Sounds like you got outplayed it happens. Hey at least you had a fun chase though that’s all you can really ask for In dbd.
"too many weskers"
"comp nurses and blights all around"
"why is 95% of killer roster isn't being played?"
yeah, because they don't want to be "outplayed" lmao. running mft, burning bs maps against m1 killers is skill expression for sure.

I find endurance as annoying as killer as I find deep-wound annoying as survivor. It's one of those things you don't care about when it doesn't happen often but can be frustrating if the whole playstyle / build is based around it.
is there even a "build" around deep wounds? only pinhead and trapper xd has an add on for it but i can't think of any other
edit: oh pig has one too where you get it after failing a box skill check if you are injured.
-
there are 3 perks that gives endurance after getting a slug up and mft even gives it after healing someone to healthy. waiting until they realize they need to rework and/or remove endurance from wglf and mft to make buckle up unique.

I think with Range and Detonation, Doc is actually okay against MFT.
Also, I often use Knights Guards for stalling and occupying multiple people at once. Imo, if you're expecting Knight's Guards to get hits or downs on their own, you're playing him wrong.
the thing is, there doesnt even need to be a pallet and you can loop several times around anything. so any filler pallet = doc is irrelevant. those add ons might work on semi strong windows and pallets but that's it.
-
nope, pc player and i don't use filters because i don't know how to set them up and didn't ever felt the need to figure out how. just low settings, good enough.
-
it's because of the hook scream changes. it procs earlier like pain res and all hook perks so it takes you a second until you have control over your camera and see some auras. buff is to compensate that.
-
take a break until that stupid perk finally gets its deserved nerf. i'm so rarely playing nowadays, play some killer i'd like and immediately get reminded i shouldn't play weaker killers then i get off.
-
thanks a lot, i feel bad these aren't pinned anymore but it's greatly appreciated.

Because, as I said, they are outdated. They were introduced in a time where Exhaustion recovered while running. But even with their times shortened, it does not really matter. 5 seconds of Exhaustion still means that the Exhaustion will not really recover in chase. So it does not matter if it is 5 seconds, 30 seconds, 90 seconds or whatever. Let alone that Fearmonger exists as a decent Perk, which also provides 5 seconds of Exhaustion. And there are Add Ons, which are a smaller investment (an Add On-Slot weighs less than a Perk-Slot IMO) which do the same.
I mean, just imagine old Ruin was still around (red Skill Checks, Regression for Good Skill Checks) and the Instruction Add On (no Skill Checks on Gens) would have been a thing back then. Killers would have rioted because an Add On would have countered a Perk. And this is what should not be the case.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3525463#Comment_3525463
Oh, it surely does. Because the Survivor who has the RBT on their head will be an easier target than other Survivors since they are injured (which can even be ensured when using the Mangled-Add On as well) and they wont have any Exhaustion-Perk while other Survivors would have them. Again, not saying that this is her strongest Add On, because it is not. But it promotes a playstyle which is the complete opposite of how Pig is played.
idk how exhaustion add ons are outdated though when exhaustion still exists as a mechanic and there are perks around it, like mft :) and no i don't think any killer player would complain about no skillcheck add on either, especially since toolboxes don't have an entire gen worth of charges anymore.
-
i'd expect an eyrie or even a garden offering from survivors with such attitude.
-
Has anyone seen the blood point bonus switch to the survivor side lately?
noone understood this sentence for some reason. but to answer it the incentive is on survivor on day time for me and switches to killer in early evening. but lately it started to switch to killer a bit earlier than normal, idk.
-
her silent foot steps one seems nice, i'll be able to go for flashbang saves with any survivor other than renato.

The best way is to Play SWF so they'll know your strategy and your perks.
You can't blame solo queue player for trying to heal you when they don't know. Same for power struggle, deliverance and some other perks that are detrimental to solo queue games when there's no information.
there is no redeeming a soloq player trying to loop around your slug and dropping the pallet you are trying to use with power struggle because even if you didn't have that they are denying a possible pallet save for absolutely no reason. other than that i agree
-
drones shouldn't inflict or progress exposed unless the survivor is being chased. and gen spawns need some overall work
-
tbf, there are WAY WAY too many dog maps but wretched shop isn't one of them. i'd even say it's a weak one (killer sided). even though we need more bubba players in the game, i'm going to suggest trying a stronger killer.

I really don't get this... is anyone saying that every single perk needs to be known from the start?
All I see is "this specific perks needs a tell that it activated".
And "so every perks needs to be known from the start?" Is just an entirely new sentence people are saying like it answers anything...
which perks then? you are informed of dissolution and i think even that's too much. that's just nerfing non meta killer perks because i don't know what perks would give that info other than spirit fury or coup.
"this specific perks needs a tell that it activated"
i personally think it's already omega obvious that a perk is in play for the most part. even info perks like aura reading and discordance. it can only be a new player friendly feature but alas, they need to be familiar with perks and it'll take some time.
-
because you don't need to? survivors are switching stuff blindly where if you were able to you would switch stuff to counter their items/prestiges or whatever.
-
imagine the amount of perks that would be completely irrelevant if they were known right at the start. noed, bw, devour, spirit fury, enduring, lightborn, discordance... and hope users could expect to get tunnelled in 90% of their games. it's a massive NO from me, and my imagination can't go further on how that "issue" could be resolved other than showing the perks from the start.
-
for me it's oni. somewhat high skill ceiling, very strong killer, not disliked by survivors including myself and most importantly he can't be looped into oblivion by survivors with mft hope and all that bs.
-
@Venusa said:
I really recommend you drop killer for a couple of days and play survivor to see what most killers do to win. It'll help you get better at killer.
so this is how people become campers and tunnellers?
-
by not releasing perks that only hurt weaker killers like mft 👍️

mft is broken so is that garbage map. case closed

Nah, it's says this perk does not stack. So this mean you will be run with 5% haste. MfT will be wasted in boon range.
p sure it says it doesn't stack by itself
-
@ThanksForDaily said:
Your comparison is totally wrong and doesn't make any sense.
Blights rush speed is 230%, MFT doesn't do anything against it.
exactly. it's a "i want to crush any non meta killer" perk which is the main reason why it's unhealthy.
-
"But most 110% Killers are ranged, just use your ranged power"
i love this the most. they think all ranged projectiles work like artist crows? objects that survivors can loop you around catch your ranged projectiles, crazy stuff i know.
-
1- remove hatch
2- give killers the ability to open gates in case the last one or even two survivors decide to hide and take you hostage
3- basekit yellow mori starts once the last survivor goes down so the most you'll have to wait as survivor will be the time the remaining gens will take. both gates automatically open if the one last survivor manages to do the last gen.
4- profit

Funny. For me it's usually 100% survivor pretty much all day until late evening.
same, 100% during the day but earlier for me, like at 5 pm it switches to killer 100% all the way until dawn. consistent, in the event it was rarely 100% on either side, but turned to normal thankfully

is it suddenly wrong if someone does care? why?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3516408#Comment_3516408
they didn't waste the time of someone else. the bot was down at some point. the survivor did not give up.
they are both trying to win, but only the killer is being called desperate?
imagine someone trying to win getting under your skin... damn...
also... people have in fact reported bots t-bagging
A plague who slugged me to find a bot
i mostly meant this. she might have not wanted to drag the match any more with the bot rescuing but then she could just camp the hook and end the game. but tbf i too would just give her her precious 4k in that scenario after she decides to slug me and a damn bot.
and no, maybe the bming survivors from previous matches got to the plague's skin was what i meant, but slugging to secure the 4th bot kill is something else.
you do you at the end of the day everyone plays how they want, but the point of the post obviously wasn't like she cannot do that or whatever, it's just such an unnecessary and weird behavior. i just hope she actually was doing a challenge or adept.

It literally is
"Is this the level of desperation we're at now?"
They are calling what the killer did desperation. Because the killers aren't allowed to want a 4k apparently.
There is nothing else to this post. It's pointing at someone and going "Look at that tryhard trying to get a 4k. Gonna call them desperate for wanting it and hope for an echo chamber of people agreeing with me"
i'd like to understand the mentality of someone that cares about a bot getting hatch or not im not gonna lie, and wasting a real human's time for it. i get sometimes killer games are tough and all the bming get through people's skin, but it's a bot it won't t-bag at the top of the hatch.
-
@Alice_pbg said:
Someone playing the game normally
"Is this desperation?"
Why is it a big deal that the killer wants a 4k?
Yes they can do it, yes it's at their will and not against the rules. but you think that's the topic here?
-
no counterplay. it should work like mft's endurance.
-
they are countering deliverance with 0 hooks, you obviously wouldn't understand a chess player.
-
hot take: they are fine. blood amber is slept on and bond on demand isn't even bad. they need to be iri though, and they are add on reliant (obvious for keys and maps need range). if hex perks were good, maps would be as well. maybe maps could use some basekit range buff on gen tracking.
-
1 loadout is fine, multiple people dedicating to some gimmick? it's boring. map offerings tho?? hell nah i'm outie
-
new sadako is fine, and trapper is super boring and annoying to face. blight, oni and wesker flicks and other "techs" should be embraced and acknowledged as features, they add extra depth and deserved strength to the killers since they are rather hard to execute.

It is active only when injured and not exhausted. So survivors must avoid exhaustion perks (the most powerful one FYI) to get value. Seems balanced. Unlike handholding bloodlust.
i wouldn't care less if bloodlust didn't exist on maps like newly reworked farm maps, midwich and dead dawg. would you be ok if all maps were at the same strength level though so BL wouldn't be a necessity anymore? i bet you would be one of the first people to screech "map balance" around here.

But Survivors have to sacrifice a health state already to use made for this, while hitting a survivor surly is no sacrifice to the killer, but somehting he wants to do. Meaning made for this activates when the survivor is already at a disadvantage, while Brutalitiy activates when the killer is already at the advantage.
There is a reason why self care even in the current state is still a top 10 perk, because for a lot of survivors, having just one health state is a risk. Yes, there are high skill survivors that can handle it, but the majority of people obviously cant.
But Survivors have to sacrifice a health state already to use made for this
no they do not. they will get hit regardless, but they get free movement speed with this perk. having to sacrifice a health state is something like the perk "for the people". hope this helps :)
-
a good leon is a myth, but there are really good rebeccas so it's leon easily
-
i give it if i think the last survivor is way better than their teammates to the point i feel bad for them, and if they were nice/normal. or if they are brand new.
-
yea, a dwight took a hit for the unhook across the whole map from the gate, and still made it with hope mft. idk very frustrating if you care about winning and losing to such strong stuff and being helpless. weaker killers literally are helpless against those.
-
mettle isn't only risky, it also requires too much work. you could run around the chase the whole game and barely get to the 3 prot hits with 0-1 gens remaining or be useless and solo lose the match for the team. yes you being on gens is 10 times better than you taking protection hits 90% of the time as survivor.

I remember hearing that around Clown's release the devs said they were going to slow down on making new realms and focus on making new maps for existing realms. Since that statement, they've done it a total of 3 times I'm pretty sure. Honestly, I wouldn't care how many realms there were if they just stopped with map offerings. They just need to go and I feel like they have no place in dbd anymore with the direction the devs seem to want to take the game.
yep. i wouldn't mind more and more realms if map offerings were removed, there would be no bloodweb clutter and people wouldn't guarantee the one very map they want to go with the offering to the realm. also, map offerings are toxic ay eff.
-
i'm so glad boons are bad and omega rare now because i was so worn out kicking totems non stop. the access to unlimited booning is still a problem and will emerge as soon as we get a decent boon perk which we can expect to in near future - we haven't got one for how many chapters?
hexes? other than devour i don't think they are worth the risk of having it insta-cleansed. so totems are just there for inner healing and noed. penti/plaything too.
-
i let them die on hook only it's respectable and understandable. i ain't letting you go against a bubba pig or freddy sit your *** and play it. objectively though, i really don't know what would be the right thing to do as players or game devs. having to play a game you aren't enjoying, in other words, being forced to play a video game doesn't sound right. survivors should either be given chances of seeing what they are about to play against and lobby dodging so they don't have to play against killers/builds they hate, or the suicides should stay as they are.

Oh then u must be a survivor. Run no mither then
yea, i haven't seen anyone purposefully stay injured just to get mft value. they heal, during chase if they get injured they'll get it right back anyway. maybe for a change idea survivors could lose it if they heal to healthy 2 times so it's actually a choice they have to make to stay injured for mft value. but rn, it is not a choice or risk they have to take. at all.

@ChefObama said:
After watching Otz's new video, he brought up some interesting ideas that I haven't considered, but for the most part I disagree on. I would like to hear opinions from people who play both sides, like I just play whichever side has boosted bloodpoints lol.
His 3 ideas were:
- Haste effects no longer stack. His main argument for this was that hope and MFT combined are op, but I don't think he considered that this is only in effect for the endgame, which is a small part of the game overall. If I'm a killer and the survivors are all running this combo I'm not upset about haste stacking because I had the whole rest of the game to get them.
- Killer gets a visual warning when it procs. I don't think this is a bad idea.
- Endurance effect removed. Now this is something I'm iffy on because picking someone up is risky while injured anyways and the killer can just down the person who got picked up.
The main thing I really think he didn't consider through his video was that to activate this perk there are 2 requirements: You must be injured and must not be exhausted. Being injured is risky in itself because it means you don't get a second chance if you make a mistake and the 3% will often not save you. Also you are easier to locate and must play safer overall. Secondly you cannot really use any exhaustion perks effectively if you have MFT because it just cancels it out. I find exhaustion perks like lithe and mid chase sprint burst to be more frustrating then a survivor running a tiny bit faster.
Overall I don't think this perk needs to be changed. Maybe add the visual effect but that's it. As someone who plays killer a decent amount I have no problem with survivors using this perk as this means they're more likely to stay injured, making it easier to locate them and only having to hit them once to down them. From a survivor perspective this only makes a difference if you know how to loop in the first place, and often is just a perk that makes sure I make a window or pallet without being hit, versus leaving it up to ping.
Being injured is risky in itself
it's not. it's the natural process of getting downed and hooked by a killer that doesn't have a oneshot power which is like 85% of killer roster.
for a change idea: just give the perk a duration for which it can be active total. 2-3 mins would be ideal so the user can't recklessly stay injured and get infinite value.
-
actually the biggest offender is ghost face if we were to think about it. they don't serve the most straight forward gameplay for sure but hopefully its strength compensates.
-
i think it is general consensus that twins is almost unplayable without toy sword but there is nothing being done about this sadly. at least it's only brown, i guess.
