Here also, another tournament, 2022, with a more up to date game state.
GRAND FINALS | Swish's DbD Tournament 2 | Competitive Dead by Daylight - YouTube
Again, game is balanced around survivors with restrictions. Blight overperform while Spirit is struggling...
There was a tournament with no restrictions not too long ago.
Killers did fine.
You aren't facing anything close to comp teams in pubs. If you think you are, you need more experience.

You have two videos in my previous post.
You can also check team oracle vs Truetalent or Dowsey, old version of the game (old DH) but only single perk use restriction.
Can't wait for you to tell me True and Dowsey are bad players 😂
One of them doesn't play anymore and the other isn't good.
I meant your games.
Pretty sure Tru3 sought out Oracle and didn't tunnel. He just wanted to prove a point that Wraith was good, iirc.

There are way more impossible trials in pub than in tournament as in pub there is no restriction for the survivors.
Prove it.
Show us some gameplay from one of these impossible trials.

@UnavailableName said:
What is funny is that everytime we talk about balance, most players here are comparing the results of multiple trials, do the average and say "as you have had 4 losses and 6 wins, it is balanced" 😂
Ye so the matchmaking give you impossible trials and ez trials, when you mix their results your kill rate is 60% so it is balanced... is that really what you call a balanced game ?
The matchmaking is balancing your kill rate but the game is unbalanced.
A good trapper will loose against a good SWFs pretty much 90% of the time unless the player uses a cheap mechanic (camping/tunneling).
0 hook for one of the best clown in the game :
We played against the BEST CLOWN in DBD. - YouTube
Top Wesker vs Best Survivor Team In The World - YouTube
You guys that think the game is balanced around good SWF vs good killer are in a huge denial and you should think about your definition of balanced.
Getting 10 wins - 3k to 4k - and 8 losses - 0k to 1k - is just a proof that the game is unbalanced and that the matchmaking is coded to give you games you cannot win and games you cannot loose to artificially give you a 60% win rate.
Uh, yeah. That means you're properly placed in the matchmaker.
DBD is an extremely snowbally game. It's not often a trial ends in a 2K. It's more likely to end in a 3+E or a 3+K. That's just the nature of the game.
If you get 5 4K's in a row and then a couple of losses, that means you're right on that edge. You're getting people better than you, or at the same skill level but sweatier.
There aren't many impossible trials in pubs. I'd once again love to see your gameplay, but as it is now, it just seems like you refuse to play macro.

Nope, gen rushing means gen rushing, with or without items to help out. Solo-gening without healing when injured is already gen rushing.
MFT + Resilience + Hope remove almost all the threat of staying injured the whole trial.
And btw, Resilience is a gen perk.
Being beaten by average loopers just because i have played fair means the game is unbalanced. Being beaten by 4 good loopers is a thing, being beaten by 4 average survivors just because the global game design is bad is another matter.
Solo-gening without healing when injured is already gen rushing.
WHAT
Being beaten by average loopers just because
It means you aren't playing macro, at all. You can have crazy good chase but still lose because you refuse to play with any macro or strategy at all.

I respect your opinion, but the comment is ridiculous.
Freddy needs help, myers too, trapper too, PIG too, despite the stats, you know what's better than the stats? A player who has been playing the game for 7 years (ME) and I assure you that those killers are destitute, it is very easy to say that all the killers, despite the statistics, all have a good kill ratio, when really in practice I play a lot with them, and at least it makes me want to uninstall DBD, because I can't do much with them, the players I mostly get are good, and I assure you that catching a good player with a pig is impossible for me, Freddy has many lacks in its power, a power that is too outdated and quite badly planned where it can be improved in many aspects to make it more fun and more used, but hey, the community has an orientation on statistics and I assure you that it is not everything.
What percentage of DbD's playerbase is "good"?
Should those Killers all just be buffed to compete with good players and just have them totally curbstomp average players?

I never said he wasn't. I'm just so absolutely bored of facing nothing but him. This game has other killers too. Let me face them. I've played 4 SM matches. I'll gladly face her more if it gets Wesker off my list.
The game has few other Killers that are fun to play as and aren't outrageously strong and are relatively easy to pick up.
-
I'd say just pause Infection after an unhook until Survivors do a conspicuous action or use an item.
-
You can have everyone's SM matches.
Thankfully, seems like people and BHVR got the message that nobody is gonna play against SM so she needs to get fixed ASAP
I understand being bored of seeing a certain Killer a lot. But wesker is a GOOD Killer.

The fact that you get less value from those perks if you tunnel. For example, if Grim Embrace activates while there are 4 survivors alive, you get more value since you are wasting the time of 4 survivors. If you tunnel, the perk would probably only activate while 2-3 survivors are alive, causing you to gain far less value. It's also easier to find survivors when there are more alive. The only perk that killers can run to help tunnel is Deadlock and tunnelers already run that perk.
But you still gain from it even though you tunneled someone out.
You don't need it to do a lot when there's only three people alive.
-
Killer has been business as usual. Easy with the occasional challenge.
Survivor has been BAD. Maybe it'll change after the Event is over.

The person who made this list seems to only include the highest winstreak for each killer, so if we don't exclude outdated winstreaks, we wouldn't know what the highest winstreak that's still applicable for the killer is. Think of it this way, if someone got a 500 winstreak with Huntress with pre-nerf Iri Head, I don't really care since it was broken and no longer possible.
That's....hmmm.
That's a good argument, actually.
I don't think the streak should be completely invalidated, but perhaps a post-Eruption section would be wise.
What about streaks that were started or active during Eruption but continued after?

The difference was that Aryun didn't use Pinkie Finger while the person in the streak did. I don't really consider a Pinkie Finger streak on Clown as a real Clown streak since it changes the killer's identity too much. Playing with Pinkie Finger is like playing an almost entirely different killer. It's like running Tombstone Piece on Myers vs no Tombstone.

I think it's fair to exclude them if it was so different compared to today that it's no longer applicable.
I do not.
Put a section detailing what patches they were playing on.

The soluton is to buff not tunnelling to normalize the strength between the 2 strategies then nerf killer to bring it down to a 60% kill rate. The only way to fix tunnelling is to normalize the strength between tunnelling and not tunnelling. As long as tunnelling is significantly stronger, killers will keep doing it.
Eruption was busted on only a particular set of killers, particularly ones with high mobility and could hold 3 gens well because they could easily setup Eruption on multiple gens and get minutes of gen stall on each down. On other killers it was a good perk but not busted. For example, if you ran it on Myers, you would waste time kicking 1 gen, waste a lot of time getting a down, and Eruption would maybe hit a survivor. It was ok. Killers were still tunnelling because Eruption only good but not busted on most killers.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3480345#Comment_3480345
But if you manage to tunnel someone out at 5 gens, you already won. PR made no difference. PR + No Way Out is just an example. You could make it Grim Embrace + No Way Out and the killer would basically get 0 value from these perks if they were tunnelling.
If they're basekit, what's to stop them from bringing perks to help while tunneling whilst still getting value from thos effects later in game?
-
@adsads123123123123 said:
Do these players exclude any maps for these winstreaks? Also, some of these winstreaks are old and should be excluded. For example, the Nemesis winstreak was done pre-Eruption nerf and the guy was running a perma 3 gen build, which would be impossible nowadays.
I don't think it's fair to discount them all together but maybe put an extra note next to them.
It's unreasonable to expect people to get long streaks on a single patch.

If you have 1000's of hours dedicated to one killer, like most on that list do; then yes, you can definitely do high streaks. It's also what time of day you're playing and the region as well. I imagine most regions are like mine, where there are times of higher density and therefore; easier matches in general. I wouldn't say most but many players are not very good. I think you'll disagree with me on this as well but I do believe time played = skill, generally speaking.
I do not have thousands of hours on any particular Killer.
I would generally say that time played does correlate to skill, but there are numerous exceptions. For example, my highest Killer is only P13, but my highest Survivor is P100.
Despite this, I've probably played 3.5K hours of Killer and 500 of Survivor. People's experience may not be immediately clear.

It would have to be a significant amount of time as well considering they are winning a ton of games in a row.

Occam's razor is not the same thing as proof. It's just a guideline for people to be aware of. You're misusing Occam's razor, by claiming it's as good as proof.
And no, I don't need to prove anything. It's perfectly reasonable to question whether or not streamers will make preparations off-stream, so their on-stream content is better, and would therefore be more likely to generate revenue.
Questions are fine.
Once again though, they mean very little here because all we can say is, "Maybe they do, maybe they don't." You have no proof that they do, I have no proof that they don't.
I suppose I'm not sure why you brought it up. There really doesn't seem to be much of a point.

You really do like throwing catchphrases around, don't you? That's not a correct use of Occam's Razor.
When a player is a streamer, that literally makes money off of people watching their games, then yes, it is valid to question whether or not they spend extra time off stream lowering their MMR, for the sake of "better streaming content".
And WE don't "already know that the MM is really bad". That's a YOU statement.
Ultimately though, I'll ask you to prove that those people lower their MMR for "better streaming content"

Agreed but hwr3s the problem we swapped an injured meta for an alternative injured meta
It's the same thing we saw in 2018-2019 after the first healing nerfs.
Healing becomes worse, Survivors decide to push gens until healing is more viable. Spine Chill, Resi, DS DH was the meta back then and I distinctly remember not being happy with it because I was a new Killer at the time.
Same thing now. MFT, Resi, Windows and Hope or some variation of that.

I'm not going to make an argument for the MMR to be well designed. But consider this, You're a new streamer trying to break into DBD and you're making youtube videos where some of the counts are being done off stream. Your playstyle (and player level) indicates you probably have somewhere between 2-3k hours logged in game. Using Occam's Razor, what's more likely? You're going to go 100 wins in a row with a mid-tier killer against any team or take 10 minutes to reset MMR? If that person is getting matched against survivors with 10k hours you'd have to explain how he's managing to do that. I'm not naming the individual but I am thinking of someone on your list.
I can appreciate assuming the best of people but let's be real. If athlete's could use steroids to assist with winning they would. Internet clout aside, there are DBD streamers who make their living just off of playing the game. There is more incentive for streamers to do this then there is not to.
This is very difficult to talk about without naming the individual, I'm discovering.
It's possible some people do this, but I know for a fact most of the highest streaks do not involve MMR resets at all.
Also, I'm decently sure I could get 100 wins in a row with Wraith. I did 35 earlier this month and @JPLongstreet watched some of those games and commented on the...lack of good Survivors. (Also, sorry to tag you into this mess)
The fact of the matter is, to me, that most players who play DBD aren't good. If you apply any macro gameplay at all, most teams will lose outright. To me, if you take a good player and give them a Killer they've truly mastered and then use DBD's MMR, it's not surprising that they can go on these streaks.
It also, conversely, explains why Survivor streaks are so difficult.

Stats from 2018 or 2019 when it was a niche game. The game playerbase has changed + higher your MMR is, more SWFs you will face as it is easier to reach high MMR with a SWF.
So if you are a good killer, you will get 80% wins when you start to play the killer then you will reach a good MMR pretty fast.
If you play when there is the +100% bonus on killers, you will face more SWFs.
That, of course, assumes that the matchmaker places high MMR against high MMR.

With lots of experience it is easy to answer those types of questions. For example, i can say that probably one of the main reasons legion has a very high pick rate, is that they have the ability to max out the bloodpoint gain in 3 categories, without getting a single hook. Pretty much unless you completely mess up super terribly, you are all but guaranteed 30k bloodpoints. They are the easiest character in the game to farm with.
They also have fire cosmetics, great and unique chase music and they are fun to play as.

Why is your tone so hostile? Really argumentative fella, eh? You can watch streams of players with 5k+ hours and see them getting paired with players with far less on the regular. It doesn't require internal data to notice something isn't right. Unless you're saying our lying eyes are deceiving us I'm not seeing your point.
I live to argue.
But yes, you are missing something. Occam's Razor.
Which is more likely, a streamer with 5K hours who streams DBD for 8 hours tanks their MMR off-stream by playing for another 4-6 hours.
or
DBD's matchmaker, which is notoriously bad, continues to suck.
We already know that the MM is really bad. It makes no sense to blame people for dropping their MMR (which we have zero proof of) when we know the MM sucks.

Momo's streak was all consecutively, iirc.

I doubt people who stream DBD for 8 hours would play DBD for another 8 hours off stream.

This is a competitive game and people will do whatever gives them an upper hand if there's no risk associated with it. I haven't named anyone but I have had streamers tell me they did it (whether the MMR change was the intention or not).

get hit ..... hold W , idk what else to say really . you gain 24+ seconds by running in a straight line and if you barely reached a loop ; there you go MFT value for free , you were injured , just 99% your bar.

I personally as survivor or killer I find the perk really boring to use or go against but thats just my opinion i guess.

There is no reasonable reward that would ever be as strong as tunneling. Even if you were to give the Killer an entire extra gen as a reward, it would still be worse than tunneling. You cannot reasonable incentivize people to not tunnel."
I have to disagree that no incentive will ever be enough to stop killers from tunnelling. Pain Res and No Way Out are 2 of the best perks in the game currently (https://youtu.be/q3YNmVPmIeY). If you made these 2 perks base kit, the majority of killers would probably stop tunnelling.
More likely than not, they would find a way to optimize and tunnel while still using those perks.
Heck, you can still tunnel someone out at 5 gens and then use PR for the rest of the game.

Whatever it takes to give the killer the feeling that they have an extremely likely chance of getting into a chase with a different survivor, if the killer leaves the hooked survivor.
Remember that BHVR is expecting killers to leave a hooked survivor, which is a survivor that the killer 100% knows the location of, and there is an extremely likely chance that some other survivor will eventually show up to that exact spot. If BHVR expects the killer to leave that situation, then there needs to be an extremely likely chance the killer can actually get into a chase with a different survivor, as an incentive to leave the hooked survivor.
Well, at least one of us is trying to come up with ideas.

Slur: "an insinuation or allegation about someone that is likely to insult them or damage their reputation."
You calling them an ass is literally a slur, so that's where it's coming from. So be upset with yourself if you want, it was your actions.
You're not "playing like an ass" unless you're doing something with the express intent or sole effect of causing the other players to be miserable. Playing something because its strong and wins or is your best option does not fit into that category. Even if a side effect is some people get upset at it.
Yeah, that's a swear not a slur. A slur is what you hear in a CoD lobby. You're choice of phrase was intentionally picked to evoke a reaction.
Yeah that comes off like a massive excuse. "Oh, sorry I four man slugged til bleedout, I was just playing to win, oops you're fault that you had a bad time"
Nobody is stopping you from tunneling off of first hook. Nobody is stopping you from grabbing 3 friends and slamming out gens in 4 minutes while t-bagging at the gates. You can play that way and be completely within the confines of the game.
