- No more aruaras or scratch marks
- Mandatory 1st person POV for survivors
- Darker lighting
- Weather changes
- Darker red stain
- Less 2nd chances for survivors and more power to killers
Dbd is currently treated as an E-sports festival by most survivors thanks to the way the game is designed. Killer has to be sweaty in order to even have a chance to pip against good survivors. At this point I don't think dbd could ever truly be a horror game. It can be horror-themed, but not an actual horror game like Silent Hill.
-
No more survivor buffs, at least not when killers are still getting consistently nerfed. Hatch already exists, and there's keys. Survivors already have more in their favor.
-
The entity wouldn't last long on Earth. Eventually she'd encounter Beowulf and, well, we know what happens when Beowulf encounters something evil.
-
Collision needed to be removed with Spirit. It made no sense that she could body block while phasing, especially considering she's technically in a different realm. The other killers didn't need any nerfs, I heavily agree with that. But hey, since survivors can't loop, they need killer nerfs in order for them to have a chance at surviving.
-
Most likely Dwight. Everyone else at one point at least had good times, where as Dwight never had good times. The closest he had to that was when he worked for Phil's Petrol, and that's being a mechanic. Dwight is the average millenial, basically 90% of us. Looks smart, is actually not very smart, just has common sense. Shy and nervous. No friends. Never did all that good in school. Constant dead end jobs. Eventually catches his big break but it only lasts for a few months. Gets betrayed by his coworkers and eventually ends up in a pseudo-purgatory stage of his life. Pretty sad/mediocre life for Dwight if you ask me. He's realistically the most relatable. Can't help but feel for the poor lad.
Killer wise, I'd say Hillbilly, for one similar reason to Dwight. He never had a good time at any point in his life. From birth he was alienated and neglected, he literally never even had a chance, where as every other killer at one point got to experience joy, happiness, and tranquility/peace. Poor Billy got demented early on. It is better to be saddened by the knowledge of loss of good times, then to have never experienced them.
-
Nope. Instead, unhooking yourself (even with Deliverance) should stack with BT. That would be more balanced. There's already a million other ways to stun killers.
-
So basically you want a viable killer to be nerfed for no logical reason even though he can be looped like any basic M1 killer. This is some top tier bait.
-
I highly doubt the Devs actually addressed the issue of toolboxes. If they did then they brushed it aside quickly after without any hint as to what they plan on doing. If anything, toolboxes will get a buff. Let's make a logical prediction (based on the Devs' recent actions and words):
Hello Fog Dwellers. As of late, toolboxes have had a controversial viewpoint, so we've decided to make necessary
buffschanges in order to make toolboxes more balanced so that both sides are always having fun. Currently toolboxes are underwhelming and underperforming. For survivors, toolboxes simply don't help enough with increasing the repair speeds, as killers are able to apply too much pressure for the toolbox to even be used. For killers, toolboxes simply do not provide enough challenge/counter play. As previously stated, toolboxes are underwhelming and often make little to no difference as to the chances of the killer winning. So we've decided to make some changes that will make toolboxes more useful for survivors, and provide a more fun and challenging experience for killers. Each toolbox will now receive a 15% speed buff and have a built in 20% repair efficiency. The efficiency add-on will now be replaced with an add-on that grants more bloodpoints for repairing generators with toolboxes. Socket Swivels will now receive a 5% speed buff. The Engineer's and Mechanic's Toolbox will now have 180 charges at base level. There will be two new add-ons. One will grant 100 charges. The other will have the following effects:
- Great skill check zones will be increased by 80%
- Failed skill checks will no longer alert the killer
- Allows the duplication of the Brand New Part once per trial
Happy Trials Fog Dwellers!
-
Devs will never address the fundamental issues, the only "balance" they believe in is in the form of nerfs. And from the looks of this video, it seems like Trapper is overperforming. Let's logically predict what the Devs will do in response.
There will be necessary
nerfschanges in order to make Trapper less frustrating to play against. A killer being able to get four kills when the survivors were close to winning shows that Trapper's base kit is a bit overwhelming. In order to optimize the survivor experience and to give the killer a more fun and challenging experience, Trapper's bag add-ons will be removed and replaced with add-ons that award him more bloodpoints. This should help Trapper from gaining too much momentum. Another solution is to increase the time it takes for Trapper to set his traps by 100%, which should give survivors enough time to closely observe Trapper's tactics, in order to provide necessary counter play. We've also noticed that Trapper is too fast. This combined with his power is too overwhelming for survivors to deal with, so we've decided to reduce his movement speed by 10%. Lastly, we noticed that Trapper has too many traps scattered across the map, this is simply overpowered and provides little to no counter play, so we've decided to remove half of the traps from the map. This should help survivors move around the map more freely without having to be constantly worried and stressed about stepping into too many traps. Happy Trials Fog Dwellers! -
None of the above, but rather some quotes (some may be modified to get the point across and for comedic effect).
In red-green ranks, it goes like this most of the time:
"These are great days we're living, bros. We are jolly green giants, walking the Earth with guns (flashlights). These people we wasted here today are some of the finest human beings (killers) we will ever know. After we rotate back to the world (campfire), we're gonna miss not having anyone around that's worth shooting (looping)". -Crazy Earl, Full Metal Jacket
"I lived the life of a selfish man, but I don't have to die that way. If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me". -Michael Enslin, 1408
(basically how it feels sacrificing yourself to save people during endgame when you didn't save anyone before)
"I am in a world of #########, yes. But I am alive. And I'm not afraid". -Pvt. Joker, Full Metal Jacket
(how it feels when you escape after having a bad game due to try hard killers and potato teammates)

For killer yes, if you're playing against potato survivors who can't commit to gens and let teammates go into 2nd phase before rescuing. When going against good survivors who make zero mistakes at loops and avoid chases at all costs to get gens done asap, no, unless you're a masochist.
For survivor yes, if you have good teammates who can do gens and not crouch walk everywhere. When you're stuck with potato teammates who can't commit to gens, wait until you're almost dead on hook to go for the save or farm you 5 seconds after being hooked, no. Basically if you have these teammates, especially in red ranks, you're going to have bad time:
2 or 3 man SWF who screw around and cost you the game.
2 or 3 man SWF who brought in boosted green and yellow ranks and didn't take the time or just didn't have the common decency to teach em how to play the game before dragging them to red ranks.
Red rank survivors who are in red ranks because of how stupidly easy it is to get to red ranks. All they did was just hold M1 every game and rarely engaged in chases and played immersed, and when they did get chase, they lasted because they went against potato killers. Either that or they got boosted to red ranks by their SWF crutch and now on their own, can't hack it against a basic M1 killer.
Sandbaggers and people who work with the killer
Entitled DC'ing brats who should uninstall and go play civilization
Obviously I'm a survivor main but I don't even want to imagine how much more painful it is for killers. All of my complaints are miniscule to what killers face.
-
Survivor objective being too easy while the killer objective is basically a glorified chore.
-
It's both. Gen speeds are ridiculous and killer mistakes are more costly. The game is harder for killers in general (12 hooks and 24 hits to get a 4K IF you play by the survivor rule book by not tunneling and camping) and easy for survivors, even in solos. Anyone who says killer is easy is either in yellow ranks or consistently goes against potato survivors. Killers are severely limited when it comes to being able to control the flow of the match, even with Nurse, Spirit, and Billy. Pressuring all 5 gens in an open map is not possible against good survivors and if you commit to one chase for longer than 30 seconds, 2-3 gens can be done. The game is designed poorly. Firstly it shouldn't even be classified as a horror game (only the 12 year olds get scared), secondly, it shouldn't even have killers below B tier in a tier list. The fact that killers can be weak when the killer is supposedly meant to have the power role just shows blatant hypocrisy and lack of knowledge or willingness to actually balance the game with fixing the mechanics rather than rolling out constant nerfs to both sides (survivors have way less nerfs btw).
Killer is meant to have the power role
(gets nerfed consistently and rarely gets bug fixes)
Feelsbalancedman
DBD is treated as a competitive game, has been since 2017, and it's why killers have it hard. All survivors are sweaty gen rushers who will avoid chases at all costs just to have a quick 5 minute game. That's why there's so many potatoes in red ranks, it's so easy for survivors to rank up because all they have to do is hold M1 for x amount of time and bam, instant pip. They eventually get to red ranks and when they start getting consistently chased they do terrible because they're always being immersed gen rushers and the few times they did get chased when they were in purple ranks and lower, they went against potato killers. Now in red ranks they can't last more than 10 seconds in a chase against a basic M1 killer. The current state of DBD for survivors is hold M1, get a save or two, avoid the killer at all costs, tbag at exit gates and chant Gg2Ez. The current state of DBD for killers is get 1 hook by the time 2 gens have been done even though the chase only lasted 10 seconds because of toolboxes, BNP's, and the fact that multiple survivors can work on gens together (44 seconds for 2 survivors, very balanced) and low mobility for most killers. It's common knowledge that no matter how good a killer is in chases, he's still going to get gen rushed against decent survivors, so perks and powers that help with chases are pretty much useless, and the perk which helped slow gens down the most (ruin) got nerfed into the ground and now only works against potatoes who can't commit to gens. So even if killers play optimally (fast chases, constantly patrolling gens), they can still get gen rushed. Now if they make a mistake, that's around 20 free seconds given to survivors to complete gens. Basically most things that helped with slowing gens down have been nerfed (Forever Freddy is a perfect example). I wouldn't be surprised if they made it to where Dying Light and Thanosphobia or however it's written don't stack.

I play survivor at rank 1 too and often times entire teams go down in the game :) at rank 1
I also think that people really need to start reading patch notes and going through all the changes in the game removing the bug fixes aside from that. Balance and things added to the game are pretty heavy on the other side. Ive been a part of this community since july of 2016 I have seen every single change I have played since basically release BOTH sides. Balance updates have been almost always to fix survivors being too OP. Nerf after nerf map change after map change mechanic after mechanic. I have seen it all I have been here for it all, I am a veteran. I know what both sides feel like I know what it feels like to get absolutely dunked on by a survive with friends.
If you can give me some solid evidence of survivor buffs in more then just a handful of places you can win this argument. Legion almost killed the game if you remember correctly the analytics for the killer were insane I think we lost upwards of 10k players after the release of legion when people started to realize there was no counter play. Lobby dodge after lobby dodge when seeing that deep wound every match. Bring me solid proof my pattowan of buffs to survivors buffs that haven't been reverted buffs that are still consistent today.
Prove me wrong.
The mechanic changes towards survivors were to prevent infinites, which had no counter play btw. Double pallets which had no mind game (lots of pallets still have no mind game to them) and god loops that don't even need pallets (Coal tower is a good example). Survivor buffs are rare, I'm not saying that survivors have received a plethora of buffs, I'm just pointing out that survivors have always had the power role, it just wasn't realized till the masses stared playing swf on a regular basis and learned how to loop. Oh and let's not forget about patch 1.9.2. (: it was definitely aimed at making survivors not OP. Legion was broken, I do agree, but now he's balanced (people who say he's too weak just don't know when to use Frenzy). I'm actually starting to wonder if you play survivor consistently or we just have very different games. At rank 1 (always solo) I have no problem playing, I could easily bully killers if I wanted to. The solid evidence is the game itself. Jungle gyms, god loops, killer shack, they're all still here. Toolboxes with BNP's, Prove Thyself, SWF with comms, survivors having a combined total of 20 perks vs 4 killer perks (best survivor kits outweigh a killer's best kit) and DC for hatch escape. BT, DS, Adrenaline, and DH. Flashlights, no more "insta-heals" but they're still powerful and have very little counter play. Killer bugs that have been problems for months now (sound bugs mainly) not even being addressed, yet DS bug instantly gets fixed because it's a game breaking bug (not like sounds are game breaking either, right? Killers don't need to hear anything). Oh and just pay attention to the Devs' attitudes towards killers in general. Remember MC saying "Go play survivor or play some civilization"? The game has never been for the killers, they've had some quality of life changes yet still primarily depend on survivors being potatoes in order to even pip (let alone get a 2K). Either that or they tunnel/slug/camp or force survivors to 3 gen themselves, even with S tier killers.

survivors have had nothing but nerfs for years. You know they changed hook spawns 4 times, removed pallet loops, changed jungle gyms added bloodlust changed perks, more then just self care Mettle of Man and DS. Do you remember why we lost so many survivor streamers? Because they were forced into positions with no outplay. The game wasn't fun anymore no matter how good you were you were going to lose if even 1 person on your team wasn't bringing their A game. You had to have so much synergy that the game was impossible to play without a swf. They even gave killer the ability to close the hatch the end game collapse makes it to where survivors have no choice but to die especially with the door locations almost always being on the SAME wall or within walking distance of each other to camp both of them. One perk from killers gets nerfed and it all falls apart. If you have been here through all the patches you can talk about balance because the game has been balanced to help killers win game. I play enough killer (I play spirit btw) to know that until I hit around rank 8 every kill is easy every game is easy I don't have to think to play the match I can just phase pretend to phase counter every play that a survivor makes because I can force them into predictable patterns. I can down a whole team of survivors before 3 gens are done and a lot of the time I can if they do get 4 done make sure I force them to throw 3 gens to 1 side proxy those gens get free kills pop goes the wheezle the gen that is almost done chase a bit rinse repeat til there are no pallets and everyones on last hook. It's so easy to force survivors to play MY WAY. I don't have to worry about keeping them off all my gens.
Yes I play spirit and its kinda scumbaggy the way I play but if its a mechanic and part of the game then why would I change how I play if I don't have to.
I can tell you play against a lot of potato survivors and don't know how to loop. If you honestly think survivors have been consistently nerfed then that's just plain survivor bias. Most of the few nerfs survivors received were necessary because they had no counter play to them, where as killer nerfs already had counter play yet nerfs were rolled out anyway. Survivors have and always will have the most safe role. They have plenty of loops which don't even have any mind games (god loops) and still have quick gen times. The only way to "control" a match as a killer is if you make the survivors 3 gen themselves, otherwise you won't stop the gens from getting done (at least not with a low mobility killer). Most matches where the killer wins is due to incompetent survivors who run around doing nothing and can't dedicate to gens. At rank 1 as survivor the game is too bloody easy. Doesn't matter how much skill a killer has, if I'm at a safe loop he's not getting me until he makes me drop the pallet, and by then there's gonna be gens popping like crazy. Not to mention survivors still have toolboxes (with BNP's) and the ability for them to work together on a single gen. The games I lose are almost always due to teammates who don't save people off hook until they're in 2nd stage or are incapable for whatever reason of doing gens. But there's always hatch and keys, which give me free escapes. Bloodlust is literally useless 99% of the time because by the time a killer receives bloodlust, it's a sign that they've already wasted too much time on a single chase. DS needed to be nerfed, if you can't see that then I don't know what to say. Literally being incapable of putting people on hooks was unbalanced as hell. Anyone who had trouble playing survivor back then or now is just a complete potato, plain and simple. Looping still exists and always will.

Looping. Problem solved. Never had DS unlocked and rarely got tunneled once I made it past purple ranks. If you're good at looping, then the killer won't tunnel you. If they do, then they're gonna throw the whole game and your teammates will escape so either way it's a win. Killers are already weak enough, preventing them from using one of the strategies that gives them the ability to apply pressure is basically giving them the middle finger.

Michael Enslin from 1408 (underrated movie). The guy is a badass author who killed something similar to the entity (albeit a very small scale version of the entity). I don't wanna spoil anything but for the sake of detailed explanation as to why Michael Enslin should be in DBD (and the fact that most people won't watch the movie anyway), there will be spoilers.
Basically Michael Enslin is an atheist author who spent his life researching the paranormal things of this world, though never finding any concrete evidence of paranormal things (yet all his books are based on paranormal research). He wrote books such 10 Haunted Mansions, 10 Haunted Hotels, etc. He always came in prepared to his gigs with instruments that would potentially be able to detect ghosts (EMF meters, Spectrometers, etc.) and such. Well one day he gets a tip on a place called The Dolphin Hotel in New York, the postcard said "Don't enter 1408". He calls from Los Angeles to book the room and staff never allow him to, at any date, "It's unavailable." "How about next month?" "Unavailable". "How about next summer?" "Unavailable". So he flies to NY and eventually convinces the GM to let him stay in 1408 for one night. Basically room 1408 is an evil entity (similar to The Entity) which can bend time and reality for the person once they enter the room. 1408 since it's creation, has had over 56 deaths until finally being put out of commission. Put simply, Michael has the worst night of his life, from nearly dying countless times, to his mind being toyed with by seeing his dead daughter's fake ghost and his father's, to almost having his wife being lured into the room as well. In the end however, Michael defeats it by making a makeshift molotov cocktail with an ashtray and throwing it out the window, which explodes the room and sets it ablaze. Michael ends up surviving after being pulled out by firefighters and laughing until he passes out. He also managed to get a recording of him talking to his dead daughter while going through the ordeal, which is showed in the ending scene.
Michael Enslin would, in my opinion, provide great lore for DBD. He'd be the only survivor who has combated something similar to the Entity. If he manages to ever meet up with Virgo and/or Benedict, there could be drastic lore expansion. As far as his perks go, here's what I have in mind (these won't take balancing into consideration, these are solely based on his personality, however the balancing aspects can be discussed):
Creative Thinking: As a writer, your mind opens pathways to creative solutions. When there is one last generator to be completed and the last three are within close proximity to each other, two will randomly receive 15% bonus progression for each great skill check completed, and 5% bonus progression when normal skill checks are completed. "Let's Encyclopedia Brown this #########"
Non-Believer: You've never believed in anything supernatural, yet always sought after it. When within the terror radius of the killer, you gain the Haste status effect for 60 seconds, gaining a 5/6/7% speed increase. Non-Believer has a cooldown of 140/130/120 seconds. "I mean, look, nothing would make me happier than to experience a paranormal event, you know, to get a glimpse of the elusive light at the end of the tunnel"
Last Stand: You've lived selfishly your whole life, and after everything you've gone through, you're ready to atone for your sins and make your last stand. During the EGC, when the Entity would take you into the depths of the void, you fight back. Upon being stabbed by the Entity, you pull out a makeshift molotov cocktail and throw it down, stunning the Entity for 30 seconds, prolonging the EGC. During the 30 seconds, you suffer from the broken status effect and your aura would be permanently shown to the killer. One exit gate is randomly opened and the hatch is permanently locked, unable to be opened under any circumstances. The previously opened exit gate is closed and must be reopened if the other exit gate is unable to be pursued. Last Stand is not a Teachable Perk and can only be used by Michael Enslin.
"I lived the life of a selfish man. But I don't have to die that way. If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me. This may not all be real, I may not even be real, but this fire... that's got to be real. Go to Hell!" "Keep quiet, you bastard." "You're wasting your time." "We're here to do the job, and we don't rattle." "The Decor is in tatters and the staff surly." "But on the Shiver Scale... I award the Dolphin 10 skulls!"
-
Nope. Earth has Beowulf. In order for the Entity to conquer Earth, it would have to conquer its past as well, and the past contains Beowulf. Picking a fight with Beowulf would be suicide for the Entity.
-
We got this guy saying a suicidal perk needs a nerf and another guy saying killers need nerfs because being stealthy and fast are too OP. I'm so proud of this community.
-
Anything that would make the game harder for survivors, the devs won't do it. Ruin is a joke now at red ranks. Unless the killer initiates a chase with me, I'm not getting off a gen. Either new ruin needs to not be a hex or they need to buff gen regression when kicking it, say 15% at base and buff PGTW from 25 to 35 but make it to where you need two hooks to activate it.
-
Huntress or Plague, tall girls are the best.
-
No Mither, Resilience, This Is Not Happening, and Spine Chill. Use an Uncommon Toolbox with a BNP and either a Wire Spool or Socket Swivels. As long as you're good at looping to keep yourself alive, you're gonna end the game in 3-5 minutes as long as your teammates do gens as well.
-
With Ghostface he needs his revealing mechanic to be changed, that's it. I can look him dead in the eye and he'll still expose me. Myers is fine where he is, he's just a basic M1 killer who's add-on reliant against good survivors.
-
For high rank players (actual high rank players, not the baby meg whose in red ranks because she got boosted there by David and Nea), not really (unless it's a complaint), especially killers. However, with the precious boosted ranks (green and up), yes, but not with killers. The devs do make some quality of life changes for killers but not enough to actually balance the game, they keep it around a grayish area which leans more toward the survivor side. To give an example:
Killer complains about survivors being OP: He gets lynched by the community and the Devs label him as nothing more than a whiny entitled baby with no valid suggestions to offer.
Survivor complains about killers being OP: Every single detail of the complaint is thoroughly read and taken into serious consideration and will most likely be put into effect. The Devs will never tell survivors to stop complaining or to get better, they will make necessary "changes" to ensure that they are having fun and to make sure the killer isn't over performing as to ensure the survivor isn't having a bad time.
Ruin nerf was a clear example of this. They also gave Doc a buff (a big enough buff that he's now B tier) but that's just to compensate for the ruin nerf. Again, they try to keep it in a gray area but it's always leaning more towards survivors. As a red rank survivor, if I make a suggestion on how to make things more challenging, such as making the objectives harder or to not buff per se, but to at least revert the nerfs to killers, my suggestion will never be taken seriously, it never will be. However, if I make a complaint about the killer over performing, my complaint will catch a few eyes in the balancing department. It's honestly just a big mess. Any time anyone tries to show the Devs what's wrong with the fundamental issues such as game mechanics and RNG, they brush it aside and only look at complaints which would require nerfs and/or buffs because that's their solution to everything. Nerf nerf nerf and maybe a little buff here and there. They'll never address the fundamental issues, which is what causes everything to be wrong in the first place. Survivor objective is too easy, even with No Mither and no items, and killer objective is too hard, especially with weak killers and with weak perks. I as a red rank survivor frequently run No Mither and blast music while playing because that's how easy the game is for me. With killer I have to absolutely focus and raise the game volume and constantly worry about every single move I make in green ranks (because matchmaking is broken and I get paired with red rank survivors who most of the time are swf). Anyone who has an easy ride at high ranks with killers is constantly going against boosted potatoes who don't belong in high ranks, plain and simple. No one is telling me with a straight face that going against a 4 man swf with 1000's of hours of experience is fun. But hey, according to the Devs it is fun, right?

A lot of people lack empathy in real life and are actually sadistic in nature. Unfortunately they spread their negativity in games and find pleasure in causing people to feel bad. They're probably just some spoiled high school kids with massive heads that probably bully people in real life too. Doesn't help that the devs keep nerfing killers to make things easier for survivors, which in turn inflates their egos. "GGEZ". It sure is when the game mechanics and map design literally favors them. Just try to ignore them and keep practicing. Play custom games with friends who can teach you how to mind game around loops and such if you must.
-
Survivor is so easy it's almost becoming boring tbh. I usually blast some Metallica, Deep Purple or Alice In Chains while playing. I'm also starting to run No Mither just for a high risk play (I pair it with Resilience, Dead Hard, and Spine Chill). As a survivor all you do is hold M1 for x amount of time, crouch dance with a baby meg (who will 9/10 times get downed 10 seconds in the chase as soon as she's on her own), run around a pallet, and get the infamous David that bullies the killer (either intentionally or unintentionally) for half the game and gets a fat face camp (red ranks in a nutshell). I don't know what people do in boosted ranks anymore but I assume all they do is complain about everything constantly cause they don't know how to run around a pallet. To all purple ranks and above:
Please stop complaining and demanding nerfs. The game is already easy for us red rank survivors as is, we don't need it to be any easier. Just learn to play the game or go play something else, try civilization, for a refreshing change.
-
David. He's the most muscular and and knows how to fight. Fighting knowledge plus physical strength are the most important things when it comes to survival. David could take on anything in the Entity's realm with his bare fists. Were it not for the Entity's restrictions during the trials, David could easily stomp half of the killer roster. Ash would easily survive because of his luck and the fact that he could take on deadites. Bill since he was a Vietnam vet but not only that, he was Special Forces as well. Jeff because he's tall and muscular as well, plus taking a punch with those rings on his fingers would be an instant k.o. He's also used to the cold so temperature wouldn't affect him. Everyone else would survive by hiding, while these 4 would fight their way through almost everything.

Lol at all the entitled survivor mains "i'M nOt wAiTiNG tO bLeEd oUt fOr 4 miNUtEs". I can smell the saltiness of boosted green ranks.

To compensate they could make the radius smaller than the normal TR, maybe 24m?
That or reduce the time effect of BT to around 8 seconds, that way it's more reliable but can't be abused as it currently is.
-
BT actually needs a buff. It shouldn't require a terror radius in order to activate.

Imagine wanting something that already has the easiest counterplay to it to be nerfed. You can literally disable the perk by cleansing the totems. "But I can do something more productive" well maybe stop being a try hard? If you're so focused on objectives that you literally want an easy way to something, it just shows that there's no reasoning to your suggestion. 10 seconds wasted by a survivor is nothing compared to a killer wasting 10 seconds, and you do realize that you have 3 other teammates, right? Just like everyone tells killer mains, I'll say the same to you. Adjust your play style.
-
Only if something is done about gens but that'll never happen. DS is already anti-tunnel and if someone manages to still get tunneled after hitting their DS then they're just bad at the game. Never had (still dont) DS since I didn't buy Laurie and only got Myers and loops saved me from tunneling all the time. Not sure what ranks you play survivor in but at least 2 of your teammates should have BT to save you with if you're in red ranks. Looping is already the best anti-tunnel. DS is just an extra safe way to get to loops/waste the killer's time. We don't need to make killers weaker, no more bloody nerfs.
-
It would make the killer even weaker. If survivors had in game comms then they'd be as powerful as SWF, it'd be the same exact thing, there's nothing to balance around that unless they give all killers a 5 or 10 percent speed buff. The game was never meant to have SWF, it was based on peoples' ability to work together under various situations and make the best plays based on common sense and thinking. Comms are literally a free win, as they give survivors 24/7 knowledge on the killer. Solo survivors just need to adjust their play style. I managed to get to rank 1 solo (whenever I played swf in green ranks I always screwed around and never pipped, for me I can't focus well when in SWF) because survivor is so easy.
-
No one's going to bring a logical argument as to why Billy needs a nerf, entitled survivors who couldn't counter him will bring up all the excuses in the book. His add-ons are balanced as is, his power gives him the ability to actually apply pressure, he can still be looped like any other killer, etc. He's like Freddy, he's powerful but balanced. There is literally nothing about him that's broken. Any killer with counter play doesn't need a nerf, plain and simple. I really hope the Devs ignore the demands for more killer nerfs. These boosted entitled survivors just need to learn how to loop instead of asking for nerfs. As a rank 1 survivor it's already easy enough to survive, I don't need it to be easier.
-
Could always use Aftercare but ye, at the very least Wake Up! should get a speed buff in my opinion. No harm in insta opening gates when all gens are done anyway, at that point the game is over unless the killer has NOED and/or Blood Warden.

I only say tunneling is acceptable under certain conditions and that it. It’s still dirty and cheap but under the right circumstances it’s ok.
this post is like what Majority of naive killer main keep saying Tunneling is a strategy when in reality it’s not, it’s a bad and unhealthy playstyle you think it’s necessary when really you just need to GET GOOD, because your lack of skills surely is showing to do.
It’s funny how you just tell survivors to RUN META PERKS when there are other perks some survivors wanna use and shouldn’t be force to change them Because killers like you wanna play CHEAP during the beginning and middle of the game. killer main Come to FORUM and COMPLAIN about NERFING DS DH ADRENALINE AND BORROW TIME But yet you use this cheap pathetic strategy? I just see ignorance.
THEN killer mains complain about survivors DCing from the game because they play LIKE this when You are asked for it. Then again comes to FORUMS complaining about activating a DC penalty. I’m so done. Some killer main are serious ignorant.
Y’all don’t realize you are the cause for survivors META PERKS. It’s why a don’t complain about DS Adrenaline BT and Unbreakable and why I don’t consider them as CRUTCH PERKS because they are not. They are working how they are supposed to, but it punishes FAIR and Well-Played Killers at the same time because of it. The only TRUE CRUTCH PERK is Dead Hard and it’s half broken anyway.
So using common sense is a cheap move? Yeah let me give the guy a chance when I know the survivors aren't going to give me a chance. Do you guys ever get your killer past rank 15? Try telling me it's possible to get all 12 hooks without tunneling against good survivors. Survivors literally have the most advantages, they have more perks to help them with chases, they have tons of loops (safe or unsafe is irrelevant), and the simple fact that they are 4 of them vs 1 killer. Now make those 4 survivors SWF with comms, now they have an unfair advantage as they can find out who the killer is faster, practically have 24/7 information on what the killer is doing. Tell me, if you're a survivor and notice the killer is doing bad (I can already guarantee you don't pay attention to these things), would you not gen rush and give them a chance to have a longer and more fun game? Nope. You'd never do it. So why do you expect killers to do the same? I used to not tunnel, back in yellow ranks. Survivors were potatoes and couldn't commit to gens, couldn't loop, etc. Now in green ranks (because I usually go against red rank swf survivors) I have to tunnel people to death or else I won't be able to apply as much pressure, especially with low mobility basic M1 killers. I'm a rank 1 survivor, I never have a stressful game unless I play while I'm in a bad mood (which usually leads me to making bad plays). Survivor is so easy it's laughable. I don't even have DS and tunneling doesn't happen to me often since I can loop the killer long enough for them to give up and go back to gen patrolling. Also instead of just calling killer mains ignorant why don't you actually look into the game mechanics and notice the fundamental issues with gen speeds and map sizes (which are the main reasons why killers tunnel)? Old ruin made most killers not try hard and able to do decent chases with all 4 survivors without having to worry about gens getting done. Without old ruin, gens go by too fast with survivors who do nothing but gens and don't care for survivor-killer interaction, so killers are burdened with this stress and worry of gen pressure, and thus need to get kills as quickly as possible in order to alleviate pressure. What's the best way to do that? Tunnel people to death or at least twice so the next time they're hooked they're dead. Again, unless the survivors are potatoes who waste time running around doing nothing, gen rushing is inevitable. Sure, a killer can notice when survivors are doing bad more mediocre and decide to drag the game out, but that's a sign of a flaw with the game design. The only way for killers to play Mr. Nice Guy is if they had ruin (old ruin. new ruin only works against boosted survivors who can't commit to gens) or the survivors lacked skill and common sense (literally holding one button for x amount of time). It just baffles me how my fellow survivor mains are so one sided and expect everything to be in their favor and expect killers to play nice when literally zero survivors would do the same for killers. There's never been survivors that don't do gens so that they don't gen rush the killer, the only survivors that don't do gens are either due to memeing around, being a potato, etc. Survivors always use the best items and add-ons, so why are killers bashed for doing the same? Survivors can end the game quickly by gen rushing and having little to no interaction with the killer, and they're seen as skilled. When killers end the game quickly by tunneling and ending chases quickly, they're seen as trash baby killers. Oh and let me put up some numbers for you.
Survivors: Takes one to do a gen in 80 seconds. Not only that they can do great skill checks which grant 5% bonus progression, If they hit 10 greats, that's 50% bonus progression. Now give him a toolbox with speed add-ons and you're looking at about 50ish seconds for one gen to be done by one survivor. They essentially have 3 lives (since it takes 3 hooks for them to die). Now let's take a look at chases. A chase with an average red rank survivor and killer would last about 30 seconds if they're near loops (safe or unsafe). One person who hits great skill checks consistently and has a toolbox with add-ons can get a gen done in one chase (I'm not even counting perks that help with gen speed/progression and the fact that multiple survivors can work on a single gen). Now add the time it takes for the killer to recover from the cool down after an attack, and then the speed boost survivors get after they're hit, then the cool down from the successful hit, and then the time it takes to pick them up and bring em to a hook. Now repeat that process 2 times again WITHOUT the same person. You see how great the odds against the killer are? Little mistakes from killers are so costly as literally every second is against them. Survivor mistakes aren't costly, as they have so many second chances with loops, dead hard, decisive, bt, and the speed boost they get after they're hit. Sure killers have some second chance perks but they're late game perks. NOED is one yet it can be completely useless if destroyed. Fire Up is also one yet is nigh useless. Remember Me can do some good if the RNG screws the killer over with mile wide apart gates. Blood Warden is pretty much the only decent late game perk, but good luck getting it to work if the survivors saved all those pallets for late game. Point is, the odds are always against the killer, they have to juggle everything, and then on top of that, they get nerfed all the time, as if their job isn't already hard enough. So next time you get tunneled, remember that there's literally no pressure on you besides holding M1 for x amount of time, meanwhile the killer has to get 24 hits (if he doesn't tunnel) and 12 hooks.
-
Telling entitled people (survivor mains or not but it's mostly survivor mains) to accept that things won't always go their way? Oh man, that's a risky move. I love how killers are meant to have this "skill" and work extra hard to get all 12 hooks without "scummy" plays yet no one expects survivors to be skilled and loop killers to avoid getting tunneled. Everyone can tell killers to "git gud" and it's seen as constructive feedback but doing the same for survivors is seen as moronic babbling nonsense.

To quote the mighty Bricky:

And even survivors are being screwed from this update. In red ranks queue times are getting higher from lack of high rank killers willing to play. I can practically play a whole Breaking Benjamin album with how high these queue times are. Now I wish I was back in green ranks.

I completely agree with you about Hex:Ruin, RNG, Toolboxes etc. But I don't agree that Freddy's Add-on, PTB Oni and Spirit were okay. BUT they weren't the only problems. Toolboxes are way too strong. And the chance to get one in s trial is pretty high, so you can not prepare. RNG is way too weird and maps are sometimes too big.
Besided that, I apology for missing the point myself. Didn't expect them to balance nothing.
But just a quick reminder that both sides are at some point annoyingly strong or weak. I hate it when people bash on one side without trying to understand anyone or anything.
Exactly. Both sides need to see things from each other's perspectives. It's just that most of the time, it's the killers getting the short end of the stick. Survivors get screwed too, i.e. hitboxes the size of Jupiter (thanks dedicated servers), bugs (such as basement bug), etc. But in terms of nerfs/buffs and balance in general, survivors get more of the good treatment and killers get most of the bad treatment. Recently though, the Doc is a good exception, he's actually been slightly buffed yet remains balanced. It's just that the Devs need to stop thinking about money (the new update was specifically aimed at appeasing the new players) and actually balance the game. I don't know what's worse, the possibility that the Devs don't want the game to be balanced, or that they're actually incapable of balancing the game. I remember that one of the Devs said they don't like to see things as survivor or killer sided yet their balancing decisions don't reflect that.
-
Yes let's nerf killers even more. Let's just remove perks for killers at this point, what's the point of even having them if the Devs are just gonna nerf them because of the entitled attitude of survivors? If the Devs see this request of a 'rework' there's an 80% chance they'll take it seriously and put it into effect. Can people stop demanding killer nerfs ffs?
-
This actually seems balanced. It could still come into clutch at certain moments but can't be abused as it currently is.
