Heavy agree with these two. If I could add a third it would be Gideons. I feel like they are the 3 LEAST interactive maps in the entire game.

I wish I could aim with Clown. I suck so bad with his bottles. It's like they have a mind of their own the moment they leave my hand lol.

Have bhvr ever shared how map selection works on public matches? Is it a fixed % for every map or how does it work? Because it seems I always get the same few 3-4 variations during a session, I've been getting dead dawgs saloon quite often during my sessions.
I have to look up the source but I believe it was revealed at some point that not every map is in play at all times but more like a pool of realms that rotates. This is why in a single session you may see the same map multiple times.

Sounds interesting. I wish there was room for shadowborn though :( I hate default FOV

So like, am I insane, or did they accidentally increase the spawn rate of Midwich? I swear, like, a third of my matches over the last week have gone there. I've been seeing it disproportionately more than any other map.
I thought it was just me. I also have been getting it every couple of matches along with Ormond and Thompson House. I legit had to check after a while to see if it was because of offerings and nope, just RNG.

One of the more often critiqued parts of DBD is the grind. BHVR themselves said that they are thinking about making the grind more easy and less frustrating. I do not have a solution that would completely fix the grind, but I do have an idea for a new feature that would make the grind faster and would bring some sense to an otherwise (almost) unnecessary aspect of the game.
My Idea is the Prestige 3 Blood web collapse
Here is what I am thinking. As soon as you hit P3 lv 50 on your character, you will have a new button in the middle of the blood web ( just like the prestige button). You can not use this button until the entity gets active in your current Blood web(So basicly u have to take at least one perk or a couple of other thinks to get this button active). As soon as the entity steals at least one perk, item, add-on or offering, you can use the button to "collapse" the bloodweb. This will force the entity to consume all remaining perks, items, add-ons, and offerings and you will get a new blood web. This will save you a lot of bloodpoints at the end of the grind since you can skip spending all your blood points on stuff that you don't want. I think such a feature would be quite nice for the game since it is easy to make, easy to understand and it would bring some actual value to prestige a character.
Please let me know what you think of that idea.
PS: I am not a native English speaker, so i am sorry if i made a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes.
this is amazing

I have yet to get a single survivor condemned. Tv's just respawn to slowly and survivors can remove it easily. I had one game where two survivors didn't even get a condemned ring for half the game because they just ignored tv's and i didn't manage to teleport near them.
I had one, while he was inside the exit gate, and then left. It's the most useless mechanic I've seen them add in a while. I genuinely was asking myself why they even went through the hassle of coding it if it wasn't going to have a meaningful impact. I don't think it should be so oppressive that it happens frequently throughout the match, but it should have a decent chance of actually occurring. I would have almost preferred a reworked version of Demo's power, with him being out of the game and all, where you get a shred like, super quick, creepy crawl attack at a survivor. As it stands, there is little incentive to play her and very little reward.

If the numbers are dropping across the board, I think it would be a combination of things.
The new player experience is really bad and the game probably struggles to retain new players. There's a significant financial investment just to unlock the privilege of grinding the perks. And the grind is obscene. On top of that, SBMM was supposed to provide better matchmaking for newer players, and it's definitely not doing that.
There's no way for a returning player to catch up. If I took any substantial amount of time off from the game, I don't think I would ever come back. There would be too much to grind. Taking a year off puts someone 4 DLCs worth of grind behind. That's 4 characters on each side to unlock teachables on, and then those teachables need to be learned on any other characters. You don't get any BP bonus for coming back after time off. That's a weird one.
Third point is related to the first two, and I know I keep harping on it, but the grind is terrible. The bloodweb itself is an absolute slog. Getting 2 million BP for rank rewards is almost a punishment because then I have to sit there for 10+ minutes mindlessly clicking on a bloodweb. Not only that, but we're forced to spend BP on stuff we don't want and we'll never use in our games. What game does that? It's asinine. This whole progression system needed to be scrapped years ago.
The current meta is really bad. People say they don't want DbD to be competitive, but most of the things people complain about are the blatantly non-competitive RNG and casual elements. People (rightfully) want a solution to facecamping, stacked slowdowns, lack of engagement meta for survivors, etc. It's not clear what this game's balance target audience is. You have a mix of fun perks for a casual environment and more competitive perks for a serious environment, but every player gets thrown into the same queue and often nobody is happy about it.
Last point: I get the overall feeling that the game doesn't really respect my time as a player. The grind is one thing, but there are many other things that make me feel this way. There are a lot of maps that render certain killers near useless i.e. Blight and Lerys/RPD. I get teammates with 1/10th of my hours in solo queue who proceed to throw the game within minutes. A killer like Bubba can down me and simply stand in front of me on the hook. I have a full-time job and a limited amount of time to play games. While I love this game and want it to succeed, I've found myself asking if this is really a worthwhile way to spend an hour or two of my evening. Why even load up the game for a round or two of Blight if I'm going to get an indoor map or get teammates who bought the game yesterday?
I couldn't have said any of this better myself. This is exactly how I feel. Especially the final point. There is zero reward for being a long time player of this game and zero incentive for a new player to stick around. One of my friends got the game recently and simply trying to explain everything he would need to get perkwise, and how to get it, felt overly complicated and would require so much playtime from him that if I were in his shoes I would run, not walk, far far away.

An offering you can put on which prevents the random choice of each map. Which can only be overruled by map offerings of course unless a sacrificial ward is provided
I am super on board for this and it would be good for tracking purposes so that the devs have an idea of what maps are being avoided the most

I will clear something up here....the area on the Dead Dawg Saloon that's been discussed in this thread, is not bannable, or reportable so please do not waste supports time in this. The killer can also reach the survivors in this area.
With exploits, we do list on the report page (as linked previously) which ones we ban for.
And yes, people are banned for various cheats/hacks etc - it's just that as we don't allow threads here of that nature, you don't see the complaints and we delete the ones that are here for various reasons. Steam also, we also close threads on this subject.
And whilst you might have heard some streamers say "bhvr doesn't ban cheaters" I'll respectfully remind you, that these people do not know our processes and does not know our team of ACM's who do these bans. It's just a rhetoric that gets thrown around.
EAC gets updated to block cheats, people find a way to get around this, then the updates happen again - it's sadly a vicious circle.
you guys could just hit the killswitch on this map until its fixed since a lot of people don't know how to get up there as killer and it wastes considerable time. You yourself have said you like quick matches and to get to the next one. This is preventing that.

Yeah I’m glad you can see where I’m coming from. I also understand the killers POV. I think that’s why many players have left because of the mmr changes and things like that. but hopefully you get good games too!
love your name btw Mileena is bae!

I play both sides, but I consider myself a survivor main. I enjoy it more cause I get to play with my SWF most of the time. Even when I’m not swfing I still enjoy solo que from time to time. But I’ve noticed (today at least), that every match it’s the same thing: nurse or spirit with ruin, undying, tinkerer, BBQ. Almost every killer we’ve gotten camps if even ONE gen pops. Aren’t you tired of just babysitting the hook? There’s no more variety in this game anymore. It’s just the same 3 killers with the same build all the time. These are the types of killers that think they’re good for running the build I mentioned above. It’s funny to see them shake their head when they down someone and hit on hook only to see them get 4 escaped and watch them be embarrassed at the end. Every game is the same…. It’s just sad. This is why there’s so many SWF teams out because solos don’t stand a chance against it. Can you blame SWF?
I definitely get it, from the other side, but i get it. I don't understand the camping thing, especially with the build they are running it isnt cohesive or beneficial.
There is very little variety for both sides honestly. Survivors keep running into the same few killers with the same builds and killers keep running into the same survivor builds and an increased use of map offerings making things incredibly unfun for them as well.
Both falls on the devs and their lack of innovation with the game and the flaws within the main mechanics not to mention their constant "Oh, this is an issue? Cool, heres a perk for a band aid fix if it really bothers you."
At least you have friends to talk to in chat to make it more enjoyable because on the killer side or solo q its just increasingly unfun and uninteractive.
Sorry you've been having a rough time and here's to hoping for fixes, not perks, in the future.

there are no maps that "basically delete the killers power" there are just skill curves that need to be overcome. Go watch CoconutRTS play Huntress on Lery's. He still makes the map work because there are ways to play around the tiles that favour Huntress. Billy still has his insta downs and can flick at corners. Trickster with ricochet knives is absolutely disgusting on indoor maps. Trapper can still place traps in spots that will force survivors to leave the loop or pallet if they spot it. There's no shortage of ways for killers to preform on a map that is bad for them. And I think people who blame bad matches on the map are just making excuses.
At least the other reply to me made a decently valid point about builds. Maps can hinder builds if they specialised for a certain type of map. But that's not the killers problem, that's the builds.

Hi, I really love the RPD Map! Unfortunately it's nearly unplayable for the most killer included me. I thought after a certain time I would learn where the gens are and how I get up or down. But it only got slightly better. But I think it would be a shame if the map had to be adjusted and the originality could be lost.
What do you think of adjusting the generator times for such extensive locations instead the map?
That would give the map creators more freedom for future larger maps.
Ya know, I'm usually against increasing gen times (cuz doing gens is so boring) but I actually don't think this would be a bad idea for all larger maps that are too big to pressure. Maybe not an incredible increase but something to compensate for the devs not taking gameplay into account at all when designing them.

learning to play killers on maps they're bad on is part of the learning curve, and it's what separates the good players from the best players. So I don't think killers should influence map rotations.
Playing on maps that basically delete the killers power doesnt make them better at that specific killer. It might make them better at figuring out how to run tiles like a standard m1 killer, but it wouldn't make you a better huntress, billy, etc. Specifically, with Huntress, you are still hindered by being a 110 killer so it makes being reduced to an m1 killer extra rough.

I'm on your side, but that doesn't help either of us. BVHR designed this killer without testing him properly (again), taking map design into account (again), and how the game is played across all levels (AGAIN). It's actually kind of impressive - this is cartoon levels of absurdity.
The way I cackled at this because its so true

I love playing as him just because he's him and I love hellraiser but he definitely needs some tweeks

ya know, i can take a lot of bugs from bhvr.... but this shadowborn bug atrocity is actually where i draw the line

His M1 is completely bugged
