So we can expect some changes for Saloon and Midwich?
Of course not 😂

The achievement is hard to get and takes some time. (To open the Gates on RPD 20 times)
I was in a lobby with a streamer two times in a row and they sent us to RPD because they grinded the achievement. I would also not really say that it is survivor-sided and that this is the main reason why it is burned.
The achievement is hard because, guess what?? Its a killer sided map! Less chances for you to open the exit games lol
-
@BubbaDredge said:
If RPD is killer-sided, why do survivors burn offerings for it so often? That's second only to gradeschool in my experience.
Because they want to play the map
Dead Dawg Saloon is also one of the most common offerings by survivors
Are you gonna say that map is not killer sided as well?
-
After the "balance" of Coldwind, I am 100% convinced the devs want all maps to be killer sided

do you want facecamping killers so it's easy gen rush and an easy 3 or even 4 people out, or do you want an update so facecamping is no longer possible? it was a losing situation for the camped survivor no matter if the team wins or not, so here we are face camping update is coming.
a facecamp buys the team at least 2 minutes
not enough to do all gens and the 3 remaining survivors to escape
Best case scenario 2 survivors escape and 2 die
A killer that wants to camp will come prepared with perks to slow down everything as much as possible

I mean a 4 escape can happen within 5 minutes as well. I good game is subjective to whose having a good game. To me a good game is playing for about 10 15 minutes, if everyone gets out after that time then good if, I 1-4k good. As of right now I'm tryna to play for Max BP and hooking 1 surv and slugging the remaining 3 at 5 gens isn't gonna cut it. Bp for sure should be way more than it is as well, it'd be different if it were pooled in to one all survs contribute to a pool of BP that they all get equally not split, that way if meg gets camped at 5 gens or tunnel3d her team can still net her plenty of BP. Killer obviously doesn't have this issue.
The killer would get less points if they tunnel or don't spread hook states as much as possible
its also fair that survivors would get less points if they gen rush
And if Meg is getting tunneled and camped, she could get points for "giving a chance" for teammates to do the objectives as well. Not much, but at least something
At the end of the day, its way too complex to come into a best scenario for all parties.
-
I think hooks should multiply the points you already have
hook survivor 1: 1000 points
survivor 2 right next: 2000 points
3rd survivor: 4000 points
4th survivor: 8000 points
Any survivor next that is not the 4th: keep the 8000 points
If the same survivor is hooked back to back: no points granted and the streak ends
That concept is not exactly to punish killers that tunnel but instead reward killers that don't
Again, I've said a million times, the game should be balanced around fun, not for sweat winnings. Having a good match with 4 escapes should grant more points (and be considered a win) than a 3 minute match with 1 hook for every survivor and 5 gens up
-
@awustzdn said:
What they should do is just bring back the BP bonus on BBQ.
That doesnt change anything
a tunneler could still hook all 4 survivors and gain the BP bonus
-
I guess you were already proxy camping in the first place
-
That means 2 survivors are not on gens
If you are chasing one then the other one is trailing behind
Would you prefer a coordinated gen rush instead?
(not saying the perk combo is "fair" or "healthy", it's just an honest question)
-
I reported a player that associated "gay" with "dumb" in the endgame chat
never received the feedback
I guess that association is allowed

its not useless, its just hard to use and actually takes more skill now.
If you say you cant play with it, do it like everyone else and Run MFT. No thinking, just Doing. Just like with old Deadhard.
The first nerfed DH and DH now are exactly the same
It doesnt take more skill now just because you can only use a max of 2 times per match

All it is is stats.
Nobody said the game needs to be balanced around whatever the stats say, just that if you want stats, there you go.
Obviously its impossible to accurately say why the stats are what they are, but its much better then people just pulling a number out of nowhere.

Acting like several killer perks haven't also been nerfed into oblivion in the past. Like Eruption, Call of Brine, Ruin, Overcharge, Pop Goes The Weasel, Pain Resonance, Thanataphobia, and Tinkerer. Just to name a few.
remove pop and pain from that list, and overcharge is still better than the first iteration

“Terrible perk, but hey, it’s not a survivor perk so no nerfs at sight”
….Made For This? No? OG Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Self Care, Balanced Landing?
Let’s not act like only one side gets powerful things that take ages to get adjusted.
I don’t use the perk, so I don't care what state it’s in personally, but that last line gets me, as does a lot of “us vs them” comments.
LMFAO

Mind you, Calm Spirit doesn't even counter it. Survivor doesn't scream but you still see their location and the PTB didn't include a fix for this. So there isn't a realistic counter at the moment, you'll always get value from UW as killer.
You kidding me?
And people have the audacity to defend this perk still??

I am loosing my marbles at the sheer bias on display here. There are a bunch of perks that have no counter. If that is what makes a perk overpowered, then I guess it's time to nerf Self-Care again?! I thought we agreed that it was pretty weak.
A perk that can be used every 60 seconds? I guess Sprint Burst isn't a thing. Or any other exhaustion perk for that matter. Didn't realise they removed them. Or WoO, that stays active the whole game. Or MFT again, which stays active for as long as you aren't exhausted.
UW DOES NOT PROMOTE SLUGGING FOR THE 4K. Absolutely not! If anything, shouldn't you be happy, if a killer does it with UW? They would do it anyway but with UW you're not going to be left on the floor for 3 minutes at least.
Also, why would anyone use the undetectable addon combined with Ultimate Weapon? That defies the whole purpose of being undectable. If you scream and get blindness, then you already know, that the killer has this perk. And if they don't have a TR, then you also know that they are coming for you with the undetectable status.
That last part is hilarious. UW is only a few weeks old and yet here we are with people who complain that it hasn't been nerfed. Funny how MFT on the other hand hasn't been nerfed after 3 months. But hey, MFT is not a killer perk, so no nerfs in sight. ;-)
Nah
-
This perk is disgusting
No counter for the entire perk except for Calm Spirit and perhaps Vigil
But calm Spirit just hinders you by doing totems and chests 30% slower
Soon you won't scream from inside a locker, but that doesn't help at all when the killer can just spam the perk every 60 seconds
Also promotes slugging for the 4k
And you know whats funny? Apparently the perk works even if the killer gets undetectable at the same time they open the locker (the Huntress add-on)
Terrible perk, but hey, its not a survivor perk so no nerfs at sight

This is the whole reason WHY the dc penalty exists to prevent people from ruining matches because they didn't like what they were up against.
then people will kill themselves on hook

@Raptorrotas said:

Congratulations! The removal of the DC penalty would finally allow killers to ragequit as much as survivors do on hooks.
Resulting in a 75-100% killrate in the stats (which ignore DC games), if only because every killer would legally DC when the gates are powered.
The penalty must stay.
lol by DCing you still forfeit every point you gained at the match
Its not gonna be more common than it is right now
-
Remove DC penalty and its solved

I disagree as killer there was too much clutter in the way and it felt like you would get stuck on everything and you would lose so much distance on the map.
I think its quite the opposite lol
Never had a problem with killer on this map, but I don't play Hillbilly, cannibal or Blight, so I don't know how they feel on that map
Absolutely one of the best maps for Huntress, Deathslinger, Trickster, and now the Xenomorph
I honestly don't think the map needs rework, but yeah, everything needs to be killer sided now (thats why they never touch Midwich, Rotten Fields, Wrecker's Yard, Shelter Woods, etc)
-
One of the most balanced maps in the game in my opinion
Rework in favour of survivors or killer I wonder

Blocked gens have always been able to regress with perks such as Pain Res but they do not regress with passive regression - killers can't kick them, Hex Ruin doesn't work on them. It's the instant regression that works, that's by design and has always supposed to work in that way.
I remember testing Repressed Alliance versus Pain Resonance and the blocked gen didn't explode. We put 2 gens side by side with progress, one more than the other, and blocked the one with the most progress before a hook. The 2nd gen with less progress exploded. 100% this was not the case from the start.

It’s interesting to me how anytime people criticizes an element of survivor gameplay (like awful perks), you have an example of a time when that perk or feature just totally saved the day for you. It’s a convenient pattern I’ve noticed in your responses.
"Poised is not bad. How many times I was running the killer on my death hook, a generator popped and the killer lost me, saving the game?"
"Corrective Action is a good perk. There was a time when and 2 other survivors were doing the last gen, the gen was almost finishing and the killer was coming, the other 2 survivors let go of the gen but I lost 2 of my tokens and I managed to finish the gen. We wouldn't otherwise if they missed the skillchecks"
Just some jokes lol

I made a discussion about this not long ago and it ended with an extremist killer main starting their nerf calm spirit campaign under my post.😭 I'm still traumatized.
I remember a while ago in this forum someone said Calm Spirit was too strong because it doesn't alert the crows, and the crows is a detrimental way to spot survivors, and removing that is too much.
-
Wait, it doesnt protect the gen from exploding?
whats the point of the perk now?
-
They should remove the Endurance effect and give a flat out extra health state, like Mettle of Man, so if the killer hits your Bt you can still run them for a while. It would be a really strong anti tunnel perk. But oh yeah, the devs already said tunneling is a strategy. There is no point in not tunnel in this game.
-
I'm guessing you opened a ticket with a video proof?
I did a report a while ago, with a video. Their only reply was that they checked my report but couldn't tell me if the players would get a ban or not. Honestly, I don't think they care.

Unhooking a survivor itself takes 0 skill. Holding M1 on a gen takes 0 skill.
The game doesn't need to be super "skillful".
Thats why chase exists

Franklin is the only thing killers have to counter some powerful survivor items.
STBFL and Sloppy only work on M1-killers, who are usually weak to begin with.
NOED is a weak perk. If you lose to the killer running it, that's purely a skill issue.
Knock Out is garbage, it needs a buff if anything.
STBFL only works on M1 killers? Thats not even a funny joke
-
The fact that you scream even from inside a locker is a complete joke
This perk needs a huge cooldown
-
Nah
just because I sited on a gen for the whole match whilst my teammates were looping the killer it doesnt mean it was a good game for me
I much rather have fun games with many things happening and die at the end

Sorry, but its a very dumb mechanic. It would be the same as the killer having 2% per chance when kicking a gen to remove 50% of its progress. Like, the chance is small, but when it happens, it just spoils all the progress one side have.
I can understand the hatred towards this mechanic, as it can feel very unfair to one side of the game, specially as it can get quite high chance if you have 4 survivors trying 3x to escape from the hook.
DBD can be very fun without these stuff.
Nah
its not like killer players can't play survivor as well and enjoy the mechanic themselves
its important for the balance of the game

What if a survivor is injured in a match, so his voice can be recorded? And place the recording device anywhere to fool the killer
Thats the "tape recorder", a perk that I created for Ji-Woon as a survivor
Repairing 50% of a generator activates the perk. When injured you hide inside a locker for 10 seconds to record your grunt sounds. The sounds stay in the locker for 180 seconds.
The other perks are:
VIP Access: Finishing opening an exit gate while injured grants you Endurance for 8 seconds. Teammates who open exit gates within 8 meters from you are also granted endurance for 8 seconds.
No Spin: Teammates within 16 meters from you can see each other's aura. When healing a teammate, all survivors can see your aura at any distance.

Generators are solid objects. If a generator can be pushed and pulled around the map, they can be pushed and pulled into places where they can block off loops and doors. For example, the generator in the toilets of the Meat Plant isn't far from the only way out of the room. With the way collision is, you could probably block half the door and trap the Killer inside while allowing Survivors to come and go.
Easy to fix: just make it so survivors can't place the gens by entrances and exits.
-
@Raconteurminator said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3533138#Comment_3533138
The first thing Survivors would do is find the quickest route to block the Killer into a dead end. You wouldn't even have to try too hard on some maps.
what do you mean?
-
I have 1 solution:
as soon as there are only 3 gens left, survivors are able to push/pull gens
they can only push/pull in 4 directions and on flat terrain
survivors can push/pull 0.5m/s of a 0% progress generator
The more progress the generator has, the heavier and slower it gets
2 survivors can push/pull the same generator, increasing the speed to 0.7m/s
I don't know, the number may need a tweak but the fundaments are presented
-
Big doesnt mean bad for killer
The tiles are not strong, the main building only has 1 decent loop and the map has a huge deadzone in the corner with nowhere to go but 1 direction
