I guess many killers just think that winning equals the most possible BP which isnt always the case. Also there are a lot of survivor groups that also go out of their way to win as fast and as clearly as possible not thinking about the killers BP either. I had really many groups that burnt 3 terrormisu and 1 really strong survivor map to make sure that they get out. Also I got so many BNP during this event as many the entire past 2 months.
Some ppl just do it to ruin the fun, other ppl just do it cause they think winning brings most points. But it goes both ways not just the survivor side.
-
I still remember how so many players on this forum complained that all they ever saw in their matches was spirit nurse blight before wesker was a thing.
I think since he came out many ppl just switched to him since hes not as opressive as those killers but still decent enough to make an impact when it matters. Its honestly a byproduct of killers not being able to switch killer in lobby anymore.
U get an absolute beginner Team while queuing as nurse and u feel bad, u get a super high Level team while queuing as pig ur f.....
Wesker is just the solid middle ground that is prepared for everything without having to invest super much into learning him cause hes not hard to Pick up. So many ppl play him
-
Its considered bad cause 1 survivor is literary taken out of the game and can do nothing against it when all they did is lose 1 chase. They might have queued for 10 minutes, got into the game were found immidiately had a 15 second chase and then could do nothing but stare in the killers face for 3 minutes while hitting the ocassional skillcheck. Then they need to requeue.
Also DBD is very famous for either side feeling that something is super unfair. The game in their minds is designed as a 4 vs 1 game so when u make it a 3 vs 1 ahead of the appropriate time u are breaking the rules in their eyes.
Thats not to say that tunneling or camping isn't necessary sometimes. I've had games where after a 40 second chase 3 gens were gone, when I hooked the survivor the 4th gen was gone. Happens most of the time with very efficient swfs, that are on comms and perfectly coordinate.
Here most of the time camping and trying to bait out their altruistic side is ur only bet to even have a chance of winning. Bet on them to try everything to save their friend and possibly get a 1vs2 trade and try to snowball off of it.
Or u have hooked the survivor in the middle of the final three gen. Theres literary no reason to leave now and you would throw the game if you do so.
But theres also the killers that just camp to make their game easier and not because its necessary. They won't even try to down someone else or get into chase but just stand in Front of the hook with 5 gens left and hope that the survivor dies when maybe 2 gens are still left and they have an easy game from then on. Thats the playstyle most ppl have a problem with since it makes the game artificially easier for the killer in their eyes. Here the killer isn't even trying to win the game in the designed way but just camps and then snowballs of it. If the killer remotely knows what they are doing and there is more than one gen left its very hard to win against. It is a very unfun playstyle from the survivor perspective cause first u stare at a gen for 3 minutes doing nothing but hitting skillchecks and boring urself to death only to then immidiately get completely rolled once the camped or tunneled survivor dies.
So to sum up imo ppl consider it bad cause it Breaks the Balance of the game in their eyes and is unfun for the survivor it is done to and sometimes the entire team. Is it necessary sometimes? Absolutely! Is the camping update a bad idea? For solo queue survivors that are just camped cause killers want to have an easy time with a 3 vs 1 no. For swfs that are so hard to win against anyways yes cause now it will be nearly impossible ti win unless u brought a strong killer on a decent map. So its pretty much a double edged sword imo.
-
Lethal Pursuer, Darkness revealed, Forced Hesitation, Hex Blood Favour.
U can switch lethal for infectious fright.
The idea is to down multiple survivors at once and snowball of it. U find someone, down them and infectious tells u what other survivors are closeby. Forced Hesitation hinders them long enough to get in 2 throws and also makes it difficult to dodge since they are slow. Blood Favour blocks all the pallets so you cant be outplayed.
-

For now... hard start. 2 Skull merchants, all 3 gen playing. No chance. 2 Tunneling Killer.
Well you cant do anything about the players sadly.
And why you can collect invitations that are really good on killer but horrible for survivors?
You can spawn a pallet as a survivor, but only in chase and you need to spam q. And when i used it on a killer, it breaks directly and doesnt give a stun. Not worth it.
You can block Windows, which is also buggy. Killer can vault anyway.
But killers can get endurance with invitations?
Break pallets like Knight? (Every pallet)
How is this fair?
I happily waited for the event, but some players want to make some people suffer (a lot of toxic guys, who stated that they dont want to play the event, just trying to make the time survivors have miserable).
Its sad. Maybe i try tomorrow again.
Just to point out the opposite side to that: When the killer "chases" multiple survivors all of them can spawn pallets and the cooldown for spawning them isnt that long tbh. If u get an swf that just keeps respawning a god pallet in a strong loop they can completely lock u down which happened to me.
-
After havin done some extented research in endgame chat I can positvely confirm that most survivors hate every killer except for never uncloaking wraith. So I suggest we just ban all killers and ban wraiths ability to uncloak for the event and we should be ready to go with the fun time.

You clearly play a side game.
If you think you're right then you haven't played the game in a while or you've played something else.
But no problem, have fun playing with bots.
Oh boi is it the annual "the game is dead noone will play, queue times will explode" day again?
Forgot to mark it in my calender last year.
-
I guess somewhat balanced. Legion struggles against survivors that really adapt a counter playtsyle to them like spreading out, not healing to full, people in frenzy bodyblocking for their teammates etc.
If the survivors just play casually and stand close Legion can actually Dominate.
I think they will be one of the great losers of the Patch tbh. Legions great advantage was that u could keep people from doing gens by constantly forcing them to ment oder heal. With the new Update survivors won't bother healing and just go for gens.
-
For me it was getting so invested in the game that all the toxicity actually started hurting a bit. Also I feel like the rift between survivors and killers has grown over the years.
Also playing DBD fells much more like "work" than real fun nowadays. Like there are still fun matches but also a lot of matches that are just not fun. Like a skull merchant taking u hostage for half an hour or survivors that are just hiding or being sent to rpd 10 times in a row.
That paired with BHV apparently being afraid of allowing a meta and killer quality getting worse in recent times made me just play DBD very sporadic recently.
-
1 word: MONEY
-
I mean killer got nerfed too just not that hard cause since erruption is gone killers are struggling to find a New "op meta". But BHV always also tackled strong killers or strong perks even if it took a while.
Also as ppl should by now have figured out BHV doesnt nerf or buff based on opinions or complaints of the playerbase but solely statistics. So if DH gets nerfed its just overused. If healing gets nerfed a statistics came back that probably said survivors dont spent enough time healing in a match or everyone just brought medkits everygame.
It has nothing to do with this side said or that side said. Just numbers
-

Killer mains you got what you wanted congratulations…
Can’t wait to see the next perk to why you’re not getting 4ks consistently down / Wins. Wonder what you're gonna go after next… Maybe lithe Oh No it’s definitely gonna be Sb. Deadhard was fine and easily counterable but what the survivors say don’t matter because this game is killer sided!!!
U realise that the killers arent at fault for this right? Like BHV just decides these things based on statistics and not the complaints of the playerbase. If DH gets nerfed it only means that either it was used too much or some other data with it probably didnt come back like BHV wanted. Same with the other perks. It has nothing to do with what players said but only what numbers came back.
-
You just need to play so u either have the most fun in matches or you get the best results. Like why should you care that the survivors complain 3 gening is unfair or that u camped and tunneled. Same goes for the survivors. If they want to run 4 man gen squad with 4 DHs why not do that if it gives them the results they desire or its fun for them. Doesnt matter if the killer complains about it or not. Either side can run whatever they want and its the other sides job to find out how to deal with it. Not to give an essay in endgame chat on how this was unfair, they would have never lost otherwise and the other side needs to change their playstyle.
-
This honestly isn't as much of an issue as u make it out to be.
Maybe 2% of killers switch their builds to adjust to the survivors items. Most killers have their builds planned out before they go into a match and won't sacrifice a perk slot for Lightborn or Franklin's if it's possible to just play around these things. In most cases it even gives u an advantage since the survivors will come close to greed for the fl save and not sit on gens.
And people that run Franklin's wanted to run Franklin's anyways and not cause they saw 4 medkits in the lobby and went: yepp counter time.
I mostly use seeing the survivors to decide whether I would probably be happier to dodge a match. If the survivors are all named "toxic dude 1-4" and all bring fls have each 8000h in dbd and I queued as pig I might really wanna dodge that. Cause other than survivors if killers don't like a match they can't just suicide on first hook or at worst bleed out. Killers have to play the game until either they manage to finish or the survivors decide to finish which with experienced survivors with strong bully builds vs a weak killer can take a while tbh.

Soo... because you have an issue you think that nobody should be able to play the game.
Yeah I was totally 100% absolutely serious with this comment.
-
Another one is probably:
- Only survivors have map choice rights. If u as a killer choose a map though shall be branded as sweaty which is frowned upon in survivor circles.
-
At this point im willing to say the entire game needs to be killswitched
-
2 other additions I can think of:
- It is ur responsibility as a killer to make sure that survivors get unhooked in time. If you somehow crossed paths with the survivor that they decided should go for the rescue, delaying him/her and therefore making the person on the hook reach second stage or even die, u should dc for the sake of fairness or at least not participate in this game for another 60 seconds.
- If you use noed you are required to uninstall DBD after the match and never to touch it again EVER. Also ur a horrible person IRL
-
Its more amazing to me how many ppl seem to have an absolutely miserable time playing this or are mad and annoyed at everything in this game and still keep playing for some reason
-
The biggest tip would probably be something like:
- Use mainly the guards to break stuff for you while you are chasing survivors or doing something else. Setting the guards up to break a pallet or a gen mostly takes around 1 second and is faster than you doing it urself.
- Dont try to use them in actual chases or to set up real patrol paths. Just try to instaspawn a guard to block an exit to a loop and then try to outmaneuver the survivor in the loop. If they leave u have time to catch up until the next loop, if they don't leave and the guard actually spots them try to block them off, so that either you or the guard get a hit in.
- He feels a lot like a drag out killer so you should prio gens and resource destruction rather than actually downing people. When most pallets are gone survivors will be forced to loop or just run and this is where u can either use ur guards to defeat the loop or just chase them and down them.
- For perks I would mostly go gen regression so you have time to shape the map and stbfl to make u super strong in chases if it gets close to endgame.
- Ur guards aren't that stron in chases but they are great detection tools. If u are sure theres a survivor hiding nearby (for example bushes in dead Dawg) setting up a patrol path by these bushes is pretty worth it.
-
I feel like the biggest tips would probably be:
- Dont try to use his power in chases or the set up a real patrol path. Try to just instaspawn a guard to block an exit of a loop and get immidately back to chasing the survivior. Should a guard catch on to a survivor try to outmaneuver them or get in front of them so that either u or the guard can get a hit in.
- Use ur guards mainly to break stuff for u while u are chasing someone or are on ur way to somewhere else. Most survivors will leave the loop instantly when the guard starts breaking the pallet. So when u set up the breaking instantly try to outmaneuver the survivors so u get a hit in.
- I play a 3 gen regression perks together with stbfl atm and I'm feeling that this build actually works quite well. He seems a lot like legion in that u try to drag the game out until most resources are gone and then try to finish fast and create pressure. Ur guards breaking stuff for u while u are applying pressure really helps with that.
- If u should get lucky and u get the game u will literary shred survivors there since those loops are long with one exit and one entrance. This is the only map that the guards are actually very decent in.
- If u are sure that a survivor is nearby instaspawn a guard on u. They aren't great chasers but at least they are decent at detecting survivors.
-

I've been getting RPD constantly since the update.
It is normal that you get one map far more frequently than others for some reason. I had evenings where I only got cowshed or ormond the entire evening even though I switched killer after every match. It should normally reset/move on to another map after a couple of days at least it does for me
-
I think he is a lot like sadako was at the beginning. He can be fairly decent if u adopt a certain loadout and playstyle but overall he is mediocre at best.
The true tragedy of this chapter is that it somehow managed to break the entire game. From bugs to literally bringing back godloops or bushes completely blocking shack loop for killer but not for survivor or the ability once again to get stuck in the environment. Everything is a hot mess atm which is increased by dc penalty being a thing which means u just have to sit it out when you encounter things like this.
Fun chapter 10/10
-
Happened to me on garden of joy. A bush so huge right next to killer shak and exit gate that it was possible for the survivors to fit through the gap between bush and wall but not for plague.
Upsets me in 2 ways:
A) WADDAFUQ is this? Unbreakable loops for killers. nerf pig
B) are u saying my girl plague is fat?
-
I actually had some good results with him by just using the guards to do stuff like kick gens or destroy pallets while im chasing another survivor. They are absolutely useless in chase though and everytime u try to set up something with them u just make it worse since survivors just gain distance.
The guards are way too slow to ever catch up in a chase and their pathfinding is just horrendous. They get stuck on everything even though I'm not even sure if thats their fault or the collission just being what it is on most maps.
I generally like the idea of a killer like the knight but he is badly executed and his timing is very bad. We are in the middle of the "hold W" meta so a killer that would have been capable of at least partially shaking this meta up would have been way better imo. That killer wouldn't even have to be super strong but just something holding W wouldn't help against and encourage survivors to actually reconsider their builds and learn how to properly loop and not just hold W and hammer spacebar and try to make it through the match. That would make the matches way more diverse and not the stale survivors with sprint burst on huge map vs nurse type of thing. Maybe even encourage many killers to switch of nurse or blight since the survivor builds did get more diverse but thats just thinking loudly.
But yeah he is pretty bad and totally can't keep up with most other killers. Just an M1 killer with a useless gimmick.
If I try to think about how to fix him I really like the idea of the guards actually being able to break stuff on their own. So I would make it that he can look at a gen on the map and then tell his guard to go break it once every 30 seconds or so. Much like the freddy teleport. The guard is super slow and doesnt attack but gives like a cue when he runs into a survivor.
He could then get another power for chases like leaving a guard where he stands that doesnt attack but just blocks a path. Since most jungle gyms have more than one exit anyways that wouldn't be too broken and if the survivor plays it well they would probably get out anyways.
-
Haddonfield and crows map exist so maps being broken isn't new. The only thing they managed by this is to make the maps that were fine broken as well. U know for continuity
-
I feel after a couple of games with him that he is just super weak. Like his power is cool and all but he is so easily countered by just holding W once again. Like as soon as u start setting ur guard everyone just Ws out of the loops and f u chase them the guards mostly dont become active before the survivor is past them. Would be nice if he was actually a killer that changes the meta not falls victim to it as well.

In that i would agree.
If killers can see the info of the entire survivor team, the survivors could at least see the killer they are going up against.
I mean you dont even get that much info from the lobby survivors. You can basically only guess if they are an SWF cause if they are they either don't have their profiles on private and are friends with each other or they mostly have matching names.
Other than that u can only see their prestige and items which with true bully squads doesnt even matter cause they will switch last second.
Seeing the killer would give u way too much info in the lobby already. Basically tells u how to hard counter ur killer.
Legion: Go 4 distortion and 4 sprint bursts and sent him to a huge map. Now hes an m1 killer and frenzy is literary useless
plague: just switch out all the healing items and healing perks since u won't use them anyways and go resilience and genrush perks. U will never want to cleanse now since it doesnt give u an advantage and plagues power is also mostly useless.
trapper: go full aura perks like OoO and alert and you mostly know where he sets all his traps and can disarm them
artist: go 4 sprint burst and just run away from every loop so the birds dont catch you. When artist finally catches up to you if your team isn't completely useless 2 gens are done at least. Just repeat 3 times and the game is over.
........
So in my opinion seeing the killer would be absolutely broken. Would be the same as seeing like 10 of the 16 survivor perks in the lobby and basically knowing which perks u need to counter them.

So you had four people to go for and went for the person who was just unhooked (and by the sounds of it wasn't sweating at all if she didn't bring an exhaustion perk) then blamed the survivors. Ok. More evidence survivors can't use fun perks also as they just get taken advantage of.
I'm not even saying that survivors can't bring exhaustion perks. What I'm saying is that survivors sometimes have to make it more attractive to be chased if they don't want their teammate to be tunneled out of the game.
In this situation, with 1 gen left and the 2 gens in the entrance hall still alive, every other person I could have gone for, would have been game losing. If someone with full health would have been in the entrance dead zone, I would have gone for them. But survivors bringing themselves into the strongest possible loop situation beforehand and then demanding that now you have to go after them even though it would probably take u like 40 seconds to even catch up to them and about 1-2 minutes to down them, just to not tunnel someone is too much from my perspective.
I'm trying not to tunnel but I will also not throw the game by chasing after ppl that I know I have no chance of catching in time.
Someone taking a hit in the hall or just standing next to kate would have been enough for me to not tunnel but everyone literary just waiting to zoom out of there is a big nope for me.

I mean I can relate to all the points made here but we should talk about the real issue of this game:
When is pig finally getting nerfed??

I am saying that the same MMR that can match you with these squads can match you with an uncoordinated, weak soloQ squad whose purpose is not to 'rush tf out a casual killer and ruin its day', and just want to have a normal game. Yet they are also destroyed
I mean that is true but its also the other way around. If I play a "weaker" killer like pig or plague for example I can also get matched with survivor death squads that change last second and bully me the entire game. I can understand why ppl play nurse since its the "prepared for every situation" killer. That doesn't mean shes balanced though.
-
@Rovend said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3260396#Comment_3260396
Yeah, the problem is that then that same nurse goes against a casual soloQ team and crush them effortlesly leaving them with a 4k-8k points and ruining the 4 people day
So Ur basically saying its better when the killer gets destroyed and has no fun than the survivors getting destroyed and having no fun?
-
On the game a couple of times now, midwich, even red forest happened a couple of times. And I double checked when it was clear I wouldn't reach. There really was no hook around anywhere. This and scourge hooks sometimes literary all spawning in a corner could probably be easily fixed tbh but for some reason it isnt
-
Nurse wont get reworked cause Nurse gives killers the feeling of I could have done something different which you wouldnt have had in certain games.
For example: You are plague, go to the artist map, every survivor spawns on a different gen and immidiately sits on it. They are an swf and they are on comms so they tell each other where u are and which killer u are. U find someone instant cause of lethal and have a 20 second chase lets say. When u hooked him/her and go after another survivor on a huge map theres a very big chance that 3 gens are gone. Repeat that with the second chase cause u dont want to camp or tunnel and the game is over after 3 minutes and even though u didnt play bad, cause u had very quick chases theres nothing you could have done. At least u can think to urself, this would have probably been doable with nurse instead of having to think yep it was just impossible to win and get frustrated.
-
Ahhh okay thank you very much for clearing that up. I was very worried that I have to start from the beginning again!

It procs every time because it is impossible to do 10 objectives plus everything else survivors have to do.
Survivors don't really have any second chance perks. Not like NOED.
NOED and exposed perks are not fair. Is it fair to turn a 1K into a 4K because of only one perk?
Didnt you say on the first page that the game is so killer sided that its almost impossible to do 5 gens? Why bother with complaining about a perk that almost no survivor ever got to see and that only legends exist about?
Lets rather start a petition to buff gen speed by 500% first so we are the first survivors ever that will make it out of a match brother. Then we also can confirm if the legends of this so called noed perk and endgame are true. Well be DBD Pioneers and both become famous.
-
I mean for me its not the perks itself but the way they are used by now by good survivor players. For Example
DH: Dead Hard I feel like is mostly fine but it can get super frustrating with certain killers if everyone runs it. Lets say u play against a really good survivor team with each having a couple of 100 hours. Everyone knows how to loop and rarely falls for mindgames. Then finally at some L-T Wall u finally manage to mindgame the survivor, have a brief window to hit them and they just press E and the chase continues for another 90 seconds cause of that. Now multiply this by 12 cause every survivor runs it and ideally u have to hook everyone 3 times before all gens are done. It just gets annoying really fast. Same with Dead harding for distance. Survivors that know how to loop really well are already super hard to catch or to mindgame and if u finally have the chance to catch up they just DH into the next god pallett or the next good loop and ur at it again for another minute.
BT: Is mostly fine but in combination with DS just gets ridicolous sometimes. The survivors unhook someone and u want to go for the unhooker, not the one that got unhooked. So u actually dont want to tunnel. Then the survivor that has BT blocks u from actually chasing the one that unhooked and takes a hit. Now the survivor that has unhooked is long gone so what are u doing now? U can basically only search for a new survivor and with some luck find someone before another 2 gens are done or u chase the obvious target that just bodyblocked you. U chase him, down him and get Dsed. And Voilla u absolutely got nothing out of it.
DS: Is honestly fine on its own but gets used with the other to basically set u checkmate. Someone gets unhooked, u dont want to chase him but now he basically plays human sponge and tries to tank ur every hit with his or her BT, DS und UB combo cause u can do literary nothing then just waste time here. U chase him and down him, u cant pick him up cause of DS, u leave him on the ground: UB saves the day. As a reminder: This perk together with BT was intentionally meant as an anti tunnel perk, so to stop the killer from going after u again and punish him if he does. Also as already mentioned before there are a lot of endgame situations where this perk just feels completely broken. U want to down the survivor u havent downed yet close to the exit gate and the guy that still has DS active throws himself in front of you. Now the exit gate gets opened. Literary the only thing u can do now is watch him crawl out or eat his DS. Feels incredibly frustrating cause u didnt want to tunnel, u wanted the other guy. And now this dude abuses an "anti-tunnel" perk to save his teammate even though u didnt even tunnel.
UB: Most things are said about this one. Fine on its own but used to make the other perks so much stronger.
So in my opinion its not the perks itself but rather the way they are used and their overpresence atm. Most games I play as killer have 4 DHs, at least 3 ds and 1-3 of the other 2 perks. So it just gets boring and frustrating, especially when the survivors already are very good players on their own without these perks. and Noed at least in theory has a counter play if u want to go for all totems with for example counter force just to be save. With these survivor perks u can literary get into some checkmate situations that u just cant do anything about.

Oh yes, the Boil Over buff and the nerf that shortly followed after that made Boil Over a useless perk again. And CoH has already gotten 2 nerfs.
Dead Mans Switch, that got buffed for killers at the same time Boil Over got buffed survivors, Dead Man's Switch didn't however, get nerfed into oblivion, like Boil Over. In fact, that entire patch, survivors didn't get anything worth while. Then we have the Onyro release in which survivors didn't get anything. Now we have another patch in which there are killer buffs and no survivor buffs.
That's 3 patches in a row where survivors haven't gotten anything.
I mean if u want u can have the onryo as a survivor. She isnt a really good killer anyways in the current meta ;)

@sulaiman said:
well, how do you want to compensate survivors for the lost pallets? I would like the stealth option to be viable again, because the game got that many pallets because stealth was heavily nerfed on it, and breakable doors create often deathtraps for survivors. So just reducing pallets dont make the maps more balanced.
I dont really know if survivors need compensation for this tbh. Most maps already have very strong loops that can keep the killer busy for at least 1-2 gens if run correctly. But some maps have these loops AND many unmindgameable pallets. And recently a lot of survivors from what im seeing are just adopting a holding W till i am in the next pallett playstyle. Then they wait there until u arrive, u try to mindgame the pallett, realize its literary not possible cause either they can see u above the surrounding or the environment is too big to effectively mindgame it. So u need to brute force it, break the pallett and repeat. A lot of games play out like this which is really dumb cause its the chases that are supposed to be the most fun. Trying to mindgame each other, faking, looping etc. Most survivors dont bother to learn how to loop effectively anymore cause this playstyle with pallets works just fine. So a pallett reduction would be appreciated so this playstyle at least gets a bit of a bumber. And I mean its not like ur supposed to run the killer for 5 gens, ur supposed to go down eventually and if its balanced correctly u should be on first or second hook or dead if the game is over. So yeah i.m.O. survivors dont really need to be compensated.
-
For me its honestly just a mix of frustration and damage control. Like u play against a super efficient team and you have 1 chase or make 1 mistake and 3 gens are gone its just super frustrating. By camping the one survivor u got at least u get some points. Also most efficient teams that run the strong perks and are hardly mindgameable are swfs and try harder to save it each other from the hooks in my experience than ppl that solo q. So most of the time u can force them to make mistakes by camping and then hope for a comeback which wouldnt be possible any other way.
But yeah for me its just one of the only ways to come back as killer after u make a mistake. Do one of the "forbidden killer techniques" as described in the survivor rulebook. Camping, tunneling, slugging.

All you have to do is look at the killrates. It's delusional to say the game is favoring survivors when killers win a majority of the time. And solos lose even more than that.
Cause as we know is that killrates is the only thing that matters. If I hook someone after the first chase and then just camp till that guy is dead im an absolute S tier killer, the game is clearly killer sided after all i got a kill and bubba needs a hard nerf.
And I mean I also know ur a hardcore survivor defender but the reality is that killers are leaving in rapid numbers, which is why queue times get longer and longer and sbmm goes completely of the rails. So even u need to see that u need to give killers something so that ppl stop leaving or are actually coming back. Cause im not sure if u even thought about that but even u need a killer on the other side otherwise playing survivor doesnt work

And you are just going to ignore 5 years of Survivor-Nerfs? And still think the Devs are catering to Survivors?
Survivors got nerfed A LOT over the years (and rightfully). But if the Devs would cater to them, they would not nerf certain things. In fact, CoH is the only newly introduced Survivor-Perk which was worth running after the release of David. Which was also years ago.
(Sure, they buffed things like Boil Over, but this did not make the Perk strong, just unhealthy...)
And yeah, I think Nerfs to all those Killers were justified. Deathslinger had insane zoning and at certain distances no real counterplay, because it is physically impossible to dodge the Shots in such a short amount of time. Wraith basically had 3 Add On-Slots due to build-in Windstorm, so nerfing the purple All-Seeing was justified (and it did not even change that much...). I disagree on the Speed-Nerf after uncloaking tho, however, it is not like Wraith is unplayable since then.
Spirit had no counterplay. Like, 0. She now got counterplay and still is an S-Tier Killer. It is just not possible to win chases instantly by using her power, which scared a lot of Killer players away from her.
Freddy was so braindead easy that my cat would be able to 4K with him on a reliable basis. His rework only make him an unfun experience, because he was really boring for both sides after the Rework, but just braindead to play. After removing the braindead Parts, the boring parts stayed. He is not weak by any means, but his kit is just flawed.
And Clown... Well, Pinky Finger deserved the Nerf because it was super-easy to get direct Bottle Hits after Clown did not slow down after throwing anymore. However, it did not change much, because the Add On is still a problem and Clown clearly deserved some more Love, because his most recent Buff did not really lift him up. But hey, we get Blight-Buffs basically every Midchapter (by those Devs who cater to Survivors!).
But I know, the Forum Killer Mains will now jump at me. Because how dare I say that Killers dont have it that bad.
I mean noone is denying that there is or was some broken stuff on the killer side as well. But its wrong to say that survivors only got nerfs. Yeah they got a lot of nerfs but there was also a lot of OP stuff introduced when it first came out. Like when CoH first came out it was stupidly broken and destroyed a lot of killer playstyles. So ofc it was nerfed. But if u introduce something like boons and then have to nerf it cause it gets completely out of hand u cant really sell it as "only survivor nerfs". And there wasnt really one ground breaking nerf on the survivor side or a buff on the killer side in recent times if i can remember correctly. Everything they introduced and ppl complained about they immidiately changed or nerfed again.
But this whole discussion with this side is stronger or this side got nerfed more is pointless anyways. What they do now is the typical BHV approach. They know that they need to do something cause queue times for survivors explode since a lot of killers left in recent times. So now they just buff the weakest killers and a really useless status effect like hemorhagge that noone really woked with anyways and will now sell it as absolutely ground breaking. Now they probably are hoping that some of the killers that went "nope" see this and go "hmm.. BHV tries to make it better for killers maybe give it another go" and come back which fixes the queue times without making survs too upset cause who cares if legion got buffed tbh.

dude, we JUST got the hemorrhaged rework announced. If you run sloppy survivors can not abuse resilience and if you scare someone healing away. they lose progress while relocating. This is a VERY killer sided midchapter. And even if you don't like legion or ghostface the hemorrhaged rework is a huge improvement.
Might be that the hemorrhaged rework benefits the killers but it still doesnt adress a lot of issues that ppl are having with this game. Tunneling meta is still present both for killers and survs, no looking at gen speeds and nothing about queue times, sbmm, dead hard and other issues. Its the old BHV approach: Give ppl something unrelated and try to sell it as groundbreaking and cool. And then in their minds everyone goes "OMG Hemorrhaged rework, exactly what I was waiting for; THKS BHV; Im coming back to play killer and to buy every available skin in the shop now cause I love this game now". At least thats how I imagine it plays out in their minds

Killer meta is boring and the same? Sometimes I follow a survivor that Im in strike distance to for 5-10 seconds cause I cant imagine that they dont have DH. Killers will run whatever they feel necessary to fit their gamestyle tbh. With the way the game is atm I guess most killers just run this build to buy themselves some time to actually play. Most of the time when u engage in a chase which is actually the fun part as a killer u hook someone and the next second 2 or 3 gens pop. And u supposed to repeat that 11 more times. So I can understand why most ppl run this build tbh.

The whole tunneling discussion is just so tiresome. Why shouldnt u tunnel when u find a survivor out of position or they wasted their ds. Its literary giving up an advantage for some weird honor codex that some ppl make up to exist in DBD. Just play however u want and let the other side do the same. Only happens in DBD. Imagine someone in a fps game would be saying "Omg u shot me twice in a row; ur such a tunneler; reported". People in this game worry too much about how the other side should play and too little about how to improve their own gameplay basically.
-
yeah u can at least report it but u really think something will happen? It will probably just go under like most reports that happen.
-
Honestly why shouldnt you tunnel? If u can kill someone and play against 3 survivors why not do it? Makes the games much more relaxing and u dont have this "one ######### up by me and its over" feeling the entire game. Demanding not to get tunneled would basically be the same as demanding that survivors dont finish the last gen thats 99 cause the killers hasnt hooked everyone twice yet.
And honestly I dont really think it is a "meta".The game is just so broken atm that a lot of streamers also started playing this way and everyone just copies it now. But I dont think u can fix this anymore. Its always easier to play vs 3 than vs 4

I can really really understand you. Unfortuanetely for some survivors in this game winning just isnt enough anymore. They are so bored by how easy it is to go up against a beginner killer or a killer that isnt on their level that they find their fun in ruining ur experience however they can by making it as toxic as possible. The problem was here before sbmmr but since that exists I feel like it has become much much worse since apparently the really good survivors that are at peak mmr are just put up against whichever killer was unfortunate enough to queue first no matter if they are in that mmr or not.
The game itself is actually quite fun if u get beyond that point but yeah I would agree that with the system in place like it is it is probably one of the worst times to start learning killer. Hopefully it gets changed soon and then you can give this game another shot

I also had 2 swfs do this to me today. I mean u can win by just slugging them as was already said but that really isnt the point. I think if u get into a position in this game where just by the perks the survivors run u are literary either forced to give up on the hook or just leave them slugged there is something wrong tbh.. It also totally denies the purpose of the game in my opinion to chase someone around the map and finally down them and then get nothing in return. Feels really unrewarding and if ppl do it on pupose its just unfun as hell. I hope the devs rework it somehow either by nerfing it so u can make it to a hook or by looking at the hook placements and making sure u can at least reach one or two hooks from everywhere on the map no matter what survivors run and the survivors have to take action by blocking or saboing for u not to reach a hook.

Better yet, apparently they are happy just getting one down. Yeah calling bs on that for sure, but I get the feeling OP is just trolling so whatevs.
I don't really get what would be the reason to do that tbh :D I basically just came here to get an answer for my question which was why MMR doesnt put me up against easier survivors when I keep getting my ass handed to me. And I got that answer. Since I kept losing after posting it and since I dont have another time I can play in the week than after work I'm basically done with this game for now until they improve the MMR system so that it doesnt depend on the time of day I play wether I get survivors that are actually on my level or just Death Squads that queued the longest.
To the 40 losses I can only say that its true but u don't have to believe me. When ur happy thinking that Im trolling for whatever reason I cant stop u tbh. I mean I havent played in a long while but before I took a break I was an Iri 1 huntress but that was before mmr. Since I came back from day 1 I mostly went up against Death squads tbh. Ofc I can cheese at least killing one person by just having Noed or standing next to the hook until that person dies but that really isnt the point. I literary just never had a match in the last 2 weeks where I felt that it was even remotely balanced so that I stood a chance or that it was a close competition. Might be that I have just gotten incredibly bad at this game over my break but even then I was just wondering shouldnt MMR kick in and help me after a certain amount of losses which it never did. Survivor level just stayed the same the entire time. And for me personally just banging my head against that wall until I eventually get better is way too frustrating and takes a lot of time so I probably havent really gotten better over these games as well and thats why the result stayed the same.
But yeah the basic message just was that I was wondering why MMR doesnt help me out after a certain amount of losses and I got my answer tot that. There was no intention of trolling tbh but if u want to see it that way I probably cant stop u anyways is all I can say.
