Why do you feel like BHVR doesn’t listen? It seems like they make lots of changes based on player feedback. For example, DS will be getting yet another change. People complained about the new HUD being to spread out and they fairly quickly made changes. There have been lots of complaint posts about match making and they are trying to develop a skill based match making. When did you start playing? If it was towards the beginning, would you not say it is easier for killer today than it was 4 years ago?

First post complains about DH not being used as intended. Third post complains about DH being used as intended. Lol.

I wasnt annoyed about them playing hard, I was trying to get the point across that learning as a new player and going up against a co-ordinated team must be extremely frustrating. Heck we know it is because we’ve all been there and it doesn’t help that 99% of the killers have not been balanced for swf.
Originally I thought the constant hook trades and hook swarming at the end were the reason for abuse but they were all tbagging before that happened so I guess not. I forget to add they made it out due to DS, guess I must have tunneled when they farm them off the hook in front of me at the exit gates. Thats one part of DS that isnt getting nerfed.
Yeah, going against them can be annoying even when you aren’t new. But the way you post it seems you blame them for everything you experienced. But try to remember what is there fault and not their fault. Adrenaline and DS are just perks of the game. Hook rushing and “heal tech” are mechanics of this game. These are balanced by the dev team. The people playing survivor are just using these because that is how they feel is the best way for them to win. Killers have strong perks too and use them to win. Killers have unfun tactics to play against that they use to win.
I’m not saying blame the devs. They are doing the best they can. They have to balance the game for both sides. They are trying to make match making better. But if it means I would have to wait 10+ minutes for a queue, I’d rather go against a team that isn’t the same skill as me, either way. Same goes for the survivor side.
A lot of things feel frustrating when you are just learning it. That is because we all have a desire to be good at what we are doing and have an unrealistic expectation that we will learn it fast and be better than average.
Yep, they may have been trying to taunt you. Turn off end game chat. You get better by playing against people better than you so you can learn what works and what doesn’t. I look at survivors that teabag and flashlight click as a potential challenge and way for me to learn and go after them. If I’m not in the mood to see teabagging or flashlight clicking at the end, I just get the end game collapse going and afk a couple minutes while they butt dance to their disco light.

- Try to practise Nurse who I was never amazing with, but very rusty now
- Get Midwich which is a hard map to get used to
- Full swf
- Get 4 bbq tokens, fresh hook everytime
- Chase a survivor at the end but get cucked by adrenaline
- Manage to hit this survivor as they close in on the exit gates, the other 3 of them at the exit gates tbagging me despite me playing "fair". Left every hook immediately and never hooked the same person twice
- Actually managed to get the injured survivor down at the exit gates
- SWF run to "heal tech" (another fun exploit....err I mean mechanic, totally doesn't need fixing btw )
- Manage to pick them up and somehow miraculously hook them despite the swf trying to bodyblock
- Trade a few hooks at the end as the swf swarm it and keep trying to bodyblock
- They make it out, all 4 rapidly tbagging as hard as they could
- Get heavily verbally abused post game, told ez and sworn at and called all sorts of names that would ironically get me banned from these forums if I was to repeat it (because the devs don't want to see it, but they've been perfectly fine with you getting the abuse)
You see how this must be for new players? you see how "playing fair" doesn't make a damn bit of difference? you see how there's literally no point to caring when survivors cry when you camp them?
I don't even know why I'm saying this I'm sure you've all seen it. It's a shame the development studio is too apathetic towards their own game to actually fix anything (because they don't play it, they don't experience this, therefore they could not care less) regarding the experience and then they just wonder why survivors are constantly crying about queue times - here's a hint, the queue time problems are you own doing. I'm used to this trash but a lot of new players are completely put off by it.
I completely agree the crap talk in end game chat is toxic. Ok, the teabagging and flashlight clicking is a little too. The rest of the stuff just sounds like them trying to win the game. I see how it is frustrating, but if their goal is to try to get as many of the four to escape as possible, why wouldn’t they hook rush and “ heal tech”?
if you want to play “nice” and not tunnel, camp, and slap the person on the hook, that’s your call. But you can’t expect someone on the other side to take it easy just because you think they should.
Turn the chat off so you don’t have to see it and just tell yourself the teabagging and flashlight clicking is just them saying thanks for the fun match. I think we would all be happier with this game if we did.

While survivor queue takes forever and killer always get instant looby.
Do you think there is some conspiracy at BHVR giving killers faster queues? There needs to be a 4 survivor to 1 killer ratio for queues to be even. If the ratio is 5 to 1 or more, survivors will have longer queues. It just means there are more people trying to queue as survivor than there are killers to be able to give them a match right away.
-
I think a comparable nerf to keys would be if they made it so only one survivor could escape through the hatch in a match. Doesn’t matter if it’s by key or being the last alive. I wouldn’t mind them as much then. Though I would say I did find old Mori way more powerful than current keys.
-
Just tell yourself hatch escape count as kills. Problem solved.
-
I played 5 or 6 games as Wraith. I’m decent with him so was expecting some hard matches. I 4k’d all of them but one I 3k’d because of hatch. I only thought one of the teams I played was good. They were more the type of squad that wanted to interact with the killer and prevent downed teammates from getting hooked. They got 4 gens done before I killed them but if they would have focused gens more they would have wiped the floor with me. It was an absolute blast going against them.
I got a Myers daily to sacrifice 2 people. I don’t play him a lot because I just don’t feel like I play him well. I played good perks and add ons because I know he’s not a strong killer for me. I don’t like to camp and tunnel if I don’t have to. It took me 2 matches to get the daily done. Both teams focused gens and they flew fast. I had to tunnel and camp the 2 I killed because I wouldn’t have gotten any if I didn’t. Wasn’t expecting that strong of opponents.
I played just a few survivor matches. I always play solo. I’m not as good at survivor as killer as I play a little more killer. The killers I faced quickly destroyed us. I wasn’t expecting MMR to place me against such strong killer players.

Yes, I’m going to ignore this.

Applying pressure early game is important. Learning survivor spawn points helps you get on them sooner. Whisperers is a great perk to help you with this but don’t get sucked into searching an area for too long if the survivor is hiding well.
Definitely need to to be willing to let some chases go. It is sometimes better to get one hit or one pallet thrown and broken then drop to pressure gens.
I don’t agree that slugging and camping are always mandatory, but there are times they need to be used to get a win.
Also you should define what a win is to you and realize you won’t and shouldn’t win every match.

I'd say the games where people are taking it seriously enough to be consistently working towards their objectives but relaxed enough to dick around and have fun moments here and there (either with their teammates or their opponent(s)) are the most fun, win or lose. Games where you can have a laugh or two along with moments of "wow that guy is a crackhead, well played".
Games where your opponents are just straight up unskilled and don't "communicate" (basically they seem like bots), as well as games where your opponents just steam roll aren't nearly as fun.
Do you play solo survivor more or SWF? If you are on one of those teams that is steam rolling the killer, would you slow down, maybe intentionally lose som chases and give them some hooks?
I play solo so I might be afraid I wouldn’t get unhooked if I did that so I’m not sure if I would sacrifice that much.
What about on killer? If you were destroying a team, would you let up and let them get a few gens done or just get it over with? If you were the survivor in that scenario, would you want the killer to slow up?

Bm'ing. Hitting people on the hook, nodding, flashlight spamming, teabagging. Insulting messages. Things like that.
When people go out of their way to insult and mock others.
What is considered Bm'ing I find to be objective. I completely get insulting messages. I also get hitting people on the hook as that really doesn't seem to do anything to advance the objectives of the game. Flashlight spamming and nodding I think depends on context. They could be doing it to annoy you just because they want to be toxic. They could also be doing it to get you to chase them or just have fun with them. I've been in a few nodding matches with the opposing faction while playing both sides that I found to be harmless fun. Problem is you are guessing as to intent unless they tell you directly in the end game chat or a message that they were trying to be toxic.
-
They put a post in the start screen about it. I saw it the moment I logged in. I don't think there is a single company that handles online information that hasn't already or will eventually have a hacker be able to gain access to their systems and players information. From what I gather the information isn't anything that can lead them to steal your identity.
Let's say they called you immediately after they found out about this? What would you have done? I think you are overreacting.

I try to be fun when I play killer but it isn't always appreciated. I was playing scratched mirror Myers the other night, slugged a few, hooked a few, no noed or anything - wasn't out for blood. One of the players was a streamer on twitch, and I watched the video. They seemed to have fun, but then the guy turned around and and started telling them he was obviously being streamed sniped because I seemed to always know where they were, yet never bothered to ask each other why I never hit t2. Like I said, it was fun, but I'll never watch playback videos again because he said some awful things and it just turned me off of the whole thing.
I've played scratched mirror Myers a few times. I had a blast. I've also played against scratched mirror Myers a few times. It was fun as survivor the first time, but after that is just seemed boring to me to go against. I just hold shift w the whole match and don't stay on gens very long so the game seems to just drag on.
I tried playing survivor today. It was so frustrating. Killers patrolling the hook at 4 gens left. Never taking a chase far from the hook. Tunneling one person out of the match as fast as they can. I wanted to dc every one. But also in the back of my head, they are probably like the majority of players, not intending for the match to be unfun but playing in a way that is fun for them.
Is that just the nature of the game? Only one side can have fun at a time? Only 1 or 2 of the 5 can have fun? Should we all just not care about the other 4 and just focus on our own enjoyment?

It seems to me you are saying if you get immersed in the game during the trial, you had fun. Do you feel those games that happened for you the other side had fun?

I think for me it mostly relies on skill level. The most fun matches I have ever played were ones where everyone in the lobby is basically of equal skill. It's bonus points when the killer isn't some horribly OP character and is a more balanced one (hillbilly, demo, oni, etc) and the survivors aren't using items.
How do you quantify or qualify that you are playing against others of the same skill level? Do you think how you play on one side you would enjoy going against if on the other?
-
I actually find it easier to win as killer than as survivor, if I’m defining my win as killer as 3+ kills and my win as survivor escaping (I play solo).
There are definitely some well coordinated teams out their that make gens fly but I don’t run into them nearly as much as I do uncoordinated solo groups. Good match making might change that. Also, continually playing, learning when it’s best to drop a chase to defend a gen, where survivors spawn, and best perks to to work with your play style all help too. How many hours do you have? Not trying to insult, just wondering why our experiences seem so different. I’m around 1500 hours.

I think I just saw a post about someone asking for shift w to be nerfed so running in a straight line will be nerfed too. Sorry.
But in all seriousness to @Pepaman , I’m not sure what your experience is but looping is part of the game. There used to be infinites in the game that it was impossible for the killer to catch up, but unless there was some unintentional consequence from a change, those are gone. As you get more experience, you will learn how to counter the different loops with the different killer powers and also how to run them to make it less optimal for the survivor. I’m sure there are some YouTube videos out there you could Google to give you some tips.

The response is:
If you can, tell the one being hooked to struggle until the end, rush gens and get out. If you get found next and face camped as well, do the same, buy as much time as you can for the remaining ones. Never feed the camper easy kills, make it as boring and uneventful as you can. If all do this, the killer will eventually change his playstyle or quit the game, out of boredom.
Why are you telling me? That's what I was saying the whole time.

Perhaps because you started your first post to me saying my advice is "BAD" rather than simply saying, you disagree and think they should do this? People will respond in kind. But again, I disagree. My advice is to make new Survivors into better Players in the long run. Bad Killers afford them time to practice all sorts of Skills. Good habits should start early. Free Blood Points are nothing to sneeze at. :) But you do you.
Sorry my direct, no bs response upset you.
3 survivors running around cleansing totems. Let's say I get two of them and one is a Hex. That's 2500 extra points. I also just gave the killer more time to find and face camp me, causing me to lose out of my 5000 escape bp. So I just lost 2500 points because I stayed to cleanse totems.

Well, as I said before, the other three should earn as many points as they can, completing different objectives Generators and Totems. They earn two different emblems and thus they will earn more points. The person on the hook should milk it for as much time as possible. Don't sac out early. Sometimes you eat the bear and sometime he eats you. You were the unlucky loser on the Price is Right. Hopefully he gets bored of camping and gives someone else a chance to get you. Normally, face campers that start the behavior aren't going anywhere though. They are losers. It is a sick sad word sometimes. Most Killers, who want to get better, grow out of it.
I do apologize if I sounded snarky or passive aggressive to you. I'm pretty direct. As you advance, it will be VERY important to do Bones. I give that advice now. Use extra time bad Killers give you to Generators AND Bones. You will profit in the long run, and the short run. You will earn more points and Pips, and be ready for when things CHANGE and suddenly you are facing Perks you aren't running into yet.
Then again, I say this is bad advice, especially for an inexperienced survivor. Do the gens and get out of the match.
If the killer is face camping because they are inexperienced, they will only get 1 to 2 kills and will learn the strategy doesn't work well. That is the reason it is less prevalent at higher ranks because experienced survivors do the gens and leave. Or they are good enough to pull off borrowed time, ds saves.
If they are doing it to be toxic, they will only be able to do it to 1 or 2 players each match they attempt it. The more time you waste in the match trying to earn blood points by doing things like cleansing totems, the less likely any of you live.
Also, what is the point of CAPITALIZING words in the middle of a sentence other than to be snarky? Saying things like "Should I get you a doll so you can show us where the bad Killer touched you?" is a direct comment needed to make your point or was a deliberate passive aggressive comment to try to insult?
-
@Moundshroud said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1609988#Comment_1609988
No, I'm not trying to derail anything. Should I get you a doll so you can show us where the bad Killer touched you? :) Face Camping isn't going anywhere. The conversation is simple, i.e. get used to it. Weather it. It gets less frequent as you play against better Killers. Those who camp lose points the closer they are to the hook, lose points as they aren't earning other emblems, and lose other kills as so many other people get their objectives and more will escape. Face Camping is a problem that takes care of itself.
I apologize if my direct, no bs, manner upsets you but those are the facts. Face Camping, normal camping, tunneling, slugging, and the Mori are basic Killer choices and none of them are going away. You will be relieved to know that Face Camping goes away pretty quickly as you advance, and so does Noed.
I'm not upset at all but with all of your passive aggressive comments in this reply I would say you are getting a little tilted. I have never once at anytime said I was upset about being face camped, didn't know what the pros and cons were to a killer that face camps or was inexperienced against face campers. These are all things you are assuming and trying to insult me with. Let me recap for you.
Some one said a face camper with NOED guaranteed 2 kills. You said NOED is irrelevant to the conversation because the face camper would need to leave the hook to use it. They replied the face camper gets one kill on the camp and another using NOED in end game. You said NOED is still irrelevant because a camping killer gives you time to "ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD to cleanse the totems". I replied that is bad advice, don't cleanse, do gens. You replied back talking about RUIN. I called you out for talking about an irrelevant perk after you told someone a perk was irrelevant. You double down and include another irrelevant perk "Hex Undying". I told you again the best strategy against a face camping killer is doing gens.
Let me ask you a direct question. Let's say I am an inexperienced survivor running with 3 other inexperienced survivors and I came to the forum to ask what I should do against a face camper. What would be your response?
-
@Moundshroud said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1609893#Comment_1609893
It is irrelevant. NOED has nothing to do with camping, except that Camping Killers give the other Survivors MORE time to do Generators (and potentially Totems). I'm pointing out they are apples and oranges as a topic. In regards to Hexes, Ruin is the MOST COMMON Perk you are going to come across as you advance which can be defeated by doing Bones. Undying is now in the mix, and it is ALSO a Hex which protects things like Ruin. Do you follow? Noed is a Perk that newbie Killers take. I haven't used it in forever. It isn't a good return on my investment. Playing with Noed is playing a Perk DOWN for most of the game. And just because you suddenly get Insta-Down doesn't mean you will be in a position to profit from it.
Noed is beloved by newbie Killers, but fades pretty quickly. It will become even MORE unpopular as Undying starts making the rounds. Undying will make it so everyone will kill any Dull Totem they find. If there are no dull totems at the end of the game, there will be no Noed. You need to learn to look at the BIG PICTURE, but that only comes with time.
So you are trying to derail the conversation about face camping by talking about perks that may be relevant in a non face camping scenario?
The only picture I should be looking at here is about being a survivor against a face camping killer and giving the best advice I can for inexperienced survivors who come across one, because that is what the thread is about. The answer isn't "Do Bones". That is dumb to do. Forget about bones and do the gens. Once gens are done, get a door opened and leave.
I'm beginning to believe you are a face camping killer intentionally trying to convince survivors that they should waste time and look for and cleanse totems so that you have more time to look for and face camp the rest.
-
@Moundshroud said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1609862#Comment_1609862
You think so huh? :) I never told them do Totems before Gens. I say DO BONES. Totems are also a game objective, and more often than not, how quickly you can do Generators is based on the Totems you cleanse. You can trust Red_Beard there and believe I'm giving you bad advice, or you can take it with a grain of salt that if you are facing a camper and have lots of time, do Bones along with your Generators. You get points for every Totem you cleans (they are quick and easy). And you might have the added benefit of shutting down Ruin, Noed, and any number of any other High Risk vs High Yield Killer Perks.
"more often than not, how quickly you can do Generators is based on the Totems you cleanse." Is there a perk I'm missing that let's you complete gens faster if cleanse a totem? Are you referring to Ruin? Ruin really isn't a problem against a face camper because it only regresses the gen if you aren't doing the gen. So if the killer is face camping, he isn't chasing you off the gen causing it to regress.
I like how the whole deal with you about NOED was it was irrelevant to the conversation for you to then talk about another perk that is irrelevant to the conversation.
You waste a lot of time searching for and cleansing totems. Every second you waste time not completing gens against a face camper is another second gained to him to down some one else and face camp them.
You can trust Moundshroud there and believe I'm giving you bad advice, but don't because I'm not.
-
@Moundshroud said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1609813#Comment_1609813
Again, this logic doesn't track. Why would a camper be MORE likely to get extra kills out of Noed? :) If a person is a camper you have ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD to cleanse those Totems. Remember, Noed only triggers at the end of the game, once all the generators are up. The Killer gains insta-down, sure, but you know it might happen. The Killer has no idea what Gate you are going to run to, and if they camped the entire Team is there to make saves and take actions.
People gripe about Noed for no good reason. You do know there are Killers that start and play the whole match with Insta-Down right? It isn't that big a deal. Noed is not the Killer's friend. It takes up a Perk slot, it may never activate if the bones are done or the gates never open, and just because you get insta-down doesn't mean you will catch anyone.
Camping and Noed are TWO DIFFERENT subjects and do not relate to one another at all. Please quit trying to imply that they do. If anything, a camping Killer gives you LESS excuse to whine about Totems because you had more time to deal with them.
That's bad advice. If you are cleansing totems, you aren't doing gens. Don't cleanse totems, do gens and get out. If they have NOED, it will most likely be a 2 kill anyway if you waste time to cleanse totems to avoid it.

I've been wanting to try bubba. I'm getting all killers to level 50, so I will eventually. Some killers just seem to be at the mercy of the survivor though.
This isn't to flame you, just pointing out that you saying you are getting all killers to level 50 tells me you are pretty new to the game. Getting killers to level 50 doesn't really increase their power, it just means you have gone through a few blood webs and hopefully you have gotten some good perks, though that is not guaranteed.
As with most games, it can be a bit frustrating while you are learning how to play the game as well as get through the grind to get perks that are helpful to you. I would just say be patient. Eventually you will learn how to counter the different strategies that survivors have.
-
@DeeJHansen said:
I loved this game when I first started. By now I have gotten a couple killers to 50 and am pretty close to red ranks, but the survivors I get matched with have changed.
I get body blocked often and it is the only thing that infuriates me. It often doesn't work out, because it usually has counterplay unless its done right. Here's an example.
Be me on Haddonfield while carrying a David.
Offering to space out hooks and offering for Haddonfield, of course.
Nea and Jake under the nearest hook and Nancy blocking the only gap in the fence to walk through.
Hit Nancy, she runs under hook and Jake takes her place, drop David, hit Jake, pick up David, Nea body blocks, David escapes.
Get teabagged.
Get body blocked several more times by healthy survivors in chase and get hooks body blocked by multiple survivors.
I am Ghostface.
Can't use night shroud when being chased and exposed constantly.
All gens done, have one on hook.
Bombed by three healthy survivors.
Hit one, try to chase, Nancy crouches in a gap looking up at me.
Hit her and she turns white, BT of course, watch as three escape.
Nancy begins to run away, count to fifteen and hit.
Downed but afraid of DS, exit gate is close enough for her to crawl to.
Stand by exit, pick her up at the last possible second, get DS'ed.
0k lol.
Free escape for poor tunneled survivor.
Get flamed.
GG EZ. Baby killer. Git Gud. Ur trash. Uninstall. #########.
Survivors can break the game by simply deciding to do so. Then of course they complain when you tunnel the most toxic one out.
Like a Claudette who followed me around on Bedham.
Exposing me from a distance, flashlight clicking, and rushing in for flashlight saves on my downs.
SWF of course, so chasing Claudette means 3 gens being done on the opposite side of the map while I chase.
Eventually tunnel and face camp her out, team falls apart for the 4k at 2 gens left.
This is the best scenario, but really, if we all played fair and right it would have been better for both sides, but some people are just gigantic C U N T S and that may be why I quit playing. The game isn't fun anymore because the survivors have decided that it isn't.
I've been having a lot of fun playing Bubba with Agitation, Iron Gasp, Mad Grit and a perk of your choice. I have been using Lightborn when there are flashlights, Franklin's if there are keys, and BBQ for bloodpoints otherwise.
Been so many rage quitters that try to flashlight save, I hit them, they back up a little more and try again, then I down them and still have time to make it to the hook.
-
Forever Freddy for me is the worst. It is boring holding m1 forever. Especially when I play solo and most my teammates hide all game and leave me to do gens.
Stridor Spirit is annoying, but at least is faster pace and more interactive.
Iri Huntress is op with someone that can hit shots, but goes fast.
I get a kick out of basement Bubba and laugh even when I'm the one hanging on the hook. Plus there is always the chance to outplay the camp and can be exciting.

This is quite annoying to go against, however I really don’t like being slugged just so a Killer can find the last Survivor. Its fair game that the last one is hiding, just like it’s fair game that the Killer is leaving me on the ground to bleed out. Both crappy strats, but effective.
But with slugging there is a four minute timer and the survivor will bleed out. That is why it is not considered taking the game hostage because you have a bleed time. Hiding for two hours, refusing to do the objectives is not remotely the same.

Needs to be changed/updated.
You only get 2 options when you review a player.
- Thumbs up - A player who may as well be a water-walker when it comes to this game
- He did something that violated community rules/guidelines so he's getting reported with the possibility of getting banned
There's no in-between. I can't "Review" a player negatively if their gameplay was terrible but they didn't cheat such as being left to die on 1st hook even though they had clearly enough time and safety to unhook me during EGC or the fact they refused to provide any significant contributions to the matchmaking that aids in escaping.
Plenty of players like that exist, so how come I can't give them the thumbs down and the opportunity to not play with them in the future?
I might offer, you can ask good players if you can add them to your friends list and build a team of good players every time you play.

I think the person who closed mine was pretty angry and wanted to defend the devs.
Your thread had a lot of developer bashing in it. It is fine to not agree with their choices and to express your opinion, but there is no reason to be rude.

There is a couple threads in Technical that got merged. Are you sure yours got closed or did it get merged? I think they all say closed at the bottom, you have to look at the beginning of the title.
I saw it. It does look closed. My guess is they decided multiple threads about it is not needed, especially when they announced on Twitter 3 hours ago they were aware of the issue and looking into it.

Why is this happening? What does it mean? What do you do about it?
My thread got immediatly closed, but I don't see any megathread on the issue either. Are we just not allowed to talk about it? Like seriously what is going on? I don't care if you're working on the issue, or know it exists. I want to know what the issue is even about, or why it's effecting my ability to even play the game.

Hi :)
I started playing a week ago after my brother asked me for years. I absolutely love the game so much fun however I get super anxious and nervous for letting my teammates down. I think its a girl thing.
I usually RPGs and Wildhunt + DLCs are my absolute favourites <3
Just know that there are new players out there that could get super sad if "yelled" at.
Oki take care!!
I say enjoy the anxiety while you can. Eventually it goes away because you've seen it and done it already and in my opinion, the game becomes less fun.

It solely depends on the reason the person doing the debated act is doing it. If they are doing it to annoy someone and ruin their experience, then I would say it is toxic. If they are doing it because they believes that is what they need to do at the time to try and win, then I would say it is their strategy.
You can never really know, you can only guess. But why guess. Why not just assume they were trying to win, say gg in the end game chat or don't say anything at all and move on to the next game. That response will work to your benefit in both cases. Either that was their strategy, whether you found it fun or not, and they were just doing what they thought they needed to do to win so you won't inadvertently accuse someone of doing something for a reason they didn't. Or, if everyone just said gg or nothing, those doing it for toxic reasons won't get the rise out of people they want and will eventually stop because the act will not be gaining the response they are looking for.

The hardest part about getting killer adepts is finding a group of survivors that don’t dc, don’t hook suicide and will save each other so you can get all your hook states.

I am thinking of the incorrect generator, though I'm not sure I get how a janitor closet in the office area is an isolation room compared to the lab area where with it looks like you would be containing something with sealed "isolation" doors.
I'll repair the other one.
Thank you.

yaawn boring. Who plays stealth in 2020 with more than 100 hrs, seriously?
I doubt making forum posts about how you don't like the way others play is going to change the other people. And it seems you aren't willing to try and adapt. So maybe it is time to try a different game.

it does make a difference. A ######### team wont do gens while I get chased for 4 minutes. A decent team will at least do 3 gens in 4 minutes.
Try stealth play and playing for yourself. Leave your teammates so you can get hatch.

I sympathize with your experience. If you are new and haven't seen, there is an MMR system being implemented to try and match people with others in similar skill level. It just came out so expect a little time for the system to be tweaked to make things better.
As for moris, it has been stated by a developer that BHVR is planning to make changes to them. No information has been given as to what or when just yet.
For tunneling and slugging, these are game play mechanics that while they can be frustrating to deal with, are mechanics BHVR has stated are legit and nonpunishable. There are a number of perks to help counter such game play such as decisive strike, unbreakable, borrowed time and I'm sure some others I'm not mentioning. Also, as you play and get more experience, you may become such a skilled survivor that it would be a detriment to tunnel you.
Good luck in the future and I hope your experience improves.

New players are the life blood of any game - of course they are going to change it as they are the ones being shafted most. Whether those changes will be enough that remains to be seen.
Again, I'm not quite sure the point of this post.

But the fact that it is as bad as it is as often as it is is still an issue, a serious issue for new players.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1520420#Comment_1520420
Fair argument, although I would say at the job someone would be next to you telling you what you did wrong. If survivors lose a game in 3 minutes they don’t know what they did wrong, if a killer gets caught in a 5 gen chase against a super good looper no one is there to tell him he should have dropped chase and found the weak link.
I don't agree with this. Especially about video games, there is tons of information out there to help you learn. The reason I started playing this game was because I saw someone play it on Twitch and it looked amazingly fun. When I bought it, was I great? Absolutely not, I was horrible and got my butt handed to me many times. Still do an occasion. Did I quit? Nope. I watch streamers to get tips, I read forum posts, I asked questions in end game chat. That doesn't mean I've never been frustrated with the game, because I have.
Most people don't start something new and expect to be great at it from the beginning. Not everything do you need someone there to hold your hand for you to learn. But if a few people expect that, play DBD and quit immediately, I don't think that is going to be a huge detriment to the success of DBD. It also doesn't mean Behavior will not adjust it and make changes to improve the system and experience. It appears they are already looking at making tweaks and it hasn't even been live for a week.
They had to make a change because the community was asked for it. With the old MM system, they would restrict it so you were matched with people closer to your rank and people would complain how long it took to get a match. Then they would loosen the restrictions and people would complain they get matched against people with too large of a rank disparity. Now they are trying to implement a change to fix those concerns and because it isn't perfect from the start, people are saying no one wanted this change to being with. They can't win no matter what they do.
Edit: Fixed typo.

Scott made videos prior to the MMR implementation - when it was just being discussed.
Problem is if Scott can see the issues beforehand why can't the devs. No thought seems to have been given about protecting the ranks 20s from rank 1s. Split killer MMR without a higher base rating is silly - switch killer and a rank 1 can play rank 20s.
Do you follow stock analysts at all? Half of them say the stock market is going to lose points, they other half say it will gain points. The side that was correct always says "see, I told you this would happen". Then all of the people that follow them say "see, he told you this would happen". Funny though, I rarely see them step up and say they were wrong when they were.
A large part of the community was asking for a change. Just because one content creator (or a few if you want to tell me there were others) say they don't think a proposed solution will work, doesn't mean they shouldn't push out new systems. As a business, you cannot afford to never change. You also can't wait until each change you want to implement is perfect, because it never will be. But you should expect that whatever system they put in has continuous improvement. In not even one week of the MMR system going live, it seems based on what I have seen from a couple moderator posts, that they are already working to improve the system. One week. That is an extremely fast response to a new change.

So not to pile on, but more to ask a question. I think the majority of people are in agreement that MMR is really messed up, even a mod seems to be saying that the devs are finally looking j to it. Despite that we still have a few in every thread saying, “it won’t be perfect it’s new just wait and see.” To see how stupid that is apply it to a few other games...
Imagine you walk into a basketball court for the first time, you’re 6 years old and you have a team of five friends. You go against the local college team and they proceed to beat you 100-0 does that make you wanna try again, wait and see, or does it make you decide to try something else.
So to throw a completely invalid, hypothetical situation your way, lets say you just started a new job. On your first day, you don't know how to do the work and the person trying to train you has to fix almost everything you touch. Do you quit?
My guess is you feel frustrated you aren't picking up on it as fast as your expectations about yourself make you think you should, but you stick it out and learn and gain experience to where you perform at a satisfactory level of your employers expectations. I'm also sure this took more than a week.
I mean, if you quit every job you've had on the first day, how can you afford to buy DBD dlcs?

I have just seen Mandy's response in another thread as well.
Of course they are going to fix it - because its broken. And it will remain broken if I can switch to killer I rarely use and stomp noobs (which isn't fun at all).
Scott brings up good points and had the foresight to know that this wasn't going to work the way BHVR intended.
I'm not sure I understand the point of this post. You have confirmed BHVR has identified an issue and is working to fix it. So you are happy they are working on it?
Also, this video is after MMR so I'm not sure what you mean by Scott had foresight. Scott is neither the game director or development lead of Dead by Daylight so they are not obligated to do anything he feels they should do. That said, there is no proof they never take Scott's feedback about game issues and use it to make changes.

If that is the case. Is the system better or worse now? Because the forum is flooded with MMR complaints. Only positive is that MM has been a lot faster for me.
Sure it needs time to settle for everyone but if the system allows for rank 1s to play vs rank 20s then its broken.
I didn't see high ranks vs low ranks, on either side, as much before.

It might need a little more time than that. Mandy_Talk and Gay Myers have already stated here and at the DbD Steam Forums today that the MMR is not working as intended, and the Dev team is looking into why it isn't working right.
So, at this point, we're on the BHVR timeline for any fixes, and probably fixes for those fixes, before we can even begin to determine if MMR is a net positive for DbD.
So there you go. According to Kilmeran, forum moderators are saying the new system is not working as intended and BHVR is working on fixes. Not even a full week into it and they already are working to address it. That is a very fast response in my opinion.
Also, not sure why my phone deleted my post that Kilmeran quoted.
