Assuming every SWF plays as if their lives depend on the game. When I used to play with my friends we laughed at people dying too fast to the killer. Not all SWF are sweaty like that, its a minority but its true.

Brazil here. Survivor is almost instant today, killer takes about 5 minutes

Survivor aren't being ignored, they nerfed thana because of survivor complaints
Sluzzy you do not speak for the survivor playerbase, please stop acting like you do
The best anti camping perk but I know its gonna get murdered when the chapter comes out lmao

In the scenario I provided the hooked survivor doesn't even make it to second hook stage. Two survivors can easily keep a hooked survivor on the hook and in first stage indefinitely. Especially on the Game.
If a perk can be so brutally and easily abused, that's just bad perk design.
The perk should have a 60 second cool down minimum. It would still be possible to keep a survivor on the hook indefinitely, but it wouldn't be easy.
Not 100% sure but you can still attempt an unhook in the first stage
And again, if people want to grief, they can grief, they don't need a perk to do so
-
@ByeByeQ said:
If it can be abused it will be abused.
I already know there will be cruel 3-man SWFs who will have 2 or 3 people running Reassurance and their sole goal will be to have the solo on the hook and for them to see how long they can keep them on the hook in first state. They'll think it's funny and laugh like schoolboys as they do it and they'll think they're clever. They might not even do generators. They'll have 1 person running the killer while the other 2 keep Reassuring the hooked survivor.
If it can happen it will happen. And in DbD it will happen multiple times every day unless they change Reassurance.
This can be fixed by giving the option to ######### on second hook stage. Could be something like pressing the space bar a couple of times in a few seconds as if you were missing skillchecks, done.
In my opinion, the perk should focus on keeping the game as healthy as it can for people playing as "intended" and not being changed because players can abuse it wrong.

Greifing purposes. Mostly.
And they can do that without any perk if they want

Not really. The hook is meant for pressure. If you can basically infinitely pause it. There's not even a point in hooks anymore. But that's the least of my problems with the perk.
Whats the point of survivors stopping hook timers if you are not there? Just don't camp

It just needs to be once per hook. There's no reason you need that much time to save someone.
Oh there is plenty of reasons

In life you're never going to please everyone, that's why I used the word "mitigate".
Yes well , people complain about camping and slugging because it's boring and you're unable to do participate in the match, yet others seem to be happy to hang on a hook doing nothing for 4 minutes. "It's crazy".
You keep replying to me but never have addresses what I asked for. What issue is there if they keep in skill checks in for second stage? They can even make them extremely slow. It doesn't nerf the the perk in anyway. Why would you be against this change?
I am not against, I just think its useless
-
It should give you 50% health and combo nicely with Resurgence
Unhooked and automatically healthy
Oh yeah, killer mains would cry, so they will keep it in the original form.
-
To be fair, I think almost all meta killer perks are behind a paid DLC?
-
Guys, take notes of all the matches that a killer tunneled someone with low prestige level
-
Time to fix dead ends?
To start, add a window behind the gen on the second floor of one of the houses in Badham, thank you.

So we shouldn’t attempt to mitigate instances? Just keep skill checks for second stage.
Dbd will never please everybody, just like any other game
One day a bunch of people is complaining about how survivors are killing themselves on the hook. The other day the complaints are about not being able to die. It's crazy.

Not on second stage.
It doesn't matter, if people want to grief they can grief right now. They don't need a perk for it

I know for a fact that there will be squads who will use it to grief the solo player
Can't you still attempt to unhook yourself even if the timer is paused?
-
Only campers are complaining about Reassurance
-
Nowadays its not even necessary to check profiles. Killers are tunneling survivors with a low prestige number

This still hasn't been fixed

if the survivors are not braindead, the killer just starts camping and they have kindred, best strat is to split the 3 on gens and do it, or two on gen with prove thyself (i always use it) and one other on another gen alone, in the case of when the killer camps at 4 gens; if the killer camps at 5 gens (which is not bad, just punishment for being downed right at the start of the game) the same can be done but requires a bit more of looping after the gens are done, but by that time the gens are already ending and the map is still full of resources; at the end, must of the matches i have were the killer gets 3k and 4k by camping it is because the survivors are extremely awful, some even run around the hook while the killer camps. At the end, a nerf to camping and tunneling would not be good at all, these bad survs just need to get better and use kindred in the same way they did with old dead hard, simple.
This is almost impossible in solo queue and you answer to camping is basically saying survivors should run a meta build with Prove Thyself, Kindred, etc. It's like if you could know if the killer is gonna camp even before going to the match so you pick that build. You are saying "use this build forever and counter camping". How fun is that?
Also, with gens taking longer and with a bunch of slowdown perks, doing gens nowadays mean nothing. The killer will camp and guarantee at least 3k at the end of the match.
(Ive been trying to post this comment here but its not showing on the page for some reason. Trying again)

The only way to "punish" tunnelling is to make survivors perks strong. Oh wait, they nerfed DS and Off the Record doesn't work in the endgame. I guess the devs want killers to tunnel?
Well, the only other solution is to actually hurt the exp/bp points gain. If the killer downs and hook the same survivor in a short period of time, they lose all points they gained from both.
Camping can be addressed by simply slowing down the entity's progress of the hook if the killer is too close, and if they don't leave the radius and don't start a chase with another survivor for a long period then the survivor teleports to another hook far away.
-
Bring back Decisive Strike and Off the Record still activate when 5 gens are done

Eyes. Ears. Or the fact that he's an M1 killer and can't do ######### against a half decent team.
That's the counter.
Yeah, the same with every other killer, which it brings back to square one
-
"bring this, bring that"
And thus the meta never changes
-
Wraith is undetectable, fast, and invisible. Survivors need to have a counter and its not even base kit, you need a flashlight in the first place.
-
Rookie Spirit needs a buff.Give you a speed boost for a few seconds if you stop any regressing gen would be nice

Rework Plague and Legion, then we can talk about changing Thana again.
Ideas for Plague rework?
My suggestion is: the sickness doesnt make you broken, but the Plague can see the aura of all contaminated objects
-
I truly believe he needs nerf, but on his mini mori. I think he should only be able to auto mori by torment if he sends a survivor at least once to the cage. It's kind bullcrap to me that you can hook a tormented survivor until you not only save time but skip every attempt that survivors could have of escaping from the last hook.

And I'm not sure if it makes any difference. Both intended and unintended DC is pretty much the responsibility of the player.
Sounds like what a game designer would say
-
I have a perk concept for Daryl Dixon for a while now. The name of the perk is "Board Up". You see the aura of broken pallets and walls in a close range. You collect a token from the pieces and after 5/4/3 tokens Board Up activates. Then you hold a button next to a raised pallet or a breakable wall for a few seconds to reinforce it. If the killer kicks it the animation lasts 2 seconds longer. it doesn't affect when the killer uses the m2 to break it.
They could do something like that

How? If you're DCing every game, you honestly shouldn't be playing. You're ruining games, and it needs to stop.
The game can't tell if it's an intended DC or a connection loss/game crash

Or...punish the ones ruining the games against her?
I personally think that if someone DCs too much in a short amount of time they should be banned for a month or even a year. Too many people are ruining games now, it's getting out of hand.
How to ruin an entire game with just a single decision

They're also effectively bringing back old Object of Obsession. You can combo MoM and OoO to get unlimited aura reading on the killer from 16 meters or more. Now you just have to take 2 protection hits instead of 3 and you get to see the aura while you're both injured or healthy. And you have Endurance.
All of this whilst not doing a single objective, sounds very killer side

Sabotaging is a Conspicuous Action so it would deactivate the perk and if you take 2 protection hits while a killer is carrying a survivor to a hook, that's usually enough for them to break free.
MoM is basically now only useful as a breakout build. Where you follow the killer while they carrying the survivor and take protection hits so the survivor can break free. Anything outside of that is nerfed because the conspicuous actions.
Oh, I mean it WAS, sorry, since you were talking about how rare the perk was. I used a few times with Breakout and toolboxes for sabotaging. Now it can't even be used for this.

But seriously, I think in the over 1k hours I've played I've seen MoM on a survivor build a maximum of 5 times and I don't recall it ever giving them any value. I haven't seen it at all since 6.1.0. I'm kind of surprised they're even tweaking it... there can't be that many people using it.
Mettle of Man is only useful in saboteur builds, I feel like it
-
Okay, I like this. Its perfect for Plague. With legion will still be a little annoying but no even close as it was before. Now it encourages you to heal up. On paper it looks fair but we need to see in practice.

If you get a crash more than once a year, it's likely an issue on your end. If it's not fixed, uninstalling the game isn't exactly a threat..
Hahahaha
-
My game is starting to crash frequently, that crash that asks me to explain what I was doing right before the crash and send it.
If that happens and I get a big DC penalty, I am uninstalling
