Perk is bugged. I was the last survivor in the match and still opened the exit gate with normal speed
-
I used to play the game almost every day in my spare time. Now I play a couple of matches and feels like its enough for the entire day.
-
Distortion is amazing for swf
You can call all the perks the killer is using and tell your friends
-
How can you be scared of a game that you know how it works and its exactly the same over and over?
-
Pretty sure the haste effect is maxed out at 7% and you cant stack, unless they changed with the latest patch

Not impossible but that many games in a row? You have 4 survivors. 1 occupies the killer while the other 3 should be on gens. Assuming that one is most likely doing a challenge then you have 2 on gens. So your team should be finishing more then 1 gen. It tells me that you guys are feeding into the strategy or throwing. Also kindred will help a lot too. I find that a lot of people are dcing or throwing but so long as I have 1 other competent teammate then we at least get a few gens done. Hopefully some soloq help is on the way
Yeah, it should be simple but this is solo q. I have no idea what my teammates are doing almost all the time. There is no way for me to know if they were actually playing or throwing, and I have to give the benefit of the doubt.

How is 1 person getting tunneled out then you lose = 1 gen done? The amount of time you need to commit to tunneling someone out usually leaves the killer with 2 or 3 gens left and if the survivor is good maybe 1 gen left.
My bet is that your team or you are throwing. Except for high pressure plays ie slug into another chase, at high mmr i expect to trade my first hook for 2 gens. If survivors are playing optimally then its worse.
The best advice I can give if you are actually looking for advice and not whining because you aren't being handed an escape is this.
Learn to run the killer. Get good at it. Make it your goal when you play and not escaping. There are some perks that can help you learn this like Windows of Opportunity. Once you are good at running the killer you face 2 scenarios in soloq. If you were good at running the killer then a good killer wont take the chase and then you must do gens or take agro for worse teammates. If the killer isnt that smart then run them long enough for your team to do the gens.
Its really all you can do. Soloq needs some help and tunneling/camping is without a doubt an issue. But not a 4k at 4 gens every game issue. Thats throwing.
Edit: I play solo with me escaping about 60% of the time it feels. Just a guess but this patch isnt as bad as some make it out to be imo.
Yes, 1 gen done. Is that too impossible to happen? Of course not.
-
If the killer goes back to hook as soon as the survivor is saved and chases the recently hooked survivor, thats tunneling
-
I think tunneling is somewhat connected to the fact that killers can see your prestige level in the lobby. People might use that to decide who to tunnel out of the match. The prestige information should only appear in the results screen.
-
Thats the problem. Isnt the meta supposed to end? Or it was just supposed to change? If everybody runs Off the record than thats the new meta. The currently survivor "meta" is a joke and the killer is stronger than before

It needed a nerf, it was way too strong. It's the only way killers can track you! Without grunts of pain, survivors vanish. It was really unfair and one-sided.
Scratch marks, blood and step sounds

I literally do.
I'm on console, not all my friends are on the same platform as me. Sometimes I find it too much of a faff to try and balance two pairs of headphones on my head and use one ear for game sounds and one ear for discord.
Yeah, I do it too sometimes. You get invited to play together with people you know and can plan stuff on the ingame chat. Not all "swf" use comms everytime.
-
Camping is easier now. Put a survivor on the hook, have Thanatophobia, maybe some other slowdown perks too like Deadlock, gens will take longer to be repaired. Do this to every survivor and you will get 100% a 3k minimum every match.
-
@GrimoireWeiss said:
I prefer making them work like Pyramid Head's cages but with a longer margin of time, like 30 seconds of staying near a hook and the survivor teleports to another hook. Whenever a teleport happens the survivor gains 15 extra seconds of hook timer so the other survivors have time to unhook.
Yes, this is the best solution. 30 seconds that would be paused if the killer starts a chase with a survivor.
-
Just use nightlight
-
Even worse: when the killer never chases you or hit another survivor
You escape and de-pip
-
Its a form of protest, I won't judge you
-
And that's why removing map offerings from the game will hurt killers more than survivors
-
@Seraphor said:
What about when I play with friends but don't use voice comms? How do I get my fifth perk slot then?
This
-
Killer in a range: timer stops
Killer in a range but in chase: timer continues
-
Make her cooldown after blinks longer, make the blink attacks count as special attack and not basic
Thats enough for me

I don't think they can without conflicts when run together with Residual Manifest.
Make 1 perk take priority over the other. Blast Mine and Repressed Alliance work together like that
-
Dead Hard is actually better now. Just give it time for everybody to master it and killer mains will cry about it all over again
-
They should make the perk to activate every time you are injured but you can rummage multiple chests for a medkit.
-
Thana and Dying Light are broken on Legion and Plague. Either you waste time healing (Legion) or give more power to the killer by cleansing (Plague) or you endure a gigantic slowdown. Dying Light speed bonus to the obsession is worthless when you are versing those 2 killers.
-
Against skilled players DH is worse than before, you (the killer) basically give the survivor a much more distance now
-
@RisingTron said:
If It's Nurse, Legion, or Plague I just throw myself at them and move on. Not playing games against killers with 30 slowdowns just so they can have fun stomping a solo queue team.
I will take any Nurse over Plague and Legion
-
Honestly its more likely than Jaws lmao
-
Jaws did not invent sharks
-
They will make all exhaustion perks deactivate when the exit gates are powered up
-
Yes, Propnight killed the game, and then Evil Dead killed it too, and now VHS is gonna finish the job

Maybe a harsher penalty for DCing or suiciding on the first hook?
How will the game know you DC on purpose or if you are just trying to escape the hook yourself when all your teammates are down? Imagine getting a harsher penalty for not doing anything "bad"?
-
Thats the point of the Nightfall
-
I need to complete the rift and get my auric cells back
-
Does anyone know if For The People work with Renewal? I believe the answer will be no but its worth asking anyways.

Overcome does not trigger on endurance hits. That's intentional. (It used to when it was new, but it was deemed a bug and removed.)
I see, basically another nerf for the perk
-
I had a game once where I still had endurance from bt
and the deathslinger shot and hit me. So I got away but I got no speed bonus from overcome. It's that normal? I wasn't exhausted
-
Make the survivor teleport to another hook if the killer spends too much time around it without hitting anyone. Make the player lose exp points if they keep downing the same survivor in a row in a short period of time.
-
Also Legion counters BT, Off the Record and Dead Hard. This needs a re-work
-
Wait a minute, now I wonder if the gen that I tapped in one of my games was affected by this bug. It makes sense...
-
Any Means Necessary trash? ok

I'm trying to clean out the new tome, but after three hours of SoloQ I realized something. It's genuinely not entitled crying and overblown exaggerating. SoloQ is literally unplayable. SWF or play another game and support devs that care about their players I guess.
I bought the rift and I want my auric cells back. Its gonna take a while but I need to play until I get it. I could just play killer but I am not in a good place to sweat for points right now.

Well maybe first 3 gens should be 90s but the last 2 should be 80s I think that would be fine.
Or for every gen completed the speed would increase for the remaining gens. They could increase the repairing time to 100 seconds and as soon as the first gen pops all other gens get a little speed boost leading to 95 seconds, and then 90, 85 and finally 80. I think that could work.

3 slowdowns minimum per game + tunneling. Sooooooo much fun.
Imagine Dying Light too? It's busted with Plague and Legion. It gives slowdown to gens and the obsession can unhook and heal faster, but why heal against those 2 killers? Stack with Thana and Pentimento and its gg.

I voted for B just for that Adam cosmetic, because the other B ones are kinda bad. A is indeed superior.

I think saying saying "the patch went overboard" is painting the issues with too large a brush.
In general a lot of the changes are good and what was needed, but there are a few changes that felt like too much or too little, and the survivor reaction to these is overblown. I get it, it's a lot of changes all at once, so even though there's good in there there's also a lot of bad to draw your attention too. But most of the issues I've been seeing since the patch are not due to killers being more powerful, they're due to survivors refusing to play or adapt, giving up at the first sign of inconvenience.
So what could realistically have been a bad change?
Thana should have been nerfed to 4% instead of buffed to 5.5%.
Self Care didn't need a nerf.
DS being disabled at end game was enough, it didn't need the nerf to stun duration.
Conversely, Pain Resonance didn't need to lose it's noise notification (it could have had the regression nerfed a bit instead), and Ruin didn't need to be nerfed to 100% considering it's now guaranteed not to make it even half-way through a game.
These are all nitpicks in the grand scheme of things, well except maybe Thanatophobia.
I would add that Dead Hard should have not been nerfed to 0.5s. Calm Spirit should not give the speed penalty (but nobody uses that perk anyways), and they should figure out a way to use Dead Hard even if you need to mend at least against Legion and Deathslinger.
-
Survivors in my games are getting face camped at 5 gens. No wonder the other survivors are giving up mid-game. They desperately need to address camping and tunneling
-
It blocks the word "youtube"
-
They should reward every player who played Clown in the past week with some BP, shards or even a Clown skin for free (could be one of the cheapest skins in the store, nothing major)
-
The DH nerf is a buff to him. You can no longer dash over the traps.
