I feel bad for him, because he makes this post now. Until he's been playing longer, and then the game does because - the. exact. same. thing. every. single. trial.

How you're supposed to use DS: To extend a chase when you have recently been unhooked.
How I use DS: Basic immunity to save other survivors, perform objectives, secure escapes, and have immunity while I free rain to distract the Killer.

Ninja played this game for a solid week and none of his viewers were interested in the game. Also you're confusing difficulty with game knowledge. DBD you have to learn all 20 killers and how to interact with their power, learn over 130 perks, learn all the maps, learn how to run every loop optimally, know when to drop chases or go for saves, handle the extremely toxic fan base, AND dump the money into the game when they have Fortnite which is free and much more appealing to someone of their age. This game may have some kids, but its not kid friendly in any way.
You don't even nearly have to learn that much, and as far as loops go you only need to learn 4 most common ones

1) we don't know why he got banned unless he told you privately since you can't discuss punishments on these forums.
2) I have a feeling that posting about your experience and posting several threads an hour laden with profanity saying about how much they hated the game are two different things. Several threads an hour. That violates forum rules.
3) I don't play enough killer? My bad, didn't realise streaming several hours of killer gameplay daily (until I took a break) and being rank 1 meant I didn't play enough, sorry.
I never said this game was perfect, I said the devs were trying. I never said it was great, I said that gave a #########.
Where's the proof they give a care? They do changes only when they need to keep Killer's, because they know they need them. Not to satisfy them, or enough to make the role fun. The big recent changes only happened because after the Ruin update there was nothing but a stream of Killer players leaving, including big name youtubers/streamers. They are even nerfing a Killer who isn't even strong, because he's difficult for newer players to play next. Instead of realizing it's one of the few killers that can even beat an average player. It's just a little too obvious if you ask me, or I never should of gone to buisness school.

You're crazy if you think the very minuscule amount of kids who would ever get this game would survive the learning curve.
Big oof. There is already kids on this game as is. This game requires less skill than Fortnite. You should stop while you're behind your ignorance is showing.

So the multitude of changes over the entire lifespan of the game mean the devs don't care for killers? Interesting.
Nurse and Ruin I agree were completely unjustified, same with Billy if it makes it through PTB, but I've agreed with almost every change made that remains in live to this day.
I say to take a break because I see posts from this guy HOURLY if not more saying about how ######### the game is, using profanity every other word. At that point, they need a break because this game isn't a game anymore and it isn't fun.
I've taken my fair share of breaks and they've helped. I'm speaking from my own experience because I want everyone to enjoy the game they're meant to enjoy.
Litlerally the dude got banned for putting out his terrible experience. This is more than enough proof the dev's amount of care for the Killer's experience in this game. Either you glued your tin hat too strong to your head, or you don't play Killer enough to even understand how god awful it is for someone who just wants to play this game casually as a Killer main.

They fixed things that were never supposed to be in the game in the first place. Of which only got fixed becasue literally a majority of their killer playerbase up and left when they finally had enough. It doesn't stop the SWF's, and the abuse Killer's get from the players. They also didn't change the emblem system / point system to make the role feel more rewarding.
They are trying to pump out new Killer's as fast as a possible to keep players coming in to play Killer, and then leave - just to barely keep the game stable. The reason you don't see red rank killer's as a red rank survivor is because all the red rank killer's stop playing when they hit 4. The reason you face so many yellow/green rank is because they are the only ones playing Killer left, new players that are just getting a taste of how awful it is to play this role.

Okay, at least we can agree maps are awfully balanced. My point still stands on you taking a break though; please man, for your own health at this point. The game clearly isn't fun anymore for you and you're just playing it for the sake of playing it.
People seriously need to stop replying to people having a rough time with the game with "Just take a break". Like you don't think people have been taking breaks? They are pissed off because even after taking breaks the same ######### is still happening, because the Dev's seem to rather throw their killer's under the bus instead of balanacing the game. Players are not supposed to be forced to be tools for the other players enjoyment and that's all the Killer role is.

So you got beat by a team and now have decided to camp the next team you face because..? What, every survivor is in on the conspiracy to make your life as miserable as possible? Did I miss the memo?
Also, I said this in a previous thread and I'll say it again here, please take a break. This game clearly isn't fun for you from your posts, and it's just going to ruin everyone's experiences more if you don't. Take a couple days off, for the sake of your own health, please man. Getting angry at this game every day will only do the opposite and make you more unhappy.
Well if we are being honest the amount of toxic survivors greatly outweigh the amount of decent ones. So imo they should go to it, chances are the survivors he's camping deserved it anyways.

Thank you for this @Hoodied it explains things very well.
The Devs do know their own game, they know their game very well indeed. And yes, Billy will now require that little bit more skill to effectively manage his power - I personally don't see that as a bad thing at all. He's still going to be very strong and there's still going to be counterplay to him.
We're still waiting on counterplay for SWF, and most survivor meta perks. Why nerf stronger killer's who are the only ones that stand a chanace against a slightly above average survivor? That doesn't make much sense to me. I know Killer's have been getting some buff recently, if you can call them buffs - they have all been more like balance fixes that never should of been a problem in the first place. The game reached a tipping point where it needs to keep Killer's in the game, but we still have the problem that Killer's don't even want to play because the role is too stressful. The game needs Killer's to even remain afloat - nerfing them now or in the next few months is just asking for more to leave.
before anyone tells me "There is counterplay to SWF and/or Survivor Meta perks". Yes, but that counterplay shouldn't be to waste time, as the Killer's most important resource in the game is time. Waiting out a DS, or BT for example wastes Killer's valuable time and more often that is more detrimental to the Killer in the long run. It's not counterplay if your only two options both cost the Killer the game. Inb4 "Just don't tunnel", sometimes that can't be helped either. For example if a killer hooks a survivor, then as they are hooking another that survivor get's unhooked. The survivor with DS runs to the other survivor and unhooks them. Then you have 2 survivors both with DS active, and you're option is to ignore them and let them finish the half done generator next to the hooks, or walk across the map to the other 1-2 survivors nearly done of another generator - that are at full health and possibly never been hooked once. What should a Killer do in that situation? All options are not good ones, and require a lot of luck to turn around. These kinds of situations occur too often for Killer's and Survivor's don't even realize or understand it.
-
Survivor Perk: Take The Shot
• The trial starts with Take The Shot inactive.
• After successfully searching a chest Take The Shot activates.
• After successfully searching a chest, the chest does not spawn an item. Instead the survivor begin's holding a revolver, or a revolver appears in a belt holster.
• To use the revolver. The survivor must be standing completely still. Hold M2, and then fires with M1.
• When fired Take The Shot deactivates. Take the Shot can only be active once per trial.
• If the survivor hits the Killer with Take The Shot, the Killer is stunned for 1/1.5/2 seconds.
Killer Perk: Predative Instinct
• Every 360/300/240 seconds Survivor's aura's are revealed to the Killer for 2 seconds.
Predative Instinct does not trump hidden aura's by any means (Ex; Hiding in a Locker, Sole Survivor, and Distortion will all still hide a survivors Aura)
A synopsis.
Take the Shot is an extremely powerful perk, that would be useful in many situations, while at the same time bringing the horror aesthetic where a survivor finds a gun, and only gets one shot out of it before losing it entirely. It's limited to chests that spawn on the map, so not all survivors can utilize the perk, unless they are a coordinated and use offerings to increase the amount of chests in a single Trial, and even then it's a once per trial perk, so survivor's can't abuse it's power. It's as useful as perks like Unbreakable, Deliverance, and NOED, where as you may not get to use the perk, but it's very powerful for when you do.
Predative Instinct is a base perk simply to keep the the game flowing. In the current meta it's become to easy to simply hide from Killer's, and then in solo matches - survivors will most often ignore the generator objective and wait out for the hatch mechanic when the game isn't going in their favor. This perk allows Killer's a better chance at finding survivors during a stalemate. The timing is every 4 minutes, because a normal match doesn't last longer than 10-15 minutes, so the Killer would only get use out of this strong of a perk 2-3 times in a given match. Unless the survivors were going out of their way to take the game hostage by hiding for the hatch mechanic, which this perk would counter and curb 2-3 survivors taking the game hostage. In addition with the perk appearing only ever 4 minutes, it's not as reliable as other aura reading abilities like Barbeque & Chili, or Bitter Murmur that would - in a normal game - get more use. Also it would be too weak for a Killer to take Predative Instinct with another Aura Reading ability, as other perks are requried for a Killer to take to counter meta perks that survivors normally use. In my opinion Predative Instinct would be an all around balanced perk to have in the game, that makes sense for those that find they are often facing teams that take the game hostage, or otherwise has difficulty finding survivors during a trial.

Most of u on the forums complain about how survivor sided it is I get that well I saw a post where they want a meta change because they are tired of being Ds or Bt or unbreakable but if you want survivors to stop running those perks don't camp bt won't activate. Don't tunnel ds will run out and don't slug unbreakable won't work. Simple u want a meta change U change meta.
You're wrong, the reason why Killers hate the use of these perks now, is because they are getting used for more than their intended purpose. It's common knowledge now to simply wait till the Killer is close to use BT, a free hit, and speed burst is much stronger than just getting off the hook safely. DS survivors will purposly defend the nonprotected survivors knowing that if they get downed, they are immune for 40+seconds, much more than enough time to finish objectives. Including forcing the killer to take the DS by jumping in and out of lockers, or staying on a generator. Survivors will even go as far as to notification spam the killer simply because they know they are pratically immune for 60 seconds after the unhook, and if the Killer ignores them than they some vision, and all hearing. Survivors will act recklessly when using unbreakable in situations they know that the Killer will most likely have to slug them - like if they are very far ahead, or second last survivor.
These perks are more than just anti-tunnel, anti-camp, and anti-slug. Which to be fair the perks were not even put in the game for those purposes in the first place, they helped sure, but that wasn't the entire point of them. They were simply made to extend a chase somewhat longer. Players have learned how to use them to their fullest potential as common knowledge, and now they are far too powerful compared to other perks and the general balance of the game.
Iron Will included. A single perk that entirely negates the Killer's ability to hear you in a game where they must rely on sound alone? Seriously?
-
I wonder if BHVR has finished that Killer bot yet to keep their game afloat when they all finish leaving - or is their plan to keep relasting new killer's so they have new players that will just get abused and thrown out by the cult following still here?
-
I try to make it feel like a win, but we all know the last 2 are just going to be toxic af in the end game chat and take that away from you - or teabag at the gate / abuse the hatch. There is just no winning when you play Killer.

Care to actually elaborate on why mine and these two other comments are bad and why we should be banned because right now you've added nothing to the conversation.
I also stick by my entire statement no matter what you have an issue with. Telling someone to quit a video game because they themselves dislike it is dumb. This dude is also having mental issues over a video game and that tells me he should move on from it and find something more his own pace. It's obviously not for him.
He also only has one post, supposedly has over 1000 hours and wrote a wall of text. My money is OP is someones alt and they're just looking for a laugh. In fact I'm sure they've enjoyed the responses thus far.
Actually I do add to the conversation by bring light of one big issue with this game and it's toxic community - making examples of your posts that added nothing to the conversation except only to insult the OP, and ignore him. While all OP did was suggest that Killer's that are finding the game a toxic cesspool that will never be helped, to speak with their money and leave the game because that's the only way BHVR will listen.
All the while you just tell OP to leave, on his post of him saying he was leaving the game. At the same time making assumptions about them.
But good job trying to twist your words into something - anything even, you're not very good at manipulation, you've proved nothing but being toxic hypocrite, and are apart of the big problem with the game and it's community. Good day.
-
There is no DC penalty now? So that person that left the match in my game the other day didn't even get a penalty?
Cool. Then I'm not coming back to the game until at least the DC penalty comes back, and many other Killers. We are seriously not just some survivors punching bag.

Yep, that's this game for you.. A tip I would use is when they call you bad in endgame chat just agree with them and say how bad you are as a tunneler camper noob and say how great they are. It makes them salty. I wish you luck and hope you come back soon and try to ignore the annoying nerds who play this game 24/7
Basically. It's why I started taaking breaks. Before I would post alot about the state of the game, and that the reason it's so bad for Killers for more than just the mechanics in the game that make them out to be treated as nothing more than just a tool for the survivors to have fun.
All those posts got were the regular "Then just take a break. The game will be fun when you come back, and when it isn't fun again take another break". Well that's what I been doing. For quite a few months now. I take a break for a month, come back, and the very first game back goes the same way VS an insanely coordinated team, that bully me, and treat me awfully in the end game chat - regardless if they win or lose.
In a game where the Killer is literally the player that is holding their game up, you would think they would be putting in a lot more effort in curbing these abusive players.
So after just one game, I drop the proof back here on the forums where they kept telling me "Just take a break", and then leave for another month. Watch twitch, the updates, and see what BHVR does to make the game a better experience for killers.

For real tho. Some killers need to stop trying to fool themselves into believing every squad that loads in around the same time is swf. I have logs of post-game messages from playing solo survivor and escaping, yet the killer insists we were a trash 4-man swf, no matter how many times you say you aren't even squaded up ┐('~`;)┌ . Like with any team-based game, sometimes you just get good teammates who all know what they're doing.
It deffiently would curb some toxicity, and at the same time be helpufl to help Killer's learning. SWF plays differently than Solo - which would be easier to pick up on if there was a clear indication if you were against a SWF or not.

Ok.
No seriously, like with how frequently he can even acess the cage the loss for getting caged isn't even that bad. Honestly I would sooner say every killer should have a mechanic like this to make the game more fair.

You can hook a keyboard and mouse up to console.
I am very surprised how many people don't know this.
-
I do not see why you would see adding a Killer with as many mechanics as he has, and a survivor with 3 perk's that interact uniquely with so much in the maps to be a hotfix. There is so much content here, the new map alone isn't even a hotfix - so much work had been put into it. Not only is it a big map but with a lot of detail and minor things added - would have taken me years to do alone, I imagine quite a few months for the team that works on maps.
Then on top of that they made balancing changes to Clown, and plan for more for the release. This is looking like a very big patch to me.
-
Omg this is like the best day ever! Pyramid Head is like the exact thing this game needed! I am so happy!

There's already players playing with controllers on PC. Also both Xbox, and Playstion are Keyboard/Mouse compatiable. I do not know about the Switch.

and
Borrowed Time, Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, Iron Will

Not as important as Pyramid Head

It's an ever evolving game, of course it's graphics are going to get better, and if you are relying on minimum requirements to run a game - then obviously you are going to have to upgrade when that happens as well.
It's not a scam, you're choosing to play a game at the bare minimum requirements.

I agree, SWF give a huge advantage but I don’t want them gone. Also as a killer I can say that probably half the SWF aren’t try hards they’re just buddies screwing around. Sometimes they are trying to copy toxic teams they saw but they suck at body blocking and flashlights so they make it even easier lol.
After playing Killer a long time (like +2000 hours). You start to see how SWF and Solo are different. At the same time you start to see the SWF's that play the game to be casual and have fun, and then the ones that built a 4man team in a competitive discord server, and play the base game like an esport (They exist, I have been known to play in some of these teams - yes there are groups of survivors that have team names).
Telling the Killer who was in a swf helps show that divide more clearly and the Killer can learn from their mistakes easier. Dead by daylight is a stressful game, and when you are stressed out at an end game screen - too many just look at the scoreboard and go "You guys obviously are SWF", don't learn anything, and try to move on. This will help them.
@Onyx_Blue said:
Maybe analyse your own in-game errors, and the plays the survivors made vs you to learn how to improve for next time. The only thing people will do with a UI at the scoreboard is use it to brag that they "destroyed a 4-man". Streamers names pop into mind at the mere thought of this suggestion. So no, I hope this feature never gets put in. It isn't hard to get better by just being self-critical
God forbid a Killer feel better about playing the game. I totally forgot that it was the Killer's job to just be a punching bag for the survivors entertainment lul
-
Honestly? Too much. I have actually been treated poorly, not by just the community, but even a forum mod and a dev. Made me regret putting so much support into the game as I did, and also see where some mods/dev abuse their stature like a child (i'm not going to say any names). Though when it happened it made me stop playing the game as much, and that helped not only my mental health, but allowed me to find more positive communities to be apart of.
I'll still play the game from time to time with friends, or finish Archives, but it's only a matter of time before I get bored of this game it's imbalance, and toxic community before I leave for good - then that's just another Killer main gone.
-
I think showing who is in SWF in the end game screen would curb toxicity, because the Killer wouldn't have a reason to blindly assume they've faced a SWF. It might not make the Killer feel better, but it deffiently would give him a reason not to be toxic over SWF.
The whole purpose of the situation is adapting more clarity learning into the game. It's easy for a Killer to lose a match, and with the added stress the brain will use invasive thoughts to deter the stress. So immediatly blaming the survivors for being in a SWF. Seeing that they are not in SWF forces the brain to have a moment of clarity for another (more possible) reason for losing. As far as a person reacts to another though direction is really based on the person.

Not sure about the hook thing. But the "teleporting" to other dolls would work well.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1299058#Comment_1299058
Maybe he needs a speed burst thing, not running like legion but more like nurse? Someone smarter can think of a reason. or his soul leaves the dummy for awhile to hunt (feral frenzy like thing) then returns to the doll. I dunno, lots of options
Just make his base speed 4.6 m/s
-
Lol I felt like that was a bit click baity, but I couldn't think of anything shorter that still got the message across.
-
I had an idea for Chucky. When he put's survivors on hooks he uses voodoo to levitate them onto the hook. His special power is there are 3-4 inactive dolls randomly generated around the map. Chucky can activate them which then they basically are a proxy alarm for if a survivor passes infront of them. He can then transfer his soul to an inactive doll across the map, leaving the previous doll sitting and facing the direction it was in when he left it. As far as his character goes, his design is shorter than other killers, same height as a crouched ghostface/pig. So he can't see over objects/prefabs, but at the same time survivors have a hard time seeing him over objects/prefabs.
-
Rank doesn't equate to skill, and the reason you play against red ranks as a green rank is because Killers don't play the game as much as Survivors.
-
Lockers
-
You can pay only $10 to get the premium, which it then will give you $10 worth of Auric Cells to buy the next battle pass.
So for 1 purchase of the premium battle pass, could effectively give you premium battle pass for life.
AND YOUR HERE COMPLAINING YOU DONT GET FREE MONEY FOR FREE?

@Bovinity said:
Honestly, like I said in another thread, I'm thinking about just leaving the forum for now.
There's just too much extreme survivor-biased nonsense. People backseating, insulting, and judging killers for everything.
It gets to the point that survivors are justifying suicide on hook or disconnecting and actually being met with agreement rather than derision. I've never seen that in a gaming community before.
I don't know why people can't just let others play the game as they see fit and within the rules. I don't care if you bring four Brand New Parts and go insane on gens and loop shack all day because I'm trash and can't catch you. So why the endless harassment because I had the nerve to hit you?
This is what I'm talking about. I could probably go through, and make a short list of the members actually talking about how the game is still unfun for Killer's even after the changes, and that is because all the other Killers left and still havn't come back. People are quick to say "Well there are still threads about DS, SWF, and Keys so clearly they didn't leave". That's all the small group of Killer's you have left to play with, and in those very threads you see them get harassed and critisized for even mentioning what they dislike about the game - simply only giving them more reason to leave.
It's almost like as if people just want all the Killer's to leave and have the dev's make the Killer role a bot at this point.
Don't get me wrong though, the changes so far have been good. The whole reason I still read the forums and play the game every so often (I'm only playing Survivor for now) is because I hope to see this game make a good comeback. I really don't want to see the game take the same direction as Deathgarden, even though it was looking like it was going that way before the recent update.
