You didn't have to play like a team…
Right now you need to do it, basically unhook before popping last gen, or try to delay down/hook to activate it.Before you didn't need to play around it at all and just play like normal.
-
Changing meta doesn't make sense, at least in how Patch 6.1.0 did it.
You just created exactly stale meta as before and some perks are simply needed for their unique effect. There is a reason why many of them got buffed back later…
You need to simply buff other perks to create more alternatives. Not really difficult imo…
Issue is most perks have simply effect you can't save with number changes. -

Sometimes I dont get BHVR, we got Killers who barely got anything to Kill with, who has to jump through 46 rules just to injure a Survivor and then we have Kaneki who just jumps in my general direction, puts his crosshair over me, Boom free injure! and then just jumps again lands near me as I try to escape, cancels jumps for no cost and downs me.
Like I clearly don't see what the developers see and I'm somewhat good at that, but not here, I'm blind as all hell.
I like the "he has free injury, but then just M1 killer"
Since when M1 killers counter hold W, ignore safe pallets, windows and you can't take protection hits against them…
For some reason he even has addon stronger than Bamboozle.
While his ability to injure is better than Legion with lower fatigue and one of best mobility powers in DBD. -

Ghoul has gotten three massive nerfs so far. Can we just start closing these whine threads?
Doesn't mean he got nerfed what was the problem in first place.
I really didn't have problem with his overall range…

Their power doesn't revolve around slugging. That's just how alot of Twins players like to play.
of course it does, it's simply always more efficient to try and get injury/down after you downed a survivor with Victor.
Asking Twins to always swap back, walk to survivor and pick them up instead of trying to snowball is same as asking Oni to always pick survivor after downing them with Demon dash. It's just not efficient…

Does franklins really matter? Like at all?
To some players more than others, on both sides. Most to those who actually used it, I think it was good perk for few killers.
I think the simply fact that it's not possibility to use is going to be relevant more. For survivors, because they can freely bring whatever they want and for killer because they know there is nothing to do about it (lobby with 4 items)…
Perk changes change behavior even for players who never used them, we have seen it several times in past.
For example if I am going to see lobby with 4 fog vials, there is no perk to fix the issue. I will either have to dodge the lobby, or simply try to end the game fast to get over it.
The fact that there is not even option to counter it with perk, is going to make it way more frustrating. -

As others have already pointed out, she needs a complete rework, which is currently in process.
Her old playstyle of simply pooping out a drone at a loop and getting passive haste while applying passive hindered on the survivor should absolutely not come back, if that's what you're implying.
Her rework is going to be in like 1/2 years…
While paid killer is completely useless, she definetly needs some short term buffs to make her somewhat viable to play. -
Sad thing is her second version was quite easy to fix in my opinion.
Funny thing is survivors give up against her even now, when she basically has no power except undetectable.

Well you assumed wrong, and the reason you held the assumption was back in this reply :

You wanted to dismiss my point of it being easy by saying "well you just play nurse, of course its easy"
You had nothing to go off but someones forum picture? Should I change it to meg or something?
Actually you know what? Im gonna do that right now.
Welp, it wasnt nurse. So point still stands its pretty easy still and no difference.well you just play nurse, of course its easy
Well, you assumed wrong, because I don't consider killers to be harder at this moment at least.
Funny you try to show off with match history, then don't even want to say the killers you played it with :D
I am Legion and Oni main, games were pretty much same to me. Oni is going to become harder in next patch tho, but not at the moment. -

Because no matter what killer I posted. People will find some excuse for their bias.
Post askedWhy people claim Killer got suddenly hard to play?
So its not really relevant anyways.
Another one by the way.
Didnt realize nurse had an O either. You mentioned me with additional list of games while I simply ask what killer you play. I don't care even if you have 100 wins in a row. Simply because it's not relevant. I was just curious who you did it with, when you have need to show it off.
I assumed Nurse simply by your picture… Don't really feel like playing hangman anyway. -

well if you need people i'm pretty sure reddit or the forum would join idk if they have a discord
if you want bp play the normal mode and if you want to compare chases with randoms you can do that on the normal mode or custom
this is just accessibility for it's own sake which is honestly just wasting resources that could go to something else
my advice to you is try making friends on Reddit and the forums or seeing if they have a dbd discord and asking there
this is just accessibility for it's own sake which is honestly just wasting resources that could go to something else
With how often we have changes on PTB that needs to be reverted, I don't worry about wasting resources…

Still easy by the way. Just getting started this morning/afternoon

in loops its just m1 killer, so just loop him
Since when M1 killers can counter safe pallets and leap in front of me for bodyblocks?
I also have yet to see Kaneki without Bamboozle, or addon for it (which is actually better than Bamboozle)
I am pretty sure it was always safe to drop god pallet in front of M1 killer. -
@terumisan said:
why? what would it accomplish? 1v1 doesn't prove anything balance wise and you can do it in custom so why add an entirely separate mode?
i'm not trying to put you down or anything it's questions that need to be asked since it's in the game already
To make it more accessible…
Sure you can do it in custom, but you need to know players who are willing. Also no BP.
I would personally like to just queue and try to compare my chase with randoms. It has nothing to do with balance, but I think it would be best way to practice chases. -
I may be blind, but I fail to see answer to my question.
Like if you claim games are still easy with Nurse, then yes…

Yep pretty much that lol.
I play myers only and will never run ability mobility killer because they have no soul in their chases.
I would say it's quite unique, I enjoy Blight after hugtech removal quite a lot, simply because you need to aproach loops differently than other killers.
Unless you play blight only to destroy pallet and then catch up to survivor…
My main is Oni, best of two worlds :D I get to play pure m1 killer and mobility nightmare. -

I'm not sure this is the "slam dunk" argument you think it is.
The devs have basically given killers everything they ask for for 3 years now. The only exception being gen kick meta levels of regression.
You can see that in the kill rates, the patch notes, the 60% target, and the devs literal words that they want the game to be unbalanced in the killers favor by design.
So what is there to wonder about when killers get buffed every patch for years to the point that their opponents literally didn't want to play unwinnable games anymore.
Survivors are complaining that the game isn't fun and being ignored, with some people burning out and giving up. Killers are getting buffed and instantly move the goal post to the next "big problem" because complaining has given them nearly everything they demand for years.
If you actually paid attention to patch notes, overall power level of killers got lower. We have seen buffs for specific killers, not killers overall.
You think killers are only buffed? Ultimate weapon gutted, Meta slowdown nerfed, Skully nuked…
But yeah, survivors never get what they want. lol -

Yes, especially for those Killers who did not use Franklins Demise before and will not use it after the Nerf. Sometimes people are acting as if Franklins Demise had a high pickrate or was a good Perk to begin with.
I think main aspect is going to be basically knowledge that you don't even have option to do anything about it.
Right now, for most killers I am not going to use Franklins, I use it on few like Wraith, or Hag. Issue is after the nerf, it's simply not even option.
If devs nerfed all anti-tunneling perks, it wouldn't change anything for me, because I don't use them. But I would consider that an issue, simply because I would not even have option to do so. -
and wait for when franklins get gutted and upcoming anti tunneling/slugging features…

-
I would love such mode and would probably play that a lot. I am too lazy to deal with custom mode and I want to play for BP…
Best would be probably to have players use no perks, while both need to play same killer… or make it M1 only
-
@Emeal said:
Like what would it look like? the more you describe the better BHVR might implement it.
Simple, you could make it no perks, or adapt 1 perk killer, 2 perks survivor.
Then first you play survivor/killer with count down down that let survivor start like 1-2 seconds sooner, then when survivor gets downed sides switch.
Whoever got longer chase wins. -
Yeah, I would definetly like such a system that is planned with 2v8 for every mode.
Like I am fully fine in playing 1-2 games on survivors before I get to play killer, definetly better than waiting without doing anything… -

majority of players
Let's specify: majority of killer players.
Not really, you think I enjoyed killers bringing me to indoor maps?
I just loved all those Nurses on Midwitch….I hated both, only difference is you have seen it done by survivors more, which makes sense.

True Wraith players are annoying with it when they zoom windows
Wraith is not special vault tho…
Special vaults are Kaneki, Legion, Wesker, Chucky. I don't think Vecna and Dracula counts for any of those.
-
@SkeletalElite said:
Bamboozle's faster vaulting effect does not apply to killer power vaults and the devs equate haste on vaulting with the speedboost from bamboozle, not its blocking effect, in this regard it is consistent.
I mean, not really…
I understand they don't want Bamboozle to change special vault animations, but Unbound happens after the vault. The trigger is vault action, which would be same as window blocking. It's not really consistent, they just choose what they don't want to work.
and you bet Bamboozle blocking removal from special vaults would have way bigger backlash. Unbound is not that popular.
-
lol, no…
Bigger survivors should stun killers for longer?
Smaller survivors should vault faster? -
Well, majority of players hated maps. So they are gone…
Hope it makes sense now. -
Well, it exists on survivor side, so I don't really have an issue with it on killer side.
Not like it was promised few years ago to fix audio differences…
-
It's broken since lights out event almost year ago…
I have submitted ticket about it on november, but still pending.
-
Yeah, he is first killer in history of DBD I actually hate to play against.
-
I usually just let killer find me, get last chase and die…
-
It would be pointless waste of time in majority of situations.
You can try to force Deliverance sooner instead… -
The game wouldn't really work if individual survivor was on par with a killer…

Wraith is an m1 killer who can counter hold w and body block you at many loops.
The only thing that makes an m1 killer an m1 killer is whether their power can down you and Kaneki's can't. He has to m1 you. Which means he is loopable.I just think it's false to act like "he is just M1 killer", when he doesn't act like one. His kit doesn't really leave tools to use against him. Also his vault can down you, so not sure how that works…
Wraith? I can force him to uncloack on every pallet and window, also body block him in door frames. Also very easy to take protection hits against. Healing perks and Sprint burst are also wery strong against Wraith.
Tell me exactly what to do against Kaneki in chase, because most players can only give vague (useless) advices.
In reality:- can't use windows (every Kaneki use Bamboozle, or he even has addon for it)
- can't hold W
- can't double back (he can fully cancel his slide for some reason)
- can't use safe pallets (he gets either free down, or at least 50/50)
- can't take protection hits
So I really want to know, what about his kit can be used to counter him. I can find something for every killer in DBD except him.
-
@Marzipan210 said:
Once he gets that initial hit he is essentially an m1 killer with high mobility and you can loop him like one. Think of him like a Legion that you can't hold W against. Checkspot windows and pallets before running in front of them to prevent giving him an enraged vault.
Yeah, he is not even close to being M1 killer. Legion is close to be one, Kaneki is far from it.
M1 killer can't counter hold W, safe pallets and body block you on many loops….
Kaneki is M1 killer like old Nurse was. Technically yes, but no. -
I simply play Resi, stay injured and just try to genrush him.
-
You really failed to fixing soft vs hard slugging.
Your idea actually works way better against soft slugging, because survivors are still free to pick themselves up and you need to actually down them multiple times for this to do anything.
Basekit unbreakable also just can't exist close and during endgame. Simply because slugging is the only way to get comeback in that situation.Another issue is survivors can do things, where slugging can be only thing killer can do. In that situation basekit unbreakable is terrible thing.
Then you also have killer that simply need to slug to be effective.
Another thing is slugging is kinda best thing to use, if you don't want to tunnel. When I know survivor is dead on hook, I prefer to simply down them and let them be to gain at least some pressure. That's not really going to work with basekit unbreakable.
You could make basekit unbreakable to work, if survivor was not hooked yet. That keeps some of the issues I mentioned, but to lower degree. But at that point, you would need to show killer hook stages per survivor. -

Well, my friend, last night I played a game as Skull Merchant on Léry's and there was this one Renato who disconnected right as he was about to get sacrificed, and in the end he complained about tunneling.
Now, I have no idea what he was talking about because he was not hooked twice in a row. In fact, at least two survivors were hooked before he was hooked again, twice.
I don't think this was fragile ego or poor performance in the game, Renato played well, but I have no idea what it was.
He may played well, but he still died and it's easier to blame the killer than trying to figure out what he could do differently. I would say that comes to ego, because it seems he consider tunneling the only way for him to die.
And really, DC when he is about to die in few seconds is very funny to me, simply because it doesn't make sense. -

Depends on what genrush is for you.
If that's simple efficiency, then no.
Tunneling is simple efficiency too…
@vol4r said:

It's not fragile ego.
It is just not fun to not be able to participate in a normal gameplay.
It's simply the outcome of dying quickly and trying to blame the killer for it.
I can agree tunneling at 5 gens is lame, but I would never DC for it. Why even DC when you are about to die?
It's not like there is nothing you can do about tunneling. I am usually more annoyed by my teammates than killer, because simply they don't know what to do about it. -
It would be definetly nice to see some reward, so far we get only punished for it (anniversary event) :D
-
Well, I think it's pretty funny. If player quit during the game for any reason other than IRL emergency, it's just sad. Learn to control yourself a little…
I personally try to wait to get someone out of the game at like 1-2 gens left, unless survivors really asked for it, or by accident…
Survivors who quit for tunneling, usually simply has fragile ego and their performance in the game did not back it up. -
@MDRSan said:
I'd be curious to see if they have internal data showing whether enough players even bother going back for their items to matter one way or the other.
Killer players are acting like this destroys the perk or something but in my personal experience few, if any go back for dropped items anyway. I doubt that's going to change all that much with this perk's update.
I play Franklins on Hag and I can assure you survivors go back for their item, or tell their friend to reset it for them.
If survivors don't return for their item now, it's simply because they know there are no charges left after their chase anymore, but if you leave the chase after hit, that survivor is going to return.
This change also definetly makes the perk useless. It simply doesn't do it's job anymore. -
Depends on the killer, it works well for killers who can down fast and you want to heal against them.
It's perfectly fine on Blight, Nurse, Spirit (very good here), also Oni… definetly some others
Issue is this combo can simply get survivors to stay injured and focus gens, where suddenly your 2 perks don't do anything.
I would say Gift of pain is better out of those two, so maybe just use Pain res with it instead it. I really like Compass, Gift of pain and Floods of rage, Pain res build. -
The issue is they need to please both sides…
Game won't really work, if many players from one side simply decide to stop playing. -
Definetly not, but I would like to see hatch simply spawn when all gens are finished. Not so game breaking…
Hatch has no skill involved and I never want to see it again during middle of the match. I still remember dealing with old key and that was not fun. -
I think Wraith is in pretty good spot, so I would rather not see any changes…
-
Going after freshly unhooked survivor even while presented with an alternative option (another survivor).
But I think tunneling is an issue basically when you do it from first hook… -
It was one of most broken things you could use as survivor, so I really don't mind the nerf.
You still can't be mindgamed with it, but at least killer knows to not even try. -
I don't think so, simply by playing 2v8… That's how no match making looks like.
Also when I tried to play with my sister (new account), it was very easy to see difference with killer and other survivors.
Like really, I don't think it's very strict and it can't be with how MMR works (just escapes/kills), but I wouldn't say it's not doing anything neither. I would guess it's kinda on par with old ranked system…
