Isn't this something that only affects the person using it? like only the person with the mod can see it while other people see the match normal?
I don't know anything about mods...
-
Same boat. I really miss that time when the game was Chaotic due to the unbalance state but it was more fun I guess.
Remember when we could 99 hooks? What a time.

I don't even have a problem with exhaust perks, the problem I believe lies in how maps generate tiles at times while shift+W being the counter to half the roster. I just see exhaust perks as a way to get to a safe tile, but it only gets worse when you don't even need to play the tile because there's 1-2 safe extensions beyond the tile you reach, especially when they connect to a strong main building or shack. All it takes is making the killer stop half a second at a pallet thinking you may throw it and you can just greed to the next tile's window/pallet.
I say this as someone who primarily plays M1 killers, for the record. I know M2 killers have the edge over this but that doesn't mean it's still not as issue.
Edit: Except Background Player, that one may be problematic.
I agree. The way maps are designed and the RNG factor contributes to making most maps not so fair and Badham and Chapel are a great example of this.
The Chapel it's consider one of the most balanced maps in the game but sometimes It can have a really bad RNG which makes the map favors the survivors. The main building gets stronger due to a strong window and connected loops and the shack may have a jungle gym on its side making a not very good situation for m1 killers.
Badham have many strong buildings and the whole map it's pretty much a safe zone with loops connected everywhere.
The exhaustion perks it's just a bonus that make this kind of maps busted while the problem is actually the maps, not the exhaustion perks.

Although I don't care much about BGP, reverting back to 150% wouldn't solve much since it was also very useful at that speed. This perk needs complete rework if killers want survivors to avoid it.
Buckle up and for the people can go.
Blastmine should be buffed in my opinion because it's just a perk to annoy killers and don't have much impact on a match.
Exhaustion perk should be reverted to its original state with DH and BL and recover while running ( just kidding ).
-
This wasn't even that fast compared to the first BNP that repaired a generator instantly.

By your story she wasn't trying to 3gen until there was 1 gen remaining. So who is at fault for there being a 3gen to begin with?
Also, what killer just throws the game once there's 1 gen to go? Of course she will hold that defensive position. Any killer would.
I understand what you are saying but if we take soloQ into consideration it is not very difficult for survivors to cause a 3-genning due to lack of communication.
Also no killer should give up even if defeat was inevitable. every killer can hold a 3-gen and it's true, the only difference is that there are killers which makes this strategy easier due to their power.
SM can hold the match much longer than killers stronger than her like Oni, PH and Wesker for example. they can hold a 3-gen too but not as effective as SM, Hag and Singu that make games more boring.
-
@FrenchBagels said:
While I do really, REALLY not like SM and think she has an immense amount of problems: 3-Gens aren’t really one of them.
What are her problems from your point of view?
-
@Yharwick said:
Singularity is miles better at 3 genning so by that logic there's no point in playing against singularity. She's literally no better at it than Hag that is to say above average but nothing overly remarkable.
You are correct, these killers can also use this strategy effectively, however, they are strong enough to not need to use it, so there are not many complaints about them regarding this.
Popularity is also a contributing factor as both are the least played killers in the game, I don't remember the last time I faced these killers or that they used this strategy even though they could.
I'm not saying they shouldn't be revisited in this regard but we know that the central theme of 3-genning has always been SM.
-
@GentlemanFridge said:
I don't understand how SM is better at 3-genning that most killers in her current state. She still has force you off the gens herself.
Every killer has to force survivors to leave the gen manually, it's true, but some have to make less effort for this to happen. a ghost face holding a 3gen will have to work a lot harder than an SM due to its powers. even stronger killers that are in the A tier like Oni, PH and Wesker cannot hold generators like her even though they are stronger.
-
l agree, nurse is a shell from the past and there's no reason for her to remain in this state for modern DBD.
She needs changes, but I hope not now. other killers deserve more attention, like Freddy for example.
-
The weak version of SM, hell no.
-
So Charlotte does nothing again... Great.
Still good changes l guess.

@SAWII said:
What exactly makes it overpowered/unfun in your opinion? Do you also think that the Legion’s and Deathslinger’s powers need to be changed?
The fact that it makes pinhead the best tunneler in the game with this addon?
-
I actually quite like the indoor maps due to their visuals and more variety of different loops compared to the same tiles in outdoor maps.
I think the reason people don't like indoor maps so much is because most of them are licensed, which can make it difficult for BHVR to balance the maps without changing the essence of it too much.
I really wish we had more original indoor maps like lery's because BHVR wouldn't be so limited in creativity.
-
Not really. Sadako seems to be a lost cause because she will either be useless or too strong due to condemned. The First Sadako wast to weak and the Second was too strong ( SoloQ issue ) and then they tried putting the two versions together, which didn't work out very well in my opinion.
It depends on how people want it. a killer faithful to the lore and fun to play but weak or a strong killer not very fun to play against if it depends on the strategy we all know. I find it very difficult to make both things happen in a way where people won't abuse.
-
Dark theory in its current state is not worth it. It's the only Boon that only has 1 effect compared to others and need a buff.
Since in theory it's a chase perk and I'd like to keep that theme. my buff would be:
• give 2,5 haste ( survivors movement 4,1 m/s )
• give 10% vaulting speed
• show the auras of Windows and downed pallets in range of the totem
Now this perk would be decent.
-
This combo is something that BHVR should keep an eye on because the problem seems to be the collision that doesn't seem to exist sometimes. I've seen some clips of survivors crossing the killer even though he's looking at the wall. This is something that shouldn't happen.
-
Let's put the theory to the test first shall we? before getting into a conclusion.
-
But It doesn't work when the exit gates are powered...
-
But… why?
-
well, it was also bad that Victor was punished for successfully hitting a survivor.
-
No because 60% of the playerbase would be banned because of it.
-
The nerfs are not going to make the perk useless.
People are criticizing it just because it's a perk that you can use it once and it's fine. Most tier S perks can only be used once depending on the condition.
Adrenaline not activating after hooking is the same thing as deliverance not activating if you are the first to be hooked or unbreakable not activating because the killer didn't use slug and the perks are still top tier. It's not like you're going to get hooked every time at the end of the game if you're using this perk.
the speed boost nerf it's kinda meh. adrenaline is only strong because of the free health state so it's like a bonus when activated. I don't really care if they revert It.
I think the nerfs are fine but I wouldn't care if everything was reverted.

Victor just wants to give the survivors a comfort hug for being on the ground for 4 minutes...
-
It's quite strange that the singularity was scheduled to receive changes and was discarded and Blight was also scheduled to receive a change but now he will receive another and it won't be the addons.
-
Not my favorite but at least she is balanced. Her gameplay is not my taste either.

I'm sorry, but as some people have pointed out, these screenshots prove nothing. We cannot see how you played or how efficiently your opponents played. If you had VODs of these games we could get a better picture.
You have a point, I can't expect people to believe me just with screenshots since I wouldn't believe it either if it were me on the other side but the point is that this theory of mine can be tested by anyone. If you want, you can do the same things as me, which was literally playing without perks and seeing the result.
-
@GeneralV said:
To be fair, my friend, this doesn't really prove anything. What you did here certainly can be done with other characters.
Allow me for the first time to disagree with you my beloved. If I had played these same matches with other killers I'm sure I would have lost a few.
I really can't see myself winning these matches with my main, leatherface, Pinhead, xeno, chucky etc perkless. the only way this happened is because of some pretty questionable SM design that I and a few others believe.

@ohheyitsbobcat said:
All this proves is Distressing, Beast of Prey and Thrill are OP!!
I mean come on, look at all those Bloodpoints! SMH!
If BHVR change my Distressing I'll hook them since it's on the perk list with changes.
-
@Yharwick said:
I hate to break it to you but half the killer roster could do this so not sure this proves much of anything especially with such a low sample size.
It's complicated because if I had played those matches with killers even stronger than SM like Oni, hag, wesker and pyramid head without any perks, I'm sure I would have lost.
The only reason I won some matches is because SM gets stronger as the game progresses because she can protect generators much easier than these killers.

There are some matches that are exceptions of course here and there but in general I’d say if SM is winning consistently without perks or tunneling/camping at all then the survivors are not very good. Also her counter play has nothing to do with swf or not at all. She isn’t excessively punishing to solo queue more than swf, she’s just punishing to people playing bad. You don’t need coordination for her, just to individually be good.
I actually have been doing a lot of matches with her and I don’t come to your conclusions at all. Her design isn’t as bad as I used to think.
3 genning isn’t realistically a thing anymore after the gen kick nerf. If survivors are losing to a 3 gen at this point, especially if it’s a no perk SM, it’s a skill issue.
Getting punished because another survivor did a drone is the same as getting punished by Michael because someone else let him stalk, nothing new.
We have a conflict of visions and that's okay. the only difference is that I see more negative points and you see more positive points in relation to her.
3 genning is still a Thing because survivors can't remove stacks of Lock on. If you want to defend the last generators and they are in a dead zone, there isn't much that the survivor with the claw trap can do, he has to wait 45s until the time runs out and not activate another drone otherwise the time will reset and we all know that the last 3 generators will become an area full of drones and if you deactivate, SM can simply reactivate them again.
There should be a way to remove the lock on.

@Blueberry said:
How do you verify these were good survivors?
Do you feel 6 games is a good pool to draw your conclusion from?
Apart from the matches where the survivors committed suicide the rest were good survivors, I don't need to lie about that.
You are also free to try matches with her if you want and see the results.
" Do you feel 6 games is a good pool to draw your conclusion from?"
I've been playing this game for 5 years now so I believe I have some idea of what I'm talking about and I'm sure with conviction that SM is a terrible killer design.

Uh... Guys?
Now do I hate the perk? No I find it annoying because you can have gen at 99% but boom lost a lot of progress but I don't hate it. The reason I feel like it's going to be nerf is either.
Survivors say it's way to difficult to avoid even though just let go of the gen the killer doesn't get a notification one it's location just that a stack was used.
I think dude's talking about Pain Res.

Grim Embrace does Nothing if you tunnel, Grim Embrace does nothing if you camp. In order to get value you must chase, down, and then hook unique<Different> survivors to have this effect. At its core it is a really healthy perk that encourages going for multiple different survivors and rewards doing so. The problem comes when its stacked with other gen regression perks but on that is a different topic.
All in all, Grim Embrace is fine and even though it is annoying to be interrupted at least you can heal and do totems. Moreover, since it needs unique hooks to be activated, tunneling has less impact and camping stops the perk from activating.
" Grim Embrace does Nothing if you tunnel, Grim Embrace does nothing if you camp "
If the killer is already heading to the match with the intention of tunneling and camping, it is better for him to use perk that help him with this.
" At its core it is a really healthy perk that encourages going for multiple different survivors and rewards doing so "
I even agree in a certain way but this is something that should be in the game design (killer role).
We already had perks that discouraged tunneling/camping like BBQ and yet these strategies are still used. As long as BHVR continues to create perks to be Band-aid fixes for the game's problems, they will always exist.
There should be a way to reward killers for spreading hooks in game design.
" The problem comes when its stacked with other gen regression perks but on that is a different topic "
this is exactly why the meta is always changing in first place. Some perks are so good on their own that you don't need to use other perks to help in certain aspects, but the fact that they can stack with other perks makes them more oppressive.
CoB and overcharge is an example of this. These are perks that were very good on their own, but the fact that they can stack with each other to double an effect they were already good at made them very strong.

That is such a bad take. GE can be used a max amount of 4 times and even then the gen block for 3/4 uses was EVEN LESS than when eruption first dropped.
No, it's not. both perks are of poorly design and are not healthy for the game regardless of which one is more effective or not.
A perk that completely prevents survivors from progressing their game is bad design. GE blocks all generators and old eruption applied the incapacitated status. GE could block the generator for 1s which would make it horrible, but still a bad design.
-
Grim embrace it's a version of old eruption and nobody is gonna change my mind. This perk needs to be reworked because I also don't want this perk useless again.
-
Nurse. I feel like the time to end matches is too long for her, usually it's about 2 minutes and I think it should be shortened. Her blink should be map wide and she should have 7 blinks again.
-
This used to have meaning in the past.
Damn I miss those times...
-
You have a point. I think that DH should just ignore the hit just like MoM and don't cause deep wound.
-
Was it better before? Yes, but I think its purpose is more justifiable since it was always made to help killers who have to prepare themselves at the beginning of the trial.
it wasn't much fun that nurse and blight got 2 hooks and the generators were still blocked...
-
I made a post like this recently because no one was playing him and the responses were that it was impossible for the sixth most popular killer not to be seen...
I thought it was just me who was going crazy.
-
let's hope that the last Mid-chapter of the 7th year closes with a flourish.
-
If I were to tell you how I feel about SoloQ I would be behind bars.
-
SoloQ has always been bad, but I feel like the old ranking system worked better. I usually played with people with the same grade which made the match not so terrible but back then things could be a little different since the game wasn't the same as it is today.
-
@squbax said:
Tbf you can remove the hallucination before unhooking. Altho yes its quite strange they didnt add a slowdown when tp next to a hook their track record with powers disabling near hookds had been consistent. Singularity has to wait 3 business days after just using its power near a hook so I guess its just a common singularity L.
I know they can be removed but try explain that to SoloQ.
-
Devs always manage to mess up an event in some way, even if it's unintentional. either the event is bugged or it breaks the game like the snowmen that protected from a hit.
-
I guess when people start playing her. She's top 5 best killers in DBD along with artist but people don't play these killers. Being strong doesn't mean Fun to play.
-
Hex: Ruin : revert back to 200%
Plaything : Fine
Lullaby : needs to be reworked
Crowd Control: Fine
Devour hope: Fine
Two can play : buff blindness to 3s
Face the darkness : Fine
Blood favor : Fine
Undying : Fine
Noed: deleted
Third Seal: It needs to work the same as plaything
Pentimento: Fine
Retribution: Fine
Haunted ground: Fine
I think most of the hexes are fine, some are better on other killers and some don't.
-
No, buff oni and mad grit please please please.
