that's a good point. for me the female vaults don't feel any different than before the patch. male vaults on the other hand throw off my muscle memory because of the new (bugged) distance.

Yes thats right. Anonymous mode is annoying on many different levels.
The function I'm talking about just hides your own name on your own screen, so that you don't have to edit so much when recording videos.

Take the tape and be a good looper: she drops the chase after a short time, ignores you, kill everyone else and then goes for you in the hatch standoff

The only usefull use is to mark the healing spot against a 3-gen SM. It's to loud to place it near the gen you are working on and you cant disable it. Most of the time it confuses other survivors.

Some stats from BHVR would be nice about the pickrate in low / mid / and high mmr.

best thing is to watch them run in circles between the hook and a generator and doing nothing

Some random quirks i noticed with matchmaking
- if you have an escape streak, you get randomly assined to a new player lobby
- if you play a high prestige char, you get in a lobby with high prestige chars. if you play a low prestige char you get in a lobby with low prestige chars. the time played on steam profils stays in the same range.
- when killer is 100% on EU server for me it feels like there is no matchmaking on the survivor side. just random skill levels (from 1 hour to 10k in one team) together.
- mmr is ignored when someone dodges the lobby and there are a lot of dodged lobbies

There was a doctor that needed 4k for his adept today. He let bleed me out and can now play another game to get his adept.

A hard ping limit of 150ms would take care of a lot of strange hits / actions on both sides. 150ms is the ping limit of most games or esports competitions.
We play on dedicated servers. The server should know what data came first in and act accordingly. you cant apply the "server favors the shooter rule" of other games on dbd. because survivors are never the "shooter". a more strict ruleset has to be used to make it fair for both partys.

The i-frames in fast vaults never worked for me. Is it survivor dependent or ping related?

I would play my p100 chars more often if the prestige would be hidden to the killer. I think most people playing soloQ on EU server feel the same because when someone plays his p100 and the killer stays, then everyone is switching over to his p100.

Wouldn't happen if the killer can't see prestige levels or player profils in the lobbies.

want to trade? my gaming day so far:
2x cheater instant kill cheater bots, 2x in a row the same moon ping blight followed by a p100 max speed blight and then a facecamping huntress over two hook stages.
I'm done with DBD today.

Quitting the game early could lead to a depip for the killer in some situations. this should be changed before ending the game prematurely. Otherwise, I agree with you.

I ran 2 Gen and a half, I decided to "make a mistake", getting down and give Bubba his first hook, this is what I get, straight up camped to death.
I totally could run to shack (on the right of the image) to extend the chase. But I ran back to a gym that I already drop its pallet and get down after.

- 1000 hours to feel like i can do something as survivor and not be the killers pet
- 2000 hours to know what i did wrong but still a lot of mistakes on my side
- 3000+ hours to flatten out the mistakes and start to do meta play as survivor
... sometimes still going down in less than 20 seconds and being impressed by the gameplay of 10.000+ hours survivors

in my eyes, at the end of the game, it's the reward of a match that counts and there is a huge problem with the design of dead by daylight.
From a suvivor's point of view, if you don't play optimally, you are often punished four times in a single game for dying.
- The first punishment is you die. You are out of the game. No respawn, simply nothing. No way to comeback or do anything other than start a new game. frustrating if you thought it was a nice match.
- The second punishment is the amount of bloodpoints you get. If you die early, the amount is just ridiculously small. The current event shows again how ridiculously often the blood points are in relation to getting an invitation in the bloodweb. Have you ever looked for a purple flashlight?
- The third punishment is you may lose a PIP. The killer wants you out at the start of the game? You can run him for 5 gens and then die while die gates are open and you lose a PIP because you never healed someone or touched a gen. For the other players you are the match hero but the game punish you for it.
- The fourth punishment is your MMR goes down. That means your team member gets worse in the future, you will lose even more.
The same applies to the killer, albeit differently. killer mains may explain this better than me
So is it a community problem or a problem that BHVR brought us? I think it's a problem that the developer created and doesn't understand himself.

its not your fault, its BHVR's fault but you have to deal with it.
as you said at the beginning, a server in south africa would be the best solution for you. by playing despite the high ping, you're just showing BHVR that it's okay for gamers to play in these conditions. At the end of the day, only the number of players and the profit they generate count for BHVR.
I have an absolute understanding of your situation and also a strong advocate of a sensible solution, i.e. your own server or again p2p for players in weak playernumber regions.
please take the time and create a direct feedback ticket in which you describe your situation and what solutions you think there are. there is a section for that at the support page. here in the forum the calls because of ping problems fade away because everyone agrees that is a bad company policy by BHVR (there are several hundred threads about this topic). in the case of a feedback ticket, at least one person from BHVR must take the time to read it:

For some time now, I've noticed that sometimes you can't run certain loops successfully. the killers aren't that much faster that it's obvious though.
5% faster killer is enough to get a big advantage. if you compare that to noed's 4%, it takes a lot of experience to tell the difference and even more if you are in chase with the killer.
but how can you prove it? even if you have a video, it's hard to tell if the speed is right or not. BHVR should finally give the servers a minimum of basic checks.

Also how the hell are survivors supposed to get blood points now. Getting 1,25k for a generator you do alone plus the random factor of skill checks is kinda a joke considering the point cap for the category is 10k. I saw somebody else breaking it down that you'd have to complete 7 gens and one exit gate to fill up these 10k now.
one of the community manager could show us a calculation of how BHVR imagines the average BP yield of a survivor.

I'm sorry your games are like this. For the anniversary I play pretty normal with my comfy build of Shadowborn, Lightborn, BBQ and Lethal and let most survivors escape in the end (I know how hard it is to get these cosmetics).
But still you didn't answer my question. Is it more common during the event? For me it's extremely rare to be bled out on the ground, but I've read that others experience this much more often. So I really don't know. And as I said, I don't understand why one would do that.
The only times (as far as I remember) I've let people bleed out on purpose (once it happened on accident because the Laurie bodyblocked with DS and I couldn't find her anymore) were when they made themselves impossible to hook (good old RPD library) and a group on old Haddonfield that had the goal to deny me any hooks (I granted them their wish).
Sorry, I just forgot about your question. Yes it is absolutely unusual. i usually play in a mmr area where people play more civilized (no or very little bad manners) because they usually know how the other side plays (advanced according to one of otz last videos). Of course there are always exceptions, but it's particularly bad at the moment.
