See but the Michael unlimited tier 3 is an add on and gets consumed when it’s used, ds is a perk so you can use it every game and multiple survivors can have it. Imagine being the killer in this scenario you chase a survivor for a gen’s worth and they finally messed up so you down them then when you go to hook them they ds and now you have to spent another gen’s worth of time getting them down again. Now 2 gens are done all because of ds. Now imagine every survivor having ds so you essentially have to down every survivor twice before you can hook them once and all while that is happening gens are being done.Fre_Shavacado0 said:I don’t ~love~ that they’re revamping DS, I know it’s a huge advantage to a survivor, but it’s once a game and if not used correctly you can get caught immediately again. DS is a powerful survivor perk, but there are also powerful killers that aren’t getting messed with. The Michael add on that allows him to have an endless Tier 3 is annoying. Whenever it’s used all the survivors give up. Why are we only focusing on weakening the survivor while giving the killers more powerful moves. -

It's next to impossible to have any form of PTB on consoles as it's been said, Microsoft and Sony don't just let anything on their.
In fact I recall the devs of Overwatch outright sharing their communication somewhat with the console companies and it's due to overprotective measures. The consoles want to triple check any content update or any updates before it goes live so it doesn't mess with their systems.
As such it's just easier to wait 3 weeks once it's been tested on PC and then ship it. It won't change. I'm sorry it's annoying console players but this is how the industry and current state of technology operates.
Maybe I failed to make the title understandable . I'm not just saying make ptb on console !!! I'm saying what's the point of new chapter on ptb when you say you aren't gonna touch them . you may wanna say why not we get our hands on new chapter faster but when it comes to console players we get smacked in the face and the fact that we gonna die waiting .
All I'm asking is that we all get to play new chapter together . maybe console players have something to say about it too but when you get your hands on it 3 weeks before us we can't even say our opinions and that means half of community is gonna judge the chapter by just looking at YouTube videos which makes the information not true .
I'm sure the day ptb gets released first discussion is gonna " is the new killer op or underpowered " and half of community is gonna vote blind . -

Um.. Yes. Preferably no one is toxic but of course, you have to bring this to a zero sum mentality...
Survivors are OP hurdeedur, so we can't change anything about everything. Let's leave killer toxicity in the game because survivors have SB /s
Meanwhile the devs have been doing nothing but delivering survivor nerfs and killer buffs for the last 5 months.
survivor nerfs? such as what? pallet vacuums? pallet balancing (removing one pallet on a few and adding pallets to most. shelter woods is an excellent example)? gen tapping and hex placement has ALWAYS been an issue. nobody cares.... but dribbling to avoid DS so now 3 drops and its over.... camping was a problem so swinging hooks came in for you.... yet hook blocking is still a problem for killers....
You realize that hook swivel was added like last year right? LolThe pallet concentration change... The window spawn change.. The nurse blink mobility buff... The upcoming pallet vacuum removal... Adding pallet mind games.. Borrowed Time nerf...And you DO realize that they're been talking about hex placement for the last month already right? And they've constantly talked about it in Dev Q&As and streams? And that they're scrapping the DS change to try something else?Really? Gen tapping? *That's on your list of problems?* What survivors are you facing that can't hit the hex skill check? Are you just mad just to be mad? 🙄 -
I hate being camped as much as the next guy but I don’t consider what you did camping. Like if there are no survivors around the hook that is camping but like you said he was running around the hook so to me it’s not camping anymore because the only reason you’d leave is to find other survivors but he’s right in front of you so why would you leave that area. I’d be pissed if that happened to me and I was on hook but I wouldn’t be pissed at you I’d be pissed at the other survivor.TheButcher12 said:@Nanis said:
This is a common thing among survivors. Something most don't yet realize. If the killer sees them hanging around a hooked survivor, the killer is GOING to Camp. That's plain and simple.
Most survivors complain that camping is a cheap way to win, when it in fact is a legit strategy no matter how much anyone dislikes it (myself included).Long story short, survivors will always find something to hate killers over, especially camping. That won't change anytime soon. You can't let it affect you. And camping is NOT a bannable offence by the way. So you will not get banned for it.
Yeah, i noticed this was common thing among the survivor too, so i grow used to it. and beside i already know that Camping is not bannable offense anyway, what brother me the most however is WHY they do it, and i'm started to worry that it takes advantage of the survivors and started to act like Adolf Hitler and Scapegoating us like Jews, and yet it won't make a difference.

The only problem with the 50/50 things is that as a survivor you would feel cheated because you didn’t make a mistake and she didn’t make a good play to get. So to me I wouldn’t feel like she got me I’d feel like the game got me for her since it’s random whether the trap goes off or notTheMatthewLee said:I miss the old Hag. She used to be really good, but at the same time, kind of OP?
Before, crouching would set off traps. The only way you could disarm a phantasm trap was by walking over it, or using a flashlight. She used to be pretty good when that was a thing. I really think they should bring that back, but it was a little bit broken, so maybe crouching has a 50/50 chance of setting off the trap, or maybe if you crouch directly on the trap, it goes off? I don't know. But I'd love for her to be fast. -

Even tho it blows my mind that some people defend pallet looping.People say that, but how else are you going to beat killers like the Nightmare?
Pallet looping sucks because its the most effective and optimal option. However people are forgetting that it always existed in this game, it was just harder to pull off before. It should still be option but it shouldn't be an automatic win.
Yeah, it so existed all that time that it was never a problem until the patch 1.4 era when it was created : P
Lol, it did exist.
Just because it wasn't as meta as it is now doesn't mean it didn't exist back then. Why else would the killers run Brutal Strength before the buff in base pallet breaking speed?
Yes, pallet looping always existed.
Why is it meta now?
Is it easier to run around in circles like a monkey or try 360s, jump a window and then blind, use sprint burst and then urban evasion to stealth away, knowing the map so u can run a few pallets and gain time?Pallet looping is just the easy way out, anyone can do it and it doesn't require any effort or skill, and thats why the majority that doesn't even try to use other methods or perk combinations abuse it.
You mentioned The Nightmare before, easely one of the worst killers in DBD at the moment.
You want to know how to counter him without looping like a monkey? rush gens, freddy requires a lot of time to setup. -

I always looked at pallet looping as getting the most value from our pallets while also using up the killers time. I think if they did give survivors something else they can nerf pallets so when a survivor sees a pallet they’re not like “ thank god there’s a pallet” and more like “oh there’s a pallet here I guess I’ll use this”Your glad that survivors found a way to exploit hitboxes and make more than 3 killers pretty much unplayable?
Your glad that an asymmetrical game is the exact opposite of what an asymmetrical game is supposed to be? I dare say i never heard of any online game where the smaller team is just there to be bullied and treated like ######### by the bigger team. And the matter of fact it is, it's now having to be fixed...what amazes me though is the devs would rather apply a ton of bandaid fixes then just revert the part of the patch that made this issue, unless these devs are purposely trying to piss off an entire playerbase into eventually leaving the game and letting it die as soon as something better comes out.
Sure I agree that survivors need more to do and such but pallet looping is not good for the game. period.
1) That’s an opinion, not that I disagree with it, but it shows your ideals are demand. That’s not a good thing.
2) You did not read what he said at all. From what you responded with, it seemed like you read “I’m glad pallet looping was added, it’s the best lolololol”
4) It actually said “pallet looping was a blessing in desguise, in that now the developers know about it, balance can be changed, and chases may finally be reworked to get rid of looping, and end chases faster with more escape in a single chase possible.”
5) People don’t care that you think pallet looping is bad, they’ll still do it because it’s optimal, reason people complain about face camping, is because it’s usually not, only at exit gates, the same period of time looping isn’t optimal.
6) People aren’t even talking about whether you should stealth or loop, they’re talking about what you should do once you’re IN a chase. The whole problem is how little LOS breakers their are, making it almost impossible.

I think it's still in talks whether or not the cap will be removed, but it should be. This way they could make certain cosmetics really expensive, perhaps even introducing rotating limited time cosmetics that are super expensive.
I imagine the shop will come out with the next DLC though. The game is in desperate need of something new.

See I know the madness trick and the locker trick but good doctors at least in my experience check lockers so I don’t want to go in them because if they check it’s an instant down and I bought no time for the team. As for myers thing yea I’m not entitled to escape him but I definitely can escape him so why would I not escape him. I put the part about pallets being down because I have gotten hate mail from killers due to me Iooping a pallet they just refused to break so I wasn’t sure what killers counted as pallet looping.
Now to answer your question not getting out of a chase can get you win because its get you points so depending on when the chase started and how look at winning this gets you a win by pipping. Or it can get you the survival type win by allowing your team to get gens done and doors open you run towards the exit you’re gonna get shielded by your team unless the killer has a one shot ability of and if they don’t that’s an escape.
And as a last thing just because someone pallet loops doesn’t mean they’re bad and doesn’t mean the person who plays stealthy is better than them. I know people who are really good but enjoy be chased so they pallet loop all their skill isn’t gone now because because they pallet loop. I’m not gonna lie pallet looping is pretty funny sometimes especially when there’s mind gaming going on. Oh I’m over here. oh nope now I’m over here. Pekaboo myers -

@AlexAnarchy you say that like killers are stupid and will fall for that all the time. You know how many times hiding at their feet has worked out of all the times I’ve tried it? Twice just twice. So I stopped using that one. And those jukes and hiding you suggested try doing that against a doctor who loves to shock everywhere even if he doesn’t hit here comes the scream. Myers is tier 3 why would try to juke that? Just loop him until it’s over then I’ll try a juke.Survivors aren’t gonna be stupid and take unnecessary risks like that. Then there’s the killers who don’t break a pallet but then cry loop.If the killer decides to not break a pallet I don’t think survivors can be blamed for looping that pallet. Let’s be honest here if I’m a good looper and I don’t looper the killer I’m hurting my team rather than helping them because I’m not wasting the killers most valuable resource.

Looping isnt fun but as a survivor you want to live and that means not getting hit. So ofcourse people would tend to looping if that is what it takes to survive. Why purposely lower your chances of survival?
And face camping and tunnel vision increases your chance of killing. Why does the community hate it? Because its a cheap way of winning, abusing of what is somewhat mechanically "broken".
In theory what you said is right but in game its a different story.
Reach rank 1 Killer and play vs SWF, i promise you, your opinion will change. Its not about survival its abusing a mechanic that makes most killers a living joke, apart from Nurse and Huntress
So what else am I supposed to do if the killer finds me? Stand there and let them down me? I don’t understand your logic here because survivors only have looping as an option when their getting chased but killers have different options when it comes to killing people.

I play on ps4 and tbh the ptb is not really something I’d personally want. Plus it’s just not realistic for them to do one because of Microsoft and Sony. On pc they can change anything whenever they want but on console it has to go through a process so it’s just not worth the effort to put a ptb on console and the chapter needs to go through a ptb. I mean we all know the Bugged by Daylight thing people say lol. I just care about whether it goes live at the same time for everyone or does console have to wait.

I don’t think this would stop camping because by now most killers know camping doesn’t work but a lot do it because they want to do it. It doesn’t really matter to them if they win or lose. They same way a survivor who wants to kill their teammates will take them off the hook right in front of the killer even though they’ll lose points for it. If they want to do it they usually don’t care about losing.FallenRanger0 said:Honestly, I think the best way as a Survivor to stop camping from happening is to actually punish it correctly. If everyone did this, eventually Killers would stop camping, because it won't work anymore. Yes, as the person hooked, it sucks that you essentially waste one match, but if literally everyone did this to punish camping, then after a while, it will stop happening. I think, though there may be something I'm over looking.

The system also should reward players for being stealthy. Like you don’t get any points for not getting caught so I have to give myself up to the killer in order to get chased to get points. If there was a stealth category I wouldn’t have to loop

I honestly think that’s a big reason swf is such a problem. It’s not the fact the people lose to it it’s the toxicity bm and cockyness that some swf teams bring and the people playing killer get frustrated because they have no real chance to put them in their place so they feel helpless.I think people would still want it looked at but I don’t think swf would be nearly as hated it as it is now if all swf teams were nice to the killers in game and afterwards.powerbats said:The easiest solution is give the killer a buff that only works against swf party members. I've been the killer with a full premade and it's not fun especially when you'ere only a lvl 3 and they're almost completely geared out with ultra very rare and very rare perks and addons. Most have been pretty cool about and but some think they're great because they outdid you.

Yea I saw that suggestion in theory it’d be good but like how many killers and solo players would actually join that is the question. And all swf aren’t equal so should a two man swf be forced to join this because those aren’t nearly as strong as a 3-4 man.I think it all depends on the wait times.Michael_Myers said:I think the best thing to do would be what has been suggested... create a separate mode for swf where solo players can join if they want, mainly so it fills out the lobby and you aren't waiting forever for a game. See but does this only affect 4 man swf or all swf because it wouldn’t be fair to the solo players who just happened to get put in the match with a 2 man swf. I died and was extremely pissed that I was the one who got Sandbagged. The others escaped the match easily, I was just the solo guy that was bait in the game.

That’s a good point that was brought up earlier. Why would I choose to play stealthy when I can just give myself up and loop for awhile so I can get evader points. It’s been argued that you should be in the killer terror radius and get points that way while being stealthy but the thing is good killers thoroughly check an area so I have to be pretty far away in order to not be found which is out of their terror radius.

I find it weird when a full swf team insult the killers by calling them noobs because they’re playing the game in the easiest setting for survivors but then insult the killer even though the killer is playing in the hardest setting.Michael_Myers said:Played a swf team last night that looped and teabagged... after the game was over they were calling me noob, baby killer, and told me to kill myself. Like #########? It's just a game lol. Honestly made me feel sorry for them. Be kind people

I use self care, lithe, urban immersion, and either borrowed or iron will.

Get either lithe or sprint burst. I play stealthy but sometimes it’s just not an option and having that sprint perk makes a world of differenceSlapped_A_T_Rex said:I ran those. Mostly it would be load in turn the corner then myers or different killer would be there. My main perks are Urban, Self Care, Borrowed Time and Empathy. Which is great just not when found first. lol

Oh i see where you’re coming from especially if the dc happens at the beginning of the matchAftertaste said:@ThePloopz said:
You can’t give them less gens to do midmatch because that’d be easily abused. Imagine for a second there are 3-4 survivors alive and there’s one gen left but you’re patrolling them hard so they’re having a really hard time getting the last one. Boom someone dc’s gen done. If they’re in swf someone is already at the door opening it for the easy escape. It was an example.
