Ability isn't very interesting, but I'll buy him for that new Gen Stealth Perk and use it to scare the piss out of survs with him. The Hallucinations are cool, even if it's just a fancy Doctor illusion you can teleport to. 10/10 from the design team, justifies his addition off that alone.
Funny how people have such differing views. I think his power is kinda interesting, firing projectiles like a grenade launcher looks fun, but design wise, id give him a 1/10.
-
Looking forward to playing the new map. Won't be buying the chapter, barely buy any of them now as the killers haven't piqued my interest. Alien and Knight the last 2 I purchased, Alien to try its tail attack and Knight for his overall concept.
-
Expect nothing less from dbd players, especially survivors.
-
Started playing in year 2, game I brought from Argos had Huntress included.
Favourite year would be year 4, although I was super immersed in the new chapter releases and hype at the back end of year 5 into 6. Started watching all the chapter reveals with the big name streamers.
So 4-6 for me.
-
Yeah same for me. As survivor, I'm always carrying it seems (never used to) yet when I play as killer, they give me a much tougher run and I have to actually try. Even lights out made me work for wins.
-
New map yes, new killer no.
-
Mid tier killer that requires a lot of micro management, but in a fun way. I really enjoy everything about him barring his sometimes clunky feel. Hold W counters him badly and is the key to beating him. Survivor holds W to a dead area away from all the action and forces you to leave ane negate everyone and everything else, OR avoid following but staying behind without a power with 2 of the 3 guards barely able to hit survivors.
He's not that boring to face either imo, having to avoid being pincered is quite fun and the guards can provide an element of jump scare if the Knight conceals the patrol path.
-
New chapters including cosmetics. You just never know when your next main is coming to the game. I also really enjoy viewing the killers in the store with the eerie theme track
-
Play something else, look forward to new chapters i.e new killer powers and characters to try. I've taken multiple weeks out of the game, usually when Cod releases.
-
👹 Oni, his best map is probably Coldwind given the open spaces to run into without all the floor clutter. Corn can be tricky to get hits in but atleast you can move about the map easily.
⚔️ Knight isn't really map dependent as his power denies loops which forces the survivor to bolt it or get pincered. Best are possibly indoor maps in which he can cut through rooms to head survivors off.

@Alice_pbg said:
common courtesy is to leave and just end the game asap.
That's not common, that's rare 😅
-
1. Hate the Coldwind reworks (Too light)
2. Love the swamp maps
3. Enjoy playing against the Knight (love his TR music)
-
Yeah just turned the PS5 on to play and it's saying 'couldn't connect to RTM server'
-
I base my killer choice on aesthetics as much as anything, hence why I play Oni and Knight. Both have superb aesthetics and sound designs. Pinhead is cool with his chain pick ups as is deathslingers pistol butt break action.
-
As much as Id like post game chat to praise a good killer and tell survivors that are teabagging in the gates to grow up and leave, but most people would abuse it by being bitter, nasty and abusive. 8 out of 10 msgs I receive on PS5 are survivors having a pop at me despite never camping or trying to not tunnel, even when they escape 🤦♂️
-
Killers (imo) should be eligible to be purchased on trial (30 mins) so that players can try them out to see if they're compatible or not. I wasted BP on Blight and Artist without knowing how they felt to play, especially Blight on console.
-
I never get camping or slugging. Tunneling is pretty rare in my games unless we are rushing gens and the killer is losing.
-
Always wanted flags in the pre game lobby or post game to see who I'm playing with. Would like to know the nationality of my opponents, not that it matters to most.
-
Because survivors will complete the gens in 2 minutes unless the killer restores order.
-
Solos will win if they play properly, are gen efficient and work as a team. 1 weak link and the match becomes a struggle.

The reason Doctor has the Pharaoh Eddie is because it's a reference to the Powerslave album art which is an Egyptian Pyramid with lightning shooting out of the top.
Cheers 👍
-
Really cool cosmetics. The pharaoh one is a bit random and not sure it suits the doctor. Would be cool to have an Ancient Egyptian themed killer at some point.
-
Bench press Dredge
-
I can't take it seriously with an ass for a stomach. Dredge and Singularity look good. Can see the DNA in all 3 of them. Pretty confident the same designer for all 3.
-
Oni would just walk up to it and snap it in half.

I like the Medusa one. I think being mori-able is too much. Instead shorten the amount of time the survivor can look at the killer and let them turn to stone, buying the killer more time and pressure. The killer could M1 them and they’d get injured but free or teammates can get holy water or something and pour it on them to free them.
Yeah that's probably a better idea tbf. A mori of being turned to stone and then smashed to pieces could be something people would like.
-
Killer design: 1 (Was a 0) but his walking animation is quite creepy. Not sure who put Bubba, Billy and Dwight in the washing machine but please don't try that again.
Killer power: 6 - Threw random powers from other killers all together into one it seems. Doesn't crawl which is a big suprise. Was expecting a runner mode esc power. Trick shots with the Ribena shooter is the only thing I like about it.
Map 9.9 - Love the woods aesthetic, the cinema genuinely left me gasped when I saw it. Lovely job done here.
-
Control - A killer that can Invert survivor controls periodically.
Aerial reconnaissance - Air version of twins. Something that can fly across/circle the realm and tag survivors and then hunt them on foot. Something like a simpler eagle vision from assassins creed. Would need to restrict it from being eligible for indoor maps.
Aerial bombardment - Something like a napalm strike/mortar strike from a cod game. Killer gets to pick 3 locations to drop some kind of power from above to damage whatever it hits.
Medusa style - Effectively Ghostface and Myers but in reverse. Survivors must play the game without looking at the killer too much/often. Too much and the survivor gets moried.
Web - A killer (most likely Spider) that can fire webs on gens to hamper progress or increase skill checks and spin webs on vaults and pallets to hamper movement speed if survivors pass through them. Webs could be removed from gens or themselves akin to pinheads chains.
Interaction based snowball - A killer that starts out weak but gains a lot of power every time it gets; Blinded, stunned or when each gen gets completed. Kinda like something that gets triggered by survivors besting it. Probably something that would suit Jason, as he takes his time killing his victims, starting slowly only to then go full red mist.
Can't think of anymore right now.
-
Not a fan at all. Just can't fall for the goofy Billy body and Bubba head look. Can see the designer of Unknown made Dredge and Singularity, all 3 kinda have things hanging off them and shout out to me that the same team designed them.
Map is terrific, power is meh

"like a dash attack"
if its yet another run forward injure/teleport/animation lock attack killer then this will be one of the most disappointing chapters ever
Absolutely this. Whilst skin crawler and such do look creepy and have a decent aesthetic, I can't really see what else it will do except for running around like Victor and lunging like Demo. Hopefully that thing we saw in the video was a survivor being possessed and we haven't seen what did it.
Think it'll be a meh crawler thing with a lunge power with some kind of survivor mimicking gaff.
-
Has to be a headset. Feel naked when they run out of charge and I have to play with just the TV audio. Same goes for F1, I can't hear (feel) the gears, braking and acceleration properly and it throws me off.
-
Like facing all the killers except for Legion, Wesker, Nurse and Skull Merchant. Especially happy when its an Oni, Billy or Dredge.
-
I was wondering the same. Plenty of comments about it being able to mimic sounds (survivors) so perhaps it will be a power that corrupts the survivor and turns them into a potato player briefly.
They do like a curveball after all
Blight - People thought it was a werewolf
Twins - People said its a creature on all fours, so likely a wendingo.
Skull Merchant - No explanation needed 😅

What about Knight?
School care taker 😅
Someone said history which makes sense I suppose.
-
Trapper - The anatomy of bear traps and leg wounds.
Wraith - Spinal treatment
Hillbilly - Chainsaw maintenance
Huntress - Axe throwing
Doctor - Cognitive studies
Legion - Toxicity
Clown - Additional Toxicity
Myers - Detention
Oni - Anger management
Pig - Head wear
Plague - Viral studies
Leatherface - Arts and Crafts
Artist - Aviary studies
Blight - Chemistry
Singularity - Electronics

Grim Embrace is invaluable atm. One of my biggest killer failings is I end up spreading hooks too much thus run out of time. GE rewards me for doing so, especially when you use pain res on the second hook for each survivor 😅
2 wins from 2 as Knight with Grim, DMS, Pain Res, Surge.
-
I've had some struggles playing killer this year, despite playing well and utilising my power properly, I end up inadvertently spreading hooks too well and survivors turn the game around and I run out of time.
Since putting the new grim embrace on with my other gen regression perks, I'm unbeaten as Knight. Grim Embrace rewards me for spreading hooks albeit the survivors still get the gens done, but the gen progress haulted as I traverse to the next gen is absolutely invaluable.
The OP makes sense though. All the hype, all the excitement, all the thoughts about mastering said new killer, only to get rinsed by survivors multiple times who are of higher skill.

I don’t think the problem is necessarily the AI and more of the games base code that’s the problem. It really has been needing an overhaul a long time ago.
Another one id like to see, a zoo keeper/animal handler. Could send out a bear and wolf for the player to control.

I’d like a hunter killer that sends out his dog to attack survivors.
Same, although Knight didn't go down at all well in regards to ai killers.
-
Solo survivor takes me about 60 seconds
Killer takes about 6 😅
UK around midnight GMT
-
Used it once with DMS just before lights out started, haven't played since lights out. Felt it was far too strong. Will be using it again tonight when I play.
-
Killer hook theme's/colours instead of just charms to decorate them.
Interactive lobby
Instruction emotes 'Heal' 'Exit' 'Save' 'Thanks' 'Stop hiding'
-
Hopefully its more than just a crawler. I mean, what would that add that we've not seen before? Will be low to the ground like Chucky, bursts forward like Demo and probably moves around like Blight. Underwhelming going on the teasers for me.
-
The patrol lengths are plenty long enough without call of arms imo. 4 seconds of extra chasing for 2 useless guards is handy as it keeps them occupied a bit longer. I don't use the 2 chases tactic that often as 2 of the guards won't catch sod all, so need to double up on marked survivors to be more effective.

I'd personally rather there be no MMR
Should just go back to ranks.

He's frustrating as hell depsite being fun. Survivors can easily abuse him and 2 of his 3 lacklustre guards. If survivors hold w away from the action areas or circle back for the flag, you've had it frankly. If they try and loop you, even at shack, you'll do well, but he's very easy to get the better of.
Map of the realm is mandatory, as is dried horsemeat.
Even in lights out, with those two addons missing, he felt very underwhelming as guards chase less and often miss spotting the fleeing survivors.
Best strat is to try and pincer survivors. Fire guard at gen, then watch the guard chase as you cut them off. Do it properly and you can be standing still when they run into you.
-
Ctrl Z
-
Survivors that are gen efficient can still win in a killer favoured game mode.
Knight's basekit is pretty woeful. Map of the realm and dried horsemeat need adding
Legions are just as annoying in lights out as they are in regular matches.
-
I wouldn't say GG to a team or killer who just got thrashed, comes across as taunting. Id say unlucky or that was a tough one for ya. Had a survivor do exactly that a few games ago.

Conspicuous actions doesn't include flashbangs or fast vaults. It's basically anything that has a progress bar such as gen repair or healing yourself/others.
Ive used flashbangs and then tried to use the endurance which failed? I saw someone else post that they had issues with the endurance triggering.
