You do realize… starting an unhook with a guard on you deactivates the guard. He cannot camp a hook any better then other m1 killers.
You commented after I already said that's a thing. He can camp hooks better than a regular M1 killer; you're ignoring the potential for guards to chase survivors off the area before they can tap the hooked player.

I think you have a problem with camping not the killer his power doesn't work on hooks tapping a hooked survivor stops a hunt not rescuing, just touching and you're immune to being hunted for 4 seconds after saving or getting saved
Yes, should you tap the hooked survivor, the guard will despawn, but that doesn't matter if he face-camps them. I already figured that would be obvious, but it doesn't matter if the guard forces you off, depending on the location, since the type of people playing him only want to face camp with the same monotonous gen-kicking setup. These matches take far too long since Knight can force a 3-4 gen thirty-minute game. It's just not enjoyable gameplay.
-
No thanks, I'd rather see fewer on this killer. Their camping potential is too extreme, with the AI face camping you with the killer. The matches take thirty minutes with the amount of gen slowdown and a forced three-gen. They continue the garbage trend of holding shift+W instead of playing tiles. Every single Knight I've played against has face-camped somebody with little counterplay as the guards chase survivors off before they can even attempt a save against the face-camper.
-
Why can't survivors see their teammates' builds in the pregame lobby? Why do killers and survivors get to see survivors' prestige level? Both lead to lobby dodging, yet one is far less beneficial than the other.
-
It's unfortunate when you get posts like this that can't stand the thought of a broken add-on finally being balanced. Blight doesn't need Alchemist's Ring.
-
The game isn't balanced for solo queue currently.
The variance in skill level is too large, paired with the constant killer buffs to account for SWF. Solo queue is a waste of time with how often your teammates throw the game, act selfishly for no real reason, or disconnect when you would have won. The game encourages killers to camp and tunnel, granting an easy victory should you remove a survivor before three generators are done. The meta is stale on the killer end, with too many synergies on a single aspect of the game inflating kill rates.

No, I think it’s obvious what killers, perks, and addons need to be buffed.
Of course, it's easy to say that when you ignore or refuse to play the other side, mainly solo queue. It's also not surprising that this forum wants to circle-jerk anything that buffs killer.
-
@Chordyceps said:
Imagine wanting to play the character you enjoy, but your queue times are 15 minutes long cause nearly everyone has decided to ban that killer.
Imagine if they balanced their cast of characters instead of leaving them overpowered for years.
Generally, I don't think they should ban anything, but it's obvious what killers, perks, and add-ons need nerfs/buffs.
-
Survivors are only skins and can interchange any perk between them. Killers have unique powers that can reflect different levels of skill.

They are related because if survivors are allowed to have experience improvements, that sets a precedent that killers should also be allowed to have experience improvements.
A long time ago we were told about survivor icons as an idea that maybe, might possibly, be maybe considered as an idea….. but we can’t ever have news that BHVR might consider killer experience improvements? We can’t even get a “maybe we might possibly consider an FoV slider”? It always has to be complete silence for killer experience improvements?
An FoV slider is a straight-up buff that isn't comparable to survivor icons. Solo-queue is already the weakest link that deserves anything it can get.
-
Make the game even easier for killers? I win almost every game; I hope they don't listen to takes like this without adjusting the solo queue experience and overpowered add-ons/killers first.
-
Because the game is brain-dead easy in most matches as killer it's pathetic. If they're solo you've already won the game if you know how to play the game with a decent loadout.
-
The game isn't balanced for solo queue; you're better off abandoning this game for another unless you prefer killer or finding a group of four for your sanity.

Or it could be that I enjoy the game as it is and don't feel entitled to surviving the players who's sole job it is to kill me.
How do you do, fellow killer main?
-
If it weren't for the 100% bonus BP, I'd have uninstalled the game as I'm not going to sit in a ten-minute queue to play the winning side. SWF is the only method of reliably gaining victories as a survivor. The killer has to make multiple mistakes to lose against a solo squad.
-
The nurse needs a rework, simple as that. She's overpowered as a PvE experience in a PvP game. She plays against herself, not the survivor.
-
Hard disagree. The game is one of the most effortless online multiplayer experiences as a killer. The only difficulty that comes into play is against SWF; otherwise, the game is so tilted in your favor it's hilarious. You can get twelve hooks quite often against solo groups.
-
It sounds like you're just bad.
-
They receive the chance at a better match because they'll instantly find another. There's no point in staying in a pointless game with bad teammates or an obnoxious killer build that shouldn't exist.
-
Nurse needs a rework, and Blight could use some add-on nerfs, but I doubt they'll do anything.
-
It's playable, but the devs are honestly questionable in the hotfix. They brought back a nasty combo that ######### over solo queue because of a niche interaction of two perks that rarely happens. Meanwhile, Self-Care is still at 35%, and Decisive Strike is 3s.
The devs don't play the game or know how to balance it. They'd instead buff camping or band-aid fix it with perks.
-
Doubtful, considering other players can get your IP address in this game. A VPN protects you against targeted DDoS attacks. (Yes, they do happen from foreign cheaters.)

This last mid chapter patch was a big one, there were a lot of changes made including base changes. We are very well aware that it is going to take time for this to settle down and it's something that we are continually monitoring and if we see the need to make changes to things further down the line - that's something we will do.
However, we're not making knee jerk reactions here - if we do see things that we know are going to be an issue of high importance we will of course make changes in the planned Hotfixes, there might also be further changes made down the line depending on how things play out once players have had time to adjust to a lot of the recent changes.
Dead by Daylight is a Live game, it's continually evolving and changes made based on this. The plan of this update was to increase kill rates as those were lower than we would like. It will take some time to fully see the extent of the changes made, players adapt etc. This update and the after effects of this update is definitely something we are monitoring closely.
Disagree. The developers make a bunch of knee-jerk reactions. Look no further than the slew of mediocre, non-meta perks that received nerfs for no apparent reason.

The entire game is structured around having to make assumptions and adapting to the outcome. You can't even see the killer in a lobby, and neither side can see the other's perks/addons. Every match you bring a medkit you are assuming you will not be going against a plague, every time you bring a rare item you are assuming they won't be using franklins, every time you bring a flashlight you are assuming they wont have lightborn, etc. You just don't like the consequences of your decision, not the decision itself.
Those aren't on the same level as a game-ending addon that you can't prepare for until it happens within the game. While you may not get value out of a medkit, you still play the game as normal against a Plague. If your opponent is running Franklin's Demise you can pick the item up or continue with the game. Micheal can immediately kill you without a single hook, bypassing essential game elements and making it a guessing game whether it'll happen or not.
As an SWF, it'll be easy to tell by how long it takes and how much he's seen your teammates with callouts. In solo queue, it's nothing more than a guessing game as he can pop that at the start. Addons that alter the game that heavily shouldn't exist in the first place.
-
It shouldn't exist and is a relic of the past gameplay experience. The fact it's impossible to tell if Micheal has the addon or not is poor game design, but this game is full of that. You can guess he'll take a while to get it if he's running Tombstone, but you can't tell in solo-queue at all. Jumping in a locker is the best bet against the instant mori, but you shouldn't be required to play like that under an assumption.
-
Killer is baby easy mode against solo queue. No question at all.
-
Unfortunately, you were DDOS'd. I was also in the past after calling out a hacker in a match with EdgarAlanBro. They killed me on my first hook instantly, too. It's Behavior's fault for allowing hackers to grief others as much as they can in the game with no priority to tone down the hacks with system checks. You legitimately become a god who can write or do anything in the game.
-
Decisive Strike and Self Care are the two I agree should be reverted/buffed.
Decisive Strike being brought back to 5 seconds while disabling during Endgame would be great. Removing the skill check would also be a healthy change for the perk since it's more than fair at that point. Tunneling directly off the hook while generators are still in the game should be punished at every skill level.
The Self Care nerf should be reverted to 50% efficiency. There's no reason they needed to kill this perk as much as they had.
-
Nurse, Leatherface, Legion.
-
The matchups make this poll feel rigged from the start. There's no way that Set B stands a chance with the Dredge skin being in Set A. Pitting Yun Jin and Adam against Mikaela and David, some of the most popular survivors in the game, is just salt in the wound.
-
Since the update has released, I've yet to lose a single match as the killer. For the past two days, I've only had a single match end in a 2k at worse. This patch feels too tilted toward killers. I expect some nerfs in the coming months or buffs to survivors.
Once they took off the matchmaking blood point incentives for survivors, my queues jumped fairly drastically to 5-10 minute wait times.
-
I think this post misses the point of those complaints.
Prestige shouldn't cost any blood points in the first place. The solo queue experience shouldn't be as miserable as it is. Unavoidable killers with specific builds make the game the most unenjoyable experience where all you'll want to say is, "Next." Nobody wants to sit in 20+ minute games because it's Legion stacking all the slowdown imaginable.
-
Unless you're a fan of the AoT franchise, these outfits are all an easy pass. Locked sets are awful and feel like a waste of money.
-
The only boon that matters is CoH. Shadow Step is decent but only worth using if paired with CoH. Dark Theory and Exponential are trash.
CoH is great in solo queue as it allows your teammates to heal themselves, not AFK in a corner.
-
Solo is only going to get worse with these changes. I'm not sure how you expect a five-second BT to do anything when I can just body block you. Off The Record is going to get nerfed anyway after PTB. Camping is further encouraged with their changes and lack of understanding.
-
Pharmacy is a straight nerf in solo queue. You need to be injured to gain the effect of the perk. So, Meg would have opened the chests before you even got value out of it.
Only an SWF group will gain value from this perk by coordinating chest unlocks to a single player.
-
All they did was encourage camping with these changes. It's honestly pathetic that zero thought went into discouraging camping at all, yet they'll buff a toxic perk that only punishes solo queue: Knock Out.
-
Dredge is what every killer shouldn't be like. They're the worst-designed killer by a mile. I shouldn't have to adjust my monitor settings for a single killer in the game to see anything beyond my character model.

I play solo survivor/SWF as much as I do killer, and also advocate for both, but please, tell me more.
Tell me more lies. Solo isn't even remotely on the same level as SWF, which is fairly busted as well.

If you want people to believe farfetched theories, you should probably attach some proof with it.
It's not far-fetched in the slightest, you're just another blatantly one-sided player who only cares about killers. It's quite common on the forums, pretty unfortunate.
-
I prefer her disabled; Nurse is busted and always has been. She becomes the true easy mode of this game once you memorize the blink distance after a few days.
-
No thanks, those changes would be terrible for game health. Imagine solo queue with yellow rune skill checks or waiting to finish a generator.
-
Why do the Twitch cosmetics need to remain exclusive anyway?
It seems like a fairly unnecessary lock for cosmetics when anyone can stream to the platform. Fog whisperers are given the latest cosmetics for free regardless and are encouraged to use that instead of the Twitch shirts.

It's toxic and wins games with minimal effort required on the killer's end
So...what? Is the Killer not allowed to win unless they now expect some vague amount of effort, now? 😂 'You won too easily! TOXIC!'
Also; that ignored how Survivors can punish or reward the tactics and just plants all blame directly on Killers while shaming them. Good job on being wrong, AND part of the problem! 👍️
No wonder you're jailed.
-
It's toxic and wins games with minimal effort required on the killer's end. Strategy or not, it's cheap and effortless. Throw on NOED to tie the game at the very least.
It'd benefit the game if punished while adjusting the speeds of the survivor objective. Yes, making the killer play the game instead of sitting and staring at a hooked survivor. The horror.
SWF will punish camping easily if they play to win as a team. Solo? They'll need Kindred and teammates who focus generators, which is a rarity. NOED will still tie the game if they're rushing in the current game.
-
CoH needs a nerf when they finally balance out a lot of the broken add-ons killers still maintain. Blight could use a nerf more than CoH, honestly. Alchemist's Ring is a braindead slot-in. CoH has won me multiple games as they'll spend time booning totems over and over rather than finish generators.
CoH is an issue only compounded by SWF. Solo can have it or not; you'll 4k regardless.
-
It's not balanced, but fool yourself into believing that an addon should be that strong for very rare.
-
Hopefully, whenever they look at the broken, built-in powers that are blatantly too powerful or poorly designed on killers.
-
The nurse is broken and will always remain as such. So long as she becomes able to teleport through walls, floors, pallets, and survivors themselves. The design doesn't work in a competitive format as she creates a game entirely her own.
As others have stated, she would require a complete redesign, and there would be a heavy amount of backlash from this as she's arguably in a tier of her own making.
-
They didn't address cheating yet, either. I still run into some of the same people blatantly cheating and making the game pointless to play. It's especially disappointing as they'll have tons of VAC bans on their profile and still on the game.
