I'd show you how but I'd get banned for showing off an exploit but it's possible; you can no longer m1 straight out of m2 but you can get a 0.2s POTD off by messing with the animations a bit.
I'm mean it is probably for the better. I don't want to use "exploits" in the first place, I was just wondering because people talked about it all of the sudden.

I don't think they did, as recently I saw a Pyramid Head attack instantly out of m2.
If they did though, then that's good, as he shouldn't just be immune to pallets and windows without requiring the mechanical skill of Nurse.
they removed the m2 into m1 but also reduced his cool down after punishment

He can m2 instantly, but it's a recently discovered bug. The bigger problem is being able to do a basic attack instantly out of an m2.
Im pretty sure they removed it.
-
I wouldn't buff him to be honest. I pretty much one trick Pyramid Head and his power is really really strong. He is probably one, if not the best killer to get someone out of the game early. I love him how he is and I don't know why but people say he can M2 instantly but I've never seen it.

I know why I am being tunneled I am just saying it's not a stragey.
It is down right cheating.
It is not cheating it is in fact a really good strategy. When I manage to kill someone after 2 gens I have a big chance to win the game because of that. People who complain about tunneling are the ones who can't loop. Period. Tunneling is even good for survivors. When someone gets tunneled that means the killer has no gen pressure, 2 people work on gens and the unhooker can also find a gen. Tunneling needs to stay and people just need to be better at looping. People always look at the down sides and not why killers are doing this in the first place.

I found a comment under a YouTube video once that described my view about NOED spot on. The only arguments I've seen why NOED is unhealthy were "Against good killers there is no time to do bones" and "I outplayed the killer the whole game and then I get punished because I had a perfect game" but that is not true. People ignore totems way to much in my opinion and most of them don't even see it as a side objective. A "perfect" game in my opinion would be: All totems cleansed, all gens were done, both exist gates are open and all 4 escape. Killers mains always say "Play the game like every survivor has DS+UB", which is true btw and that why survivors should play like every killer runs NOED.
The comment I found under the YouTube Video was:
1. If the survivors have the upperhand they can easily spare time to break bones. If they dont, they get punished for rushing and a NOED up their ass. AKA it wouldnt have mattered to have NOED.
2. If the game is about 50/50, then NOED doesnt really have that big of an impact. Because enough people would either already be dead or injured by the time NOED can activate. Or survivors have Adrenaline, and NOED counters it. Meaning that it would only matter because you were running Adrenaline in the first place. If you didnt run Adrenaline, NOED wouldnt have mattered in terms of instadowns.
3. If the killer has the upperhand, survivors wont be able to finish gens at all, and in the chance that survivors do finish the gens, they would still be very likely to be injured anyway, meaning the instadown doesnt matter at all, or they have adrenaline, in which case, NOED counters it.
-
BBQ is probably one of the most healthy perks in the game. I would even run it without the bonus BP's because I'm used to play it. There are two perks I will probably never change in my builds and these are BBQ and Whispers. I know I don't need them but it feels weird without them.

They should just let killers change to another killer to also adapt with the situation.
They removed it because of the MMR. Every killer will have its own MMR and if killers would still be allowed to swap there would be no reason to have a SBMM in the first place.

Okay so what about all those killers out there that are red ranks or better yet rank one and can get three to four kills almost every game? Sure this game is unbalanced but people don't want the game legitimately balanced, people want the game balanced to be easier for them so they can get easy wins and easy rank ups. You wanna get rewarded more? Get better and even then you still aren't going to win every game.
To be honest we should just get rid of all pip/rank system. I think people are way to focused about the little number in the top right corner. The game would be way cooler without rank in my opinion.
-
I hoped Home Sweet Home: Survive would have been a competition but this game literally failed at day 1. Broken hitboxes, no real server support (the only servers are Thai servers, so people from EU/NA play on a 200/250+ ping), heavily unbalanced gameplay etc.
DBD hat competition in the past but they all failed and DBD (even with all its flaws) was just the better game.

Sounds like you want to face baby survivors when you say you dodge if the survivors have over 1k hours.
I often play against people with over 1k hours, I play against people with thousand of hours all the time. The issue is I tend to dodge a lot of lobbies before I play one. When I dodge 5 lobbies and the next one has a player with thousand hours then I'm gonna play it. When I see someone with under 100 hours I dodge too. I just get nervous but I still 2k-3k most of my games.

Ye. I usally don't dodge console players except it's a full lobby because I noticed that often times the connection isn't that good.

How can you know how many hours another player has? Or if they'd been banned before? Is this a PC thing?
On steam you can see how many hours someone has and if they got banned at some point. They can set their profile on private so you can't see anything but it always shows that they got a VAC Ban (Valve Anti Cheat).

Due to this, I dodge every lobby that has an Xbox player in it (as I'm an xbox player) just so I don't receive these messages about me deserving to die because I did a meme end game Bubba build.
Yeah I feel you. I'd say I have a tough skin when it comes to toxicity (I played League for 7 years) but toxicity in general is not nice. I just feel like it will be a 100% loss when I play against someone with 1000/2000 hours and I'm not even a bad killer.

I hate Hag. I hate everything about her.
-
The thing is tunneling/camping and gen rushing is not fun for both sides and I don't blame people for doing it. I hate it to camp, that why I try to avoid it but a lot of times the game gives me no other choice. I had so many games where people did the gens so fast I had to camp one survivor at the end and then I get ######### on for doing it. Can we all please stop bashing the other side and just admit that the game is flawed?
For example when I get outclassed by survivors I admit it and even say "ggwp you all played really good". I never complain about stuff for no reason and I think both sides have mechanics that are unfair/hard to deal with. I just want to feel that I got beaten and when I beat them by slugging/tunneling I don't feel good about it either.

The Double Pallets are actually good for the Killer. This means that you have the minimum number of Pallets, so most likely there are way more T/L-Walls than usual and less Jungle Gyms.
This happens quite often on Storehouse.
(Dont know why the Forum does not quote the part about the Double Pallets)
Because against half decent survivor that map is unwinnable. I even made a post about Groaning Storehouse a few days ago. I even said that I am okay with the overall map design (Gen spread isn't as bad in my opinion but it's also not really good). The real issue is the Storehouse itself because it is probably the best looping spot for survivors. This loop even breaks game mechanics because 1. it breaks chases so it takes a lot of time before the window gets blocked, 2. you can't bloodlust there and 3. the fat shame tree makes this loop even longer. I had a game where everyone was just running to the storehouse everytime I hit them and the only thing I could do there was cutting the chase. This loop needs to go ASAP.
-
That's why I play Forever freddy :> (even tho it's quite boring but I don't want to get gen rushed)

If that were true it wouldnt be a problem. However its never the case. Im telling you they’ve spread the hooks further out at some point over the past few months, likely to go along with the map reworks. Theres only ever 1 hook within range and this is without oak offerings.
Sure sabo is annoying but it is really not that strong. If you think about it, it's even an advantage for the killer. 1 person got downed and is carried, 1 person need to sabo the hook and if you down the sabo dude someone has to come and pick up the slug person. That means only 1 person is working on a gen, so you're still pressuring the game.
-
360s shouldn't be an issue for a good killer in my opinion. The only time I remember where I got 360'd a lot of times was when I played at 2am and was tired as hell.
Survivors don't have much to do because if someone gets chased everyone else needs to hold m1, so of course they start to play with their movement. Not everyone wants to play 100% efficient because that's boring, that's why I don't watch pro play (and because DBD is not a comp game. Not even close to be one)

The thing is Iri Head is not even the real problem in my opinion. The real issue is the combo with infantry belt, which makes it really really strong. I would say don't let them stack (so if you have Iri Head you only have 1 hatchet regardless of the infantry belt) and it would make it way more balanced (in my opinion).
-
I got rank 1 with no perk, no addon Wraith, does that mean I am the jesus of DBD? no, it just means I played a lot of DBD and it took me 150+ games to get there. The rank system has nothing to do with skill and one of my friends got to red ranks in his first 90-100 hours into the game. Nice attempt to split this community even further.

And therein lies the problem.
I get survivors that want to abuse storehouse window for example. So as killer I feel like I should punish them by camping. Why chase survivors when they all run to a god window? There’s no point. If they use a strong position, so should I? Hence camp. Better to camp than chase survivors around such strong areas.
Of course this way neither side is happy. Another successful map design?
I understand where you're coming from but I don't blame them for abusing these loops. I don't blame people for using DS+Unbreakable because it is a really strong combo and survivors use things that the game provides. It is the same with NOED or Ruin+Undying / Devour Hope+Undying. You can use things the game provides and you shouldn't be flamed/bashed for it. If camping is your solution for that, I don't blame you because you are allowed to play the game like you want. I'll try to have better gen pressure and maybe I get a 2k on this map in the future.

Grim pantry is also a low tier killer nightmare. I was running windows of opportunity and the chain of loops from downstairs to upstairs is quite ridiculous.
I wish the really safe tiles were highlighted somehow and didn't require a perk to see overpowered chain loops before you've wasted time entering the zone.
I'd even say basekit windows and basekit zansin tactics would be healthy for the game.
I agree. I would say Storehouse, Grim Pantry and the House of Death on Haddonfield are the strongest loops in the game. Every semi good survivor knows how to abuse these loops and in my opinion cutting the chase there is the best thing a killer can do. I wouldn't mind Zanshin and WoO to be basekit but I don't think it is necessary.

Here you can see how broken the window is. Remember at this company more than one person probably thought this was good design. I'm absolutely speechless at how that's possible.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-uBypRw6jQ
This video covers a bit of what the window was like after they did the map reworks but before the graphics update. Notice how it's nowhere near as strong, and the smaller window is also blocked off.
They don't give any excuses for why they think this is good design. All we can assume is that they either don't play the game enough to realize how broken this is, or they balance for rank 20s who won't take advantage of this design flaw.
This doesn't even cover the other window which is an infinite in itself.
Yeah I remember. This loops was still strong back then, dunno why they thought they need to put such a strong loop in the game. Most of the time I play Pyramid Head (I dunno, I love his design and his kit is really fun and rewarding in my opinion) and even the "get closer" takes too much time. I see no reason trying to loop the storehouse as killer but good survivor will nearly always try to get to the loop. I mean I can't blame them, I would do the same.
-
That's really selfish dude. It is SoloQ, you should know better. Run Kindred next time and stop killing yourself on hook just because you're upset.
-
Let's remove DS then. I hear nothing but complaining every day on this forum. If y'all refuse to see that IF you are being tunneled DS will still do it's job then there is no reason to have this perk in the game.
-
Killer if it's high quality killer gameplay. Killer who play absolutely flawlessly against really good SWF groups, because that is the thing I most struggle with.
Survivor gameplay is meh. Most of the time they just bully baby killers to look good but would still lose hard against slightly competent players. When someone gets 360'ed 2-3 times in a row that just shows that these players aren't really good.
So yeah I rather see quality killer content. There is better killer content on YouTube/Twitch than survivor content IMO.

You're probably the first toxic forum member I've ever seen, and you're insulting my Tier List saying it's bad because I don't want to admit that Clown's bad. When did I ever block out opinions or criticism? I read every comment, and don't mind if someone disagrees with me. They're entitled to their opinions, but you don't seeing me trashing them saying how stupid they are because I disagree with them. Which you're basically doing to me right now, seems to me you're taking this very personally. Gawrsh who the hell do you think I am, Tru3ta1ent!?
Okay it wasn't my intention to sound toxic, if I seemed personally attacked or toxic I apologize for that.
My issue with your post is that you basically said that the majority of the player base doesn't know how to use the bottles properly, because I am pretty sure that most people think that the clown buff wasn't really helping him at all and I am one of them. I played Clown when he was on the PTB and I played him about 2 weeks exclusively after his release from the PTB and in my experience in most situations his antidote didn't helped me at all and I think I know how to use his bottles correctly. The video of Otz shows that the antidote can help but when you watch Otz attempt to get 50 wins in a row you'll see that he doesn't use them often and struggles to win. I know this because I played against Otz during one of his Clown games. Don't get me wrong, Clown is one of the most fun killers in the game IMO but his buff doesn't help with his issues.
and maybe the word "trash" was a bit harsh and I could have said stuff like "not good in my opinion". As I said it wasn't my intention to attack you. I also apologize for my english because it is not my mother tongue.

The video was literally being used as examples for things you could do with the antidote, and yes I will stand by the fact that people who say Clown is still bad don't even know how to use the antidote and don't even know how to play him period. He's much better now since his chase got buffed, although would love to see some more basekit buffs. Yes he still lacks mobility, but half the damn killer roster lacks mobility. So far on my Tier List he's sitting a Low B which isn't to bad, and I don't know how you can say Clown's the worst killer when Trickster is about to be the absolute worst once he releases.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/R3UJ1YDKPQ3Q/my-image.png
Ok first of all, your tierlist is absolute trash. It's funny to see that you try to search a discussion but everytime someone disagrees with you, you simple say "You don't know how to use his antidote properly" What is even your point making a thread when you block all the opinions and valid arguments people have? The issue is you're hella biased. The buff did nothing for him and he is still the good old weak generic M1 killer. You can try to bend the fact all you want but he is weak. Wraith is better, Blight is better, Plague is better, Demo is better and I would even say Pig is better than Clown and yes I play him pretty often. He's literally one of my most played killers besides Pyramid Head and Wraith.
-
@ClownIsUnderrated said:

Seems like everyone does like to jump on the bandwagon that Clown is bad, all just cause a certain streamer says it that it automatically means that they're right. Quite pathetic how some people use streamers opinions as facts, instead of coming up with their own.
You literally did the same thing. "look Otz made a video saying new clown isn't bad, so you guys just don't use him right"
Let's be real please. Clown is objectively a bad killer. He was before the "buff/rework" and he still is. The Afterpiece Antidote does literally nothing for him. He has still the same weaknesses as before. If you use Otz as your backup then watch his current stream where he tries to get a 50 win in a row with clown, he is struggling and he is not enjoying his time. Clown is the worst killer in the game for a reason and this "buff" was pointless.
-
camping takes no skill that is true but m1 holding doesn't take much skill either. When a survivor holds m1 they can argue that they are efficient but when I say I downed someone, hook him and see nobody through BBQ (either they are near or hide in a locker) and decide to not leave the area I get called a baby killer and that I'm bad at the game. Yeah I'm bad because I play the most efficient way.

Or the killer could just choose not to tunnel, give the survivor with DS active a chance to actually play the game and by the time they get found again, will no longer have it. Umless of course they were acting as a detriment to the team by not doing anything productive.
Sometimes you have to tunnel/slug that is just the reality. You won't 12 hook a good SWF group, that is just a fact. 60 seconds is reasonable and I think they should stick to that. There is no need to make DS stronger because it is pretty much the same as before but without this stupid 1 minute I can do what I want mechanic. If a killer wants to tunnel you, he will tunnel you but you also have all the tools to prevent this as long as possible. Survivors are in a good spot and so are killers in my opinion.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Playing Killer is not that frustrating if you are at least somewhat good at it.
To your points:
- "The innability to turn your head around because you're stuck in an animation (vaulting, grabbing, ...) is so toxic and anti-fun"
So, now animations are toxic too? sigh
- "Vaulting speed is ridiculously slow"
Vaulting Speed is fine. If you want faster Vaulting Speed, you can run Bamboozle. Vaulting Speed used to be a lot slower. You know, during a time where Killer was actually difficult to play.
- "If you chase someone for more than 10 seconds, you basically lose the game guaranteed."
Incorrect. I have the feeling that players always over- and underestimate the time they spend in Chases. Survivors tend to think that their chases are longer than they actually are, while Killers think the opposite. But from my experience, even a longer chase will not lose you the game
- "There are waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too many pallets everywhere in virtually all choke points."
Most Maps dont have that many Pallets. The only Maps which have a huge amount of Pallets are those, were the Pallets are unsafe. And those can be played by the Killer. If you are breaking every Pallet you come across, you will lose, because some Pallets dont need to be broken in the chase.
(Note: An exception is The Game, but I guess this is to compensate for Deadends. But it would be nice to have a reduction of Pallets here, and a removal of Breakable Walls to remove the Deadends)
- "The SMALLEST mistake (walking into an obstacle) and the whole chase is done."
No, clearly not. And, to be honest, getting stuck is a pretty dumb mistake and it is ok to be punished for it.
- "It's basically pointless to play smart and find good hiding spots - you can most likely out-run the killer anyway."
Stealth got nerfed over time. You have better Tracking abilities, e.g. Plague can make Survivors audible unless they cleanse, Oni has Bloodorbs which give away Survivors locations. Killer Instinct got added which removes the ability to hide in Lockers. Those are just some examples, but Stealth got less and less attractive. And this is fine by me, I dont like Survivors who hide, Chases are more fun than hide-and-seek.
- "Decisive strike talent is ridiculous. You hook your opponent, someone saves him, and you kill him again (assuming he doesn't run the other ridiculously annoying immunity talent) ,,, but you basically just have to sit there and wait (which guarantees a loss) OR you leave and the survivoir basically gets out for free."
DS will get nerfed, most likely in a few days already (with the release of Chapter 19).
- "Even IF you manage to kill 3 of them, the hatch opens up for the last survivor ............ like really ???"
If you killed 3 Survivors before all Gens were done, you won the game in my opinion. A 4K is not the only way to call a game a "win". If I finish the game as Killer with 3 Survivors dead and 4 Gens to go, I dont care if the last guy gets the Hatch, they got lucky that they found it, but they did not win, I won.
Those aspects might not apply to Top 1% Survivor-SWFs, but those are very rare. I am pretty sure that most players did not have to go against one of those teams at all. If I remember, I had exactly one instance where I went against tournament Survivors. Most Survivors are pretty bad.
And, last but not least:
"Honestly, the core of this game is so much and has so much potential, but how they manage to screw up balancing THAT much is beyond me."
Both sides should have the chance to win. I dont know what you understand as "core of this game", DBD is pretty balanced at the moment. IMO it is a little bit too easy to play Killer currently, it is still harder than Survivor, but sometimes I can win without even trying.
In the end, this is a Multiplayer Game, not a Slaughter-Simulator, so Survivors should also be able to win.
Over all I agree with you except with the Pallet part. Gideon, Ormond etc. have insanely safe pallets. Gideon for example can have more than 30 pallets and a lot of them are god pallets. If you face good survivors Ormond and Gideon are unwinnable. The only time I won on gideon was because I played Phead (my main) and I think he is pretty good at punishing players for bad looping. There are also some Autohaven Wreckers maps that are way to safe. Groaning Storehouse has bad pallets in my opinion but has an insane loop which is absolutely busted. So I understand when people are complaining about pallets/ bad map design.
-
All around I'm quite happy with survivor perks but I would remove/rework everything that allows you to do gens faster. You don't need Prove Thyself, Resilience, toolboxes etc.
-
As someone with epilepsy I can only agree with you. Lerys, Haddonfield, lunar events etc. gives me headaches really often.

Easy. Remove keys from the bloodweb and make it so you only find them in chests. If they find a key through plunderer or something, good for them but if you bring a key into my lobby prepare to get tunneled and hit with Franklins.

True as that may be, a survivor shouldn't have to purposefully mess up in chase just to be able to use a perk that's already going to be situational after its changes. If DS is going to be an anti-tunnelling perk, the devs need to recognise that a killer can tunnel someone for longer than a minute.
No, not really. Do you know what can happen in 1 minute? when you loop a killer for a minute your team can focus on gens and if they are efficient they can do 2 gens by the time you get down. DS is one of the strongest perks in the game and more than 60 seconds would be insane. DS is fine now and they should never touch it again in my opinion.
-
@indieeden7 said:
As much as I agree with everyone else that DS did need nerfed, with the upcoming changes, it probably won't even serve well as an anti-tunnel perk after its changes. If a killer decides to tunnel but fails to down the survivor within 60 seconds, DS deactivates despite the fact that they were in fact getting tunnelled.
New DS will be healthier for the game. 60 seconds is still a long as time and the old DS (or current) is used way to offensively and this was never intended.

Billy above Bubba? No. Bubba is much more quicker in forcing droping pallets than Billy and more than half of the maps Billy can't travel that much
Billies map pressure is 10x better than Bubbas. A good Billy can still compete against high skilled SWF groups and on LT walls Bubbas chainsaw is not really powerful. Billy has the same strenghs as Bubba but is just way harder to play. Everything you do with Bubba you can do with Billy. Sure he got nerfed quite hard but if you're able to play him, he is still a top tier killer.
