Honestly, I think he's good at what he's made for (ending chases/getting pallet drops). I still think they should do something like give his bottles seperate counts. 3 yellow and 3 purple (could be any number just make em seperate) that way when you want to use a yellow for moving around the map you aren't missing a purple you might need later on. Other than that I'd say any other issue with him is universal across the bottom tier m1 killers

Was the survivor a Tapp, by any chance? Yesterday I encountered a console Nemesis on Swamp that got hit with this bug and could only slide around by inches. Getting pallet stunned or picking up a survivor didn't fix the issue.
Nah this was today and the survivor was a Meg. Sounds weird to say, but I'm kinda glad to hear this isn't some one-off thing. Hope this bug gets sorted

Eh, just looks like a guy complaining about having played against 3 DHs. And since the others weren't there he just ######### talked you instead. Just a peeved off guy blowin off steam after what was probably an annoying match for them. There's no broader discussion to be made here about DH: Killers hate it and Survivors love it. Pretty simple stuff.

It's not a great perk but Deathbound could end up being fun.
They could just use a medkit or CoH and completely circumvent it but ya know what I like deluding myself into thinking I can have fun, leave me alone.
-
Keep in mind there are still some addon changes we haven't been shown yet. They could be mediocre or game-changing but, for me, these changes are a net positive.

It's almost like the lobby isn't the actual online multiplayer game or something.
#########, really?
I've just been downing and hooking survivors in the lobby?! Talk about innovative game design!

A decent internet connection is a requirement for online games just as much as any piece of hardware.
Funny, I'm still able to start the game up, even with my relatively subpar internet. Guess the requirement's pretty loose.

TBH you shouldn't be playing games online if your connection is that bad. Harsh but your just ruining the game for everyone you play with.
If my internet goes haywire, I quit for the day as to not affect anyone else's gameplay. The connection's enough to keep me at 80 ping for majority of my games, but there's always gonna be the pregame lobby where I see my 300 ping and call it a day.

"Makes it out like I'm defending ragequits when I'm simply telling you not every DC is necessarily due to someone's irrational phobia of a poor results screen."
Except that's exactly what it is almost every time and that you can easily tell that. The amount of people that DC for legit reasons is VERY VERY LOW.
And ya know what, I'd agree with you if it weren't for your dismissive replies to people telling you they DC every so often due to anything other than a life-threatening incident. Hits close to home as someone whose best available option due to where I live is a max 10 Mb in a household where I'm not the only person using the internet. Occasionally my green ping from the pregame lobby turns to a consistent red ping indicator finding a home at the top left of my screen before I find the first survivor.
-
No clue but I wanna ask if you use Surveillance with it as well because I find it works great.
It's like running a non-hex new Ruin alongside Pop. I love it, man.

It's pretty easy to tell when someone DC's because they got outplayed or about to lose. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that. I've seen killers DC when they were winning, pretty sure those aren't salty ragequits. But when I pallet save someone and then the killer loses track of them and 2 gens pop and they stop moving, you can BET that is a ragequit.
"It's funny how I can't say people play for fun when a group of people rage quit on you occasionally."
When people rage quit after getting outplayed, they can't say "muh fun" as an argument. That's pure salt and you know that. If people played for fun they wouldn't care so much about losing that they leave the game the moment things start going downhill.
If I recall correctly, you named this post "If you DC" not "If you ragequit"
Also, don't go roping in all the rocket scientists into your argument, you're makin em look bad.
"You can't sit there and tell me people play for fun when they DC at the drop of a hat for the lamest of reasons."
My comment about finding humor in you saying I can't claim people are playing for fun when people ragequit against you occasionally wasn't me saying that obvious ragequitting isn't obvious. It was me pointing out how you seem to just outright omit the possibility that not every DC is to save face. Notice you using the word "they" instead of "people." Makes it out like I'm defending ragequits when I'm simply telling you not every DC is necessarily due to someone's irrational phobia of a poor results screen. It's possible for people to have internet issues. It's possible for people to be interrupted by real life issues. It's possible for people to prioritize not playing through a match due to these things over your lil video game.

Like I said if the "fun" argument were true then people wouldn't be compelled to leave when they are losing. Yet that is the case 98% of the time. The other 2% is actual legit reasons to DC. You can't sit there and tell me people play for fun when they DC at the drop of a hat for the lamest of reasons.
There's that gamer insight I know and love. The kind of insight that can sniff out all the DCs as merely ragequiting and nothing else. Even the ones that aren't even taking place in his games! He's even got the stats to prove it!
Alright, to be fair, you did include the 5% of burning hardware and dying wives out there. Mad respect for that one.
But let's be reasonable for a minute here, gamer. If a hat drops, what am I supposed to do, not pick it up?! At a certain point, you gotta realize the severity of the situation.
It's funny how I can't say people play for fun when a group of people rage quit on you occasionally. Hysterical, really. Although, I would recommend getting newer material. You can only try and freshen up this "supreme gamer" routine for so long before your bits end up becoming stale.
-
Funny, your hypotheticals for situations that are suitable for DCing are just downright not.
Who takes an L on a flaming PC/console?! Not me, I'll tell ya that much!
Wife having a heart attack?! Chick, I'm tryna game here! Bug some loser who actually gives a damn!
You know how I can tell you're a true gamer? The way you read these pathetic posers minds. You can shut down all these whiny arguments like, "My ping goes in the red, leaving me unable to play the game properly" and, "I have a life which sometimes intervenes with my time playing video games."
IMPECABLE
In all seriousness, you are delusional.
The thought process behind, "You can't be serious! You don't play matches when you're at 300 ping?! Take the L like a real gamer!" is baffling. It's like you can't accept the fact that people play this game for fun, and playing matches in which your internet is pissing itself is the antithesis of fun.
I take it back. I don't think you're delusional. I'm convinced you're a nuanced comedian and for that I applaud your dedication. Keep up the good work, champ! :,)
-
I'll give ya a bad guess.
They might just make his bottles have a trail of the gas behind it, essentially shutting down a path in the direction he throws it, but possible to dodge if you just go to the sides of it.
Probably some add on changes that I have no clue about because I don't play Clown.
Can ya tell I thought I had a banger of an idea and then thought about it for more than a second?

Well I never said you said it was braindead, I was trying to say how you implied that it was braindead. Also DS + Unbreakable is strong but only once. If they unbreakable they will no longer have it but they'll have DS, and if they got to unbreakable then their DS is practically useless. If they DS you because you forgot you hooked them within 60 seconds or something, all they have is unbreakable, which will be rendered useless as there is no reason to be slugged if you have no DS or if the killer is trying to get a 4k near the end of the game or just being a dick.
I still don't understand why people think dead hard is op, just assume they have it and bait the dead hard and get the hit, it's not hard. If they are dead harding to pallets maybe hit them before they get into range of the pallet? Also killers like clown and Doc which force you to drop pallets early are essentially stronger now since the pallet desert update. Survivors have to conserve and try not to greed pallets before having to finally drop them, It's kind of a dumb update when you have a 2 perk combo that allows you to ignore pallets and get an eventual hit and killers like clown and doc exist, forcing you to drop all 5 pallets in the map during a chase. So if running Enduring and Spirit fury isnt worth, DS + Unbreakable isn't either. There aren't many matches where everyone gets slugged, so Unbreakable isn't worth running, however it is very impactful when the perk works, and you can recover your team. Enduring + Spirit fury is hold W and you get a free hit/down, atleast with DS you have to land a skill check. That combo is pure aids in chase, they both help you with chases so idk why you think killers dont have perks to help them in chase like survivors do.
You say that DS was better to deal with back then, but it got reworked cause generally killers thought it was op, which it was. Now DS is balanced and people want the perk to be unpopular and tunneling will become popular and killers will turn the other cheek. And what decent killer opens a locker when the unhooked person went in there? LOL, while there is a chance, why take the risk when you know that player has DS and you're 99% sure? Keep mental notes of who you hooked so you don't have to worry about it, or like i said, GET RID OF IT EARLY.
And for the record most killer mains want all of the survivor meta perks to be gutted. Adrenaline is an end-game perk, so if the survivors make it to endgame they deserve the huge reward that Adrenaline gives you, Devour Hope rewards you for not playing like a dick so it's fair. BT is balanced, just dont hit the unhooked person and go for the unhooker, sometimes hook diving is necessary, just because a survivor does it when it's not needed doesnt make them toxic, it becomes a 1 for 1 which usually isn't worth, unless it's a facecamper. Dead Hard, doesn't even work half the time because dedi servers, just wait it out or hit them before they get near a pallet.
DS is fine where it is, as much as I don't like Tru3, sometimes in his gameplay he will eat DS early so he doesn't have to deal with it endgame, maybe killers should start doing that so it doesn't ######### them over late game.
Gotta say the comparison you're using isn't that great and that Dead Hard hypothetical is very...odd.
Firstly, you act like Unbreakable is simply a perk that lets you pick yourself up, when it also lets you recover faster. This means you don't necessarily have to use it up until it's completely necessary. Just have another survivor pick you up and you still have a pick-me-up and your DS.
Second, you portray Spirit Fury + Enduring like it's ez free hits when you can just not stun him by predropping pallets. Sounds stupid but you're basically nullifying half his perks and if it's a choice between seeming stupid while taking away 2 of a killers 4 perks and getting hit for free, I'm tryna be the dumbest man on the planet idk about you.
Lastly, I take umbrage with the suggestion of "just hitting the guy before he dead hards to a pallet" because chances are if someone is complaining about dead harding for distance it isn't because because they couldn't smell the breathtaking shampoo and conditioner the survivor is using anymore because they were so close "just hitting them" was an option, it's probably because they were going to be close enough to get a hit, but they used dead hard, getting them to the pallet.
PS: Could you teach me to paint with such a wide brush like you did with that "killer mains" remark? I'm ######### at painting in general so it may be hard.

There are claws around the obsession. I see the claws if I'm running pwyf, I don't look at their names.
Yeah but if you pay attention during the lobby to the names of the survivors and how they look and who they're playing and then check who is the obsession in the pause menu, you know who to go for.
Not saying it's optimal, just saying I've seen people doing it.
-
Bruh Spirit is LITERALLY in pieces. Like, that chick is the definition of broke.
Though I don't know how many gigs Clown gets nowadays. He might be more broke than her.
I say it's a tie.
-
Some people use the survivors' names to distinguish which one is the obsession when the game starts and they are running a build where the obsession is integral.
Other that pretty niche thing, no clue.
-
Gotta say, despite you clarifying multiple times that you aren't trying to "call out all the killer mains", your post really seems to set out to...well, call out all killer mains.
I can tell you that after joining this forum pretty recently I've seen plenty of attempts to derail/insult posts related to killer buffs. But the problem isn't that they happen on killer posts or survivor posts. It's that they happen on both. I've seen just as many acting smarmy and distasteful on survivor posts.
Sidenote: I find it weird one of the offensive things survivor posts get on some of their posts is, "Well then don't run x perk" Im sure it's said with a lot more malice than the way you presented it but that sounds to me like a rather tame suggestion.
SWF is tough because, as a killer main, I don't particularly have a vendetta against them. I've just come to terms with the fact that some teams will be more coordinated than others, no use complaining about it. However, for every friends having fun SWF theres a SW(E)AT Team 6 ready to make you quite frustrated, so I can see how the more negative experience sticks more than the quite moderate one.
I won't even defend Monto and Tru3 because they can both be rather salty towards survivors. The difference is one can be entertaining and the other is Tru3. I won't deny the stigma they can uphold in regards to SWFs though.
This Killer main/Survivor main thing is a dance that will never end until this game dies and while I understand your frustration, posts like these will only provide a space where survivors can say, "Yeah, screw killer mains!" and killers can go, "B-b-but survivor mains do this this and this so screw survivor mains!"

Well if ya don't care, why post anything in the discussion? It just seems like ya want to hurl insults while not actually having to participate in the discussion at hand. If ya like and agree with a post, there's the upvote button. It's easier and a lot less rude overall.
And you're wrong about nobody caring to hear your opinion. I want to hear what ya have to say, don't I? If it's such an advantage then why isn't everyone using shadow born. Oh yeah IT ISNT
It would be a big advantage if it were an adjustable option.
Since its not and instead a perk, it takes up a perk slot, therefore leaving it up to the player if they feel confident enough that they want to use up 1/4 of their perk slots on wider FOV or an actual perk that could help in chase, slow down gens, provide any sort of pressure on the survivors, etc.
I don't even completely agree with the person ya replied to due to motion sickness being a very real thing I don't think the devs accounted for but cmon man.

It's only natural that some who either don't know who he is or never had a deep interest in the character would be disappointed, especially with a lot of the big wigs in the rumor mill like Jason, Pennywise and Xenomorph.
I'm a part of that some and would personally rather them make a chapter around Silent Hill 2. If it were Candyman or anything else, of course I'll be disappointed. But I won't sit there huffing and puffing, Imma play that #########.

There is a side of players that don't know who Candyman is and are "Eh" about him coming to DBD.
There is another side of players that know who Candyman is and would like him in here.
I provided Ash, as an example. Since his leak, many people had no idea who he was.
That's all fine and good, however, my comment wasn't about the claim that Candyman can't make it in cuz nobody knows him.
Imo I think the tweet with "bee" and "sweet with a candy emoji" would make a subsequent Candyman reveal incredibly underwhelming. It's like waving a red curtain over a proclaimed mysterious item only for the red curtain to be the item. A lil too on the nose, imo. That, however, doesn't mean s q u a t in terms of if he is or isn't the reveal. He could be, we don't know.
My post was moreso directed at the concept of Evil Dead being less iconic than Candyman, which I wholeheartedly disagree with, but also understand that the concept of "iconic" isn't exactly objective. As ya said, some people know Candyman, some don't. Some know Ash, some don't.

I'd argue Surge is better than Blood Warden. In that it's more consistent, not that it's more game changing. Surge is great on every killer who uses primarily m1 and has good synergy with Surveillance. It's like a non-hex Ruin, negating the need to take time to kick gens. Meanwhile, you're already banking a lot on getting a hook once one of the gates are open. If you don't, it's basically like ya had 3 perks the whole match. And it's not like it guarantees much, although what it does grant is quite good.
Can't argue for Mindbreaker and Cruel Limits tho, they're pretty #########.

Candyman definitely is Iconic. He wouldn't even be the smallest licensed dlc in the game. Evil Dead is smaller than Candyman. I dont get why he would be "dissatisfying" or "disappointing" he has marked the world of horror, his trademark being the bees. When you think of Horror and bees, you think of Candyman. Sure there would be more iconic Dlc, (Pennywise, Jason) but it never said it was the most iconic killer. My money is on Candyman, but I see Jason as an eligibility, I don't think they would add another clown. (I'm not saying i don't want him)
I wouldn't go that far, man. Evil Dead is one of, if not, the most iconic B Horror movies ever. It's practically the definition of a cult classic, so much so that it doesn't even fit the definition anymore.
And when thinking of bees and horror, I'd sooner turn to Wicker Man. Couldn't tell ya anything about him and I've been around the genre since I was younger. Just me though.

Keep in mind Otz was playing Billy. Try doing that exact same match as clown, pig, trapper, doc ect.
Oh if Otz was playing Trapper, the survivors would have combusted upon loading in due to the sheer power he gained from otzcheats.com
-
If you want to cover wider areas try hitting up high on objects i.e. trees, the ceiling of shack. The fumes will spread outward, forming a sort of dome around where it hit.
I'd be wary playing him tho as he's seen as one of the hardest killers to perform well with. His power leaves a lot to be desired and that's about all he has. Compared to killers who have mobility, one shot potential and tools that are just plain easier to use in chase and net more results he kinda just underperforms relatively.

Cruel Limits effects the entire map, not just around the generator that it was completed on. It would make it so much more useful and it's only useful 5 times every game, and you don't want that to happen.
Bruh that Cruel Limits with Bitter Murmur would be pretty funny to see
-
Top 3 choices for killer would be Trapper, Demogorgon or Billy.
For Trapper and Demogorgon, put traps/portals at the gates asap.
For Billy, just use your mobility to put the pressure on them during EGC.
Perkwise I'd say @brokedownpalace definitely has something. While they do similar things for the most part, Bitter Murmur shows you all survivors auras for 10 seconds as opposed to the 5 seconds it would show them for previously. The Rancor is a bit memey but still.
Last perk if ya don't want to run Rancor can be anything you think might help you out in your ideal endgame scenario. If ya need to get that hook to trigger Blood Warden fast bring Agitation. Feel like ya might lose some of em? Bring Whispers. Feel like keeping track of your dull totems so that NOED can proc? Bring Thrill of the Hunt. Wanna be less obvious? Bring Monitor and Abuse. Etc. etc.
-
No cooldown on Surge
I get it, by the time the cooldown is over you probably haven't downed anybody, let alone by a gen you haven't already hit with your previous Surge.
But
It would still be nice to have the possibility to happen there, especially on a perk that is already limited to a 32 meter radius instead of your Terror Radius.
-
I had.
Remember the topic after the Ghostface one? I had all 30k killer missions save for this one Trapper daily. I rerolled my Trapper daily only to get this Ghostface daily (ironic since I complained about getting survivor dailies only to get a killer daily and still complain lmao)
It was all good tho. I got the daily done in that match at the cost of my performance which I was fine with. I don't go into daily matches, where I am preordained to jump through some hoops I'm not always keen on doing in my matches, with the mindset of winning, but completing the daily. If I win cool, if I don't whatever I got my daily to make up for all the points I might not have gotten.
Sorry for the essay btw
-
I'm biased against survivor actions more since I play killer but it's always the people who stay at the door the ENTIRE EGC.
It always happens in a bad match as well. A couple if not all of them are at the gate and they're just tbagging away. Sometimes I'll decide not to go to the gates because attention is what they want, but then, they'll just sit there until the ground looks like it's just about ready to erupt and the timer is beeping like it's trying to wake me up from a bad dream and only THEN will they leave.

Why are you lean stalking during a chase anyway? You can easily get this ritual by Marking someone that's unaware via leaning and exposing them, then move onto someone else and expose them from an angle they wouldn't expect and catch them out while they're off thinking someone else is being targetted. You also haven't got to get it in one match either.
I mean the match I did it in was a swf (ranks were 4,2,18,2. I'm rank 11) so they aren't exactly about to think I'm on someone they're actively talking to.
Also, it's 3 leaning marked downs. I don't know about you, but I'm much more likely to just go and get it done in one match rather than try and find instances where it may or may not work across multiple. Especially since I dislike the strategy.

Just had a match as Myers on Pale Rose where they brought Hazy Reagent.
Downed a guy early into my tier 3 and was bringing him to the nearest hook which was on the outskirts. Saw a healthy Feng running towards the hook so, thinking she was trying to sabo, I dropped the first guy and charged at her with my still relatively young tier 3. This chick *dissapeared*. And just as a lil icing on the cake, the guy I downed had Unbreakable.
So, in short, I hate fog offerings(?)

But, my man, that bug cost you the match...

I'd like it if dead survivors gave a stack of 1% more than the usual stacks (don't know the numbers offhand.) At least, like others have said, have it count dead survivors.
Thanatophobia is literally the fear of death. I get it. The dead can't fear death. But the living fear death more when others are suddenly dying off.
