Yeah I got a lot of pallets dropped in my face that should have stunned me but didn't.
Glad to know I’m not the only one that noticed.

I feel a lot more relaxed playing now. I also have not been getting stunned by pallets either even when I should. I’m guessing its bug but hey, I ain’t complaining 💜

Why would I just point out the flagrant hipocrisy of his stance that PERFECTLY fit into the behavior I've just detailed?
Maybe because it's hilarious ?
I detail why their position is wrong and stupid and they need to stop, he replies with "oh yeah? you got all that from that post? Well let me quadruple down and do EXACTLY what you just describe and pretend you were wrong all along".
That's the thing, there's no debate here. People like him are certain they are right and can't be reasoned with since they only talk about feeling while I'm over here talking about facts. He literally think that you should never go after someone that got unhooked even if you just stumbled upon them, because you see.... he doesn't like that.
Welp, though luck love, doing stuff you survivor dont like is litterally the job of the killer and whining aobut it just show that you don't understand the point of the game.
”Welp, though luck love, doing stuff you survivor dont like is litterally the job of the killer and whining aobut it just show that you don't understand the point of the game.”
You Survivors? I literally said nothing and now you’re at me? What makes you think I’m a Survivor Main and why do you assume I’m whining? A Killers job is to kill, period.

Tunneling doesn't have to happen when the killer is at the hook. Even if the killer has left the area, coming back to the hook immediately after a save leaves no real opportunity to escape the area, between blood spots, scratch marks, and so on

You serious?
Damn you are way further gone that I initially thought.
So yeah, to answer your (frankly strange and empty) first question : Yes, I got all that from your first post, and your second proved that I was right, hell, it even proved I didn't realized how much worst you actually were.
But its pretty clear that you aren't really worth wasting much time trying to reason with, since you seem clearly incapable of such a thing, so let's just quote the very brief and elegant Crowman

I was actually enjoying you two’s debate until now. At this point you’re just throwing jabs with no substance :/ why?

All I’m seeing lately from killers is face camping and hard tunneling along with them trying to hold the game hostage and anytime any survivor escapes they start sending messages to every survivor on the team telling them to kill themselves, that they suck, and that they are horrible human beings. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t want to play this game anymore since the killer mains can’t seem to act like anything but 12 year old children that think they deserve everything in the world. It’s even more depressing that this isn’t just happening at the los ranks but at red ranks too as I am a rank 1 survivor and still see this behavior from rank 1 killers constantly.
I did get a toxic message from a Killer earlier who body-blocked me during EGC. I just killed them with kindness and told them “ggwp <3”. They never respond and they can’t really continue the toxicity when you show that you’re unbothered by it.

Okayish killer perks, useless survivor perks, underwhelming killer and no new map. Best DLC ever wdym
I don’t really care for the Survivor Perks either. And I agree, wish there was a new map. Best thing about this patch to me is Tricksters perks, Menu Music and Theme and some of the cosmetics. I also love that he laughs when people DC, helps me not take a game too seriously.

Thank you! someone who understands what I'm trying to say instead of repeating what's been said.
This is why I avoid the Forums once a new chapter is released. Its literally an echo chamber in the first week. I’ve tried to keep it that way since Rin was added in game because of how everyone ran with the narrative that she was bad/weak. Rin is the Queen of DBD right now.

For the people, off the record, and SB are the best 3 perks that will help with this. For the people is the best one of the three though.
The best one right now would be "For the people"
For the people immediately takes the pressure off of an injured survivor by instantly healing them, for example, the one just rescued from the hook. And it makes the user injured, encouraging the killer to switch targets.
Another one can be "Off the record"
It makes you have iron will for 80 seconds and you can't have your aura revealed as well. Perfect for hiding and sneaking around.
You can include SB too
SB is good for being unhooked because you can immediately run with SB active and ready to go, helping you get the head start on a killer who decides to tunnel you.
TIp: All you have to do to prevent your teammate from being tunneled is going for a SAFE rescue. If the killer is camping though, don't save without BT. Now your teammate has time to recover or do gens and you get extra points.
"If you needed DS to play the game and survive then you shouldn't have it." - Laurie Strode, probably.
Don’t forget soul guard IF the Killer slugs you.
-
Do people not enjoy his perks? I love them >.<

You know, this Res post is actually still pretty relevant. There's good info here for just about everyone. I have only one thing to add: DONT EVER PLAY TRAPPER UNLESS YOU'RE MEMEING.
Seriously, Trapper is just about the most frustrating killer in the game right now simply because of the new grass in half the maps. Any other killer you can take kind of seriously and have fun with, but as Trapper you absolutely will get back-to-back trials where you essentially don't have a power. No, worse: you waste your own time trying to use your power.
If you want a chill and stress-free time, maybe play Nurse. At least then you can just tell yourself that one day you will be a god amongst mortals.
Trapper used to be fun in Yellow ranks. Once you hit the Greens he gets a bit tough to do things with. But overall I do agree, this post can help a lot of people who want to pick up Killer and I appreciate everyone who posted useful and helpful information in here. 💜

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/119813/playing-killer-gives-me-anxiety
This reminds me of the old joke:
Patient: Doctor, it hurts when I move my arm like this.
Doctor: Don't do that.
You have answered your own question. If you don't enjoy Killer, don't play it. My experience is different from a lot of people that answered you. I never felt the kind of pressure or stress that you are experiencing. I suspect the difference is expectations. I go into new games and new roles expecting to be bad at them. I fully embrace that I'm going to lose. If you go into it with such a mindset, you aren't going to be triggered by setbacks.
As to how you keep up good map pressure, I wish I had a simple answer for you. It would take an essay, and I'm not adverse to writing it. It is just too early right now for me to get into that kind of detail. However, I will boil it down to the brass tacks. You pay a LOT of dues, i.e. hundreds of matches and hours in the game to develop the proper instincts of where to go and when. I can tell you, intellectually, how I decide but you still will not internalize it. At best, me giving you the instructions (and I will) will save you a few hours over how many I spent.
How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice. There is no magic bullet or shortcut. I knew the basics, i.e. the right steps right from the start. I had spent time watching videos and reading articles by people who are superstars. Their knowledge helped me, I'm sure, but knowing what to do and actually applying it aren't the same thing. It takes time to internalize and instinctually do what you intellectually know you should. Does that make sense? So in short, lower your expectations, and practice.
Weird that this was resurrected out of the blue...
But I do enjoy Killer..
I have anxiety when playing, but it doesn’t mean I don’t like playing Killer.
However, I do agree I have gotten a lot more practice since then and I found out that I’m a Hag main 100%. I really love playing defensively with her and I’ve toned down my expectations/wants when playing. @Echorion said it best and I wish I would’ve seen their response before.
Edit: change “his” to “their”
I don’t like to assume genders or put pronouns out there without permission to address someone as such.

Any behavior that's unusual, e.g. not you essentially. General odd behavior, you notice weird activity, etc. That's what I would assume would classify as suspicious behavior in general, at least.
In-game activity such as losing control of your character?
I'm on console, don't know if this effects me as much as it would PC players.

Rather than using that blanket statement, please say how DH and BT have downsides. Also adrenaline whilst we are at it.
By worse I mean better than (as in the survivor second chances are less powerful than noed) sorry, should have been more concise.
Also, I know some do, but the sheer volume of survivor second chances and the fact some of them have no counterplay means that just saying " killers have noed" is not enough. One does not amount to the 7 I have mentioned.
I never mentioned any of the perks you are asking me to explain the downsides of. I specifically mentioned DS, UB and Deliverance and I elaborated on why I think they indeed do have downsides.

Deliverance require you to have a safe unhooked and not be on your second hook yourself.
Which is another downside.

Ds' skill check you only miss if your new or bad. It's not a difficult skill check. Most people understand this . To pretend this isn't always viable is ridiculous.
UB, yeah you can still use the ability to massively reduce the killers pressure with very little counterplay or skill on your end. Usually this is viable, with very few times where it isn't.
Deliverance, I agree, but it's a broken status effect. It's not difficult to stealth in this game, especially since a lot of people run iron will. But yeah, this is one of the ones with a downside that is appropriate to the thing it gives (also you have to unhook someone to activate.
What about soul guard, dead hard, BT and since we are calling noed a second chance perk- adrenaline its counterpart.
The killer has 1, survivors have many and can use them many more times. To try and say these are worse than noed (which the person I first responded to did) is out right lies.
I don’t think anything is worse than NOED. I think everyone can use whatever damn perks they want to. The sooner people get that, the sooner the complaining will stop on both sides. However I’m not gonna pretend that 2nd chance Survivor perks don’t have any obvious downsides when they do.
-
@ilovedbd123 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2028086#Comment_2028086
No, because that takes their powers. That's not equivalent. Also most have a downside.
Second chances on the survivor side don't have a "downside" except that they may not be as good as other second chances.
Have to disagree.
DS: You can miss it.
UB: Only used once.
Deliverance: You’re broken for an amount of time thus being an easy target for the Killer.
Lets not pretend all Survivor “second chance” perks are always viable.
-
Complaining about BBQ is like complaining about WGLF. It rewards the Killer with extra points. If you’re complaining about the aura reading ability, walk in the complete opposite direction you were gonna walk for 5 seconds then turn around or just hide in a locker. Its not that big of a deal.
-
Iridescent Head is only for thrown hatchets, not her M1 attack.
This must have been a bug.
-
There is a current challenge on rift where people have to escape before you do.
I understand before this rift this was not always the case, but even then just run them out. I take that time to break pallets and mark traps on the floor with Hag for extra points.
-
Wish I could relate.
I always come up with the most random builds sometimes and even then, my games are never really fun :/

After getting those messages I would have just stayed in the locker forever lol.
Lol, I should have tbh xD
-
I had a challenge a few rifts ago where I had to stun the Killer with Head-on as Jane. I was the last Survivor and hadn’t been hooked yet but wanted to try and at least get the stun, but the Killer would not come towards the locker I guess because they were not a fan of Head On.
Either way, they ended up messaging me talking trash the entire time and bitching and whining that they were not gonna come to the locker. After about 2 mins of me explaining that I had a rift challenge and getting trash talked, I finally just gave up and got out of the locker and allowed them to down me. When I did, they left me on the ground to bleed out and swung at my down body the entire meter as I just laid there waiting to die.
I was proud of myself because I wanted to DC due to how much of a douche the Killer was being and having to sit there bleeding out for a whole meter but, I stuck it out like a champ 💜

I don’t need to know. I like playing Jeopardy at the first 30 seconds of game.

The only Killer I’ll hand my life too out of sheer “I don’t want to do this right now” is Freddy.

Just play the game and stop adding to the 3 trillion posts about NOED. You bought the game, therefore you have the right to use whatever perks you want.
