  • The point is that no one would BEHAVE this way in person, or they wouldn't be in the game in the first place. See, you get away with being a toxic because the matchmaking is random. If you could be blocked for beign toxic, queue times would be insanely long as most of this community would only be playing with the other toxic people. I'll give you a hint, it isn't the people DC'ing.

If your friend plays in a way that's horrible for everyone else in the game. He's not getting invited to play anymore. Period.

That's not relevant. Every PvP game has players that want to ragequit, but the ragequitting rate in other PvP games is much lower because they have meaningful consequences for ragequitting.

Thank you for proving my point. No other game has this level of problem with its' design that people would rather quit than play in a meaningful percentage of games. Again, you are trying to beat a solution to the symptoms of the problem and not the problem itself. All you care about is your fun and screw everyone else.

It will function much better, because adding real consequences for ragequitting would lower the amount of ragequitting. Have you played other PvP games, and noticed the ragequitting rate is way lower in those games, because they have real consequences for ragequitting?

The reason we have so much ragequitting in this game is because so many people think the current ragequitting consequences are such a joke, that they have zero hesitation to ragequit in DBD.

I wasn't aware there were a lot of other games that allow you to literally torture your opponents. Could you name a few?

  • Agree to disagree. I walk out with over 50k bp nearly every game, even when dying. I only have 7 more prestige levels to get across all survivors to be done with bloodpoints on them. I'm going to get that before the event ends.

There are various reasons to look for totems as it is that already made hexes a high risk high reward scenario. Boon totems are very popular, so people are already looking for them. Most experienced survivors already check every totem spot while walking from point A to B anyway just in case of a hex.

The bad matchmaking has nothign to do with the event. That's just how this game has always been. Really, the only complaint that holds merit is the sounds being annoying for you. Fair enough. But that's not a good enough reason to make everyone else miss out on an event and tons of BP just because you dislike them. If it bothers you so much, just stop playing until it ends in like a week and a half.

Nobody should be DCing or dodging lobbies, and no, those killers arent broken, players just dont want to try. Oh wait your the guy who twists other people's words into what you want to argue against.

There is no twisting. This is what you're saying. You just don't seem to comprehend what it is you're asking for. There are many things in this game that are not remotely balanced. They can't be, by nature of many things like map design, item/addon rarities, perk builds, and so on. One game against a huntress will go one one, but if the huntress switches to her best addons and the survivors bring no items, the balance is heavily skewed in her favor, and this could be the exact same five players.

Why should anyone be forced to suffer through a 10-20minute game against things they hate? No one complains when the killer DC's against three people that have been doing nothing but set up headons and blinds for ten minutes. In fact, the ones considered at fault at the survivors. Wait... I think I see the pattern here. It's always the survivor at fault. Wait for bot mode. You won't have any more DC's or toxic survivors then.

  • @Seraphor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3240048#Comment_3240048

Any indication of the killer will result in so much lobby dodging that certain killers will be unplayable.

You will never see four survivors at once that are happy to load into a game knowing it's going to be Nurse.

And before anyone says it, no it's not a sign that "Nurse is broken" or anything like that (regardless of how true that may be).

If you give survivors a consequence-free way to shop around for their 'favourite' (easier) killers, they will.

It's the exact same reason killers shouldn't know if the survivors in their lobby are a SWF.

Right, so let's load the lobby and have people DC/suicde instead. OR... we can be honest and admit that if there is such a huge problem with certain killers that they should be looked into and not just ignored. Killers dodge lobbies constantly as it is. Why are you the only ones that get to avoid what looks to be an unpleasant game for you? Oh, right, because it's all about you, isn't it?

  • @TheArbiter said:

You're joking.... The zombies that literally get stuck on a 1cm inch of grass and don't even move???

They can... or they can literally camp a basement stairwell or a door making it impossible to travel through. They have collision no matter how many times they hit you. Yeah, 9 times out of 10, they're barely worth anything more than the occasional info that someone is over there, but every now and then they're broken AF. I've had them win games before. I definitely agree they need some kind of counter other than hitting them with a pallet. Something like... if you sneak up behind them, you get a prompt to just snap their neck and take them out.

  • I'm nearing 2200 hours as a 95-5 survivor main. I legit do not see this. The only time I see someone trying to help the killer kill the 4th is if the 4th was the reason for the lost game. Like he's the one that popped us into a 3-gen and then refused to pressure any of the three gens, just hiding while we all slowly whittled away through attrition of resources. As killer, if I can tell one of them is sandbagging the team, you better believe I'll try and make sure they're the dead one and not the person that was trying.

you're supposed to get chased and hooked -_-, that is the game -_-. plus if you let a teammate die all the killer have to do is injure and hook the other and its ggs.

Uh... no. You're supposed to go gens and escape. Chases and hooks are the killer's objective, sir.

  • Sadly, there are many challanges that require you to run trash builds or perks and most people just want to get it over with ASAP. I know on the last tome, that "take 12 protection hits" challenge had me running a sabo build that was annoying AF just so I could take as many protection hits as possible. I never touched a generator any of the games I ran it. Basically threw the game like 3-4 times.

This is part of why the 'party game' mindset should be part of the community instead of this constant sweating to victory we have now. The game's design and player behaviors just do not line up right.

Yes, that sounds good, though not so much the telling of a SWF as many players would dodge all SWFs and the game would be nearly unplayable.

But, just making you unable to change items once you are in the killer lobby would IMO be enough. Set your character before, same as killer has to do.

I'm okay with that though. Now that I have to leave crossplay on for incentive bonus, I notice killers dip all the time when it's 4 steam players. Before, when I had crossplay off, I would spend probably 2-3 minutes in lobby as the first half dozen or so killers leave purely because it was 4 steam users. Even with no items equipped.

  • @nfochairman said:

The fact that they have time to even attempt to troll tells you all you need to know about how easy survivor is compared to Killer. You don't have a second to breathe as a killer. You take 2 seconds to look away and gens are done

Your reading comprehension isn't very good. At no point did he say they won or even attempted to win. They just trolled the whole game. They hid. Did nothing. Nada. Zero. Zip. Ziltch. You as killer can do this too! Pick up wraith, hide in corner. Lulz. You did the same thing. It's only more effective as survivor squad because the game won't end until the killer actually tracks down and kills all four people hiding. As killer, they can just do gens and leave, eventually, once they get bored enough.

Also, in Otz' video going over the killer rankings, he flat admitted survivor is less forgiving than killer. One bad teammate making a mistake can kill all 4 survivors. The killer has to make lots of mistakes to get zero kills. From the mouth of a huge killer main. Don't act like you're really under any pressure. The worst the survivors can do to you is hit you with a locker or blind you. You kill them and delete them from the game. It's not like after 10 stuns the killer dies, or instead of escaping, they hit you with a barrel of oil and light you on fire. The only one making playing killer sweaty is you.

  • I played killer for this challenge, used wraith and put on double speed addons and did nothing but focus on the challenge. It took me 4 games and around 35 pumpkins to complete. It was incredibly infuriating.

  • Here's a compromise. To go along with the finishing mori system, we have a similar one trigger when all remaining survivors are within the open exit gates and standing. It triggers an animation where all the survivors can watch themselves twerk for a few seconds and the game ends. No more sitting and waiting for two minutes while they all sit there waiting to see you show up so they can taunt you. It's over. Get out. They get to watch your character model get teabagged, and you just go to the end screen. Problem solved. If they stay just inside the gates to avoid it, then you have the opportunity to get a quick down.

  • I still like the idea that the survivors get 30 seconds to finalize their builds, then it locks. Then killer has an additional 30 seconds to set theirs. What killer is being used is then revealed to the survivors (after they have finalized, so they can't switch to counter him) so if they don't want to play, they can dip. You'd have significantly less disconnects/suicides this way. I would also reveal the number of players that queued together from the onset. Put little brackets over them to show they were in a party together.

  • Let's start with everything that's unhealthy for the game: Camping. Tunneling. Rancor. Nurse. Blight. Head On. Chain Flashlight blinds in general. Teabagging. Sitting at the exit to wait two minutes until the killer comes over to watch the teabagging. Tombstone/Tomestone Fragment. Bad Maps and offerings to send you there. Busted items/addons like iri hatchets and commodius toolboxes. The emergency medkit. The list goes on and on. I'm sure I could continue, but you get the point.

From toxic behaviors to imbalanced items, they all ruin people's fun. I get that 90% of killer/SWF fun is to torment the other side and the ultimate victory is to get them to DC, but those of us who don't take pleasure in making other people miserable would prefer not to spend the entire game being made miserable. But hey, let's just keep forcing people to play against things that are blatantly unpleasant by design and assume that's 'healthy' for the game or players.

    Short answer: No.

    Long answer: Hell no.

I'm about the nicest, fairest killer you can imagine. I go out of my way to try and 2 hook everyone, I don't camp and I usually run flans.

I see at least 1 DC, suicide or AFK in every 2-3 matches I play.

I've given up on playing solo queue completely at present, because there's maybe a 50% chance of the first person to go down to either suicide or cable pull.

This has nothing to do with how killers play. This is something people do because A: They can and B: Because they know it's annoying.

We need strictrer DC controls, and some sort of system to ban people who suicide or AFK constantly. Because it's hard enough to find a proper game right now.

And yes - you can easily do 5 gens while trading.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3239445#Comment_3239445

The last time they disabled them I saw a DC literally every time I played for maybe 9 games in a row, sometimes as soon as the survivors saw me. I then gave up completely and came back when they were reinabled.

So, so many people abuse zero DC penalty to drop their ratings.

I agree. We need to do more to treat the symptoms and not the disease. Screw making treatments for the actual source of the problems let's just throw a bandaid on it like every other problem this game has.

Killer reworks, buffs or looking at/changing bad addons (Freddy, Pyramid Head hello?) can take years and years we all know this. So what about when we have 10 or 20 more killer than today? When will we reach a limit where we simply have too many killers in the game? Are we already there? Everyone seems happy when new killers are released but it does have a nasty downside.

How long can they continue like this?

Reworks don't earn revenue. New chapters mean sales. Basically, as long as the character in question functions, there's no reason to touch it. Really, they just proved no killer needs a buff except perhaps trapper.

But the queues aren´t hours long. Right now its between 1 and 2 minutes for killers. Just because you see the incentive, doesn´t mean that the other side has to wait for ages.

If you don´t enjoy playing survivor, then just play killer. If you don´t enjoy killer, then just play survivor. Simple as that.

The incentives are there to aleviate the queues. To give players an incentive to play the side in more demand, when they are indecisive on what to play. It helps to shorten the queue for both sides.

I get that you can't seem to understand what I'm saying. It's fine. You don't understand that the attitude of "then just don't play the side people are already fleeing from" just compounds the problem. No, it's not an hour long queue. Yet. Keep that kind of attitude up and the massive and unnecessary killer buffs like the previous midchapter patch... And well, you are on your way.

Im talking about dropping ON HOOK. when theyre salty they go down

Have you considered that there might be other reasons they didn't want to play the match before they went down and just tried to get a few bp until they were found?

Could be a killer they hate, sandbagging survivor teammates, there could be a dozen reasons they didn't want to play. But because they can't just DC and end the match prematurely, they're forced to play to the point they get hooked. Racing to unhook someone killing themselves on hook is not going to magically make them suddenly start to try harder.

A good step to remedying this is to allow survivors to see what the killer is before the match starts, but after they can no longer change their build. I guarantee you'd have 90% less DC's and suicides on hook.

I can't wait for both mode. Will be significantly more fun than what we have now. I don't expect bots to hard camp, tunnel, hit on hook, head on spam, spam blind, teabag, or a multitude of other toxic things.

How dare survivors log in and expect their teammates to try so they don't depip and are actually able to play? They should realize their fun is completely subordinate to the DCer!

    Fixed it for you

Pips are pointless and have been for a while now. You signed up for the 'team' side of the game without a team. That means you are working with random people. I do not complain when I have a teammate DC on me. I understand. Really, it sounds like you're being just as selfish. They say "I'm not having fun" and leave, and your argument is "what about me?!" It's just as selfish and transparent.

  • Have you considered that even with the "counterplay" it's still not fun to play against? Don't get me wrong, I'd still rather face her than dredge or a few others, but let's not pretend that being able to ignore 99% of game mechanics was a good design idea.

In the right hands, she's not even worth touching the controls against. In mediocre hands, yeah you can play around it a bit. In feeble hands, it's a free escape. Only one of those three scenarios does what you do matter.

  • There are two killers that open them to reload their power. One that literally teleports to them and will grab you if you're in there.

Literally short of setting up head on plays or trying to dodge an aura read like BBQ, you shouldn't be in a locker.

  • You.. realize that is exactly the problem, right? That's why the incentive bonus is on survivor almost permanently. Keep that attitude up and enjoy the eventual hour+ queues.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

Why do I hate hatch? This is why. Not many people these days care about how hard you had to work for your kills anyway. It's no surprise that the first thing they always say to this is "you don't need the 4k." Okay. You don't need to escape, so just offer yourself up as a free kill. Oh, you don't want to do that despite asking the killer to do something similar? That's what I thought.

After all this time my point still stands. Hatch is a terrible endgame mechanic, and we need to be looking for a better one, not just accepting the trash we have, or saying that it's a well thought-out thing when it isn't.

Killers already want everyone to spawn on hooks anyway. I'm confident that most on here would not be satisfied with them simply removing the exit gates, as it would require them to still have to find and chase survivors. That's still too much work for the average killer main.

  • @IWantCandys said:

This may sound funny to some of you, but it's a real problem for me right now.

I can't get any further in the event tome, I'm stuck in the second survivor challenge. Escape 2 times.

This is apparently impossible in the MMR I'm in. Why does BHVR hate solo queue so much? This may not be a challenge for SWF or high mmr solo survivors but I have no idea how to do this challenge.

Usually I don't care, I play mostly for BP, shards and fragments and not for winning. But this stupid challenge is forcing me to do it and I have to say I'm completely frustrated right now.

Wouldn't it be enough for BHVR to reduce this escape challenges to 1 time ( while thinking of lower mmr solo queue) and not to several times? It's not even one challenge that I can skip to do another in its place. I MUST do it to even progress at all in this rift.

Do you have any advice please? I'm really frustrated right now.

Solo queue exists for killer mains to torture. They really should rename survivor to victim and be done with it.

  • I'd like the penalty to go up to permaban so I can get out of this realm forever without having to look into hacks

  • @Maxitolliony said:

play the way you want to be treated, yet everyone thinks for themselves. pain.

Excuse me. Why should I come lemming myself with everyone else? I run kindred and can clearly see no one else is ever doing gens. If I don't then no one does. I am more than happy to unhook or bodyblock if it will help the game progress. I am not obligated to fall on a hook for you and neither is anyone else.

  • I'd pay 15-20k bp per web just to move up a level and gain nothing from it. I use nothing but the perks and bo offerings anyway, I would love the option to just skip and progress to the unlocks.

  • I never understood either. Her face looks similar to old Quentin, like someone beat her with an ugly stick. Her hair is pretty bad in the default model too.

But I can say the same of Nea. Both are fugly.

  • @duygu said:

The scenario is this: After a hard fought back-and-forth match against a full team that lasted somewhere between 15-20 minutes, i finally got the 4th slug and am finishing up with hooks. So I am about to hook the last survivor, but then the other survivor unhooks themself with deliverance, which is fine because i can simply drop the one i'm carrying. Except, since this is a swf team that can't swallow their pride and take an occasional loss (my best guess), this survivor i'm carrying disconnects and, conveniently, the hatch spawns only a few meters away from where the other unhooked themself.

Now i guess there might be some folcs who will say things like "you got the 3k, be happy" which i am happy about. But i am not happy that i lost my well-earned 4k due to a factor literally outside of my control and not part of legitimate gameplay. I would've liked my deserved win. Yes, indeed it is deserved, because if the disconnect button, something that is not part of gameplay, did not exist, I would've had the 4k. They lost fair and square.

It's up to here with how frequently these people are cheating out their escapes and my 4k. Is there a non-perk, non-addon, basically non-legitimate gameplay button for the killer side to press and take one last actual coinflip that might secure a kill, once the exit gates are opened and remaining survivors are about to escape? Nope.

I might sound a little bit aggressive about this topic, but I'd just like to say that I genuinely do not care if the last survivor takes hatch. In fact will generally hook the second last survivor. I won't bother slugging and looking for the fourth; I don't have unlimited free time. I am only complaining about this cheap and unintended way of manipulating the game to one's unfair advantage. And yes, i believe it is unintended because I doubt that BHVR added the disconnect penalty to encourage people disconnecting for any reason including this. No rational dev would condone this trash.

    --

I understand that as long as there is one survivor left alive, the hatch must immediately open so that the survivor gets a fair chance at victory, even more so if the others disconnected and thus ruined the game. As someone who does play solo survivor as well, I myself would certainly be pissed if I didn't even get the hatch chance after my team disconnected. Nevertheless, it's still a shame that innocent fair players have to put up with this, which is, and i will say it for merely what it is, cheating, because some people lack sportsmanship and dignity.

"My well earned..." You just slugged for the 4. There was nothing creative or hard fought. You just slugged to deny the last played a chance at all.

I hope things get implemented as they were tested so those scenarios do not exist ever again. Either the third will get themselves up, or the game will end immediately. You get 22-45 seconds to find the 4th Mr Sweaty. Good luck.

Regardless of whether you hate her or not, you're still being selfish if you DC against her.

Yeah. How dare you selfishly want to have fun in a game you bought and paid for? For shame! You should be the killer's punching bag and just shut up so they can have fun burning you with that magnifying glass!

The OP is spot on. There is a reason that the incentive bonus is nearly always +100% survivor and it's because people don't want to put up with the crap. This attitude of "shut up and be my cannon fodder" is just going to drive people out of the game.

Why would I do that when they are unhooking right in front of me? But sure I'll ignore my objective right in front of me and walk all they way across the map to hopefully find a survivor to chase.

I could of also seen the unhooker coming and you know tried to go after them but they went for the unhook anyway or is the killer supposed to ignore half the team just because?

Think this through. You're complaining that they have these defenses. These defenses that do not come into play if you proceed to your actual objective: Preventing escapes. While you're messing with the two people that are likely both injured by the time of the unhook, you are letting the other two work on generators. This is why BBQ was such a healthy perk for the game, it promoted gameplay that was both more fun and more skillful.

The thing is a survivor try to force ds is still wasting your time. It really becomes a problem when your in a situation where you can't get around the ds survivor and have to hit them and you can't hook them so your not progressing your objective. Also it's not like you can deal with the survivor with ds and another survivor at the same time so even if they are following you around as long as they are in between you and your real target it's a problem not to mention if there running OTR it's 2 hits to get them out your way.

Oh and while your dealing with this mess 2 gens pop

Have you considered... going after one of the people doing the gens and not tunneling the person from the hook with two protection abilities that turn off the second they do ANYTHING to help progress the game for survivors?

It was a massive success. Most people got exactly what they'd been asking for throughout the years. 1 patch drops and suddenly survivors have zero fun, even though they had plenty of fun before? Okay. If that's all it takes for them to leave, they can go. The rest of us will adapt and have fun. The low motivation of certain survivors isn't the game's fault, and it certainly isn't 6.1.0's fault. This entitled/lazy survivor mentality has been going on for years. They want to put in minimum effort and feel godlike, and when that doesn't happen they rage quit.

I hope BHVR continues with patches like that, so that the undesirables who screw over their teammates and skew stats constantly will leave the rest of us in peace. I also want to see the reactions to any potential killer buffs, since people usually lose their minds over that stuff. Seems like every patch drop it's, "The worst patch that's ever happened!"

Fixed that for you. This is pretty much the general mentality of people on this forum and why nothing on here should ever be taken seriously. It never changes. Kill rates are over 60% and that's still not good enough. No. No one on here will be happy until survivors just spawn directly on the hooks. Change the name from survivor to Victim and make it clear that this is the intent. Victims exist to be tortured for the killer's amusement. Nothing more.

  • This is the problem with MMR being based around escape/death and literally nothing else. It rewards nothing aside from going through that exit gate. Doesn't matter if you have any skill whatsoever. If you walk through the gate, you go up. If you don't you go down. So to get better teammates, you have to literally do nothing but escape. As Sonzaishinai said: Sole Survivor, Wake Up. Let them all die and then leave.

Or just get friends and SWF with people that aren't on par with lemmings.

Behaviour if you dont want people to use NVIDIA filters stop making the maps so bloody dark you cant see infront of you. please :) Also put some color into it!

"I don't get any advantage to them. I use them to brighten my game so I can see hiding survivors easier. What about that is an advantage?!" -.-

I think its time to make shattered hope Baseline for killers and make breaking boon a 2 _3 second channel since survivors get free unbreakable which is hands down way stronger and game changing

You do know that "free unbreakable" is only so you can't slug everyone in 2 minutes and win instantly, right?

i think its just bad rng with this map, i never had that amount of chained pallets in a game before i mean i still got a 4k but holy hell i came out of that game so stressed i insta alt f4

This. This right here is the entire problem with this community. "This is BS. I still won easily, but it wasn't easy enough. Nerf X!"

There are some legitimate complaints, especially when it comes to SWF bully squads, but these kinds of posts should just be thrown in the trash. It's why we get the impression that killers will not be happy until survivors just spawn on hooks. You already win the game, but you complain it wasn't easy enough.

I play Fortnite, too. Occasionally, random squads. You'll often have a teammate that leaves the match upon being downed rather than waiting to see if the rest of the squad can win the fight and heal said teammate. No one likes that teammate in the same way that no one likes selfish teammates in DBD solo queue. If BHVR thinks Survivor should be played selfishly, they're wrong.

I'm... Sorry... *They* are wrong? They designed the game. SWF wasn't even a thing at first. Solo queue and the "we're only a team if it benefits my escape" mindset is exactly how the game is meant to be played. That's why your MMR only cares if you escape. I am sorry if you dislike this design, but it's not your place to tell the creators that the game they envisioned is wrong.

If you want a real team and altruistic people, play SWF exclusively. They'll actually care about you. Expecting strangers to risk sacrificing 7500-9000 blood points (before offering and incentive bonuses) and the MMR increase for you is just entitlement.

You can be that guy that doesn't care if he lives or does trying to save someone else, but you have no right to demand it of others or to claim the game's design was "wrong" from the onset.

  • Capitalism is the only way the world works. Contrary to what some believe, the overwhelming majority of people are not altruistic and are only motivated by self interest. Capitalism is why all these revolutionary disease treatments and cures get made. The world runs on self interest. If you want something you should have to give something of value for it. Sorry if you haven't learned that yet, but you will in time when/if you have to actually earn a living.

  • The level of entitlement in this community never ceases to amaze me. "Everyone should be able to get everything!" I disagree. I'd prefer if there were ways to earn them than just buy them, but I completely disagree with this entire concept that exclusive, rare, or even unique items are bad.

This is a very shallow way of looking at it, no offence. The issue here is that "limited time" cosmetics only serve to prey on people and manipulate them into spending their money. This isn't about supporting the game you like, this is about the devs using underhanded, dirty tactics to manipulate people into giving them money. Someone who suffers from addiction or a mental condition like anxiety can see "limited edition, you'll never see it again" and panic into spending money on the non-refundable cosmetic. Now that would be one thing, but fact is: the people who implement these kinds of tactics do it anyway, SPECIFICALLY to manipulate these people into giving them money, and they simply don't care.

Limited edition stuff is cool. Not everyone should get everything. I see zero issue here and would love to see more of it. I'd love to have things that were more rare or even unique that aren't obtainable. The real problem is this sense of entitlement that you (not necessarily you specifically) seem to think you deserve the ability to have everything everyone else has.

I'd love more with limited time challenges that reward unique cosmetics for accomplishing them. Just more things to make people have things that are actually special.

  • Yup. Don't support a product you can get literally thousands of hours of content out of for $20, or less if bought on sale. This is really simple. Do you like the game? Then support it if you can. Don't act like they're here putting a gun in your face demanding your money. You don't have to buy anything after the initial game purchase, and hell you often can play without even paying that.

  • Would be tempted to buy them if they weren't on characters I could not care less about. If that Yui skin was in that category, I would happily buy it and thank them for it.

  • How dare a cheap game with constant, regular updates and content offer something that makes them money?! It's despicable! Who would want to support a game they play all the time and ensure it continues to keep running? Where're the torches? I've got some pitchforks around here somewhere...

Unlock every character, Unlock all the perks with all the characters, unlock every skin buyable with iridiscent shard and achieve every achievement (all are "inifinite" until Behaviour stop releasing characters). You have a lot of goals in this game tbh.

I ask "for what?" You cannot sell this collection. At some point, you will even lose access to it. The grind tricks you into feeling like you *need* to keep playing to reach the next milestone. I myself have only about 10 survivors left to take from P1-P3.

But the actual gameplay? Cancer. Just horrible cancer. Every game now is just the most sweaty, awful killers acting as toxic as they possibly can. I can't even play three games in a row without logging back out, irritated by how many killers abuse every cheap, easy tactic to get their kills asap, regardless of whether or not it ends with everyone sub 10k bp.

Every patch makes this game worse and it's been this way for years now. They keep trying to make it more and more "competitive", but it has not, will not, and cannot ever be fair enough to be competitive. There's way too much RNG. The variety in maps, tile placement, add-on strength, perk strength, killer chose , it's all just too much to ever make the idea of a "fair" match possible. People say GG at the end, but it's almost never a GG. It's almost always a blowout in one direction or the other.

It's a wacky party game and they should learn back into that. That's what made it fun. There were a dozen things or more utterly broken on either side and everyone just accepted it. Yeah, you had your three iri hatchets, but after you got two, the three gens we managed let us pop the hatch and peace out. The BS was everywhere. Have the crazy clown guy in his elephant mascot costume chase a Dwight elf around the wacky circus with the demon horse. Let it make no sense again.

All you need is the smallest amount of secondary info to nullify all of that, though. Comms aside, if you're running a perk like Windows and see a pallet or door aura break, you now know exactly where the killer is and what direction they are coming from and can route accordingly. Empathy? Someone suddenly gets injured and you've got a GPS lock on them. Multiple people running around injured? look for an animation that implies being chased (fast vaults, pallet drops, etc) and you've got your answer. Im sure following this pattern any other aura perks like alert/bond/aftercare/etc should give you an idea.

I absolutely get your argument, but it kinda has a disproportionate affect between high and low MMR, as well as between players who do and don't understand deductive reasoning and game sense. or just comms.

But all of what you suggest is also possible without spine chill. I would know where you are if a breakable wall caved in on Windows regardless of Spine Chill.

If I use Spine Chill like you suggest, getting off the gen, sneaking away, etc, then that also happens every single time you come near, regardless of if you're coming for me or not. That means it's pulling me off the gen without even having to do anything.

It's a good perk, don't get me wrong, but it's not like if gives a wire tap like aura whenever you come by.
