DS isn’t how we stop tunnelling. We need in game methods that don’t require perks and incentives for killers to avoid tunnelling
That being said 3 second DS is useless

This is what I have been saying as well.
They should killswitch her and rework her completely. And then bring her in a new state with a Refund-option for those who dont like the reworked Skull Merchant.
BHVR would never kill switch a new killer. We saw this with knight who has 2 pretty game breaking bugs with neither warranting a kill switch
I’m betting the merchant changes are done for now and she’ll settle at a decent kill rate due to her 3 gen potential and low play rate
-
Counter argument: Clown exists
-
Wraith can usually avoid lightburn for and easy waste of battery.
Nurse’s burn might as well not exist with how rare it is
Artist can basically ignore it since trying to burn a crow makes you an easy hit
Hag is the only one who gets really affected by it. If we remove her ability to camp with traps I’d be fine with removing the burn effect
-
Seriously the gen kick meta has caused nothing but issues. We need to go back to perks like Pop which are better for the health of the game

The remake model was 100% a reference, but for sure not a direct port. There are notable differences in the face and overall body shape. (excluding legs because of BHVR needing to downscale Nemy)
As you can see, the "stitched" eye is more covered with no visible socket compared to DBD's, and the chin is more defined.

Yeah that is strange. Other than that it’s a 1:1 recreation so I’m not sure why they bothered
-
As far as I know nemesis’ model would ported from the RE3 remake (obviously scaled down a bit)
But yeah Chris looks a bit off just like Claire used to

Bhvr won't backtrack their horrible mistakes, take a look at billy, its all you need.
They did on eruption just recently and have on spinechill as well. It’s possible

Why would you encourage this?
3 gen games can go on for as long as 1 hour. Some people don’t want to spen that much time in 1 game especially if they an already limited time to play

Dont worry. Call of Brine will get "Hex:Ruined", you know.
I don’t mind since I don’t use it. I just want pop buffed again tbh
-
Because FOMO works otherwise there would be no point in doing it
-
I like the buffs but her most effective playstyle is still 3 genning due to the strength of COB and Overcharge.
She has more chase potential now though which is nice
-
I do care about others fun. As killer I don’t tunnel or camp and as survivor I’ll seek out totems or chests if we’re clearly winning
I find it more fun to play that way and it generally gives more points per game

No, I won't consider that it isn't fixable; because to my knowledge, this is the only online multiplayer game where this is even a major consistent issue. For it to be unfixable would speak to a level of ineptitude that seems outlandish even for BHVR. If it were unfixable, maybe they should stop trotting out statements on Twitter about how "they're investigating it", if they have no intention of fixing it.
It can also happen on every platform, so it isn't an issue with Steam specifically.
People shouldn't have to constantly have a VPN going to avoid having their internet knocked out for playing DBD.
GTA online has the issue much worse from what I know anyway

But they were getting better for a while but I agree lately its been bad. Though infinites are a whole different level of problem because it literally makes the survivor invincible.
We’re they? Eyrie rework was alright but otherwise all the maps have either stayed the same or got worse

I see many people say Shadowborn gives you a bigger range to get flashlighted.
Is there a video of this somewhere?
It wouldn't be the first time the community was convinced of something that wasen't actually true
Flashlight blinds are based on your field of view basically. If you increase it it increase the angle which you can be blinded
It’s probably leftover from when shadowborn used to make you more vulnerable to flashlights too
-
The new animations look better but I miss your character’s item actually looking heavy. They just swing it around like they are holding nothing now
-
That sucks :(
Thankfully I’ve never experienced anything like this but this is why a bleed out feature is needed. I know some people think it will be abused but if it means not dealing with things like this I’m fine with that
-
I can hardly see this being unless it’s on midwich or maybe gideon.
Otherwise it’s a inefficient albeit annoying strategy that most killers can counter

Also tierlist placement aside, the thing about chase music to me is that it's supposed to increase the tension of the chase itself, you're not suppose to jam out to it nor is it supposed to sound like a song you'd listen to outside the game. That's why chase music that loops repeatedly like (SM, Dredge, Myers, Hag, Doctor, Sadako, Ghostface and Pinhead) or almost repeatedly (Nurse, Pyramid Head, Hillbilly, Spirit, Blight, Twins, Trickster, Nemesis, Knight, Artist and maybe also Clown) fits the chase aspect more in that regard.
Wesker and Legion's chase music imo fits the characters themselves, however the music fits more as songs rather than chase music and that's where the problem comes in.
Wesker's music is not chase music, it's boss music that sounds like you're suppose to fight someone rather than run from. Legion's chase music is as mentioned before, a song one would probably jam out to.
As far as Deathslinger goes, it does feel like chase music kinda but not entirely, i think the problem with it is that it's too long in length before it loops.
Slinger’s is too long? It’s like a 12 second loop I’m pretty sure
-
Wesker is by far the best
Trickster’s make me want to shove his knives in my ear drums

I just think it's harder to pull off depending on the killer you are facing and that the reward can be gained by other exhaustion perks.
If i was judging it just by itself, it would be higher. But for me, in the context of other exhaustion perks, i think it would go to C tier because of better alternatives, making it obsolete imo.
Basically, i wanted to put him at lower tier because of the other exhaustion perks.
I can see that but when judging perks it should be judged in a vacuum for the most part (unless it’s like premonition when it’s literally a worse spine chill)
Just because SB and Lithe are good doesn’t make smash hit bad
-
If it’s a dc then fair enough but I’d play the game out if not
-
Killer can definitely suck at times. Don’t get roped in thinking you play at “high MMR” though. Matchmaking prioritises queues so you are basically put with anyone
For killer I just focus on archive challenges and doing fun builds. It’s not worth stressing over getting a 4k or winning since that will only make you burnt out and frustrated when you don’t win
Make sure to play survivor as well. It can give you perspective on how to improve your killer gameplay and is generally less stressful too

I think it had to be David in the trailer because Jeff would have recognized Frank and not gotten shanked in the ribs.
Jeff is one of my favorite survivors, I'm going to focus on leveling him up. I like him just being a humble dude who likes art and rock'n'roll, makes him one of the most sympathetic characters to me. Maybe he'd be more popular if BHVR gave him a shirtless cosmetic like David, Vittorio, and Renato.
I'm also a fan of Adam Francis, he's my other favorite. I like the survivors that feel humble and grounded, regular and relatable people. I'm grinding shards to pick up Zarina eventually too.
Jeff probably wouldn’t recognise him tbh. They had 1 interaction and that’s about it
-
Smash hit is definitely weaker than other exhaustion but still B tier at least. It guarantees an chase escape or a huge amount of the killer’s time wasted catching up
-
How often do you genuinely see spine chill? It’s purpose is to know when the killer is looking at you through walls so you can make a play before they get there.
If they already see you then the perk is useless

There are still chase points to be had, the idea you guys are trying to to put out there is false. Anyone can look avg. chase points vs that and see that people still leave with a substantial amount.
There’s already too many items on both sides. It’s not an issue they can and will solve anymore so no harm done
Wrong, loads of harm is being done.
The Healing Meta is crazy right now. Survivors don't need even more points for Medkits.
Generators are flying by I am seeing BNP very often and twice a game. Survivors don't need even more points for Toolboxes.
Survivors have enough for now and for a long time.
If you’re seeing them so often how I’ll more points make it worse? Any survivor worth their salt has all the items they need to be sweaty
The healing meta is stupid but that’s why we nerf medkit not keep survivor points low to “reduce” the number of medkits
-

Come on now, not every down is gonna be a caging and Killers are allowed to be different too. That's what makes the game fun.
More points for no reason that isnt earned is bad cause it isnt earned by playing and engaging the game.
Plus if will give Survivors way way way more points to buy things on the bloodweb with. No thanks to that.
“Killers being different” is no excuse for certain killers just not giving chase points
There’s already too many items on both sides. It’s not an issue they can and will solve anymore so no harm done
So you’re saying being chased and dodging Victor isn’t engaging with the game then?
-
@Emeal said:

wow a single killer not playing the game has invalidated my point so anyway, yeah. Engage with the Killer to gain bloodpoints.
Pyramid head invalidates unhook points
Twins invalidate chase points
Plague invalidates heal points
Why are you so against more points in general? Literally nothing bad can come from this
-
Agreed and it’s the reason I’m playing more killer at the moment.
Every killer needs a score event which adds to survival points. Dodging hatchets, Dodging rushes, Dodging blinks, Setting off hag traps while she’s chasing someone else etc
You should also get altruism for each teammate that escapes the match say 1000 points
Solo gens are the main one though. 1250 is too low and needs to be 2500 imo
-
I’d be fine with a 20-30 second cooldown. If you are kicking gens in between that you already know where the survivors are
They are watching in complete boredom as you patrol your 3 gen
-
Blindness is already super useful. Windows is used in like 20% of builds and denying WOO users their perk makes them run around like headless chickens from my experience
-
Condemned slugging sadako is why
-
I’m overall against this. It wouldn’t really fix the issues that hag and trapper face
Trapper’s traps are too easy to spot and avoid while hag’s can’t chase without hers and gets hard countered by COH. Haste wouldn’t really help hag since traps are disarmed only by flashlights or when you are carrying a survivor where haste is menial
As for trapper he just needs a more reliable way to get traps (from lockers) and grass needs to be reverted
-
Bond and Enduring
I like swinging into pallets and knowing where my teammates are
-
Yeah more or less. Scourge hooks don’t really add any new gameplay just more RNG and shadowstep is the only boon I’d consider balanced
-
Yes. All haste bonuses stack in game for both sides
So she can get pretty high speeds when done right
-

SWF really needed that buff...
/s
Literally the only use of them is stacking it with blood pact and playing on a 2 story map to abuse it. Not fun for either side tbh
-
Yes I’m weird
-
I think boons are done for now. They were a good idea on paper but only 1/4 is actually balanced

She will still be oppressive in a 3 gen, just different execution.
You put down 1 or 2 drones. Replace when they're hacked. The claw traps need to w key away, otherwise they render nearby drones unhackable (yeah, I bet someone at BHVR didn't thonk that one through). The haste effect makes patrolling the 3 gen and hit'n'running even easier. I'd say sloppy becomes meta on her now.
Ehh she’s no more oppressive than a knight or plague tbh.
It’s really a perk issue now as it always was
-
@Caiman said:

Drones no longer reset the batteries in the update.
My bad I missed that part. Either way the traps last quite awhile and there is even an add-on to make it longer so she’ll still be a threat in chase
-
The removing of claw traps had to be axed otherwise you could hold her drones hostage easily which would be super unfun for her
-
@Zeidoktor said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/368337/my-thoughts-on-merchant-changes
If I understood correctly, it's not 3% Haste per Claw Trap but 3% Haste per tracked Survivor, meaning Survivors in active zones also count
That’s true and makes her drones even better anti loop tools. It’ll stack with her geographical readout and prototype rotor (which is now purple) as well
She’ll actually be like clown and Freddy in a way now when using the right add-ons
-
@GannTM said:
I might give her another shot. I really hope this can tone down her 3 gen potential but make her stronger in other aspects. Seems like they will, I like the changes.
She’ll be mediocre at 3 genning now I bet. As I’ve said before the perks are the main issue and how she synergise with them but now she can’t always have drones up for info
Knight on the other hand….
-
@AMOGUS said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/368337/my-thoughts-on-merchant-changes
These changes are indeed amazing, but my only concern is that Survivors now lose Traps automatically, which can make it harder to gain value during a chase since now there's a timer to get value from them.
But... hmm, maybe it won't matter.
Drones reset the batteries so if you can keep them in a loop you can easily keep the trap on until they are forced to vault giving you a free hit in most cases
-
No one expects the enduring huntress who swings into every pallet

Yeah, that's not even dodging, that's lobby shopping.
This isn’t even regular shopping it’s going between 4 supermarket chains to find which one sells bread 12 cent cheaper
-
@Canas said:
If I see one or two survivors with a high prestige level I simply dodge the lobby. If even one of them brings a toolbox or flashlight I dodge immediately.
Do you actually ever get a lobby that suits your needs?
