It's so funny and stupid at the same time. I played now 30 rounds and won 30 rounds with the same tactic.

Addon that reopens traps and you have all at the start of the round.

2 traps for the exit gates

    1 for ruin

5 for loops around the 3 closest gens.

It's impossible to lose because the area becomes a death zone after a while.

My survivors never three gen themselves really unless the map forces them so

Wondering what everyone hopes are for the upcoming changes. Legion is a killer i really enjoy so it interrest me more then usual changes.

    For Legion

I'm hoping mostly for QoL changes. No more losing your power on a m1-hit for example.

Slight reduction is cooldown. I can understand why the cooldown is there but i think that most people that played Legion can agree that even with both cdr reduction addons survivors could make it to a safe place. Reduce the base slightly and change the addons.

Probably a bit controversial but i'd also like to see his killer instinct to just be a set range and not tied to their terror radius anymore. Many undetectable perks that could be good for Legion are awkward cause they screw with their power.

Some way for more speed. Even through addons if nothing else. I want to zooom.

Something against mend simulator. Fine, as a person who enjoys Legion i don't like admiting this but yes. A match against Legion where he just FF's you and runs away is boring. I don't know what to change about it without taking away from it's power but something should change

All in all i'm really hoping for a Clown style change. That they add to their kit instead of changing it to much. After losing Freddy it's hard to not be a bit dreadfull it's going to happen again. I'd rather them staying at the same powerlevel but smoother then being stronger but changed into something i don't enjoy anymore

As for Ghostface i don't play him much so i don't have much to say.

Hoping for his reveal mechanic to be looked at atleast as it never worked properly

Also addons. Addons, addons, addons. Like 80% of his addons should change. Give us status effects like mangled or broken on hit out of stealth or maybe an iri that hides the exposed effect of his power untill you get hit.

Just anything more usefull then the stuff he has now

Ghostface needs better addons, or a new mechanic that his current addons can reward. There needs to be more to stalking with Ghostface, because stalking isn't even worth it sometimes. Crouching is outright useless most of the time, so I wish there was something that it did aside from visual and mind gaming.

Legion needs to be reworked entirely if you ask me. He's one of those killers that is generally unfun for survivors, and, from my understanding, unfun for killers to play too.

  • Ghostface I suppose

I like the stealth playstyle but it's hard to perform well at high MMR if I make one mistake.

Most of my hours are on Ghostface, and he was my very first prestige 3, so he's mainly who I play.

I've seen you comment on so many of my discussions that anyone with a Freddy icon, I automatically think it's you, even when it isn't.

So everyone is dead, the killer picks you up and runs in circles, drops you then does the ballerina on you as well, clearly enjoying every bit of it. He goes away for a while, presumely closing the hatchet. Now he drags me to the exit, lets me revive and hits the control panel. I was relieved for a moment, halfway through the panel I stopped, I just had this feeling the killer was waiting for the ultimate satisfaction killing me right before the gate opens. I decided to die with pride and Tbagged right infront of him until he was pissed off enough to hang me.

Would you have risked your pride and take that chance to escape?

Sometimes the best way to deal with things that bother you, is to just be the bigger person.

Would be cool if he chopped it in half similar to nemesis.

I agree, just wish more killers had unique animations. Myers is another one, was hoping he'd just sort of "walk through it" and crush it like he does in the films. Maybe that could be a change to him to break pallets faster only in tier 3. Just an idea.

  • @OldHunterLight said:

I mean unless you know silent hill 2 then you know that PH rarely uses his clever, in fact you can steal it from him, he also has like 3 in game animations.

But considering that bhvr re uses every animation I doubt we will see a change, look at boons and how killers destroy it, same hatch animation, pallets and doors? Same animations with a few exceptions ofc like nurse, oni etc.

Also fun fact, if PH hit a gen with his clever most likely the gen will be destroyed, a pallet makes sense but not a gen.

Understandable, I was mainly referring to the pallet animation, generator I can understand, and while he does rarely use his clever in the games like you stated, I still would think he would prefer to use his clever on a piece of wood opposed to kicking it.

Did you informed your physician as well? He should know about your condition

It is no condition of mine, friend. It is a virtue. Dread it, run from it, the Clown will arrive all the same.

  • @Marigoria said:

    The ranks are visible anymore.

The only reason you feel like people are more "welcoming" on here is that the ones who aren't get banned. In game bans don't happen as often, if even.

    I'll believe it. Honestly.

  • @lovemeplz said:

Boon totem are fine if you tunnel and camp the survivor. I can see in my game that killer are adopting to that strat more often compare to before. If i find it fun not really but its working

Yes, but since the way to counter a boon totem effectively every time is related to camping a survivor on the hook, which, in many peoples eyes is unhealthy for the game, developers should find a solution.

  • @GannTM said:

That isn’t an intended design of Dead Hard, it’s hit validation. You actually didn’t get the hit to begin with and the server is doing its job by rejecting it. Old Mettle of Man was just poorly designed. We can talk about the design of Dead Hard too but the hit validation shouldn’t be the reason the perk needs a change.

I don't think the perk needs to be changed. If I did, I would've discussed that. I understand the issue with the hit validation, was just stating this perk is practically old Mettle of Man.

Thank you for the information regardless.

There is nothing wrong with smartface as a cosmetic. Yes, some people use it as an additional way to target POC players, streamers, and survivors, but thats only because they GIVE the power to the cosmetic. Calling it "blackface bubba" is giving it power that it doesnt have without these complaints. Even if it gets removed, what does that solve? does that make all racist players quit? No. If people want to be racist in a game they will.

The cosmetic does not need to be removed. Leatherface is a serial killer, so he will kill whoever and wear whoever. He is not even fully there mentally. The rest of this post is something I will not comment on. As General said, at least the title is correct.

  • @Mazoobi said:

His first released state was honestly a unique power and it kinda just sucked that it naturally had issues, to drag along with it.

I wished the devs were able to keep that original state, but just tweaked it with healthier changes for both sides. The reworks for him just make him similar to other killers, but with a "dream-world" which is just for aesthetics if anything...

Exactly my issue. I agree with your first point, the power was unique, just was not strong enough to be in the game. With proper balancing, I feel like it could have been a very good power to utilize and play with. I am literally confused on how you get stumped on a power for a killer who is known for his creativity in how he kills people. Myers is straight forward, he has a knife, he stabs. Freddy could have been anything, and they choose to make him a cool filter screen M1 killer.

  • @JPA said:

"I do not understand why the devs have ignored The Game for such a long time."

The sad thing is, this is one of the maps they remade most recently, so we can only assume BHVR have absolutely no idea how to balance things, and this map is going to be like this for a while.

I do remember hearing a patch note about The Game, playing it as both survivor and killer, and noticing no difference.

  • @anarchy753 said:

I think in general they need to go through maps and remove true god pallets. The Game has so many and Lerys has at least a few, where they block an entire hallway or the entire doorway to a tile and you literally have no choice as killer but to break them or lose the chase.

By the time you break all the pallet chains that a survivor will run you through, three generators will be done. So action does need to be taken if you ask me.

  • @Tr1nity said:

You can literally just go from pallet to pallet and 5 gens will be done and exit gates open before you run out of pallets.

I find it ridiculous that this is possible--even if it's an exaggeration, I still believe it to an extent. The Game map is one of the maps I instantly want to dc over--depending on the killer I am.

Uninstalled 3x this week and this time I even uninstalled the PC Xbox app as an extra barrier to returning. It's simply too stressful now to play, and rather than keep playing it whilst complaining about it on the forums, I'm going to try and channel my attention and energy into less destructive habits.

Understandable. I'm not exactly complaining on the forums, I'm just genuinely interested in if others share my opinions.

I mean an entire team with Slippery Meat, Salty Lips, and an Up The Ante is kind of god tier.

Forget the slipper meat, salty lips, and forget even qing with a team. Up The Ante only. Just get lucky, lol.

Chewed Pen and Address Book needs to be base-kit, then just rework those add-ons. He needs an add-on pass as well. It's a similar situation as old Wraith, where he was only viable with windstorm add-ons.

Oh and they need to fix the reveal mechanic.

I've noticed the reveal mechanic is wonky at times, it seems he has a Myers situation in my opinion? Just not as bad, like he seems a bit outdated, like some of the other killers as well, and he just needs some tweaks. Too bad this won't happen in my opinion.

I have Bad News for you. DbD didnt get the License for Scream, but rather for the Ghostface Mask Itself. So even if a new Movie comes out, it doesnt have to do with the InGame GhostyBoy. But yeah. Just making his Base Recovery Speed 10 seconds or even 5 seconds faster would make him far less Addon dependend.

Ah yeah I read about that actually, you just reminded me of it. That's a shame tbh, wonder if they'll do anything related to Myers in terms of Halloween Kills, that'd be great, and another discussion I plan on having is about Myers, but that's for another day. Glad they did get the license for the mask, gives a lot more freedom.

I think one of the issues is Ghostface's power is very simple. There's not a lot they could do to it, I guess. I'd love if they added some effects to Nightshoud or something. Maybe maybe your action speed faster, but make it easier to break you out? I don't know. His add-ons are just so boring.

I'm assuming you play Ghostie because if Scream, right? I'm curious, what does a Scream fan think of DbD's version of Ghostface?

Well Ghostface is my favorite slasher, I have my own mask and all of that, huge Scream fan, and I'm happy with DbDs take on him, the straps are a cool part of his design and his mori is so fitting for who he is, I'm not mad at all that it's not a Ghostface from the Scream franchise, only thing that confuses me just a tad is how he wipes his knife just like the original Ghostface from the first Scream movie, despite not being that same character, just a nitpick though, all in all I love the character and his power, super fun killer, the best mori in the game imo, since it really gives the killer personality.

Only things that bug me about Ghostface is the fact he's not as viable in higher rank play due to limitations on his power and addons, etc.

  • @NomiNomad said:

Ghostface is a killer where his Add-Ons are kinda boring. He only has a few of any use, the ones you listed, with the rest either being terrible- Like stalking movement speed -or used for meme builds, like his crouched movement speed. Detection Range is decent in theory, but his whole detection aspect is broken in general.

His best are by far his Night Shroud recovery add-ons. Night Shroud just takes too long otherwise. I'd want them to buff his base recovery speed and nerf these add-ons, but honestly I just think he needs a whole add-on pass so he can maybe get some interesting add-ons. I doubt it though.

Scream 5's release is coming soon, which may lead to something, but I highly doubt it as well. Which is sad. He is my favorite killer in this game.

In animation often when its sped up itll increase the smoothness and draw less attention to the point values from one skeleton to another. Basically its to hide small defects that can happen when almost all your characters share a skeleton framework.

Thanks for the explanation, it just always stood out to me for some reason.

You are not being whiney because you admit that you need to work on your skill. Sure you complain a bit but that is fine as you put blame where it is in due. Blight has issues with buttered walls and he needs skill. You empathise both of those aspects so it is not whiney. Ranting is fine this is why forums like this exist.

I used to get headachs too when I was acting more tryhard. However I since found peace by playing to different objectives with each Killer, getting a bit more of the immersion by choosing fitting perks and taking a few more losses because of suboptimal perks choices.

As an example I run Myers with Monitor, Infectious, Safe the Best and Bamboozle/Lightborn. I discard all regression perks as I can not see Myers using a Hex:Ruin without ruining his image. Sure I loose matches with this setup but it is worth it for cheap jumpscares with your 8m terror radius in T2.

I run BBQ quiet often and play the minigame to first fully stack my BBQ befor the first survivor dies. And in general I set the goals of the game for myself. A 4k has no meaning for me if I archive it with tunneling or camping (not counting survivor induced version of those).

However I do not know if this mindset can help you. However if you try to learn and perfect Blight maybe you could set a similar goal: One very sick hit around a corner per match maybe? When I play Bubba as an example my goal is to get one sick chainsaw done where I mindgame the survivor to think I come from one side but sprint to the other side of the loop and down them.

That's something I also need to do, have a learn not win mindset, which is what I'm currently trying to do (watching Otz helps a lot). Thank you for the kind words and advice.

We all need to rant every now and then its okay.

And for the record, you bring up plenty of valid points.

Maybe take a break from the game for a while, come back during the double BP event?

Lately I have been playing survivor, hoping to see the POV of the game through a survivor perspective in order to help with my killer performance. I started doing this to take a break from killer, try to relax a bit. I don't rage like I used to when I was a bit younger, but sometimes i do get aggravated like we all do, but playing survivor has been... modestly okay, aside from the many face camping Bubbas that I do come across, and for some reason the other day a basement nurse who would keep blinking in and out making sure no one got there, but I have been doing a bit better with it, I just wanted to post this in order to see if anyone else thought the same as I do.

  • @Phasmamain said:

If you are learning blight you don’t really have to run meta since you’re just practising his power. Keep at it though blight is insanely strong once you get the hang of him

Working on it, just hard to enough the game when every game trying to learn is a curbstomp, I'm doing the best I can though, wish I picked him up a bit earlier.
