Her omegablink add-on is NOT balanced lmfao. If you have more than half a brain cell you can 4k every game with that build, its crazy to think you have the audacity to say nothing is wrong with it.
Yes, i say that, and i bring proofs to it, if you really want to defend you statement that much, at leat tell me why you think i'm wrong. Critising Omegablink means knowing perfectly how Nurse works, and that's something i can say i know (i've been playing practically only her since 2017) and sorry, but saying: "LMFAO no Im RiGht Yu WroNG" like you are saying makes you no different than all the people that follow what their favourite streamer says, like sheep.
@MegsAreEvil said:
So all the pro-nurses who play omegablinks all the time instead of 3(+)-blinks are totally wrong with their decision? Is it that what you wanna tell us? Pls just get real and accept that omegablink is the best you can use. Its far too good.
The simple fact that you are telling me Nurse with 3 blinks is weaker than maxrange Nurse makes me realise you are the classic one who probably doesn't know anything about Nurse. Try do the math for a second, and use some logic: 3 blinks + range addon: you go even further than omega, and 3 blinks allow you to basically have a second chance in chase, that normally you shouldn't have had. But of course, it's easier to just follow what streamers say, like sheep, without probably even knowing something about how addon and a specific killer work.

@TheUnendingNightmare said:
Well I wouldn't say to nerf since the Nurse is usually so bad or rather hard to play with. Although I will say that when a Nurse blink more than 3 times I do get scared a bit.
Yeah me too XD More than 3 blinks is broken and unnecessary. I say that as a Nurse main myself. 3 ones on some maps are okay (like Lery's or the Game) but i think they should at least change the 3rd blink addon rarity.

@YaiPa said:
If Billy's engravings increase speed while also increasing charge time, why Nurse should be different? That's the stupidity of these add-ons, same charge time, double distance.
Well there is a reason why nobody uses death engravings and everyone uses insta-saw. Guess why? Because if the downside is so big, what's the point of using the addon?
As i said above though, the different charge time we are talking about is a matter of milliseconds, you don't even notice it and is countered by the longer blink time, because the movement speed is the same, and that measn more time for the survivor to react mid-blink, because the Nurse is gonna take more time than normal, in that situation, to complete her blink.
-
@yandere777 said:
The thing about her omegablink is that those add ons also increase every other aspect of the blink. You go further with the same charge time and the same blink speed. You can go like 40-50ish meters in the same time it takes to go with no add ons. Same for just quickly tapping the blink button, you go further distance at a shorter time and faster speed.
They don't actually. It slighly increase the charge time, but there is a reason why nobody uses charge time addons: they don't really do anything to help you. You complete your blink charge faster, yes, but we are talking about milliseconds. A value so small that we shouldn't even take into consideration; indeed, i never noticed the faster charge time while playing with those addons, and even if there was, the blink, because of the same movement speed as a normal blink without more range, is gonna be the same, and that means more time for the survivor to react while she is blinking.

All right so hear me out please. I am indeed a survivor main and I have put days upon days into this game I have all the meta perks on survivor so according to some of these people on this page I can clearly just get a free escape. Well this is clearly untrue, while I’d say I’m decent at the game and I usually get to a pretty high rank and yes I have been to rank one. And I can say while reliably running ds on my detective tapp for several months now that ds is not too strong. Bc you say “it’s a perk without consequences” okay well name me some killer perks with consequences. And lasting for sixty seconds is too long?? You realize high tier games usually go for 15 to twenty minutes a lot of the time if the survivors know what’s going on. And that to actually use ds you have to hit a missable skill check that if you do indeed miss the perk gets used anyway? And when you consider how weak wiggling actually is most the time considering a lot of people run either iron grasp or agitation do you really think that one perk that only once during the entire match that can actually save a survivor from getting hooked is too strong? No I’m guessing someone got a really nasty play off on you using ds maybe once or twice and boom bata bing you come here to once again complain about a survivor perk that’s “too strong” which is the same thing that happened with mettle of man a perk where you only got saved from a SINGLE HIT the entire match and only from the injured state and to activate it you had to get hit three times and then boom on ur fourth hit if ur injured you can take another hit before going down(and now the perk has been nerfed and it’s so bad). Oh but wait what if you got healed after the third hit well then you better hope ur not going against a Meyers, leatherface, billy, or ghostface. Or any of the killer perks that allow the killer to one shot you which there are many of and I don’t want to take the time to name them all. And so In any of those cases mettle of man is completely worthless which seems like a lot of situations to me. So maybe really think about something before you whine about it on the forums bc I enjoy playing survivor and it really sucks when all the decent perks I enjoy get just destroyed by nerfs. I’m assuming adrenaline will be destroyed here soon with all the complaints(even tho I admit a full team running it is pretty toxic). But yeah that’s my rant. Also just a side note the whole don’t go to the forums and whine was meant for killer and survivor mains and we all love and hate and hate to love this game but if we all work together hopefully we can make it better. Happy hunting and happy gen rushing.
Thanks for the laugh man!
"considering a lot of people run either Iron Grasp or Agitation"??? What year do you live in? 2017 Nobody runs those perks, as they are useless as hell, so either update your calendar, or get out of rank 21.
And of course you mention Mettle of Man was ok even before the nerf...because of a one time perk..when literally even survivor mains realised that perk was a joke, hence nobody after the nerf complained. I think when i'll be sad i'll go read this papyrus to laugh a little.
Maybe you should consider getting some experience, before come talking about balance.

As many others stated, i'm fine with ds or bt to counter camping/tunneling, the issue is that they last forever, and slugging, considering how adreline is meta, isn't always the best solution.
True, i forgot to menton it. If 1 or 2 gens are left, and more than 2 surviviors alive, you pretty much can't slug, because you'll risk to get Adrenaline'd.

I mean, same can be said though for survivors needing perks to combat tunneling and camping. Both sides need to address their biggest issue in the game with perks. Not saying that’s how it should be, mind you, but unless they’re going to address both in the base game I say leave it as is.
And let’s be honest, even if they made gens slower to where gen slowdown perks were no longer required, people would still use them as it would give them a big advantage. There would need to be a lot of nerfs. Also these types of topics (add survivor objectives, increase gen time) are pretty much code for “I want to get more kills”. Otherwise, we’d be talking about slowing down both sides, which is how it should be. No more genrushing, no more tunneling/camping.
If i "tunnel/camp" at some point, is because i need to kill someone eventually. You counter "gen rushing" by "kill rushing" because dead people can't use their pesky little hands to do gens :D
But yeah, i agree, if they'll ever add second objectives, or increase gen time, they'll need to nerf ruin/corrupt intervention somehow. Just like they did with Brutal Strength, when they buffed default pallet breaking speed time.
-
You guys mention slugging, which is okay, but most of the time it just wastes time and still gives them a second chance, and doesn't reward me for doing well. Slugging for 1-2 minutes might be okay, but on lower ranks. I play higher ranks almos every season and trust me, unless it's end game or it's 3 survivors left, you can't really afford to slug that much, because you'll still give them a second chance, instead of a hook stage. I've had plenty of games where the killer slugged me even when i didn0t have DS, but he thought i had it. It's stupid because yu benefit from it even if you don't have it. Maybe the timer should only be 30-40 seconds long, not to be as abusable..i don't know, but that's the problem. It's so abusable by good survivors.
-
I don't know what they'll do (and if they'll ever do something against it) but i would at least like them to do something to make Ruin not an absolutely necessity.
Btw i don't use Ruin anymore, it gets found after 30-40 seconds always. I switched to Corrupt Intervention long ago and it works, even against rank 1 players. But the problem is the same. If you don't use a perk every game against gens you lose.

@Mr_Black said:
It's just one more hit! And Billy and Leatherface counter it completely, same way wraith and Michael counter Borrowed Time... Stop whinging and git gud whilst you walk around with RUIN and NOED! I'm a killer main (Mikey) and MoM does nothing but make a chase slightly longer which give everyone a tad bit longer to repair, but you can always chase them to a gen or hook after MoM or during general chase if you know they run MoM...
Don't nerf
Don't remove
Just adapt
Yeah, just one more hit, why not right? Where do you play Myers at? Rank 20 where survivors bump into walls and they could even require 5 hits to go down, you'll still win? One more hit can take an ABNORMAL amount of time to make someone go down, no matter how good you are. Combine it with DH, DS, BT and maybe even an insta heal, and you are not a survivor, you a end level boss.
Oh and btw, it looks like the devs agree with me judging by the latest stream ;)

@Perelie said:
They can fix it by removing it, along with all the other baby crutch perks the devs keep giving survivors.
Yes i agree, removing it completely would indeed be the best solution, as well as all the others second chance crutches survivors have. Unfortunately though, we all know the other side of the community, so this will never happen. At least with this change it would be still unfair, but kinda more risky, i suppose.

I wish the wraith had base stun reduction for exaple 50% atleast so I don't have to run Enduring all the time and have fun with other builds
Yeah maybe they should make something with the stun (for all kilers) like they did back then with Brutal Strength: the base breaking speed was way too short, so they buffed it, and Brutal Strength became less of a necessity. Maybe they could do something with Enduring as well. If you don't play Nurse, Enduring is right now too necessary, imo.
-
In one of the previous Q&A you had talked about the possibility of increasing the standard FOV (Field Of View) for killers. Are you still working on this? If yes, what are the ideas to increase it and at what values? Maybe what about even putting in the game options the possibility to personalise it, and then rework the 2 current FOV perks into something else?
-
Not bad actually, but essentially, it's the same thing without the stun in place for killers. You still gain wiggle (which is supposed to do, in the upcoming nerf) but at least here you don't risk to get flashlight saved or pallet stunned while carrying. I like it, but the idea of the devs is still pretty good, i think it will finally fix the perk. Once again, you're saying essentially the same nerf idea, so it's still good.
-
I've always loved Whispers, the best tracking perk if you know how to use it. Personally i'm ok with the changes. They're buffing it early game (the most important part of the game currently, you REALLY need to find the first one ASAP) and nerfing it a little on the end game. It's a good trade for me, then we'll see of course, but it's not a big nerf in the end game. It should become what it is now the current Whspers 2 (40 meters)

I will because it's true. People don't want to take the time to actually get better at the game so they resort to easy mode nurse.Come on. That's garbage and you know it. I know, you've ranked 1 as perkless nurse every season(except for those where you did it solely as perkless Freddy). If you say so. The nurse is not "easy mode". She has a crazy learning curve and I have mad respect for anyone who masters her. The problem is, once she's mastered, she becomes crazy efficient. That is true. But to say she's "easy mode" is ridiculous.
Survivors with correct game sense, mindgames, fake movements and stealth can be super efficient as well. I think though that Nurse should not have more than 3 blink max in my opinion, 4 and 5 blinks are a bit OP; i admit it, and they aren't even so necessary, a good Nurse can play perfectly with no more than 3.

Nurse isn’t the only viable killer. All the killers are viable people just don’t want to take the time and learn how to play smart.She is the only true viable killer. That's why she's so prominent in the higher ranks compared to the other killers.
Until the maps are reworked to make long loops impossible and stealth more important than running in circles and thus allowing for other killers to do good, Nurse is what people will play to counter the bullshit that DbD suffers from.You could not be further from the truth. People use nurse so much because they want to avoid actually using any skill possible. Nurse is [BAD WORD] easy. Especially rank 1's, literally no skill involved with nurse at all.
The classic guy who probably has like...10 games using the Nurse and talks...oh and don't tell me: "it's not true, i've played Nurse since she came out"...yeah yeah keep telling us that.
Anyway we Nurse mains don't play her just because we like her, we play her because it's the only way we can deal with your stupidity called looping, simply because this game, besides Nurse is just...looping, and personally, i think that's just utterly stupid. I didn't buy this game to play Nascar simulator, i bought this game to have the power role, and if i can't counter looping 101% of the times (Just Nurse) this game is just stupid and not worth playing, period.
I don't care if i can use M I N D G A M E S to counter somehow looping, or use this killer, or that one, or this perk...i just don't care. Looping shouldn't exist, period. it's not a factor of a good horror game. If you personally are happy circling around ######### for ages and get teabagged after 10000 stuns with Enduring, and then maybe get the guy down, good for you, but i'm happy playing in a different way. -
@Speshul_Kitten said:
I’m all for it, I think it will make the game exciting for both sides, while helping the devs buff killers in the long run. My only concern is that we may see a lot more Open Handed perk showing up, so maybe cap the range of the killers aura from the cap it’s already at just to be more fair.The only buff i'm really excited about for killers in the next patch is the DS nerf, i'm really looking forward for it. We could say this is the first of many possible future buffs, maybe. I just hope crying survivors won't cry for it like they did with the hatch changes, and then devs will revert it back, let's wait.
-
It won't affect me at all since i've only been playing Nurse since last September, and stopped using any other killer. I was just tired of being looped, i recognised it's a problem that will never go away (because it would mean remaking completely from dust the new chase mechanic) so i said: i didn't buy this game to be looped around ######### for ages, it doesn't mean it's unbalanced, it just means it's stupid, the game is stupid, so i just play Nurse, and i'm fine with that, we could say that if every killer was like me, this game would be dead ages ago. I understand you though, i understand this is not the definition of a good game and that some people might get tired of the same killer over and over again every time.
On the bright side, at least we will finally get a good balance for DS, finally and hopefully.
-
I like some ideas you guys said: Maybe make so it's like BBQ: every survivor sees each other and the killer's aura just for 4-5 seconds after one guy gets hooked, and leave the Kindred perk in the game as it is now, so if someone is annoyed by camping and by the lack of coordination this much, it should just run the perk to have the full aura always showing up.
The bad thing is: It would punsih every killer, not just camping ones, since it gives to survivors excessive coordination no matter what, they're trying to make anti-camping mechanics, but it'll end up like the BT period in March 2017, it was just something to troll, not to punish camping.
It's also true that Kindred, in order to work properly, it needs survivors to be good as well, if they are #########, they'll just rush everyone the hook as if it was a rush to who farms first (and trust me, i used to run Kindred a lot as survivor when i was playing solo, i stopped using cause it was so damn useless if yur mates are potatoes, they'll just either leave you there or rush you to farm you in front of the killer, i stopped using it for this reason) but it's also true that not all survivors are idiots, especially on high ranks. I guess we'll see, but i'm kinda worried just like you.
-
@White_Owl said:
Mmmh... while your reasons are valid I think the fact of needing to make choices is an important factor. Having an additional slot means that everyone would probably use it for Ruin while at the same time they'd have a complete build they couldn't have if they wanted to use Ruin.They shouldn't be forced to use Ruin in the first place. Why do i have to be forced to run a perk in order to win, like...without that, i can't. I don't think that's good game design. No matter what side you play. It means there's something wrong with the game the need to fix (in this case, the game time too short)
Anyway at least 1 or 2 more slots would take more power to killers, since it's already 4 vs 16 -
@Iceman said:
I was actually excited to play as survivor when they introduce the idea of having the killer close the hatch. I felt it would have made the game even more fun and scary. I wish they just go back to the original idea.Also if I am the last survivor standing and the hatch is open then personally I do not care if I die or escape because I at least safety pip or pip by this point.
Side note: Correct me if I am wrong but doesn’t the hatch spawn in after 2 generators? If I know the killer can close the hatch then as a survivor I would find the hatch just so I know where it is located if I am the last survivor
The hatch spawns as closed when there are either just 2 survivors left and at least 2 gens done, or when there is 1 or 0 gens left whatsoever, no matter how many survivors are left. But if, for example, 3 survivors are left and 2 gens are missing, it doesn't spawn. Anyway yes, if the killer can track down the hatch slugging one of the 2 guys left, then so can the survivors, but they are lazy and entitled.
-
@Orion said:
Since Survivors say NOED reward bad gameplay, the hatch should become a perk.Maybe a perk is a bit too much, but what about it being an offering instead? Everyone would use it whatsoever, almost every game but at least it's not completely guaranteed. Then ofc you'd need a better balance even if it existed through a perk or an offering, but it's an idea xD
-
@Master said:
It's not a solution to counterflawed map design by introducing perks like bamboozle, same applies to ru in
This way mandatory perks are created and every game is the sameWell isn't that the case already? Ruin every game especiallly at high ranks, you just can't win without it, and most killer but Nurse use Enduring as well against looping.. with more perk slots there's more variety at least
-
@M2Fream said:
I think 2 would be better than 1What about 2 perk slots just for hex perks, and 4 for normal perks? It's an idea i've had in mind for a little bit. So there are 6 perks total, maybe it could work
-
@Iceman said:
To start off yes this was a long topic, I would suggest if you can shorten it and get to the point you can get more response from other players with out them getting discouraged by having to read.Any who I like the idea but I think there should only be four generator that need to be filled and 3 already good to start on. This way as a survivor I still can get a gen done without having to spend the whole time looking for fuel to do every single gen.
Also even if survivors decide to do the first three gens first the killer still have chance of securing a kill because the last four gens need fuel. So yes it will still slow the games down.
I was thinking to maybe put locks on exit gates and having to go through difficult skill checks before you can open the gate.
The fuel mechanic can be discussed but i like that you partially agree wih me, even though i think maybe 3 to start on and just 4 in total are a bit too short, it still depends a little bit on RNG if you find fuel or not, and 40 seconds to complete a gen with 2 people on the same gen without having something else to do first i still think is kinda unbalanced. Maybe it would get to a point where a last gen is missing and 3 are close by, something survivors hate (Doctor kinda taking the game hostage like) But anyway, it would be cool to see a change like these, regardless what are the secondary objectives on a PTB
Anyway i put a TLDR, which explains pretty much the idea, if someone wants to go deeper, can read the rest, it's a long and difficult topic, and i can't do much to remove the laziness from people.
