Yup pallet validation is a hoax and so is me having friends you got me🙄. They pay 100 dollars a month for xstream mediacom service so no your mcd wifi to fit YOUR narrative to attack me isnt true.

Sorry you feel so entitled to attack a fellow dbd user....I guess threads about hit validation from other players are hoaxes as well right?

And please show me these other threads I posted one where it happened to me when the patch first happened and this thread happened last night barely so yeah you got me...I also say 4 wallets > 1 so that is also a hoax🤑

Pallet Validation is not a hoax; you're being overdramatic about a feature that is healthy for the game. You have made various threads complaining about Pallet Validation where I have only experienced it once on a ping of 30 through countless hours in the game.

"Elodie is down he goes to get his well deserved kill and you guessed it elodie is already running through the exit gate as he get pallet stunned."

It shouldn't matter the type of internet he has or what he is paying for it. It became obvious that he's playing in a region other than his own or on a terrible wifi connection with that statement alone. There shouldn't be an advantage for having a bad connection to the server, and that's what the system is in place to correct.

  • It sounds like just you're making things up to fit your narrative since you have multiple threads that constantly complain and make bogus claims like the inverse Sluzzy. If your friend is losing out on numerous hits through pallet dedication, it's their fault for playing on McDonald's wifi.

Creating various threads and stories about how your hits aren't going through and losing your games shows that you rely on hits that should never have hit in the first place.

"Elodie is down he goes to get his well deserved kill and you guessed it elodie is already running through the exit gate as he get pallet stunned."

Then the hit was not well-deserved at all. That's dedicated servers doing their job.

I've legit never seen a killer get more than one kill on this map without camping and I've been getting this map all week. I've even played against 2 killers I recognized that said ######### it who usually ######### on everyone.

Then they're playing it badly. Many killers have and can 4k on this map. It's not so one-sided like you want to say it is.

Ruin/Undying will make it a nightmare, the size can make hook saves terrible to coordinate in solo queue, and many pallets are very easy to hit over and play around. I've been able to get a number of survivors stuck in dead-end rooms because they don't know the layout.

  • @Dustin said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2395567#Comment_2395567

Yeah because most killers give up when they get it and afk even at red ranks. Once you lose that center gen in the lobby the game is essentially over because patrolling other gens is awful.

Imo BHVR should have split the map into 2-3 realms including slightly more areas on the third floor but having each zone be the West and East Wing.

Completely false. Most killers do very well on this map as the survivors simply don't save in time and Ruin/Undying is a nightmare due to the size.

They're not gone forever, they respawn elsewhere in the trial.

They're not gone forever; they just make you waste ridiculous amounts of time searching for them if you can't hit five rapid-fire skill checks. Probably the worst designed glyph to date from a solo standpoint.

  • The pipping system needs a total overhaul IMO. It's far too easy to camp and tunnel your way into red ranks as a killer. For what is supposedly the best, the gameplay generally revolves around the easiest method of achieving a victory.

It'd be far nicer if the devs implemented further safeguards to encourage better gameplay on both sides beyond perks. Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike feel too required. Gen slowdown feels far too required.

  • They ruined Kate and took zero feedback on the changes. I'm pretty disappointed as she was one of my favorites to play as though I have zero interest in her now. It's hard to understand why they decided to redesign her latest rift hairstyle; the updated version is ugly and looks like a complete downgrade.

Who sat there and decided that her Beach Eyes rift cosmetic was too good and wanted to make it worse?

  • I recommend running Deliverance.

I've been using it in solo play, and it's helped quite a lot. If your team is unlikely to make saves, you'll be able to make great use of it as they focus on the objective. If you're unable to proc it, it's your fault for going down first, or your team is greedy for hook saves so you wouldn't need it in the first place.

I would also suggest running Decisive Strike alongside Deliverance as I'm very used to being tunneled quite literally after using it.

Getting rank 1 survivor is stupidly easy what are you smoking? I got it in 2 weeks of playing the game

If it's so stupidly easy, where are all the survivors at rank 1 then? I seldom see any of them outside of SWF which is stupidly easy, I agree.

Pretty certain you're not even playing the game solo with that train of thought.

Bro, I literally just said that it will get you a safety pip, and then you said "this isn't true, that would net you the safety"

My main point is that it is easier to safety pip as a survivor. This is fine, because if you depipped every time you lost a game as survivor, solo Q would be impossible as you'd never rank up. As a result, ranking up is basically a given. Sure, you may have the occasional game were you get tunnelled out immediately, and depip, but this does not happen all the time (you may see tunnellers often, but you are unlikely to be the one tunnelled every time you see a tunneller).

If you have some common sense (know when to jump on a gen, can remain hidden from the killer in the early game), and some basic looping skills, pipping consistently as a survivor is very very easy. At least as easy as consistently pipping by camping, if you ask me. Because if you just purely camp you will occasionally encounter teams who will just focus gens and you will get a 1K.

    @JPA said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2384859#Comment_2384859

"if you are hooked at all that would probably depip you"

Unless the medals have been changed recently and I'm missing something, I really don't think that is the case. For anything other than red ranks, I'm pretty sure you can safety or pip, even without escaping and getting a low quality unbroken emblem

I'm responding to your comment in full, not partially. Your comment isn't true because it wouldn't give you a pip as you said.

"Doesn't even matter if you are not in a SWF, as long as you pop a gen or 2, get a heal and an unhook, win one chase, you will always safety pip and usually pip up."

That will not pip you in red ranks. That will only safety if you are never hooked.

  • @JPA said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2384764#Comment_2384764

    Two points:

    • Why did you bring up rank 1? This conversation is about hitting red ranks as Killers, so for a fair comparison we probably should discuss red rank survivors, not rank 1.
    • I still think it is very easy to hit red ranks as survivor, due to the fact it's very difficult to actually depip even if you lose a game as a survivor (up to red ranks). Doesn't even matter if you are not in a SWF, as long as you pop a gen or 2, get a heal and an unhook, win one chase, you will always safety pip and usually pip up. With Killer however, if you go against a good SWF, it's pretty easy to lose pips, so consistenly ranking up is basically determined by how lucky you are with the teams you face. Doesn't matter how well you play, if you go against a good SWF you are in danger of a depip (unless you are actually good at a Killer).

Because hitting red ranks as a survivor are more difficult, especially if trying to level up beyond the initial rank 4. While as a killer, it's not as difficult to gain pips. This is why OP and many others are seeing a higher amount of purple/green survivors compared to killers and also the reasoning as to why you rarely will see any survivor actually on rank 1 right now.

"Doesn't even matter if you are not in a SWF, as long as you pop a gen or 2, get a heal and an unhook, win one chase, you will always safety pip and usually pip up."

This isn't exactly true, as in red ranks that would net you the safety but not the pip. If you are hooked at all, that would probably depip you.

Disagree, I got red rank in (solo) survivor before I got red ranks in Killer and I play Killer much more as well.

Also if you camp at red ranks you will lose a lot of games so even then I think it's hard to pip consistently

Disagree with your post as well.

Hitting rank one in survivor is now much more difficult unless you want to sit in an SWF group for consistent teammates. Playing killer is incredibly easy to hit red ranks. Camping and tunneling can quickly boost your level as survivors will drop everything they're doing to save one another.

  • A lot of killers are red rank because it's very easy to reach compared to playing as a survivor. You can get rank one primarily from camping and tunneling.

  • I wouldn't be against the devs bringing back a legacy campaign in some form though they should attempt to alter the color to something different. The majority of the players who are using legacy cosmetics are just hacking them at this point anyway, as it's very easy to bypass the anti-cheat in this game.

  • Solo queue as a survivor is definitely the worst. SWF is the easiest. Killer falls in the middle.

  • Killer is easy in most matches and you'll get a 3-4k. The majority of this forum is killer biased so you'll constantly see people whine that it's difficult. You rarely will run into an SWF swat team at red ranks if you choose not to play at peak hours.

Meanwhile, the solo queue experience is literally one of the worst parts of this game at all hours. Your teammates will constantly attempt to sandbag the ######### out of you and leave you to die on your first hook. With the lack of a DC penalty, you'll have teammates exit the game for any reason in nearly every second match you play.

  • Killer pips are already easy enough to obtain because they're directly linked into their gameplay.

  • @TwitchyMike said:

Ya IDK why there are so few cakes I use one almost everytime. Oh I am rank 1 to 2 killer And when I see someone use a birthday cake I wanna kill them

That's not exactly fair. A lot of players would use their last remaining offerings of Survivor Cake and Survivor Pudding before they take the plunge with prestige.

A survivor group that is worth their salt, can and will manage to turn around a 3v1. Doesn´t even need to be a SWF group.

Killers don´t need to play poorly to only get 3 or 4 hooks. Happens even to the best streamers.

WGLF is on my basekit. I always use it, when i have it.

Survivors can also rely on their teammates when playing solo. Sure, some teammates are terrible. But once you get used to not taking things personally, its great.

Tell me more about how often and common three solo queue players manage to beat one of the best killer players than from a DC from start to finish.

WGLF is inconsistent unless you're throwing games in some matches by rushing the hooks when you should have been on generators for your team. It's not a bad perk, but you're not getting four stacks every single game like BBQ.

You can't rely on your teammates in every game, and that's the point. Solo is considerably worse than killer because you never know what you'll be getting. Dying on the first hook is very common for an experience in solo.

Survivor is the easier role, but playing as the killer is better than most solo games.

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2324989#Comment_2324989

Good survivors still can pull off an escape. Even when 1 disconnected. It won´t happen always, but it still is possible.

What you say isn´t true in the slightest. Most of my solo survivor matches have 4 gens completed by the time the killer got 3 or 4 hooks. I can even prove it, with the hook counter.

Survivors can equip WGLF and as i said, i earn as much, if not more points than the killer. Double bloodpoints not being worth it... suuuuure!

You make survivor sound rough. When its estabished, that survivors are the power role.

Against any killer worth their salt, they will lose in a 3v1. Survivors are only the power role when the group is good and coordinated; most are not.

If the killer only has three hooks while a group has done four generators, they're playing poorly and not equipping a better setup/build. Yes, killers can make mistakes, yet nobody wants to admit that.

WGLF isn't always worth running compared to BBQ. If it was, why is it such a rare perk to notice in normal gameplay? Because you can't guarantee four stacks as you can with BBQ unless you go out of your way to unhook multiple survivors when you probably should have finished or done a generator for your team.

Survivor isn't rough in a group because you can rely on your teammates. In solo play, I can get players of varying skills with differing objectives set to where it's comparable to a perk roulette.

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2324951#Comment_2324951

Killer won´t get full stacks or full hook points when someone DCs.

Gen rushing happens like during every single red rank match.

I usually get the same amount or more points than the killer as red rank solo survivor. Survivor is far easier and not as sweaty as killer (at least on red ranks).

You're not getting a stack, but they would have had to leave so early into the match that you're guaranteed a victory with no sort of gen rush possible with only three survivors.

That isn't true in the slightest. I play on red ranks where half the matches are slow and easy to deal with as they're potatoes.

As a killer I'm getting twice as much as you after the game with Barbeque whereas WGLF isn't worth running in most circumstances as getting four stacks won't always happen.

Honestly, you make killer sound so rough, but it's not at all. I recommend anyone to give it a try, it's not so bad and you get far more rewarded if you lack a group to play with.

  • @Tsulan said:

Well you could always play killer instead:

Gen rush, DC, DC, gen rush, gen rush, death threats, gen rush, ...

As if a DC remotely would bother the killer, it only makes the game easier beyond extremely niche conditions. Not to mention you're giving a reason that fuels their argument, not yours.

Gen rushing is a rarity as most games have a solo or two in them at the very least. A great SWF can still be beaten by camping them out since they'll camp the hooks with you in most cases.

I get twice or triple as many blood points on killer and generally have a far more enjoyable time doing it compared to solo queue.

  • Ruin is terrible as a perk as it can outright carry you through a match and into high ranks as it's nothing but a coin toss on the position of the totem and if anyone is running a totem build.

  • The event isn't that great. Beyond the 500k blood point gift, I'd not bother. The cosmetics will be stashed away and forgotten in a few days like the old fourth-year ones. The anniversary cakes are few and far between blood webs while being supposedly the main attraction.

To top it all off, it's impossible to tell what's going the hell on inside matches as half of them want to farm and the other doesn't. Some survivors and killers want to sweat it out in a non-competitive match or be as toxic as possible to those who don't. Some killers are downright terrible at the game and are still face-camping those trying to help them gain more points.

A double blood point month would have been a far better event than this.

  • The event sucks.

I'd rather just have double blood points than a mishmash of no farming and farming.

Not only is it difficult to tell what the hell is going on in the match, but half the killers and survivors want to end the match with no points, while also getting killers that are completely awful and you try to farm with them to get more out of the game for everyone and they end up face camping you.

Beyond that, they should just let you grab the crown if you hadn't gotten it already, there's zero need to force survivors to escape when the killer can grab it and afk.

  • Try not to go into the basement against Leatherface or Hag to save someone immediately; they will only capitalize on it.

  • The game has been unplayable because half the solo queue population has no clue how to play the game paired with killers that want to tunnel the baby survivor out of the game within the first thirty seconds.

I had got out of a game where the baby Claudette was on death hook, while Jill was one hooked before I could even complete the first generator halfway on game start.

The game is severely solo unfriendly, so it's no surprise there will be survivors who would rather leave a pointless game than play it out.

  • Just give all characters available tier-one perks off the bat and allow them to level them up via the blood web in the same manner we have now.

  • Spirit needs to be nerfed. The nurse needs a reworked design. Several killers could use an add-on pass, like Wraith. Beyond that, solo queue needs a buff to better coordinate with each other.

  • I'd say Wraith with certain add-ons.

You are just assuming it is greed on BHVRs side. You were not part in the negotiations neither for the licensed contents in DbD nor in Division 2. you have no clue what the terms for usage of the contents are.

And? It's shown that Capcom has nothing against their sets being mixed or matched if other games can allow for it, this is more than likely falling on Behavior's shoulders due to greed. It doesn't excuse non-licensed characters having sets that shouldn't be linked in the first place, either.

  • Meanwhile, I can mix and match these same outfits they're selling on other games such as Division 2 that were given out for free as an event. This is nothing but greed.

  • @1miko said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2299114#Comment_2299114

I believe they stated they were fine with people bugging the sets, not that it's an intended bug and something they want to happen, that's why they kept those sets linked. What they explicitly said is that they won't vanish your account into oblivion for breaking the sets.

Also people bitching about the hotfix, developing and fixing a game is really ######### hard, the game was poorly optimized and in a really bad state before 5.0.0, both in balance and performance. Devs are probably doing what they can afford to do to fix performance/crashing issues which might not be a lot compared to other big companies yet that doesn't invalidate the fact that they might pour some time over issues that might take 5 minutes of rewriting code, like automatically verifying a piece of a linked set isn't going alone itself with another set of cosmetics.

Ah, yes. The game runs horribly on consoles and is prone to crashing, but let's spend time instead rewriting existing code that actually makes us money off people who originally would have never bought these cosmetics in the first place without it.

  • @blue4zion said:

The licenses I can understand. Prob not up to them to "preserve character image" but they've got a lot more explaining to do for a lot of original character cosmetics.

I find this strange as a reason against it as you can play around with the Leon and Jill outfits separately on other titles like The Division 2. On there you can mix and match the same Resident Evil outfits they're selling here and it was free as part of an event.

Preserving a character's image is fine, but I find it hard to believe that's the reason when it's freely available to do exactly that on other games.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2299038#Comment_2299038

Why did people buy bugged content for the bugs in the first place? Does that sound logical to you?

If the bug was in place for over a year and the company explicitly stated that they're fine with it, I'm sure many would follow through with buying it. The majority of these shouldn't even be linked in the first place as they're perfectly fine on any other outfit combination and aren't even licensed.

  • @Mandy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2298734#Comment_2298734

They aren't a priority at all. It's just some issues have much quicker fixes than others - and some things have been worked on for longer than others as well...this isn't about priority.

This is pathetic when the majority bought these sets to unlink them in the first place. Sets are awful and look terrible beyond one or two pieces that are ruined by the third.

I rarely ever see anyone use linked sets, but see quite often an unlinked piece.

  • No, this isn't the game for that sort of thing. If you want to play Nemesis with his rocket launcher move over to Resistance.

  • ######### Freddy. He's currently the most brainless killer you can play to get results that aren't earned. The fact he's labeled 'Hard' for difficulty is such a joke.

  • Better yet, just make SWF a separate thing entirely for private matches. I'm so sick of these toxic losers who want to cry and complain and harass every solo and killer player in the game.

  • Because Huntress lets you get hits off no other ranged killer can. Her hatchet hitboxes are beyond hilarious when you don't have to actually connect the hit with the survivors, just aiming close enough will get the hit.

You'll see a number of comments made by the streamer themselves about how they didn't even hit the player, but got the hit regardless.

  • SWF should receive some kind of penalty because it's frankly bullshit how busted it is with voice chat in play.

  • Survivor is awful in solo when all your teammates are losers who farm you and refuse to bring Borrowed Time.

Bonus points for when all three are camping the hook and not a one takes a protection hit.

You know what boosted means right?

At least to my understanding it means your rank in a game is higher than it should be. That's what I took you as meaning.

You can have a boosted train of thought, which is what I'm currently seeing your original post as.

Second Wind is utterly awful that will rarely trigger in a match. If you truly think that every perk for survivors should be on that level you come across as a boosted (bad) player.

Every single other recovery perk outclasses Second Wind, you'd get more value out of Self-Care in a regular match.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    1 I'm a rank 1 player

2 Your assuming rank has a value in a game where 6% of people who played the game on steam can hit the top rank.

You can legit only judge someone based off their gameplay or make assumptions. Even then if I dismissed a newer purple players concerns I'd consider myself rude. So politely just take this into account next time.

I never brought rank into anything, you just frankly sound like you're bad if you're concerned that every survivor can carry four perks that are actually worthwhile. 16 vs 4 perks is a bad argument that's been done to death.

I also am rank 1, it's not any sort of achievement and there's tons of boosted players in red ranks.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Every perk should be at fixated or second wind level on the survivors side theres 16 slots and each survivor picks 4

Second Wind is worthless and this argument makes you sound boosted.

  • @Just_Alex said:

They literally removed the "here, get a free objective today" aspect of the perk. It should be an anti-tunnel perk after all. I don't see the issue here. If you rely on DS to get a gen done or to annoy the killer maybe you shouldn't run it in the first place.

It's not a very good anti-tunnel perk. It needs some serious buffs. Either the timer needs to be extended while in a chase, the skill check portion removed, or being used twice. It needs something more because it's currently a very bad perk that doesn't do enough to discourage tunneling off hook with a single five second stun.

  • I'll get the killer's attention to kill myself on first hook if the teammates I'm getting in solo queue are so utterly helpless that they're throwing the game more than my suicide would be.

If my teammates are going down within the first twenty seconds and then running the killer to the only generator being worked on to die on top of it, yes, I'd rather motion to the killer and run to a hook and die. At least at that point I can get into a match with hopefully better teammates or switch over to killer.

  • @Pulsar said:

If you use the line "you are giving yourself a competitive advantage that you would not normally have by base gameplay" then SWF shouldn't be in the game either.

I'm not arguing that SWF should be removed or anything, just that this line of thinking is flawed.

SWF sucks to play against, sure, but this argument is moot because anyone can access it through normal gameplay.
