I think they're a massive problem for streamers and a very small problem for everyone else.
Definitely worthy of attention, but solo queue buffs should be top priority.

The ones having a "good" time in solo q are always the ones with killer sided posts on the forums. Makes you think.
Or maybe their posts aren't so much "killer sided", but honest takes form people with a sense of both sides, and who understand the struggles of both sides*. I think it's a matter of perspective, but I don't think people who main one side or the other are really the best arbiters of what is a "killer sided" or "surv sided" opinion. A centrist position will always seem partisan when you are on one of the extremes.
I am having a good (not great) time in solo. Solo needs help more than ever, but it's not torture. I don't expect everyone else to feel how I feel (though I think many people who think solo is pure torture genuinely can't comprehend someone not feeling the same way), but I really think those who are just intransigent in their position that playing solo is worse than waterboarding are in an emotional, irrational state, and probably need to take a break.
*certainly there are killer mains pretending they play solo, but there are just as many surv mains pretending like they play killer, so I think that's a wash.

I'm not saying I'm glad he's taking a break, but it's certainly good for his sanity. I'm just tired of all these "streamer xy told us the truth and we stop using our own brain" posts. I will never understand why you always have to mention content creator in the forum to support your own opinion. Maybe that's why I react sarcastically to such posts.
I get the sentiment that people should "use their own brain", but I think a lot of people quote or link content creators because it is simpler, and in reality, just as often we gravitate to certain creators because they resonate with us, not because we need to be told what to think (though some certainly do).
And not all of us are content creators, or have the time for content creation (or a team to help us craft our thoughts into a nice, clean and readily digestible format).
I have opinions, and could write a wall-of-text dissertation here, but who would actually read it? It's often simply much easier to find an existing piece of content that is close to my own thoughts and link it. A well put together video will always be more effective than a novel length forum post, regardless of "originality".
Also, a hot take/hard truth: we all like to think we're unique little snowflakes, but no one's opinions are all that original. Our opinions are all informed to some degree by the collective. If you have a theory/analysis about something, you'll almost certainly be able to find a video echoing that quite easily.
I'm going to be immune to irony here and mention that Scott did a vid on reverse appeal to authority some time back which sums it up, but rejecting someone's take because they use a content creator's video as support is just as asinine as only using videos.
As for the topic, it's a bummer because Otz is one of the better (if not the best) high visibility ambassadors for DBD, and someone who at least portrays everything in as wholesome and positive a light as possible, so I think BHVR would be wise to examine why he is taking a break, and what they can do to address the issues that motivated him.

On a tangent, not that these stats mean much, but I just noticed that Sadko and Dredge are in the top three killers for kill rate over the last 30 days on Nightlight. (It’s Sadako, Nurse and Dredge in that order.) Obviously I don’t put much stock in these individual killer numbers on this site since its they’re based on voluntary uploads and swing pretty wildly month to month, but thought it was a funny coincidence since the thread is complaining about both of them. 🙂
I have found that Sadako is an god-tier noob stomper, which I think is the biggest thing wrong with her ranking. Once you progress her into higher MMR, things get rough, quick.
I think Dredge's kill rate is also a little inflated for the same reason, but Dredge has much better viability at higher ranks.
As for the topic, I don't feel like Dredge is all that add-on dependent, though it certainly has some good ones.

Spirit. For my first few hundred hours of DBD pretty much all I did was play Spirit, and I loved it. But I am deaf in one ear, so needed to use prediction to be effective, and her nerf kind of eliminated my ability to do that effectively (at least against good survs), so using her now is not great for me.
And that makes me sad.
Also, I wish Hillbilly's power was more accessible.
But #1 might be Oni. One of my earliest DBD aspirations was to become a really good Oni, but I just can't with his power on console.
I would say the same of Blight and Nurse, but I don't really want to become part of that problem.
-
I faced this in solo last night, but it was executed very poorly by the killer. Down to 1 gen with no one near condemned and they still kept trying.
It's annoying to go against, not as bad as a slowdown Legion.
-
The Wesker tide seems to be receding a bit, but I still see him in nearly half my matches. Nurse, Huntress, and oddly a lot of Myers the past few days as well.

i come from csgo, league, and overwatch, you can have both trust me. Just like i said people will be toxic if you don’t participate, they will be toxic if you do participate. You’ll have people who throw because you dont wanna play by their stupid rules and people who rage quit and throw slurs around because you made a single mistake. Hell there are people on this forum who literally say they leave lobbies if there’s a survivor below prestige 3. If you really want to be able to communicate with your teammates, just find a swf. Its not even a matter of how many friends you have, there’s a dozen if not hundreds of discord’s dedicated to dbd streamers who have L4G voice chats. Wanting to communicate with potentially everyone all the time is not feasible or a good use of Bhvrs time.
I agree with this. I am a big fan of adding some more info into the solo equation, but VC would be too much, and lead to increased expression of toxicity, which is the last thing this game needs.
Not to mention that I don't think BHVR would have any desire to code that in.
-
It would be kind of neat to have something to differentiate survs from each other in game, but that would really complicate things for the killer. Killers are unique in same way, but there is only one killer in every match. If this were implemented, the static perk would have to be in place of one of the perk slots, otherwise the killer would essentially have to game around 20 perks instead of 16, which is hard enough.
And I don't see people being okay with that.
I think the survs essentially all being the same with minor variation is feature and a bug. What if you really like a surv's lore and appearance, but hate their base "trait"? Or vice versa? I like the fact I can pick a surv I like, and outfit them (perk/addon wise) however I want.
I see merit to the suggestion, but ultimately I think survs are they way they are because it keeps things from being over complicated, and allowing for maximum customization, which I think is a big reason surv players are surv players.
-
Survivors aren't a team, but they aren't independent, either. You don't get a win for being the last surv alive, and without your team, you're almost as good as dead unless in endgame.
So much like the real world, you don't have to be tight with the people you are working with, but there is usually a fair bit of interdependency. The best predictor of you escaping is how well your team is doing.

When it works, absolutely. I have often said that if you find yourself in a bag of potatoes, you're almost certainly also a potato.
But lately, I don't think MMR has been working as intended, to say the least.
-
It sounds harsh, but it is something that bears repeating: if your internet sucks, you shouldn't be playing real time, online multiplayer games.
If this happens to you a lot, it is 100% on your end.
Your bad internet isn't a free pass, and if you keep loading up into games knowing your internet is an issue, you're being kind of a selfish jerk, and you have fault. It's not the fault of the service if you lack the resources to access it properly.
I get it. From like 2002 - 2017 I lived in a mountain town where the best internet money could buy was like 10 up/2 down, on a good day, and never consistent. Games like DBD would have been impossible to play consistently, so I rarely tried. Not fair, but until we have some sort of global internet standard (lmao), it just is what it is.
If you think you have good internet, try replacing your cables (this is often overlooked), your router, and reset your modem every so often. And avoid WiFi.

I want to add on to this.
Random People: Stop leading the killer to gens that are almost done I do not care if you want others to take aggro cause you can't. Stay away from gens that are almost done
To be fair, sometimes it's on accident, especially in solo. There have been plenty of times where I was running and running and realized at the last second I was about to lead the killer right to a nearly finished gen, and then took a hard turn or thrown on the brakes.
But yeah, unless it's Bubba, stay on that gen. A finished gen is almost always worth a lot more than a health (or even hook) state.
To me, that is one of the first steps a baby surv takes in their growth - not running as soon as the killer gets close - and an easy way to identify the noobs (who will always bail).
On a related note: I never understood the notion that finishing a gen in the killer's face is somehow "disrespectful". I know I am probably going to pay with a hooking for doing it, but it's valuable. And I've always understood that as a killer, too. It's not lack of fear/respect, it's sacrificing something for the finished objective.
-
Honestly, and this is from someone who plays a pretty even killer/surv split (well, a lot more surv recently with the incentives), I've always felt like a 60/40 or 55/45 in favor of the killers felt right to me.
My perspective/sensibility on this is mainly as a horror fan, but I feel as a survivor up against a powerful killer, you should feel like escape is the less likely outcome. Like, "I'm probably going to die here, but if things go right, I might escape". Not hopeless, mind you, just not even odds. I came into the game when I first started playing, it seemed only natural that most of the survs should die, and that making it out of trials was meant to be an accomplishment.
Just my own feeling, of course, but I feel it's reasoned.
I don't know that I would play survivor as much if I felt like the odds were in my favor, it just wouldn't be as fun for me.
But also it's an unbalanced, asymmetrical game. a 50/50 shouldn't really be the expected rate.
I see people up in arms about the whole 61/39 thing, and frankly I don't see the big deal. I'll take 40% escape rate in solo, thanks (assuming I do as I usually do and give myself up a lot).
I also think that when solo gets its buff, we'll see things settle in the 55/45 range, which is where I would say BHVR is looking to have it, if I were a betting man.

Yeah, every damned time (actually like half the time, but it feels like every time). It makes me insane, since those comprise like 90% of all my "missed" skill checks.
Super frustrating; just as you start letting go of the button, you hear the skill check sound, and it's like god. damn. it.
Don't think there's anything that can be done, unless they implement some sort or technician/corrective action effect when the button is released within .25 secs of a skill check or something. But if they did, I'm sure it would be abused somehow.

How? How can it possibly be as rewarding? If you don't pick your teammates you are going to have a lesser experience than if you do. This applies to literally every team based game in the history of games.
If you removed the portion of survs that plays only solo, you'd lose well over half your player base on that side. ~50% of games include a full solo team. Something like 5% of games have a 4 person SWF, so that means over 90% of games have at least one solo/random in them. Balancing around the four man is absolutely not the way to go.
People who play in groups have this feeling that most people do the same, but that's not remotely true. Would it be ideal? Well, yeah, but that's not the reality we're operating in here.
If you balanced the game around 4 man SWF, you'd have to buff killer even more. Significantly more. You think solo is bad now? It pales in comparison to what a game balanced around SWF would be. Current solo would seem like a cakewalk; it actually would kill the game. The vast majority of survs are solo players; if you make the game only really playable in a group, those people aren't going to go find people to play with (which they would already have done, probably), they'll quit altogether.
Fortunately, balancing around 4 man would be an almost impossible task for BHVR, in addition to torpedoing their own game.
What needs to happen, and what I believe will happen, is to give some tools to solo in order to bring it in the direction of SWF, in the form of information. In match activity icons, more lobby info, etc. Just a bit of what SWF has will do wonders for game balance.
-
We're a solo queue buff from them game being in the best state it's ever been, and I am having fun. Not perfect by any means, but I definitely feel like things are moving in a good direction.
-
FNAF. I don't like it as a game and I don't like the potential fit, but that's ultimately just a matter of taste, and I don't begrudge anyone who does like it.
The Scott Cawthon stuff is just the cherry on top for me.
Also Alien. I love the Alien franchise, but I just don't see the fit. I just can't see the Xenomorph doing anything but ruthlessly killing, and I don't think it would be prone to manipulation/direction by the entity.
-
The fundamentals of the game don't suddenly change in the endgame, or when NOED procs. The killer still has to catch and hit you, and if they had trouble with that prior to the last gen being completed, they'll probably still struggle. The killer will not suddenly get better just because they have endgame perks.
There is no such thing as a "free" endgame kill, unless you get cocky, careless, and complacent as a surv.
Assume NOED, assume Bloodwarden, and know what the possibilities are.
The endgame isn't supposed to be a victory lap for the surv team.
-
I bet killers who build around endgame and screw off beforehand really put OPs knickers in a twist

As a killer, I love those players
It's amazing how insistent they are that I chase them and when I don't, they just stay on my ass trying to get me to chase them. It's free pressure! I especially like getting messages from them later asking if I was scared or something 🤣
For sure, as a killer, having a surv following you around begging for a chase is an absolute gift. The more desperate a surv acts for attention, the less likely I am to give it to them, because they are throwing the game for their team. Keep on clicking and teabagging champ.
As a surv, a teammate who can actually loop a killer for a long time (not just think they can) is a huge boon. That said, I don't see it that much. Good killers just aren't going to allow themselves to be looped for a long time, if the surv is running them all over, they drop.

I usually have at least 2-3 per game on the killers that I kill/try with.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZJLTU5V7YF5K/image.png
Most metric sites are a bit screwy right now (due to adapts/new char drops/etc), but this seems pretty accurate (pre-Wesker, at least) given my own experience.
IIRC, that 23% rate is like half of what it was before 6.1.0? Kinda backs up what I was thinking about it still being meta, but only above a certain MMR level. Like when I face the occasional potato squads, not many of them are running it. There's a skill floor on it now where there wasn't before.

Survivor queue time is like 20s and killer queue time is like 30s for me.
Yeah, I am loving it. My surv queue times used to be several minutes ( and so long late at night I didn't even bother), and my killer times were instant.
Now my surv times are like instant-10 seconds, and my killer queue times are in the 30-45 second range. I will take that change all day.
I see surv BP incentives up until about midnight, then it usually flips for me. I've just started planning around that cadence.
-
I miss the extra BP, but I don't miss feeling like I had to run BBQ. And since the bloodweb price cut, I'm not feeling the pinch as much by playing killer.
-
I think you see it at least as much as before, but only above a certain level. I don't think noobs get much value out of it, and don't run it. I see it a fair bit, but not on 2-4 survs every single match like it used to be.
I also think getting near the top of surv perk use rates isn't as hard as it used to be, since the top 4-5 aren't head and shoulders above the rest, carved in stone anymore.

Does not change the fact that if the Survivors try to do Gens and you are only scaring them away without any intention to actually chasing them, that YOU as the Killer, are holding the game hostage at this point.
At some point both parties have to commit to try to get their Objective done. For Survivors it is to try to repair Gens even if the Killer is in a strong 3-Gen. And for the Killer it is to commit to a chase, risking that the other person might get the Gen done in 90 seconds.
It's holding the game hostage if you cannot progress the game. Dying is progression. A killer trying to find the hiders is attempting to progress the game. Playing hide and seek and never touching a gen is not progression, or even an attempt at progression.
As a surv, I'd much rather die than than spend half an hour in a pig headed delay of an unwinnable situation.
If the three gen is so strong you literally can't progress at all if the killer doesn't leave, what is the point of having a standoff? I'll lose, but it has to be on my terms? In a chase? That's entitled toddler logic. Also, it's nothing so honorable as "come chase me and I'll stop hiding". That almost never happens. They hide, and hide and hide some more, until they screw up and get seen.
And again, in virtually all of these scenarios, including the OPs, the killer has gone out in search of the survs at some point, so they're holding up their end of your "both sides have to commit" bargain. But in almost all of these scenarios, the survs do nothing but hide. One is left with no conclusion other than the hiders are just spiting the killer because they can't win, or to trying to see if the other is found first.

"All 3-gen situations are the fault of the survivors"
Yes, because there have never been killers in the history of DBD, that have ever purposely picked out a nasty 3-gen either right from the start of the match or middle of the match and spent the rest of the game being territorial and sticking around that one area. /s
So when I'm trying to do the gen in front of the Myers house on Haddonfield to avoid getting 3-genned, and the Legion keeps pushing me off of it and kicking it with Overcharge while refusing to chase me or any of my teammates away from that house, and my teammates end up doing all the gens on the other side of the map (because I'm not sure if you know this or not, but most survivors prefer doing gens in areas where the killer isn't around, especially against a Legion where they'd risk giving a 5-hit down) is it still me and my team's fault that we're 3-genned even though the killer was the one being stubborn from the getgo and there was literally nothing we could do to avoid it?
It's fairly rare for a killer to sit on the same three gens all game, or for RNG to be so giving. But yeah, it happens on occasion. And in the overwhelming majority of the instances like the one the OP described, that is not the case. And good teams will break early three gens far more often than not, even if the killer sets out to hold them.
RNG giveth, and RNG taketh away. Killers are just as often rendered essentially helpless by RNG. Feels bad, but what can you do?
But we're kind of dancing around the core issue here, so let's just cut to the heart of the argument:
What is "holding a game hostage"? To my mind, it is preventing the game from progressing, up to and often including leaving the aggrieved party no alternative to get out of the game but to DC. Outside of hacking, there aren't many ways to actually take a game hostage.
Survs locker hopping and intentionally doing nothing but trying not to be found is probably the most common (again, outside of hacking) form holding a game hostage takes. Yes, the killer can find the hiding survs, but this is often a laborious and enormously time consuming task, and on many maps, almost impossible if the survs are any good.
Other than physically blocking a surv into a corner and refusing to move, there really isn't any way for a killer to do this. Sitting on a three gen is NOT taking a game hostage. It is trying to prevent the survs from escaping, but the killer isn't hiding, and there is a clear and probably expedient route of progression. It's just not one the survs like, which is what it boils down to. It's death, but it's still progression.
So no, the two things are not the same.
And let's not be disingenuous here; I've been in many of these situations as a killer and a surv. The vast majority of the time, once the 2 survs realize they're screwed, they either lean into it or they go incognito almost immediately. They don't lay low and then poke their head out to see if the killer is willing to chase, at least so rarely that you can say it doesn't really happen.
They hide until you find them, one turns on the other, or the killer DCs.
As for me, I may wait for a minute or two, but if it seems the other person is just going to wait it out, I just jump on a gen and roll with whatever happens.
-
I saw a vid the other day (I can't for the life of my recall whose it was now) where Coldwind was displayed with the lighting from each of the other realms, and many of them were a lot better. I have to say my favorite was Coldwind with the Haddonfield lighting, but that's probably objectively too dark.
I think we could spit the difference and make it a twilight map, I do think it is too bright.

You can get banned if you are holding the game hostage. 3-genning is one thing. 3-genning and then never intending to actually chase the Survivor is another.
That's a false equivalency.
Defending a strong 3 gen is not remotely holding the game hostage in the same way locker hopping or hiding for 30 minutes is. Painting yourself into a corner does not compel the killer to escort one of your teammates on a tour of the map so you can get a possible out from your screw-up. The game can progress, it will just progress via your death. That's how it goes sometimes.
If you and your team allowed yourselves to be three genned so badly that you can't even progress one, that is your fault. There was the whole match up to this point to avoid the three gen. You lost, face the music.
The notion that the killer is somehow at fault for not allowing themselves to be baited from defending a trap of the surv's own making is total entitlement. That's like getting caught one move from an unavoidable checkmate in chess, then leaving the board and accusing your opponent of delay.
I've been in this position numerous times as a surv. Try to complete the gens in futility, get sacrificed (or maybe get hatch), move on to the next. The killer is not holding you hostage be refusing to give you a mulligan. Life will go on, I assure you.

Before CoH was heavily nerfed, I would have agreed. But people don't boon every game, or even every other game, in my recent experience.
And if there is some goober on my team going around throwing down Shadow Step or Dark Theory boons or something, I might cleanse all the bones out of spite, lol
In fact, I could argue that using any non-CoH boon (or least least blessing a totem without CoH) is a much bigger throw than cleansing dulls.

Those damned teens, huh? Okay, boomer.
(just kidding, I am probably one of the oldest people here)
Yeah, they're miserable to face. Almost always an escape, almost always a tedious, miserable slog to get there. The 1-2 of being weak and boring.
But I've only been playing Dead by Wesker for the past couple of weeks, so all non-Wesker killers are but fading memories.
-
I'm less bothered that everyone seems to be running it than by the fact the seemingly every killer with it comes straight for me first, lol.
But seriously, it's really useful for like a few seconds, and beyond that only marginally, if you're running other aura perks. So 1-2 perks slots for only a burst of value. It feels bad when the killer is immediately on you, but it's fine.
-
Not to be mean/harsh, but if your internet is so unstable that you can get to the 24 hour ban solely because of it, you shouldn't be playing online multiplayer games. The game can't know the difference between your net kicking you and you pulling out the ethernet cable. The only way to assure that you don't get banned is to get rid of the penalty altogether, and that's just a non-starter.
It hasn't happened often, but in cases where my internet kicked me more than once in a play session, I just played something offline. If it's consistently an issue, you either need better internet, a new router, or to not play multiplayer online games. Not fair, but it is what it is.

If Pentimento is in play, yes. With the NOED nerf, debatably yes. If someone in the team has Circle of Healing, yes. If you have Inner Healing and no CoH in play, no.
If you’re going to do it, just make sure you’re not leaving remaining dulls near the basement and/or exit gates.
The problem is that if the killer is smart, you're not going to know Pentimento is in play until several totems are already cleansed. And it's not run nearly enough to assume it is.
To me, cleansing dulls is always kind of a 50/50 in terms of potential value/risk. Then only times I've gotten mad at a teammate for doing it is when I have seen them cleansing a dull at a really time sensitive point on the game, when there is something else they should obviously be doing.
-
I usually don't "choose" who I am going to let go, it just kind of plays out that way. In the situations I do pick someone out, it's almost always because they are awful and MMR screwed them, or because their teammates were being nasty to them, in which case that feels fair to me.
Yeah, when you die and are spectating, and see the killer spare someone else for what may feel like arbitrary reasons, there's sometimes a twinge of irritation, but it's hardly something worth building injustices about. Most often it's just random, sparing the last person who happened to be alive. There will be times the person spared is you, and there probably won't be a clear reason then, either.
I'm gonna guess that anyone who has a real, gnawing problem with this sort of thing is probably the same sort of person who gets bent out of shape about things like student loan forgiveness or any sort of charity in general, and it probably generally irritated that the whole world isn't a flat meritocracy. The universe isn't even handed, and something good happening to someone else isn't automatically at your expense.
This isn't a scenario like treating your children equally or something. It's just how things go sometimes.
Now if the killer and said survivor had some sort of arrangement coming into the match, that's one thing. But other than that, people just need to get over it.
-
No. It can prevent NOED, it can remove dulls for Undying to send a Hex to, it might be for Inner Healing or Overzealous, or a number of other totally legitimate reasons.

On a somewhat serious note, if anyone has genuine academic interest in the subject, there is a book I read some years ago (while taking an evolutionary psych course) when I was in college called Deadly Powers: Animal Predators and the Mythic Imagination that really delved into this subject, and promoted the idea that being killed/consumed is so foundational a human fear that it underpins much of our collective consciousness and informs almost all of our mythmaking.
Speculative, but makes a lot of sense.

i really don't want to be making a semiserious post in this thread of all threads. but.
you said "[amputation and vore] might cross a visceral line for a lot of other people", but we have some killers doing some nasty stuff in this game both as gameplay mechanics and as moris. in terms of mechanics, plague takes the cake, eats it, then regurgitates it directly onto everyone else's faces. we now have wesker, who fills survivors with worms. pyramid head's cages have an argument here. and then moris? hooh boy. clown and the way he severs different fingers based on your survivor's gender which definitely implies sexual intent. dredge... you know. plague literally vomits into peoples' open mouths. artist forcefeeds you birds which explode out of your stomach. the list goes on.
if this game were shying away from things that were gruesome, i certainly haven't noticed. so i genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, do not see why a vore killer would cross the line. a monsterous frog that coats people in digestive juices and when they get too covered they become mori-able like sadako and he just eats them? honestly i'm. i'm not seeing many reasons as to why not.
and. may i just be daring enough to suggest.
if they do add a vore killer it might be first time a killer gets added and people are eager to play survivor.
I was being only semi-serious myself, but if you want to get into the evolutionary psychology side of things, very few things are as primally disturbing as the idea of being eaten. More than the general concept of death itself, or of the other various forms of violence we see in DBD. This goes back our earliest, and even pre-human days, for reasons that should be obvious: we spent thousands of years not just trying to survive, but specifically trying avoid being eaten, especially eaten alive.
This is why many people find the Clown's mori (which is just the suggestion of wholesale consumption), while being far less violent/brutal than most, to be the most unsettling.
But like many things, for some the flip side of existential terror is sexuality, and sometimes, for some people, the two things get intertwined. Consuming/being consumed is no exception.
Of course, this might be an argument for its inclusion it in a game that is supposed to instill fear.

It's so contextual, and how each person interprets/infers from it. It may be to BM (after dropping a pallet, at the exit gates), to draw aggro from a camped or tunneled surv, or as a thanks for being spared (usually one or two slow crouches).
I personally never do the first, but often do the latter two. Sometimes it's just goofiness and means nothing.

If you find it hard to kill cute female survs, just remember that behind like 2/3 of these cute survs is some sweaty dude who knows many people have a hard time killing cute survs.
Mindgames.

Devs ruined 4 people’s experiences.
If it's that bad for you, don't boot the game up. Simple as.
Saying "bad game design made me quit" as an excuse does not fly. Sorry.

I'll humor this.
It could only manifest as a mori, you'd think. Unless the killer just nibbled off a bit at a time as an alternative to hooks (like PH's cage) leading up to the, uh, final consumption. Or Devouring? And what about the in-game effects of being partially eaten? If the killer ate a surv's arm (for example), would they get permanent hindrance?
I don't think any of this is likely to happen though, for myriad reasons. While perhaps...exciting for some, it might cross a visceral line for a lot of other people.
Also, would you consider the Dredge's mori something akin to vore?
I did just have a visual of the cookie monster in game eating survs like they were cookies on Sesame Street, so thanks for the laugh.

Game doesn't need people who do that. It ruins 4 other people's experiences and pitiful, non-existent bans do nothing so they keep doing it.
Believe me, I understand the sentiment. But I think we have to account for a human being a human occasionally.
I have been playing this game for 3 years now, and I've ragequit once (in a moment of singular frustration, in my earlier days, against a FL bully SWF), and immediately felt kind of ashamed for it. I don't think someone in a similar circumstance deserves a month off.
Now if you're a player who DCs multiple times a play session, that is something else entirely. Like most things, I think there has to be some nuance to it.

Wait. Why would killers be able to hear survivors?? How would that be fair to solos? SWF would still have separate comms that are private??
I mean if you follow the logic of proximity chat, it would make sense for the killer to hear things in the same radius survivors would.
That said, I don't like the idea of proximity chat. Not everyone wants to engage with other players that much. And sure, you could just not, but you know people who decided not to participate in chat would catch salt from other players for "not being a good teammate". There's a deep rabbit hole there.
I am a big fan of the icon options, but I very much do not want to participate in VC with strangers.

Literal insanity to ban someone for a month for a rage quit.
I detest rage quits, but for one, I agree.
I do think there should be repeat violation escalators to get to that point (and perhaps ultimately to permaban) for habitual ragequitters, though.

The context? 😂 I mean if THAT offends you somehow I don't know what to tell ya. And I don't care at all what people think about me here. I am who I am and I'm not about to change for anybody.
It didn't offend me by any means, it was just kinda creepy. No one got bent out of shape here, most of it was tongue in cheek. But hey, I know nuance is hard.
