  • I run an endgame Legion build Tatariu coined of BFFs/Iri Pin, alongside Spirit Fury/Enduring/No Way Out/No One Escapes Death at reasonably high MMR and win more than I lose, so I'd say it's definitely viable but can be killer dependant. A 'normal' Legion game where I'm not playing for endgame and I'd probably need the bread and butter of Pain Res/Surge, or mix and match to your preference to create enough pressure to secure a draw/win

  • It's either bugged or you can't, no. Was in a game as Legion earlier and couldn't grab someone off a gen that was blocked, could only M1 and was stood directly behind them which is odd

Borders more on the realms of "adjustment", shifting power from her traps to her chase potential as she struggles to close chases. The trap nerfs are rough tho

Relax, tomorrow we will have a new survivor with 3 amazing perks... don't complain! 🤣

You mean 3 perks that are borderline useless or extremely niche kek, all of Alan Wake's perks are completely Mikey Mouse tier, Gabriels only redeeming perk is now only useful in extremely niche situations (RIP Legion), I don't even remember what Ripleys perks are I see them that little. Meanwhile, Ultimate Weapon, Friends Till The End....

  • Huntress buffs are insane to an already low A Tier ish killer tbh

  • @ScioNex said:

u can play plague or legion if u truly dislike that playstyle, also stbfl can pretty much counter a lot of those since u farm stacks if u hit people even through endurance, hit and run wraith with sloppy will also work since u surprise people and keep them wounded, and tombstone myers also counter it since people that get in ur face basically means easy win, also its good survivors have something to use, if they wont have anything the game will be boring, there are plenty of tacitcs and builds to use which nobody uses.

Nah bro get that combo gone. Why? A high mmr SWF used it VS her when she was obviously slugging so now it needs to be removed. If she's 4king like she claims every game anyway I don't see why it's an issue amirite

Aw I see I’ve got myself a little fan on the dbd forums. Love that. As for the post regarding the bot it was a question. And I don’t think I should be shamed for interacting with the community of a video game I’m passionate about through discussions and debates on subjects regarding the game. And negative people like you is inevitable but I only see it as I’m producing meaningful discussions worth the engagements, so again, thank you!!

Your posts are hardly debates they're constant wailing and crying about survivor perks. I just think I see a post from you every day on here complaining about something different. Can't wait for someone to drop a pallet on your head running Power Struggle/Flip Flop/Boil Over and you be back on here again with another "let's talk about [x]".

Not replying any more to this thread anyway, gl hf in future games

I don’t understand why you choose to commit the Ad Hominem fallacy like that. My history of posts and my gameplay does not invalidate my points. If you have something productive to contribute in regards to this specific problem I’m presenting, I’m happy to hear.

And fyi, I 4k every game and I’m almost rank iri one and it hasn’t even been a week since reset and it’s also because of that I’m at an MMR where this combo is problematic, I can’t always afford to engage a silly prolonged chase when I’m not even running a slow down. Stop projecting your skill issues onto others and let’s acknowledge the subject brought up. Thank you!

youre literally projecting your skill issue onto the forums with a new post every day about a perk youve come across in game that you dont like, what are you even talking about.

  • You want us to load in with no addons? Cos thats the way your arguments seem to be going. "Lets talk about BU + FTP", "Lets talk about OTR", like come on dude? You think survivors enjoy going against Pain Res/Pop/Surge/Grim/Dead Mans assortments every match? Don't see you complaining about those overtuned perks though. You seem to have an issue with most of the meta survivor perks which leads me to believe you arent that good at the game. I play killer just as much as a survivor and I never have an issue playing VS these perks, you know why?> Cos I can take my own BS meta perks as well. Try adapting your playstyle when you notice they have these perks perhaps

And to top it off you have a spirit flair, arguably the 3rd best killer in the game. Quite funny

  • @fussy said:

I tested it a lot and it's buff in one way and nerf in another. 2 tokens were too strong, because if you missed a hit, you just got another try in 4 seconds, what means almost no window for survivor to reach another loop. Now it's more rewarding if you outplay him.

And this addon was not good with two tokens in any combo besides double Iri, so it now could be used with others. I'm sure you don't want to see only double Iri Blight.

Stop overreact just because some number was increased, it's not always a buff.

This is literally the dictionary definition of a buff

The addon is currently useless and getting 1 more use isn't going to break the addon.

How will Blight cope with having a useless addon, beats me

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

They just can't stop to buff Blight.

Someone really need to tell them that: Blight is strong killer, even without add-ons. He does not need any good add-on.

Now i am pretty sure upcoming update will give him some buffs since they nerfed his add-ons, so he should not feel weak 🤣

It's insane, they just can't help buffing S+ killers that feel like they're playing the game in Creative mode. Nurse receiving a buff to her blink Lunge add on mid last year, alongside the "nerfs" to Blight, now this, it actually seems like they don't play their own game.

I know that, but survivor mains just simply refuse to learn anything new now which is really annoying because that's why anything from the killer side is new survivor mains start to complain nonstop even if it's something that isn't really a problem from both sides.

    M a d e F o r T h i s

  • Nice try devs you can't fool me

  • brother nurse has been left unchecked since I started playing the game 1 year ago, and has actually received a net buff with the lunge addon change earlier last year. they will leave grim embrace as is for 2/3 months as it will sell artist chapters (one of the lowest pickrate killers) and its another tool to hold killers hands on top of the 8+ other meta slowdown/aura read perks they can choose from. sooner you realise that the devs dont care about balance and want to shale things up for no reason from time to time, the better

I'm gonna assume you're talking about exhaustion perks, specifically the ones that make you run faster than a base movement speed killer. Yeah nice, but don't complain about getting 4 man escapes as you didn't tunnel, and sometimes it is just clearly better to do it ...

DBD community in a nutshell .

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3648035#Comment_3648035

Do you play killer ? And do you get carried by your perks or by you strategy, and if you don't get carried by these you don't have survivor of your level and if you get big winstreaks, then you just are tunneling with meta perks, if not you will stop that winstreak when you get to the top mmr (The matchmaking is not bad enough to not do that...).

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3647935#Comment_3647935

No it was 5 seconds and a 0.5 animation, so effectively a 4.5 second stun ...

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3647757#Comment_3647757

"And from a player experience standpoint, it's extremely poor. You are ruining one players experience for no other purpose than an easy win that will handicap you later. Tunneling is something a lot of Killers, myself included, crutch on. It's not necessarily bad to crutch on things from time to time, but it can seriously hamper your development as a player. It will cause you to win much more often and easily than the rest of your skills would allow on their own and in turn, place you against better opponents who can and will abuse you for not being up to snuff."

If you create in a game two strategies, one that is optimal, and one that feels bad for the other side, ow imagine that both are the same, then you have a reason to do the first ... I am not saying that tunneling is always optimal, but 1v3 is far more manageable than 1v4, and that is what needs to change one way or another.(that is an exemple that doesn't take into account every single thing there is...

"This creates several different issues where Killer players believe themselves to be better than everyone else after winning so much and then they get destroyed by actually good teams. "

At the same time, that is a matchmaking problem...

"Hence we get complaints about survivor death squads, how unplayable Killer is etc etc. "

In my opinion, Killer without tunneling is harder than survivor that gets tunneled, and even more if you purposefully do not take strong perks to support you. And getting tunneled is a win if the exit gates get powered before you die ...

"In reality, the teams were likely beatable and the player just isn't as good as they think they are."

Yes, but some situations are not under your power even if you are good (a God hillbilly on hawkings)

"The Nerf to DS made tunneling way more present in the game than it was before."

False, before it was slugging, and now you just pick up, but you don't get slugged anymore, so it is just as bad but you don't get slugged for no reason ... i like more that balance of DS, and the only problematic thing about DS id that DS is a non-perk against nurse ...

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3647865#Comment_3647865

Not all killers are dumb, we do have ears ...

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3647995#Comment_3647995

It does do it's job ... and it does it well but you can just loop and gen efficiency is through the roof, apart from in my survivor games...

yeah i do actually play killer and i play at a reasonable MMR level without running quad slowdown sprinting it down the first hooked survivor, lo and behold the games are way more fun eitherside with more and longer chases. killers dont tunnel because they have to, they tunnel because they CAN

  • To play both sides and see things from both perspectives, it's because the meta for both sides is an equallibrium. Survivors have no choice but to gen rush as fast as possible to max chances of escaping due to tunnelling being so prevalent, and in turn the meta for killers is to take 4 slowdown perks to slow down survivor progress as much as possible, and the most efficient way to do this is, you guessed it, tunnel 1 person out of the game to pressure the win (in the case of being hooked, leaves 1 on hook, 1 to unhook, 1 to do gens making it insanely difficult for surv post first kill). Its a wierd balance spot for both sides and the devs need to take a real long look at it imo , don't even know what to suggest myself

  • ah here comes the killer mains for another survivor perk that helps stop tunnelling. Decisive is already on the watch list, adrenaline is probably being nerfed in the newr future, now you're coming for off the record. Do you want the game to play itself on top of quad slowdown builds or press spacebar on a locker to make everyone scream outplays? Seems that way. Off the record is fine as it is, it barely stops tunnelling anyway and if you are really complaining about survivors making no noise after bring unhooked, it suggests you're tunnelling them anyway which makes you part of the problem and why perks like off the record and decisive exist.

Maybe don't tunnel if you know they have OTR, and I dunno, chase someone else?

That is not true, the hardest info perks to counter are the myriad of ones it is completely impossible to counter.

There is no counter to Lethal Pursuer, Floods of Rage, Bitter Murmur, I'm All Ears, Nemesis (assuming the killer has it in an Obsession-swapping build), or Territorial Imperative (lol) short of using an aura-block perk. Even if you know these are in play, there's no avoiding their activation, not really. Assuming you have to perform some of those actions (someone has to unhook for Floods, for example, and if someone's hooked in the basement someone has to go down there, etc), you will be revealed, and you cannot stop it.

There's also no meaningful counter to Eruption, since it's very hard to know when someone's about to go down - that's why it was changed to an aura read to begin with. The same is also true of THWACK, since you can't tell when the killer's about to break a pallet with enough time to actually leave the radius. You could make the argument this is true of Infectious Fright too, but it's a little easier to just book it away from a chase and have that not be throwing, so we'll give that one a pass for now.

Then there's the ones that are technically counterable if you know about them, but give no indication to you that they're in play. This includes Gearhead, and kinda-sorta Nowhere To Hide. The killer could make it obvious with NTH, but if they don't, you don't know it's in play. With Gearhead, you're just not gonna know.

I think a lot of people get too hung up on perks like BBQ, which do have clear activation on the survivor side and kiiiinda give the right tell they're in play. That perk can be countered, most aura/info perks cannot.

This is normal. Most info perks just work and you as a survivor counter them by making yourself hard to catch, not by denying the information to begin with. That's been perfectly reasonable for a long time now, Ultimate Weapon being "impossible to counter" puts it with the other info perks, not above them. There may be arguments to make about any other element of the perk, but that one isn't a problem. It's normal.

    distortion

  • With how far gone the generator perks are..? Brother there's literally like 2 worth taking and a couple more that are niche alongside BNP/Wire Spool as toolbox add ons. Meanwhile there's a decent range completely viable slowdown perks that appear in most games these days and are insanely popular. Pain Res, Deadlock, new Grim Embrace, Surge, Corrupt Intervention, Pop Goes the Weasel, Dead Man's Switch, there's probably more but they're the ones I see all the time in SoloQ. If you're struggling against someone running Prove Thyself alongside the borderline mandatory exhaustion perk and some wierd niche GenRush perks like Overzealous (which requires them to STOP doing a gen and cleanse a totem first for their bonus) when you're running slowdown, then I don't know what to tell you dude

  • @Seraphor said:

And UW can be blocked by Calm Spirit, as well as being proximity dependant (inside ther terror radius) and map dependent) killer has to find a locker to activate it.

Also, DR's "6m around every locker on the map" is greater coverage than UW's "32m around me", and can be situationally more useful, as lockers are often close to gens.

THE KILLER HAS TO FIND A LOCKER I CANNOT BROTHER

Also yeah run calm spirit that gutted borderline detrimental perk JUST IN CASE the killer has his press space bar for wall hacks perk on, how didn't I think of that

  • @Evan_ said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3642092#Comment_3642092

I don't think UW is a top-tier source of information - screaming tells the survivor when it's active, so they can run or hide as soon as their location is revealed, making the killer waste a lot of time on top of the activation cost of locating and opening a locker. But it's pretty great for tunneling if you can identify your tunnel-target by the scream.

On the other hand, 30 seconds Blindness on top of a not half-bad info perk feels disgusting to me, even though I only play killer. It's like budget Third Seal with ranged activation, and no way to disable. Sure it's not permanent, but it'll be there when it matters.

yeah man it isn't top tier information just press space bar on a locker then waddle 10 metres in any direction and odds are you'll get 2 loud noise notifications telling you exactly where people are and interrupt actions proccing stuff like dead man's on gens, not top tier info in the slightest right?

  • @KazRen said:

Calm spirit and hiding in lockers. There is also the fact that the killer still has to actually get you.

    you cannot be serious

  • @Venusa said:

I have to be honest playing survivor is quite unbearable at the moment and feels like such a waste of time. Every game feels like the same rinse repeat scenario. Killer tunnels someone out very early on and rest is just pain res. pop and game plays itself without the Killer having to try. I'm slowly switching to other games where my actions and skill actually matter.

I think I'm over debating perks as both sides will always have cringe that cycles in and out, case in point the MFT/Hope/Resilience meta for Surv. Sure every game now is Pain Res/Dead Mans/Grim/Pop but that won't be forever. The issue with the game right now is the overwhelming majority of killers tunnelling at 5 gens because it borderline secures a win and there's nothing that can be done about it, only gen rushing as fast as your team mates can if they have the brains to do that in SoloQ

  • @tyantlmumagjiaonuha said:

After 2022, there are more opportunities to feel comfortable playing solo survivor due to HUD implementation, Basekit BT, and OTR enhancements. Of course, it is not possible to escape all the rituals, but since it is impossible for either side to have a 100% win rate, I accept it. As someone who plays both Killer and Survivor, I have the illusion that the thread owner's argument is about a different game.

In the first place, the reason killers use tunnels and proxy camps is to reduce the number of survivors and reduce the speed at which they work on Gen, or to increase their ratings by executing as many survivors as possible. Scourge hook spawns are stuck at the edge of the map, and generators that should be kicked at PoP are far away. The reasons for tunneling or camping vary from match to match, such as not bringing a regression park in the first place, but with the latest patch, using a Gen Kick Park is significantly punished (or a glitch makes it difficult to kick a retreating Gen in the first place). There will be more and more camping tunnels in the future.

If you don't like that, shouldn't you equip OTR or create a build that won't be discovered before you get chased?

Nope funnily enough I'm talking about Dead By Daylight on the Dead By Daylight Forum. I play survivor as SWF and SoloQ and its miserable if the killer decides to just tunnel out a player at the start of the game. I play killer almost as much as Survivor and I don't brainlessly tunnel out people at 5 gens. The games are harder but by proxy more fun cos that's the funnest part about Killer; the chases and being looped, with the reward being winning a chaae. Not hooking someone and proxying/sprinting back to the hook as soon as you hear the notification and removing them from the game, as if a kills secured at 5 gens or 4 the game might as well be over

But blight changes didn't go live, both his iri add-ons got nerfed into the ground. Adren got buffed from D tier to A tier though.

OW doesn't even have a ptb anymore as far as I'm aware and leagues pbe is actually used quite well, people use and abuse the new stuff and it's changed. If something dumb gets through it gets hotfixed that day most of the time.

Yeah buy you get the jist of what im saying. People primarily use Beta servers for early access. And Blight has released stronger than he was in the patch prior which should never happen. Same with Grim Embrace

  • @ChaosWam said:

I'm more and more convinced PTB isn't there for actual input at this point. Just a bug-test and they decide what to change after regardless of any feedback or warnings about this stuff.

I don't think I'll ever participate in another PTB.

PTR on every game ever (League, OW, DbD) is almost unanimously used by people for early access to new characters/skins/game modes, barely ever any valuable feedback is given, hence how this PTR cycle, Grim Embrace SOMEHOW went live along with Blight changes. It's just full of people speedwagoning around on Billy and Blight and playing the new chapter character early.
