Yes I play killer in P100 onto main I barely had this issue when I used her if I knew a person had DS I’d slugged them before picking them up until their timer runs out. I know how to counter around that. I think killers needs to stop being babied just because they can’t get a kill not to mention you have Kaneki Nurse Blight and Billy who can quicky down u after using DS which is why I think DS should stay activated after all gens done because this has been a issue for a while. I feel like if killer scan have Noed Noway out Bloodwarden or remember me then I feel like why can’t survivors have DS?
And how would you do that when you slug them and they just start crawling through the gates? While you are powerless and just have to stand there while they and their friends tbag bc their friend is invulnerable. It deactivates at Endgame for a reason.

No, I'm saying Trapper needs more than just letting him tunnel after a basement hook.
The buffs he gets not being gigantic don't invalidate them existing, and they helped more than you might think. Remember, they also adjusted his trap spawn logic, and that was the biggest spike in power he'd had in years, it was pretty damn nice.
As for Hag, how far can they get in ten seconds…? A survivor can already destroy some of Hag's traps while she's indisposed, too, that's just how Hag works. Should that be the case? Eh, I'm not a Hag main. It is how she is now, though.
If this is really a big deal, though, those killers can be pre-emptively changed on the same PTB as these changes. It's not a hard wall, it's just something else to keep in mind.
But they won't be changed. And you know they won't be changed. I think intangibility is a horrible idea. DH for Distance was removed from the game for a reason.

This is like me saying sadako is better than billy and when confronted on such a statement just replying with "I disagree"
How is Spirit better than Springtrap? What, specifically, does she do better? He can get hits at just as many loops as she can. He has better mobility. He has built in Undetectable for 20 seconds. She can disappear for 5. So… tell me. What, exactly, does Spirit do better than Springtrap?

But having noed and no way out does??
I think NOED is a dumb perk. And No Way Out actually needs charged. It only extends the game by 60 seconds and doesn't guarantee anything. DS or OTR would basically be a guaranteed escape.

Honestly? Maybe. Maybe this would make Trapper just not worth it anymore. I suspect it probably wouldn't, but who knows, it might.
That doesn't make it good for the game for him to be able to win just based on a basement hook and a bit of RNG. It's still better for the game to remove it, and then for Trapper to be buffed elsewhere.
As an aside, Trapper does get buffed. Not very often and not by huge increments but it does happen.
As for Hag, it probably wouldn't be problematic for those traps to still get tripped, if that's how the code works out. She still can't hit them. Hag needs this less than Trapper too, she's on the weaker end but she's not a one-trick-pony like that.
So what you're saying is, "Trapper can go eff himself."
You're right. Trapper got a 5% haste for 5 whole seconds after he stands still for 2 seconds. Awesome buff! Really, just makes the whole killer worth it, you know? Basement? Who needs it? Just stand still for 2 seconds mid chase and get the smallest haste buff you can imagine.
And the invincible survivor can just run all over Hag's web and destroy as many traps as they can with Hag being unable to do anything about it. Just amazing game design.
-
You shouldn't get a free escape just because you brought a perk.
-
@jesterkind said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3951852#Comment_3951852
It's no collision and there's no reason Trapper's power should get special treatment. They'd walk over the traps and not trip them.
Now, I am no fan of Basement Trapper and I'd love to see that weakened so he can be buffed properly elsewhere, but lest you think this makes basement useless for Trapper, I'll remind you the person who unhooked them still has collision, both going into and coming out of the basement. Two opportunities to trap them still remain.
Please.
That would kill Trapper and you know it. The whole thing about the basement with Trapper is that you run the risk of getting two or more people trapped in the basement. Being able to run in for what would at best be a trade is BS and you know it. It would nerf the game's weakest killer considerably. Trading survivors out would be a losing situation for Trapper.
And they would NEVER buff him. He's been the game's weakest character for a decade, and they still never buff him. What about Hag? Would the invincible survivor set off Hag traps? Old DH for Distance did. How much are you willing to gut the game's weakest killers?
-

There's no reason to assume these questions don't have answers. For example:
How long? I have two answers. A while back I suggested it last ten seconds by default, but the timer gets paused for an additional ten seconds if you actually get chased, but if that's too complicated somewhere between ten and fifteen seconds would work.
When does it turn off? In addition to the timer running out, also when survivors perform Conspicuous Actions, which I would amend to also include any successful saves.
What about end game? Probably disabled, or replaced with a shorter period of Endurance just to ensure you can't be downed the second your feet touch the floor. This would need to be tested the most, I think.
You could've started out by asking these things in good faith, and I'd have answered.
What about Trapper? Does the unhooked survivor just get to walk out of the basement for free? Do they set off traps, but not get caught, or do they float over them like old DH?
Or Hag? How much are you willing to nerf the game's weakest killers, "fellow killer player?"
-

Well, two things to be said about that. The first is that this is a killer sided take, since I want anti-tunnel that cannot be abused, and the second is that I attempt to be measured and unbiased as much as possible.
Also, y'know, you haven't been here that long. I've made a lot of posts.
Is it really, though? Intangibility for every survivor off hook for how long, exactly? How long should survivors be allowed to just be… invincible? When does it turn off? What about end game? Are we back to the days of "unhook = free escape?"

If that's balanced properly, it'd be beneficial to everyone.
For instance, if a survivor gained intangibility instead of Endurance, you'd no longer have to deal with bodyblocking. You "lose" a tactic that it's generally a bad idea to rely on anyway, and in exchange, a really annoying survivor tactic is removed as well. Good trade as far as I'm concerned, as a killer player myself.
"Hello, fellow killer players."
-
I'd rather play against 20 Kanekis in a row than another freaking Springtrap.
-
Absolutely hate this killer with a burning passion. His teleport needs a warning, like every other killer with a teleport. It's absolutely busted. You have to run SB + Vigil or else you're just getting hit for free.
-
Right now survivor is unplayable because every match is against a killer that gets to teleport right on top of you with absolutely zero warning.
-
Well, everything else spends half the match completely muted, so…

Just because something is "weak" doesn't mean it's not unhealthy. The playstyle it incentivizes makes it unhealthy, it's the same reason STBFL was nerfed because certain killers made it disgusting.
I'm sorry, you haven't really expressed WHY it's unhealthy. What's wrong with "farming stacks" and then "getting hits?" If you have to spend a full minute farming stacks, then the hits, by definition, aren't free.

Doesnt mean pub players dont run MDR all the time, I agree good spirits use that combo, still the average spirit you will face has 4 slowdowns and MDR. And yet I will repeat, spirit is still stronger than ST by far.
Your average Spirit isn't running MDR because they can't track survivors without scratch marks. Unless they're running MDR + Cherry Blossom, which just… makes your power worse than Flute + Cap.

That doesn't make it "Unhealthy." It's quite a weak perk.

I'm really hoping this is a bug. If it's not a bug, I took 2 weeks off work for nothing. We all already know this is just a rehash of the same anniversary event from last year and the couple years before then. There is nothing new to see here. The big draw for the anniversary is what few cosmetics you earn and the items and cakes. Especially the cakes. If I spend 1 million BP and get two anniverrsary cakes, I'll simply not bother to play and probably just go back to work early.
This is a SERIOUS disappointment if it can be fixed very soon!I manually spent for this reason. I had a feeling something like this would happen.

With the amount of BPs you typically get from the anniversary, its not a bad idea to spend abit on whatever killer your gonna play as to grab some anniversary cakes. They're kind plentiful, lol. I just bought 3 prestige levels on springtrap.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/6TBW3YXZTE88/1000001785.jpg

Which is what I'm going to do. I'll just play Rize. Though I'm only mediocre with her, so I'll have to play sweaty af and won't bring any BP offerings since I don't want to stack them on a killer I don't really play.

Like….breathe….its gonna be okay. Chill.You’re acting like I disagree. I don’t. They should keep spirit in mind when we are creating abilities for survivors that counter her so she too can have fun in the event which will be the last.
I know it's going to be okay. I'll just go be the sweatiest, most miserable Kaneki to play against that I can and refuse to bring BP offerings since I don't want to stack them on a killer I rarely play.

Like people are saying she's not unplayable but why play a character that has things hindering her performance when you can choose someone that doesnt rely on hearing.
Yup. The whole thing is just a giant middle finger to Spirit mains. She's pretty much the only killer really effected by it.

These events always have a tendency of having different effects on different killers. Lights Out made Legion hella strong. Fortunately you can just not use Spirit in the event gamemode and play normal gamemode with her instead.
Which means I won't get any of the cosmetics. Yay. So I either get nothing, have to play a different killer, or just not play at all. Full sweat Kaneki it is. No BP offering, since I'll be buying those for Spirit. If I can't have fun with the event, then no one can. Yay.
-
@Hannacia said:

Oh, yeah. I'll probably just use Kaneki now. I won't be bringing any BP offerings, though, since I'll be buying them for Spirit, and I can't use Spirit, which means fewer BP for everyone involved. And I won't be playing nice or farming. I think I'll go out of my way to make the experience as miserable for survivors as I can. If I can't have fun, neither can they.

They’re not permanent. Use SPIES.
Are you being intentionally obtuse, or do you just not play the game? You use phase, they activate Quiet Mode, wasting your phase. You then have to wait out their Quiet Mode in order to use the chase power on you 110% killer. Then you try to phase again, and they use Quiet Mode AGAIN, and you have to wait that out to. It literally adds 30+ seconds to every chase. Spies will do nothing.
-
One is a complaint in general discussion. The other is a suggestion in Feedback.
-
@MechWarrior3 said:
15s = unplayable? Unplayable is if the killer is kill switched or spirit has a bug so she can’t phase.
Just uses spies if you need the extra help because of that power up
Every time you try to phase against someone, they'll just activate Quiet Mode. For every survivor you chase, you'll have to burn through 2 of them. It'll easily quadruple your TTD.

That map's spawn logic in general is a mess which is caused by a mix between it being multi-layered and its doors that are closed at the beginning but open ag the end. A hook thats TECHNICALLY 4 meters away takes a detour and a half to get to. Im not even talking about just HOOK spawns because things like Onryo's TVs are similarly messed up by closed doors. Once the team has some gens done, hooks are way easier to get to.
FORFORTUNATELY... map offerings are kinda dead so even if you do find a bad hook area on a map, a team can't reliably take you there to abuse it.
True. Then again, we can't really accuse BHVR of being intelligent. They, in their infinite wisdom, decided to bring back "Quiet Mode," which makes Spirit unplayable for the Anniversary. Yaaaaay.
-
@LordGlint said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3951480#Comment_3951480
Most maps have gotten much better about this. Generally from any specific location a survivor goes down, there's going to be multiple hooks within range. The hooks respawning after survivor death essentially fixed hook deadzones and I CHEERED when that came along. Funnily enough since you brought up Legion... he's actually pretty good at countering this since he can keep survivors injured and you dont want to stay together against him.
I know I've seen YouTube videos of SWF teams bodyblocking hooks, but often times the common denominator of those videos is a killer who's painfully bad. The SWF probably tried it several times and only posted the 1 game they got a Nemesis who missed 5 punches at the hook.
Some have. Others have not. Getting to hooks on the Game, for instance, is a nightmare and a half. You'll often have two hooks you can theoretically get to, yes, but they're so far away from each other that once you commit to one, you're committed. You're either getting that hook or nothing.
-
@LordGlint said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3951474#Comment_3951474
The speed of the sabo itself is fast for sure. The counterplay comes before you get to that point. They have to get to the hook before you. If you see someonerunning to the hook you'regoing to, pivot immediately and go to a new hook. Do not just meet them ghere and go "that darn sabo came out of nowhere". You are not a bot, lol.
I'm being unclear, which is my fault. A solo queue successful sabo is honestly impressive. A swf sabo, not so much. They've already set up a place to go down that only has one nearby hook. That hook gets sabo'd the moment you start picking up a survivor. If you don't have agitation or Iron Grasp, you're just screwed.

@LordGlint said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3951460#Comment_3951460
For sure, but they are still a part of the game and can be played around. It would be one thing if it was some kind of exploit or something... but thats not the case.
If a sabo play is happening and the killer didn't notice it in time to pivot and walk to a different hook... they got outplayed. The best they can hope for is to drop their current survivor and chase the new one. That at least is still providing pressure. It wouldn't make sense for the survivor to make the correct call, be sneaky enough to outplay you and you still get the hook.
I personally think that hook denial should be more difficult, because it overall affects weaker killers more than stronger ones. Blight can run off and get another down relatively quickly. Legion probably just lost the game off of that one save.
That, and being able to negate the last 30-60 seconds of the killer's time in a game where time is so valuable should be extremely difficult to pull off, not made easier with every adjustment. Flashlight saves are gimme's these days, hook sabo's are near instantaneous with the right toolbox. Pallet saves are the only save still requiring an ounce of positioning or good timing.
-
Wow. No nerfs to Springtrap's teleport is an interesting choice.

I see nothing wrong with this. Get things over with so everyone can go next.

@Orthane said:

@LordGlint said:
That would completely kill sabo plays in general. The wiggle bar only HAS 16 charges, so... the killer could drop, chase the sabo player off after they successfully sabotage a hook and be able to essentially have an entire wiggle bar to get to another hook (13.6 seconds instead of the full 16 seconds).
It would also allow killers to carry survivors indefinitely. Carry a survivor for 10 seconds, drop for 14ish and repeat. It's a time waste for sure, but its also a hostage situation.
Sabo plays are one of the most obnoxious things in the game. And often leave the survivors in a worse position than they were before they tried to sabo. "Oh, now I have a slug that I put down, and a fresh down to go hook nearby because they committed to the sabo in my face."

Disagree on the spirit. Her addons got heavy nerfed and she isnt as strong as everyone makes her out to be. Dracula can do what she can do without being 110. Her cooldowns got nerfed too. Actually Dracula can do more than she can without being 110. Spirits biggest enemy is pallets and Dracula can shoot over those.
Also now behaviour is releasing more and more quiet survivors and maps have a lot of extra sounds..and dont even get me talking about lery's map and the sounds the middle does. Sounds being all over the place in this game anyways doesn't help spirit one bit atm.
I disagree.
Spirit has a better phase than Dracula, and it's not even close. Spirit blocks pallets and controls loops in a way that Dracula cannot. Her Husk is as much a part of her power as the phase is, and can body block survivors from dropping pallets, vaulting windows/pallets, or exiting through doors. Also, she can attack directly out of phase while Dracula has a two second cooldown. Not only that, but survivors can SEE Dracula. Spirit, they have to rely on DBD's wonky directional audio.
The only thing that Spirit phase has in common with Dracula bat form is that they can't see survivors and must rely on sound. Bat form is primarily a traversal tool that can sometimes be helpful in chase. Phase is a chase tool that can sometimes be helpful in map traversal.

I think that out of the killers that are 110% she is the most justifiable one since her power does allow for free movement and high mobility, so her chase is better than the others. That being said, I wouldn't be against making her 115% , but the others should be a priority.
I think of all the 110% killers, she is the most justifiable to buff to 115%. The rest are projectile killers. Spirit, in essence, is a dash killer. One with a very long cooldown. Every other dash killer is 115, except Chucky, but Chucky is also 2 feet tall.
-
@GlamourousLeviathan said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3951374#Comment_3951374
I think that the only killers that make sense being 110% on a gameplay perspective are Hag and Spirit. Hag because she doesn't need to chase in the first chase, and Spirit because her power is a universally good antiloop. Deathslinger, Huntress, and Chucky should not be slower, specially since they don't have any map pressure in the first place and their chase powers aren't that crazy in the first place. I guess Chucky made some sense when he has Scamper, but since they removed that his chase doesn't justify the slower movement speed anymore.
I guess if they buffed these killers in other ways the 5% reduces movement speed wouldn't be that terrible, since I suppose that if they had as good of a chase and macro as Artist or Blight they would be viable regardless, but as it stands it feels like an unnecessary hindrance.
I'm sorry, if Dracula, Vecna, Blight and Billy get to be 4.6, there's no reason Spirit should have to be 4.4.
-
So in your scenario, you were on hook and your friend was downed. Why are you assuming that the killer would wait for the mori? They could have just… picked up and hooked your friend. Game over.
