracking perks are there? If I'm using BBQ and I see people hanging out in the basement then I'm going to make it a point to visit the basement. If I get multiple people hooked there then it is game over. If I have nurse's calling and see someone healing on the basement stairs then they are done for. There are so many ways that this will go sideways for survivors.
BBQ is easy to play around and tbh the heal will probably be done by the time the killer makes it over there, Nurses I could be wrong but I feel like nobody uses it anymore the only one that's actually trouble is Ultimate Weapon and sure that would be bad but keep in mind you don't actually have to go into basement to use the perk just halfway down the stairs.
I feel like the level of efficiency which can reach CoH 1.0 levels or even surpass it is worth the trade off of having to be on a specific staircase to use it. It's just kinda funny to me people are bashing SiS so much when meanwhile most survivors heal under the hook all the time AKA the last place the killer saw them.
-
@Dreamnomad said:
The answer to your question is simple and obvious. The basement is extremely dangerous for survivors. It is one of those lessons most players learn early on in the game. There are 4 hooks right next to each other and one entrance. There is literally no location on any map that is more dangerous than that. So perks that require survivors hanging out there are inherently bad. At the very least, the pay off needs to be huge to be worth the risk and Sable's perks simply are not big pay offs. Maybe, maybe there can be an argument for the healing perk since you can heal on the staircase to the basement. But even then, the travel time to and from the basement off set the slight advantage it offers over self care in terms of healing speed.
And how often is the killer actually there?
-
High B Low A tier they're pretty good but not that interesting either. Will be rare after a couple weeks and everyone will mistakingly call them weak as a result.
-
I'm probably gonna slug anyway tbh you can only Unbreakable once and if everyone is on the ground or getting people off the ground they're not doing gens and that's good enough for me.
-
I know the post reads probably weird with me saying she's interesting to start and calling her shallow by the end so to clarify what I meant is the contradictions in her character run deep and those are interesting because it feels like Sable has an image of herself she wants to put out but she never really seems to back it up with her actions so figuring out who Sable really is is interesting but right now all we've been given is the image Sable wants to put out and her actual character as yet to be fleshed out.
-
Depends, If you play any S or A tier killer the game has almost gotten too easy but playing a C tier killer can still be miserable at times. Despite the overall power gap between killers being narrowed the general killer buffs and map changes will just always help the stronger killers more than the weak ones.
So killer is in a sense very strong right now but you have no reason to play half of the roster.
-
On one hand shack window going into a jungle gym window is indeed disgusting you're also playing Legion one of the worst killers in the game. Most S, A and even some B tier killers could still play around that and that's the best map RNG survivors could have gotten.
That's not a survivor issue it's a map RNG and playing a bad killer issue.
-
It's whoever is willing to bring meaner stuff sided.
-
It's 100% worth picking up as it's the strongest information perk in the game rn.
It's impossible to know where it'll be after the nerf but it would take a lot to make it a bad perk so it's a relatively safe investment. At worst they'll take the blindness away and put it on a longer cool down. Even if the attached it to hooks it still wouldn't be bad it would just be okay but I do think it would be overlapping with BBQ too much at that point which makes me skeptical they do that.

YASSSSSSSSSSS!
I’ve been wanting this for a long time! All items, add-ons and offerings should be shared across all Survivors! We should also be able to sell back stuff we don’t want if they don’t want to condense similar add-ons and offerings.
I hope it’s on their radar.
You understand that being able to sell add-ons back would inadvertently create infinite BP yes? It have have to be at a reduced price and at that point most add-ons are worth so little that's barely worth it.
-
Real talk if you're found first don't be afraid to predrop pallets sometimes if you know you're not gonna be left alone the rest of the game.
I play every game like I'm against Oni and it works for me, if they wanna tunnel I'm gonna make it as difficult as possible for them so even if they do tunnel me out by the time it happens the gens are done. If I'm lucky I frustrate them to the point of leaving me alone.

I find basement to be one of safest areas for survivor because a team that pressure gens hard makes killer not have time to check basement. It is little bit like lockers where time sink to check basement is too high. invocation perk have high probability to go off if killer is not bringing an info perk like BBQ. I suspect strength of the shadow will be a popular perk in Asia but it may become popular in NA/EU with Botany because 17 second heals is as fast old med-kits. Med-kit were very popular item in the past so a perk giving you a free original med-kit has potencial to be very common.
Not to mention you don't actually have to go into the basement, it triggers half way down the stairs.
-
If it makes you feel any better I don't tunnel.
I like to slug/snowball instead.
-
Why do people lose their minds over Franklin's?
Items are nice but they're not a necessity but people get themselves killed over trying to get them back. Bloodweb is cheap these days just get a new one.
-
Very good by itself and when paired with Streetwise probably one of the best perks in the game.
Very versatile too, can be used to crank gens in record time with toolboxes or with medkits to have better self-care.
-
I know it was clarified that the aura reading only works on the basement hook, I didn't hear anything about it only being first stage though.
-
What if you like didn't encourage the killer to slug you?
-
It's really unpleasant to play against but it's not OP or anything unless oddly enough you do it on Midwich cuz that map already has terrible hook spawns.
It just forces a terrible experience on everyone though cuz either you slug everyone through the Unbreakables or you just tunnel them out one by one. Where it gets really bad is if they have breakdown but that's thankfully rare. Squads like that don't beat me too often but it's never a fun game even if I win and I can't imagine they're actually having fun either crawling on the ground for 4 minutes.
-
It really is a skill issue, all a SWF has extra is better information so they're more efficient on gens but if you're getting beat in chases which a SWF has no bearing on that's a you problem.
Which this is only the competitive SWFs most are just friends messing around. What you're actually losing to is people actually caring cuz they're with their friends unlike soloQ where most people just play for themselves.

May I ask, what's your usual ping sitting around?
Usually around 32-54 although on a bad day it can go up to 60-75.
-
I'm relatively content with survivor at least when it comes to how the devs are treating the role, I do wish devs were bolder with their perk design if every perk was like a boon, invocation or trap and then pushed to actually be good I think the game would be a lot more interesting for survivor.
I think a lot of my frustration comes from other survivors, lately the amount of times I will take the killer on a minute plus chase and we still don't win because my teammates last 15 seconds in chase, die purposefully on hook, refuse to touch a gen, or sandbag me both accidentally and on purpose to get me killed is incredible.
If these people spent half the time getting good at survivor as they do complaining about survivor being too weak soloQ would be a much better place.
-
It depends on the killer IMO. For Huntress I don't think it's crutching because aura perks let you go for cross map hatchets and I'd say they naturally compliment the power and still allow for skill expression.
If you made this same post but said you play Nurse or Chucky who's one weakness is finding people in the first place but are oppressive in chase I'd probably agree with the survivors.
I don't think they're being hypocritical simply because yes simply judging from the beginning from the game you'd be right but WoO let's you know what pallets have been used already and that's not game sense it's literally just something you'd have no way of knowing if you're in soloQ so it more just closes the gap between soloQ and SWF.
