I just came out of a game against a squad with TWO ppl using that combo. All still alive at end game, one guy hooked. Squad comes to unhook, I go for a trade (nothing else I can do, with hook grabs removed), but my trade gets instantly revived by the combo, and all run out (3 x 10s endurance!), butt dancing at the exit. What am I supposed to do there? Other than "kIlL ThEm BeFoRe EnDgAmE, duh!"?
There is no counter play, it's a free 4-man out at this point. Bc WHOEVER I down, they will be revived instantly! It's actually insane, way more potent than DS ever was, and OTR could have been. At least I could ensure a trade there, but with THIS?
Then your issue is with a 4-man using it.
I use it alone or in a Duo, like the vast majority of players.

Deactivate it in end game, and I'm fine with it. But right now, it's a free escape in end game. DS and OTR were changed to deactivate in end game to not grant such a free escape. But then they change buckle up and create this busted combo, reintroducing a free escape ... for TWO players at once! Whoever greenlit this should be fired, honestly!
I don't agree.
I have found some use for it in the Endgame, but I hardly found it to be on the level of DS or OTR.
-
Honestly, I quite like it even though I've used it in situations that were almost certainly unfair. First perk I've gotten death threats for using in a while lol
It's probably the best anti-tunnel perk right now and it feels wonderful to be able to stop someone from being removed from the game.
I haven't really had it used to any real effect against me due to how I play, but I can imagine it's just as frustrating as getting tunneled out.
-
Completely removing any balance discussions, you need to stop playing if the game upsets you this much.
You should not be taking things this personally.

Ahh... thats why people say all the time that <500 hours is still newbie players and that the game starts at around 1500 hours. When you finally have played enough to unlock everything.
So motivating for new players! /s
For real, something needs to change. I wouldn´t start this grind as a new player and i doubt others would feel motivated to.
Yes.
I mean, genuinely, how could you be an experienced killer player if you haven't even had the chance to BUY all the Killers, let alone master them.
Like you said, somethings gotta change. It's only gonna get worse.

Someone said that the Predator, if added to DbD, would hunt the other killers. I was talking about that, not game balance.
You literally said, "Survivors are 10x stronger than Killers"

Why is your comment about me personally? How about addressing the topic instead of other forum community members?
I'm just saying, the Entity holds killers back so that survivors actually have hope. If killers were actually strong, survivors would feel hopeless and the Entity would starve. That's the reason survivors would be fair game for the Predator, not just other killers.
You turned something that wasn't even remotely about balance into "Killers are soooooo weak"
Even from a lore perspective, Survivors also get extremely nerfed.

The survivor role is 10x stronger than the killer role. The Predator has every reason to want to hunt survivors.
You just could not resist, could you

Nobody is playing 1500 for a single character
It's like you didn't read my post.
1500 hours to unlock every character is egregious. Especially when you'd have to spend 100s of dollars to buy them otherwise.
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
Why should it be easy to get characters for free? It makes sense that it takes awhile to get paid content for free
It's 1500 hours.
That's way too many.
-
Indeed, I've brought this up in the past.
Every level is about 300 Shards. To gain a level, it takes about 7 games.
9000 Shards / 300 Shards Per Level = 30 levels
30 Levels * 7 Games Per Level = 210 games for a single character.
I seem to remember PC doesn't get Huntress, Hag, Doctor or Nurse for free.
So, if you play on PC you'd need about 8000 games to unlock everyone.
210 Games Per Level * 38 Unlockable Shard Characters = 7980 Games
For Console:
210 Games Per Level * 30 Unlockable Shard Characters = 6500 Games
So, on Console where there are less characters we'll do the math first.
6500 Games * 13 minutes (Average Trial Time) = 84500 Minutes Of Gameplay.
84,500 Minutes / 60 Minutes Per Hour = 1408 Hours of Gameplay
For PC:
7980 Games * 13 minutes (Average Trial Time) = 103,740 Minutes of Gameplay
103,740 Minutes / 60 Minutes Per Hour = 1729 Hours of Gameplay
So, yeah, Shard gain is rough and it's not realistic anymore. It was fine when there were 12 Killers, but we've got too many now. You are forced to fork over hundreds of dollars in DLC costs.

This I am aware of but @Pulsar seems to think that would change with console only queue which is just a queue with crossplay turned off.
Cross play off excludes you from every other console and locks you into playing with only other people who have also selected crossplay off

How am I against QoL for console players?
You asked for a Console only queue which would just be the same as turning off crossplay.
Console-Only queue.
Meaning, you know, ConsoleS only. PS4, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5.

Just turn off crossplay and you'll have console only queue.
Why are you always so against decent QoL for Console players?
-
They need to do one of three things.
Add a Console-Only queue.
Add proper controller settings like just about every other game on the market.
Allow us to use a M&KB

they should buff ace's ace in the hole perk that nobody uses to pull iri and purple add-on's for chest looting builds. I was surprised at the consistency of pulling those perks.
The issue is that a lot of purple and iri add-ons aren't worth using over green's and yellow's.
BNP's, Gel Dressing, Abdominal Dressings and Syringe's are all good.
Things like Odd Bulb are bad, so is the Crystal Bead. Blood Amber without Prayer Beads is useless. Wedding Ring isn't super good either. Weaved Ring and Milky Glass are okay, but only on a particular type of Key.

okay, this just feels like unnecessary hate.
her power is god awful yes, but nothing is even rlly that bad about her besides a wonky wall break anim and a “lackluster” Mori (despite it being lore perfect). there’s effort put into her, just not smart effort.
Besides her visual design, which is mostly personal taste (except for mask, no excuse for that)
Her animations are all bad. Not a single one of them is good. Her walk cycle is just the epitome of horrid. Her Mori sucks, especially compared to Knight and Singularity.
Her sounds are all horrendous. Every single one of them is a huge step down from Knight, the Killer directly previous to her. The sounds are all extremely annoying. Not even Artist's noises grate my ears that much. Her chase music is a half second loop that sounds like Ghostface's washing machine music we had a while back.
Her Kit feels rushed and hastily put together without proper testing. Her design feels rushed. So, like I said, it's honestly worse that there wasn't some extenuating circumstance that caused them to need to push out a Killer quickly. That means they had plenty of time to see these issues or make her better and they didn't.

I get it, but a lot of people in circles like we run in forget we're in kind of a horror silo. FNAF is massive among Gen Y/Z horror gaming fans, but isn't going to mean anything to most people beyond that. Maybe more once the movie comes out, but we're not there yet. Heck, even among gamers at large, most didn't grow up playing FNAF and watching Markiplier vids.
Franchises like Alien and yes, even F13, just have way more brand recognition, and have a better chance to attract people who might not ordinarily play these sorts of games, and from multiple age demographics.
That's not to say FNAF wouldn't pull people too, but it just doesn't have the same pop culture weight.
If I had to create a tier list based on license "size" and recognition, if something like Alien is S tier, I'd have FNAF as like C tier, or maybe B.
All of this isn't to trash FNAF so much as it is to highlight what a massive get Alien is.
Yeah, I don't know why my fellow Zoomers haven't moved on from FNAF like I did.
-
If she isn't, it's honestly worse.
Means they spent a full year on that Killer.

i know but they said it's two licenses with big L we will get, obviously there's probably no horror franchise bigger then Alien. But FNAF is still big L, every person knows it.
Oh it's a big L alright

It's a stupid rule.
Standing by it.
-
It's not to the point of it being overpowered, just that it's better than comparable perks, items or Killers.
Overtuned just means it needs some adjustments eventually

Yes the Wraith was salty, but Survivors arent just skins. The Survivors are different in how loud they are. For Example if you play against Steve you can hear him very well, when he is injured. An Ace you would heal at all.
Also new Survivors can have Soundbugs and the rule prevent the abuse of this. (Even if no one abuse something in this Situation).
Nic Cage is one of the loudest Survivors
-
Nobody plays cross play off.
I wish there was a Console-only queue but even if you turn Crossplay off, it locks you to only your own Console iirc.
So no PS4-PS5 games. You only get matched with your exact system.
-
It's probably a bit overtuned, but I hardly consider it a concern.

I'll show empathy, but being disabled doesn't give you special privileges in my book. You don't get to suicide on hook because you don't enjoy the killer. At the end of the day, there's four other players in the match with you who are hoping to play out a full game, and suicide on hook early ruins the game for them entirely. The DC button already exists to cover this; it's an intended feature which discourages disconnecting from a game but it is an option. Exercise that option instead of looking for loopholes.
Holy ######### worst take.
Genuine disability? Doesn't matter, YOU MUST PLAY REEEEEE
Reminds me of the flashlight clicking debate. "If you can't handle randomly strobing lights and flashlight macros that are completely preventable, you're fault, don't play DBD."
-
There's a large part of me that wants to see the absolute shitstorm that would happen if it's FNAF and me being right in the middle.
Butttttt, I do kinda like this game, so I suppose I'd rather not see that.
The dream is Stranger Things 2 though. I don't think anyone would have a problem with that

Say that to the people who play Ada and ace and they are quieter.
It may be a dumb rule, but the rules are pretty plain. They broke the rule. Sure, change it, but you have to follow the rules that were set when the tournament was played.
I didn't say that it wasn't a rule, just that it was a stupid one.
Cage isn't exactly quiet lol. That man talks. It's pretty clear that it wasn't for a tactical advantage. Maybe if a Survivor that's quiet comes out, re-implement it, but for now, it's a dumb rule.
-
oh god, the super freddy lunge

Yeah, that's a dumb rule.
They should change it. Survivors are skins, makes no sense.
Also, the Wraith seems absolutely uber salty, tbh.

And make the problem even worse in the process. Bots aren't a substitute for real players.
How about instead of allowing free ways out of the match we actually hold players acountable for queueing up? I can only repeat myself but if you don't want to play the game, then don't play the game.
Bots are legitimately better teammates than 90% of players. If you lock people in games, they aren't going to play.
I would rather play with/against a bot than against the average DBD player. I might actually have some sort of a challenge.
-
Considering how intricately you seem to know the game, I am not surprised you've won all your games. Even if we disagree, you've never struck me as someone who doesn't know how to play the game at a very high level, probably higher than me.
I think, unfortunately for SM mains, she's rather like Bubba. Yes, it is possible to play a different style of SM. Is it viable? If you're a good player, anything is viable. However, her strongest strategy is so easy and intricately tied into her Kit that it is likely impossible to separate the two without gimping the character massively, once again, like Bubba.

Moreover i play killer at high MMR as well and my win rate might be around 50% because the MM feeds me with bad or average players from time to time.
But when i face a good SWF, the game is unwinnable even with Wesker (i do not play Blight or Nurse - games were too easy and those killers need a huge nerf).
That's just what i say, good survivors are way stronger than good killer.
The fact they refuse to aknowledge that is unbelievable for me, i don't think i evolute in the same league that those players DbD.
If you're barely winning 50% of your games, you aren't high MMR, it's mathematically impossible.
Likewise, high MMR lobbies don't exist in any real form. Saying, "I'm high MMR" means nothing. It has no bearing on the skill of your opponent.

Remove DC penalties for DC's.
Add penalties for hook suicides.

In the same post :
"you do not need gen regression perks to win, you need to be better than your opponent"
"you play META perks while the killer does not so he lost"
You say everything and the reverse at the same time.
So mindbreaker, POR, Eruption, Gift of Pain, Bamboozle, Pop, Sloppy, Jolt are not META perks ?

I thought the game was balanced ? That's what you say everywhere is see you commenting. You have even said that gen regress perks are not needed to win.
And now you mean the game is balanced only when using gen regression perks with a decent killer ?
Bad faith mate, deep bad faith.
I think you can win without gen regression.
You need to be better than your opponent.
Either way, you're strawmanning. Fact of the matter is that you were running vaguely meta perks and your opponents weren't, of course you were winning.
-
I'm not a fan of the "turn-your-brain-off" style of gameplay she has. I also don't like how she can have very unskillful gameplay while simultaneously requiring Survivors to manage a LOT.

It actually does. Anyone who doesn’t play those killers is putting themselves at a disadvantage. Let’s also not forget that in pubs, dumb survivors are absolutely the reason that most killers can win. That doesn’t mean that the game is balanced.
The game is balanced well enough at the moment.
